Reviewed during covid mess...Good prices on tires and alignment (for heavy 4x4). People that work here are really nice and helpful. They let me know up front that it would take longer than normal to get me out the door due to a lack of technicians in the garage. Also covid has somehow affected the availability of tires and I had to take what they had instead of choosing my favorite brand. But happy with what I got and I will return.Best bet is to leave your vehicle and just have them call you when its done.

I brought my vehicle in for a nail in one of my tires. This has happened to be me a couple of times. Both times, I was told that my tire couldnt be patched. And I need new tires. I also had to wait 4 hours for a new tire to be delivered to Gateway. Never again will I go to Gateway for tire issues. Also, one of the employees was rude to me.

Brought in my 2011 BMW 328i xdrive for 4 new tires and wheel alignment. I called ahead and spoke with Bill. Bill gave me a few options of different tires and was extremely patient answering all of my questions. He helped me choose the best option though his recommendations. The Team at Gateway did the job and I was on my way. I had nothing but great customer service here.

Good customer service, but 50% of time they mess up the alignment.EDIT: They called me and informed me I had a special case with my vehicle after taking it back for warranty service. Their mechanic was specialized enough to figure out what the problem was.

Nice folks and seem to be honest. Only complaint is if you want anything done, you better get there about 30 min before they open because there is a line forming. Sometimes a long wait just for an oil change, but they are nice and that goes a long ways for me.

Horrible, service advisors totally impersonal. Quoted 1 to 1.5 hours to get car in shop. Checked at 1.75 hours for update, was told it would be another hour. No customer sensitivity at all. SA at dealerships are generally rude, but they were terrible.

I went to Gateway on Monday morning at 7:30 to get 2 new tires and an oil change. I was told that itd be a two hour wait. I work 10hr night shifts and had just gotten off. I didnt end up leaving until noon. When I arrived my AC in my car was working as normal. However, when I left it was not cooling off. I had to then take it to my regular mechanic who showed me that the compressor had been disconnected. I understand that they check all the fluids when they change the oil, but the AC compressor is no where near where ANY of the fluid reservoirs are in my car.I almost always use the Gateway in Bartlett or Oakland where I have NEVER had a bad experience, nor felt like I was being taken advantage of. I will NEVER visit this store again and will HIGHLY discourage anyone I know to do the same.

Had a nail in our tire while we were in Memphis area and Gateway got us fixed up with no wait and great service.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The staff is rude and treats you like a child. I would not ever recommend this place. I used to love coming here, and i dont know what has changed over the years but they need to get it together. And it is not just me who thinks this, I have heard from multiple other people that they will stop coming here because of how rude the staff is.

The majority of employees are either a) wearing a mask on their nose/chin or b) not wearing a mask at all. This includes the employees involved with direct customer care at the front desk kiosk. I’ve counted two employees who are appropriately wearing masks.

This was my first time using Gateway and I was so impressed. I had an unexpected flat tire Saturday morning, brought it in, and they were able to fix my rim (which saved me a ton of money!) and quickly get a new tire in! When I came in today to have my new tire put on I was in and out in less than 20 min. The service was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be recommending Matt and his team in the future! Its so nice finding a place I know I can trust!

Came in at 10 a.m for a nail in my tire the lady took my keys and told me they will take care of me. They never told me an estimated time it will get done 3 hours later still not done it’s ridiculous lady upfront should have communicated with me that it will take 4 hours to plug a tire don’t ever come here if you have something to do they are really slow

They really really go the distance for you. My Stump Grinder dully tire had a flat. No other place wanted to even try to fix it. No problem he said took it out put a tube and didnt even charge me. I said you have a new customer and this is my car place.

I have been a customer of Gateway for a few years. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have always been professional and joke around on every visit which is what brings me back. The only wish I’ve ever had is that they take appointments.

I have had to visit the shop on two different occasions for two different vehicles. In both cases, I had a pleasant experience. Their staff is friendly, and their waiting room is large and comfortable. I didn’t feel intimidated walking in, and they treated me with respect.For one of my visits, I had them install four new tires on my truck. I had ordered the tires elsewhere, and they were very accommodating when I asked if they could install them. They quoted me a price that was very reasonable. When I arrived, they had the truck in a bay within five or ten minutes. They also tightened the lug nuts down all the way where I didn’t have to retighten them a few days later. I know that can occasionally be an issue when dealing with wheels. The second time I went, I needed a plug for a nail hole in a tire. I was in and out within a half an hour, and I didn’t have to make an appointment! The price was also less than I expected. They definitely took care of me then!I would definitely recommend them for any issues you have with your tires.

Asked how long it’d take to get my truck in and the guy said a 20 minute wait, but he didn’t tell me it’d be a 2.5 hour job to get one tire patched and the wheels balanced (only partially) because their machine couldn’t get two of them to balance.

Shop of outstanding gentleman! They relayed information and status of my vehicle before I even had to ask! They also had a clean and relaxing waiting area with popcorn and a big flat screen to enjoy while I waited for them to finish up on my repairs! Would highly recommend Gateway tire time and again!

Very poor service! I left my car with them to fix a nail in one of my tires and while in the possession of my car, they hit a curb, causing the carbon fiber front lip I added months back to crack. They payed for a new piece but it never should have happened in the first place. They eventually added two new tires but after a few days of driving, I could tell my alignment was off! When I took it to the dealership, they told me that gateway put my new tires on the wrong way! Do not recommend

Fantastic customer service. I came in just before close on a Friday and instead of being angry they had to stay a bit longer they were super helpful and eager to get me back on the road. They will do all they can to make sure you are in and out as quickly as possible. They are honest and upfront with everything and they have free popcorn!

The guys here are very honest and the prices are fair. This is my go to tire shop since we moved here from Chattanooga. Great place!

So helpful. I ran over a screw while trying to leave on vacation tonight. Went 3 places as my tire was deflating. Thankfully the guys here were able to change out my tire for a new one, as the puncture was on the side, and get me on my way. David was understanding, didnt talk down to me, and just got me on my way. of course I walked in unannounced at 5:37 when they were in ther princess of closing at 6. This is what customer service is supposed to be. Cant say enough. Thanks guys... from me and my girls. Vacation disaster avoided.

Just went into get my tire plugged and they were extremely nice and very knowledgeable.

Took my wife’s car in for the “69.95 special” to get the annual radiator flush as advertised in a local mail flyer. I decided to wait on it since it was my day off and I got there when they opened. Fifteen (15) minutes after taking it in, the clerk call me up to the counter. He says the coolant reservoir tank will have to be replaced since the flush will push old fluid back into it. I told him I had it replaced 2 years before when the original reservoir tank was leaking and asked why they could not disconnect the hose and drain it instead. He answered “we can’t do that...it will have to be replaced. It will be $120 for the part and $60 for labor”. So, the $69.95 “special” turned into a $277 bill. I have the distinct feeling that this is normal procedure and I’m not the first - nor will be the last - customer to be provided with this “special”. In the last 12 months I have now spent well over $3,000 at this Gateway Tire location for repair services and tires. There will be more more ever spent there again by me or my family. In addition, I will attempt to make certain that nobody I know - or come into contact with, in re to auto services gives Gateway any business. It’s just another typical ripoff auto repair business in my opinion 😡.

Servic was speedy and price was competitive.

I buy my tires here and get lifetime rotations, which saves me $20 every few months, plus they have very good oil change costs. Comfortable waiting areas with t.v.s on and lots of magazines to read. One drawback is that they are usually busy, so be ready to spend a little bit of time there, or come back in a couple of hours.

I’ve had two different experiences there. Some front desk guys are super friendly and always on the go. Today I met David, at the front desk. He makes me never want to come back to this gateway. Never a smile, never an update unless I walk up to ask, texting on his phone constantly. When my car was ready, he glanced at me twice, not a word. I saw him chatting with other employees rather than telling me hey it’s ready, just give me a second. So I just walk up to the desk myself, he ignored me while clicking on his computer. Even if he was busy he could’ve said something. He gave me dead silence avoiding eye contact while I stood there hoping to rush home before my son gets home from school. Another employee Sean came around to help me instead, while David walked away to text on his phone. David was in no hurry to update me or help me, but he was in a hurry to pull out his cell phone. I just want the operations manager to know what a terrible job David did, and hopefully he will not continue to treat customers rudely, or continue to chitchat and texting on the job.

Very happy with my experience. Needed new tires and requested a brand they did not stock. Quote was lower than 1 competitor, but not as good as another. After discussion with staff, original quote was lowered and tires were purchased. Installation was timely. I will be a repeat customer.

Very Happy with the service today! My tire had a slow leak & they found 2 nails and were able to patch both.

Went in to get my tire patched because I had a screw in it. The screw didnt puncture the inside lining of the tire, so they ended up not having to patch it. They didnt charge me for the it. Would come here again. Only thing I didnt like was the wait, but theres not much you can do about that.

This is a really good place to get your tires rotated and oil changed. One of the best things about Gateway is that they will always air up your tires or fix a puncture free of charge, hoping that you will eventually get your new tires from them! What a wonderful business strategy! I like how they topped off my windshield washer fluid and check everything else during a normal oil change. I even had a tail light out that I wasnt aware of but they replaced for me, and the price is very affordable. I really enjoy the free Wi-Fi and the Coke machine inside with TV and coffee. I was able to work on my laptop and my car was ready faster than I expected. Top-notch!

I took my Acura MDX by there on a Saturday in May and left them with instructions to change oil, rotate tires and check the brakes as i was leaving for vacation the next day. Provided cell upon leaving. Discovered voicemail on land line at home a couple of hours later that car was ready. Manager checked me out with no mention of brakes. When i asked, I am sure the mechanic checked them and they must be fine or he would have noted it - Long story a bit shorter, leaving gulf coast a week to the day later, and the grinding began. Took it to another shop upon getting home. Yep, rotors gone, and $200 along with normal brake job cost, and I was good to go. More to add to the story but that is probably enough.

Asked to have my tires balanced and rotated and aligned. They proceeded to try and align my vehicle with out rotating or balancing the tires. Save yourself the hastle and go to Olive Branch.

Assistant manager is unorganized, rude, and has poor communication skills. I was the first customer of the day; but, waited 3.5 hours for two new front tires and an alignment. They never told me my two rear-tires were expired and needed replaced. Go somewhere else.

I brought in our 1957 Aljo vintage camper to have new tires put on and bearings checked and packed. It was a very hot day. My camper trailer has many issues a hitch that is slightly broken so it takes extra patience and diligence to work with, a larger axle than was typical so the tires had to be deflated to even get them off the trailer. I was treated with help, respect and kindness throughout this process from beginning, middle to end. I have traveled to over four continents and most of the United States and can honestly say David at Gateway Tires in Collierville TN is a rare gem in this world. God Bless you all!

Worst place I have ever been to. I will be filing a complaint. The people had the worst attitudes and wouldnt even look at you. I was told an oil change would be an hour wait. After waiting for 2 hours I was told they couldnt do it because some old oil was underneath my oil that was back from a leak I had a year ago and had been fixed. I watched as people came in after me left before me and after asking them how it was coming several times they said good it will be done shortly. Just lies. I will never go to any gateway again.

Had a flat on my front tractor tire. They fixed it FREE--wouldnt LET me pay them. Definitely going back for anything I need in their category!

I had a slow leak in a tire and they took care of everything! They have a nice waiting room(TVs, popcorn, WiFi), and it took about 45 minutes for them to find and fix the problem (an embedded nail and screw). They waived the cost of the fix and told me to come back and see them. I definitely will!

I called in & got a quote for a single tire. Arrived to get the tire and was told the quote they gave me was incorrect and it would be be $20 more than what they said. I know thats not a lot but I felt a bit cheated there.

I have a Fiat 500 Abarth. Took new tires in to get the mounted. Left with a stripped bolt, two badly scratched rims, a broken center cap and all four tires inflated improperly. They had no idea what the car was and I had go in to the garage because they were using the settings for a Mini. I would not go in there if you have nice wheels. I was distracted because I thought they lost my custom value stem caps and the fact that they could not get pressure correct. I would NOT trust them with a nice car. Its going to be a costly lesson for me.

Service cost more to do yhe brakes than i thought i was going to pay. Waited for 3 hours and still havent gotten truck completed. And i think serviceman went on lunch before fjnishjng the job. Unacceptable. Will not return here.

Love my new tires rides almost like a new one

I called this shop to get a quote for a new alternator, and was quoted $565. Unfortunately I waited too long, and needed to be towed into their shop a few days later. They took advantage of the fact that my car was stuck there (unless I wanted to pay for another tow to a different shop) and gouged me on the price of the part. New total? 712.99!! The manager was rude and completely unwilling to budge. Its unfortunate that shops like this are not willing to look for long term customer service, as Ill need a new timing belt, brakes, and whatever else happens to go wrong in my 9 year old Odyssey. Gateway lost a customer over this one. No one likes to be taken advantage of.

They do not match competitors like Discount Tire. The folks at Discount tire matched a price from Amazon. Fixed a flat on another vehicle at no charge.

Been here several times and theyve been great, dont feel like Im getting ripped off from another car repair shop and thats hard to find.

Tried to get tire quote online, got email confirmation..... But took 3 days to get the quote, disputed saying it would be within 24 hours. Second quote request for a different tire STILL not received after 4 days, despite email confirmation that they received it. Guessing they dont need or want my business, I guess I will be going to their competitor.
