We needed our stuff stored for a few days while carpeting & flooring were being installed after a fall flood. D&D sent out a truck with three workers, they packed and loaded the truck and took it to storage for a week. When they returned it, we saw that they had not marked the boxes so they could be returned to the room they came from, some items were just put in garbage bags, this included an antique lamp. Also inside the bag with the lamp was a wooden stool, no extra wrapping on either of them just them and a keyboard all together in a garbage bag. They unloaded and just stuck most boxes in as close to the door as they could with the exception of the bed frames and mattresses. The lamp was damaged, and when D&D was contacted afterwards, their reply was you signed the release so it’s on you. The driver presents you with the release as soon as the truck is unloaded, not when the boxes are opened and items are inspected. If we had done that, the driver and helper would have been here for hours waiting on us. So my suggestion to anyone using them is don’t sign release until everything is unpacked. The guy that packed it did not return with the driver and helper. The driver and his helper were very nice young men, and super polite as well. But the companies stand might be legal but if they are smart, they’d pay for the small damages just to not get unfavorable reviews where they might lose a job to a company with better reviews, as they say, stepping over dollars to pick up pennies.This is an added comment after conversation with responder, If their was no agreement to pack any items, why did they pack items? Brought in boxes and packing paper as well, and they packed stuff that was lose and needed to be put in boxes etc.

D&D helped us combine two households to a new house and a storage unit. Everything went without a hitch. The movers asked if they were unsure where something was going. Most importantly, nothing was lost or broken. Very grateful.

Hired D&D to move us into our apartment. They showed up on time (early actually) and did the job just as they said they would. Communication with Jackie in the office and the actual movers both were excellent. Will call them when we move out!!

When I signed up with this mover I was told that it would not exceed a certain dollar amount . I did add packing to the move but they charged an additional 1500.00. I was also under the assumption that the total price would be to move to a new residence rather than just to a storage unit for about a month. They informed me it would be an additional charge to move it to my new house. Very poor disclosure prior to being hired, would NOT recommend this company to anyone

We have used D&D moving and storage multiple times. My husband has moved several times for work from round rock to College Station, from College Station to Rockwall then from Rockwall to New Braunfels, from New Braunfels to Austin and another local move afterwards.Each time the service was excellent and they were very professional which is why we kept calling them back. This last move however the local move, there were some damages to our walls and entry door both at the home that we moved out of as well as the home that we moved into. This was unique to this last move only, but upon some back and forth collaboration with the company they made it right. Thankful they are attentive to details!

The movers did an awesome job but the management was the worst people I have ever had to deal with. An hour before my movers were supposed to be there the owner (Dan I believe) yelled on the phone with me, told me my move was cancelled, then hung up on me (I was calling to verify a time the movers were coming and he said I had an attitude). Thankfully was able to talk to someone else and had them verify that my move was not cancelled. Not only that but when the movers showed up to my house the owner texted the head mover guy telling him to charge me MORE than what was agreed upon (thankful the head guy in charge had morals and did not charge me that). Moving is so stressful as it is and I would recommend going somewhere else that does not threaten to cancel your move the same hour that it is supposed to happen. Awful business ethics and clearly not a good person.*Edit: owners response is completely false but I cannot respond back. DO NOT trust these people*

This company rocks!! We hired them to move our 5,000 square foot office. We assumed it would take all day and then some, but their crew was awesome and finished in about 5 hours. The guys were super friendly, and made the whole experience actually enjoyable. The guys were joking with each other and they all had great attitudes all day. I got a crew of 3 and only 1 of them appeared to have ever moved anything before. They were unprofessional in addition to damaging my furniture. I will not call them again under any circumstance.

I highly, highly recommend D and D Moving. Everyone from the beginning, starting with Madison to our movers, Eli, Rodney, Thomas and Joshua were amazing and very professional. Eli and Rodney were very prompt on the first day, and worked extremely hard in the 100+ degree hot Texas weather. And then they returned the next morning to unload along with Thomas and Joshua who were just as hard workers. They were polite, friendly, and very helpful with our move. I cannot say enough positive about them. Highly recommend!

We used D&D to move from DFW area to BCS. The whole team was very professional and responsive from start to finish. Madison was prompt in responding to a quote and planning every aspect of the move. Madison was prompt and professional when we called in to the office, she was out immediately giving us a play by play and we had a quote ladder the same day. When moving day arrived Greg, Isac, and Marcius pulled up to the driveway 2 min early. These gentlemen were polite, professional, and knowledgeable (this was not their first move). Greg even took the time and effort to assist our 6yr old daughter in assuring her dolls were in place and their house was set up just perfect.I’ve known Dan for many years and always said if we ever moved they were calling him to do it. Boy was that the right call to make. Dan, Madison and the whole crew were amazing and if anyone you know or care about wants to move, I urgently suggest giving them the first opportunity. I have a missing tackle box,full of fishing lures,other wise everything else was here that was delivered. I called D&D and they sent it to me within 3 days. Thankyou so much. This company was so helpful and kind employees.

My initial negative reaction was due to Madison and administrative issues. We had heard great things about D&D and booked them early knowing they book up. Then corona hit. My real estate agent told me that she was contacted by D&D about a 25% discount due to corona. I contacted Madison about the discount and was told that because I booked early, I had already received the discount. There was no indication anywhere of an early booking discount, which makes me feel like they were artificially increasing prices to offer the discount during corona.My quote included moving our trampoline (which I had sent pictures of). The day of, the movers decided they couldn’t move the trampoline. When I called to get a modified quote without the trampoline, Madison informed me that she didn’t actually charge me for the trampoline in the first place, so she wouldn’t take any money off. This is absurd as I agreed to a quote that included moving the trampoline... it wasn’t my fault whether or not they actually included it in their calculations. She was incredibly rude about it too. She finally offered me $100 off the move which I agreed to. It cost $350 from another company to move it, which is why I agreed to D&D’s higher prices in the first place bc the trampoline would be moved.The move itself was ok. It was fast. It seemed reckless. We had some damage, but I know that’s to be somewhat expected. The men were polite. But my major issue came a few days later when I realized that the broke a leg of my daughter’s dresser and instead of telling us about it, they just stuck the broken leg under the dresser. This is so so so dangerous as it could have toppled onto my young child at any time.Also, heads up- they charge a large credit card processing fee and prefer checks. This would have been totally cool except they were packed away in a box somewhere. So if you decide to use them, leave a check in your purse.

I recently utilitized D&D movers loading services. I am not sure if they use different teams for just loading, different from if they perform the entire move, but I used just the loading services. While the 3 individuals were cordial and easy to work with, the quality of the way they loaded my belongings was not that of experienced movers.I had packed all boxes and placed them in locations labeled. I have moved 5 or 6 times in the last 15 years with much of the same furniture and items...only this time was there damage to my belongings. There were several heavy boxes loaded on top of less heavy items (which ended disastrously upon arrival regardless of how careful you could be driving). They used a bungee and strap tied together across the middle of my king mattress thinking it would actually hold it up. Not the case...and I could have helped them with a ratchet strap if they needed it.There was a fragile item sitting on top of my mantel (ceramic elk with antlers) and I asked them not to touch anything on the fireplace or mantel. The lead mover agreed they wouldnt touch any of those items. The one thing they took from the mantel was that fragile piece and put it antlers first into an open box....obvious it would break. I would have never packed that without packing paper or bubble wrap, in fact I have always loaded it into my personal vehicle as opposed to in the big moving truck. This is the first time in over 15 years that piece has broken.If you try their services, take pictures along the way and definitely before they pull down the door to close it up. Of course, theirs claims department will not help with any damages since it states this in their paperwork, so if you only let them load for you, any damages are not their problem and they do not feel that poor selection of loading methods is their fault at all. I wrote them in hopes to use it as a learning opportunity since they boast professional services. They denied my claim and stated, Unfortunately, once your items were loaded into your moving truck and when the roll up door comes down, the items are no longer under the Care Custody and Control of D&D Moving and Storage. I wasnt looking for them to pay for all damages since that would have been more than I paid them for the help. I just thought better customer service and possibly a percentage off my bill would have been nice to offer.Good luckif you use their services.

D&D Moving & Storage drove up to the suburbs outside of Philadelphia, PA & packed up my 3 story townhome & moved me to Texas back in 2010. They were on time, friendly, efficient & very careful with all my things, including my concerns with fragile items. They took care of my things as if they were their own & kept in touch with me as I left PA a day later & met them at my new home & storage unit. They packaged & took great care to be sure my belongings were delivered as they found them. They packed wonderfully and nothing broke or went missing. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again, especially for a long distance move.

This company was awesome! Madison kept in constant communication with me for the 3 months of changing moving dates til after the move to check if things had gone well and did I have any problems. The 4 guys (headed by Chester) did a stellar job of getting things packed in well, then unloaded and moved into the proper rooms. Nothing was broken or lost. They made the move so much easier than I had anticipated!

Darius team showed up an hour late but their work was consistent and they didnt take any breaks beyond stopping to get lunch on the way to the new house. It took longer than expected but nothing broke or got scratched. And when my estimate was higher than the actual amount of stuff I had, I was given a not insignificant refund as promised by Madison. All in all, we would use then again and found then to be superior than other movers weve had in the past.

This is the second time we used D&D Movers. The first time was Summer 2006 - they were hired to unload a moving van my husband drove from Indiana. It was August - - and like this time (today 8/5/15) - - the weather was hot, humid and miserable weather for such labor-intensive work. They were excellent in 2006, placing everything where it belonged and no breakage. This time around, I experienced the same level of excellence. D&D moved my office from one side of campus to the other. Cory called me very early to let me know they were running a few minutes late. He called again when they were down the street. I truly appreciated being kept in the loop as it help me organize my day. I wish other companies (furniture retail, cable repair, etc) would do the same. D&D crew parked their truck in a tiny spot (miraculously), introduced themselves, and were ready to work. They were polite, quick, efficient and very professional.

We had an excellent experience with D&D Movers. When I called for my quote, the staff was able to give me an accurate price that was competitive with other area rates - and they were very professional and friendly. The crew showed up on time, was adequately staffed, properly equipped and very respectful and polite. I would highly recommend D&D Movers and would use them again if the need arose.

I had an unprofessional packing and moving experience. The scale of the job was underestimated at the time of the quote, thus, the packing and moving crew were short staffed.Packing occurred on one day which was not completed. On day two, the movers arrived and were surprised that they also had to complete the packing.As the day progressed and it was clearly evident that moving may not be accomplished in the time frame predicted, the crew started to cut corners. Packing became a dump and move initiative. Valued affects and clothing were crushed at the bottom of boxes with heavier material atop. Some items were not wrapped at all. Furniture were moved without pacing moving blanket or wrapping in order to protect surfaces and corners.The movers were clearly exhausted and their legs began to falter with the fatigue. There were multiple missteps and stumbles. Their manager at one point showed up on site, make some rough remarks to her crew and moved on.I felt so bad for the crew and for the situation that I simply started to help them and move contributing 3 hours in total of my own time to the labor.At the destination, coordination was poor. Boxes were unmarked as to contents or room of origin so the crew didnt know where to take them at the destination. The dry wall was gouged and scuffed up whilst moving the furniture. At this point I just wanted this experience to be over and said nothing because the crew had nothing else to give as they and I were so clearly exhausted.This was not my first major move as Ive done so three times before. This was, however, the least organized and executed move. I would not recommend this service.

Is it reasonable to pay almost $13,000 to move the contents of a 4 bedroom home 100 miles? If you think this us reasonable, this is the company for you. Get a detailed, signed contract in advance or you will be seriously taken advantage of. I would never recommend this company.

Very Much Impressed with D&D Movers. I had two storage buildings to unload and bring to College Station and the biggest one was 6 hours away. They arrived early and squeezed that big truck and 44 foot trailer into a space I didnt think possible. Jumped out smiling, friendly and ready to work. The first building was 12x20x ten feet tall and stacked to the ceiling, including a gun safe that weighed a 1000lbs empty. (that actually tested them pretty hard) A King size memory foam mattress crated up in 2x4 frame with plywood box inside that weighed almost as much as the safe and they never blinked. Lots of heavy boxes, books, tools etc. and was ready to move to the next one in a couple hours. Excellent Work, Very pleased and would reccomend them to anyone! Unloading was also excellent very tidy and put down floor blankets in the walkways and entrance to keep from tracking stuff in the house. We even had them move a couple things around to fit better and never quit smiling and laughing. Great guys and great company. Bad as I hate moving they almost made it enjoyable. Kudos to D&D Moving!

It was a PLEASURE to deal with these people! Changed my date several times.. no problem. The 3 guys that came out had everything loaded in just over an hour. I have large heavy Cherry wood furniture and an antique piano that they handled very carefully. It was greatly appreciated. And, Phillip... promised I would mention you..... Seriously.. The whole process was great....from first estimate to actual move. The office personnel were always helpful prior to the move, and the actual moving team was great. They were very professional, moved at a good pace, were extremely careful....and always smiling and laughing. I never thought I would say this about moving, but the team actually made it fun!

The guys were timely and friendly. It wasnt an easy task moving my heavy, large furniture down a winding staircase and they did it with no damage to the walls or furniture. They even stayed a little later to assemble the beds even though I told them it was unnecessary. This was the first time Ive ever used movers and I would definitely use them again. This it put me in panic mode and I called D&D Moving and they had me booked and gave me a quote within 30 minutes. Contacted D&D to have them move a few pieces of furniture to my storage unit. Spoke with the office and they cut me a great deal because I had very little to move and was only going about a quarter mile with it. I was thinking that this move was off to a great start, but little did I know that they would show up close to 2.5 hours late. When calling the office to see where they were, the office manager would tell me that they would be there soon. I missed a day of work due to waiting on them.Once the movers arrived, they were very quick to move my furniture out. This quickness happen to be at the expense of the walls and door of my apartment.Overall gave them two stars, only due to the fact that they worked with me to get the cost down and also they were quick to actually move the furniture.

This was my third time to use D&D Movers in the past 6 years. Arthur and his team arrived on time and they were very professional and extremely helpful and caring. It rained the day that we moved and they did everything that they could to protect my furniture from getting wet. D&D has moved me a total of 3 times. Each time they have been a delight to work with! This was the first time I experienced a minor hiccup, however the head mover rectified the situation immediately and I was taken care of. A great company that is professional and hassle free. I would highly recommend them if you are moving in town or long distance.

My mother attempted to use this place and I am less than pleased to hear how she was treated. The wrong size moving truck was sent (too small) and they were unable to fit everything needed for her out of state move. When she went to talk to the owner he proceeded to mock her, call her a liar, and I had to listen to her cry on the phone. I am beyond disappointed in how ANYONE could treat another person this way. Will NOT be using their services when we move within the next month, id rather load a U-haul myself.

We were moving out of town, and needed someone that would load up, store for a few days, and then deliver in Dallas. Most other companies did not want to do it, or would have had to unpack the trailer into a storage unit for the few extra days. Not D&D, they worked closely with us and our dynamic schedule, loaded everything on time, and then delivered exactly when we asked for it. Overall Great experience during an otherwise stressful time!

I had a great experience with D&D when I recently moved. I shopped around town for prices and they were the least expensive by far. The team was professional and personable, despite having to carry several pieces of EXTREMELY heavy furniture down 3 flights of steps. They were also able to squeeze all of my belongings into a storage unit that I was afraid was going to be too small. They did so by strategically placing each item like a puzzle. Should I ever need to move again, I will definitely be giving them a call. I highly recommend D&D Moving.

I used them in January after recommendation from several co workers. They showed up and took care of everything and then some they were super nice and extra careful with antiques. They put my things where I wanted them at the new place and took care of getting me settled.

We recently made a move from College Station to McKinney, Texas. It was a double move requiring pick-up and storage before our final move to the Dallas area. Every aspect of the moving and storage process went perfectly, without a single hitch or broken anything! The final delivery was completed during miserable weather conditions, but everything was unloaded and set-up without anything getting wet or damaged. It was a quick, efficient, and professional experience. The same crew packed and delivered our household goods and they were exceptional. I highly recommend this group of well-trained movers to anyone making both local and out-of-town moves.

Movers heard me tell neighbor that I would leave some items to the owner and then the movers began asking for items they were supposed to be moving, they were so bold as to begin digging through some unsealed boxes RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, asking if they could have items in the box. Now I have unpacked everything, returned to the old house to verify and I have found that several boxes are missing. I will never use again and will report this to the agency that recommended them.

These folks are amazing. They moved my Dad into his retirement home with great care and patience, they helped me clean out his old house with speed and good humor, and all at a wonderful price. They have been and will continue to be my go-to movers!

I hired D&D Moving to load a U-Haul truck that my husband and I drove to our new home in Pennsylvania. Ive had the unfortunate experience of moving many times in my lifetime and Ive used movers a handful of those times. D&D was by far the best company I used. We hired 3 men, who showed up on time and worked hard until the truck was packed. Ive witnessed movers in the past who took breaks or loaded the truck slowly, but this was not the case with D&D. None of our possessions got damaged in the long, cross country drive. Everything was packed cautiously and blankets I provided were used as they were needed. I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a follow-up call the week after our move to find out how everything went and to ensure we were satisfied. First off let me start by saying I was afraid to even write this review because of how shady their employees were.How do I begin, first off they called and postponed our move for the day.... It was suppose to start in the morning but they said they wouldnt be there till 3pm. They got to my apartment to move me to a house and were SO lazy! I was having a margarita and they even asked if they could have one. One mover asked if he could have a picture of me.... finally they packed up everything and we were on the way to the house... they call me on my cell and say theyre stopping to get subway and theyll meet me at the house when theyre done... They had plenty of time before they came to eat and regardless im not paying for them to sit and eat! they finally unload everything in the house and I finish unpacking and things are missing.. like workout equipment which is expensive... and they never unloaded it and stole it. And accidentally left one of their dollies at my house and had the nerve to call the next day and ask if i could drop it off at D&D early that morning so they wouldnt get in trouble with their boss. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Id rather use a horse and buggy then use this company!!

I have used D&D for two moves. One in town and one nationally, they have been reliable and everything was handled in a professional matter. I will defiantly use them in my future moving needs.

Would never use them again. My dresser was broken, My daughters crib was all scratched up with deep gashes and they started taking it apart with out telling me and lost pieces to it so now my daughter cant use it because its not safe and falls apart. One guy had is girl friend show up to our house to bring him food but she wouldnt leave and was in our way, and then they took off with our stuff to apparently get a new tire and they had tons of room still left in the truck and we were left to find a friend to let us barrow there truck and load it up. oh and I was 5 months pregnant at the time. save your money dont bother hiring this trash!

I used D&D when I moved and they were great! they were early and efficient! My parents used them when they relocated from CS to Missouri and also had nothing but great things to say! Plus they are a locally Aggie owned business!

I hired D&D Movers to help me move to my new apartments. They were professional, fast, and courteous. They did a great job. I will recommed them without any reservation.

I hired them to pack and move. They arrived 4.5 hours late due to some problems with their trailer (wheel bearing went out on the way to my house--lack of maintenance). One of the movers was constantly talking on his cell or texting every time I went in the room. They sent another three guys at about 9 pm, and one of them disappeared. He was sleeping in the truck while I was packing my own stuff. They quoted 6 hours of work, but it took over 11, and I was there until almost 1 am. Since I had to stay much later than planned, my kids and I ended up having to stay in a hotel over night instead of driving on to the new house as planned. Many of the items loaded on the truck were rubbing other items, causing damage. I had about 12 boxes that were crushed due to poor loading. More of my stuff was broken than with all of my previous moves combined. I have moved 11 times in the last 11 years, but this was the first time I hired someone to pack for me. Of the items that were broken, only one was fixed. They were extremely careless with my belongings and two of the items broken had great sentimental value. They wrote a note at the bottom of the receipt saying they would reimburse the cost to fix only two of the many broken items, but I dont trust that they will do this. It was very unprofessional for a moving company. My cost was $2600. If you are a college student without a lot of belongings, they may work for you. If you have things of value, find someone else.

D&D did an excellent job moving me! They were extremely quick and got everything moved in under the 2 hour minimum.

Moving is stressful, but the least stressful part of my move was trusting D and D moving to handle the physical part of the move. The crew was wonderful, arriving on time in spite of bad weather, loading everything with the care needed . Delivery was immediate and they patiently put every item and box where I wanted it . This was a great experience all around and while i dont want to move again any time soon, I give them my full recommendation.

The guys work very diligent quick and asked where every box and every piece of furniture went when they delivered .

Supposed to have been here by 2pm. Its now 2:43 and they havent shown or called. I call the office and they tell me its going to be another hour atleast since their guys are in Bastrop.Edit: after being almost 2 and a half hours late, the guys who showed up did a great job. They were very courteous, friendly, and didnt drop a thing. Even the owner of the company called me and apologized for the mishap in communication. A slow start with D&D but Id be willing to give them another shot in the future. Its obvious by their employees work that they have a high standard of service, and I just caught a bad weather, bad day for them.Gave them another shot this past August, absolutely horrible. Was scheduled for a 9am move. Was asked to reschedule to 12 which I did with no complaints. Driver called at 12:30 after I called the office a few times to let me know they’d be there between 3-4pm. I told them that’s unacceptable and the owner called me. He accused me of cussing out his guys, which I never did. Told me to quit crying over spilt milk, and that his guys would be there when they would be there and that was that. I told him I wouldn’t do business with someone who treats their customers that way and told him I didn’t need their services. Ended up getting a uhaul and moving myself and saving a bunch of money. Def would not recommend, and after talking to numerous people, they wouldn’t either.

Saw one of their employees berating and vulgarly insulting a cashier, while in uniform with a company truck. I will not be giving them my business if this is how they allow their employees to behave on the clock.

D&D has moved my family 3 times, and if there ever is a 4th, they will move us again. D&D does a great job; couldnt recommend them more!

Would not recommend. Not professional at all. They said they would sign us up for a certain date and then said they were booked. Also, their quotes are highly priced! Not impressed at all!

Moved us down from north texas. The guys showed up on time. Packed my furnoture and clothes. By the time we got here . Everything was unloaded and set up . Dont plan on moving but D&D would get my business.
