I enjoyed my visit. Plenty of outdoor, shaded seating. Breakfast options were good. Coffee was good. I would go again if I was in the area.

How I wish I had tried this cafe sooner! Today I stopped by for the first time and ordered a honey-lavendar latte and ham & cheese turnover. Delicious! The latte was smooth and rich with flavor. They even took the time to make a cute dog on my latte. The turnover was savory and yummy with plenty of ham. The staff were very kind and helpful with suggestions. There are plenty of little tables and chairs both inside and out if you just want to relax or study. Ill be back to try more for sure :)

The staff was super friendly. The gentleman who took our order was very informative and patient. The. food was amazing!!! We had a ham and cheese turnover and a ham panini. The atmosphere was calming and there was indoor sitting and outdoor sitting. We will be coming back to this little coffee shop!

Owners are wonderful. Excellent assortment of desserts, including gluten-free options. be sure to go for fresh made macarons on Wednesdays and churros on Thursdays, both gluten-free as well.

Delicious croissant sandwiches and cold brew. They even accommodated a special order. I’d love if they added omelettes to the menu.

Complex, delicious, perfectly brewed black coffee. Although I have not tried specialty drinks, enjoyed the delightful artistic renderings in companions lattes. How do they do that? The signature poblano turnover is flaky and earthy and rich. A serendipitous treat was the aroma of the roasting of poblanos and baking of the turnovers. The friendly owner, Sam, welcomed us and shared the romantic story behind the 1541 name: the founding year of the city in which he and his wife were married.

1541 is a very cute and under-used shop in College Station. They have a wide selection of flavors for their drinks, and so many delicious-looking desserts. They even have gluten-free options for those with Celiac or gluten allergies, though they have not expanded their options for those with special dietary needs beyond that point. The coffee was also adorably decorated, though perhaps the taste coffee itself was not as stellar as the experience... or, at least, not to my personal palate. It seemed very dark and very strong. Either way, Id still recommend this place!

1st time visit here, I went to see if they had a special dessert that I like. It looks like a nice comfortable place to sit for a spell. Might return to have more desert and evaluate more during that time. The dessert are ordered was ok.

Food is good. Most peopke eat outside, they need to make an effort to wipe down those tables or provide something that the customers can do so.

They have the usual coffee options but a wide range of flavors to add into your coffee. I tried they cappuccino with coconut. It was very good. They offer pastries, macaroons and a few other snacks too.

In my personal opinion, the best coffee place in B/CS. Sometimes you need to wait a bit longer for your order but the quality of their cappuccino or turn-overs is worth it. If you are not in rush to work, but prefer a chill-out spot to chat and enjoy your coffee, thats definitely a good pick.

The atmosphere and pastries were amazing! The drip coffee is a standard drip but they have a syphon coffee and it was phenomenally watch and to drink!

Amazing food, awesome pastries and great ambience. The patio seating is superb. I ordered a Pablano (A mushroom pepper mozarella gouda stuffedpattie), A veggie panini(tomato spinach mozzarella) - Both were amazingly fresh. Iced Almond latte was refreshing. For desserts, the cheesecakes were heavenly. Loved the ambience and the service. A good place to spend some quality time with your Bae(Food) 😋

This place is a hidden gem. For as long as I lived here, I cant believe I have never tried this place until recently. If you love coffee and pastries, this is your place. The turn overs are so flaky and full of flavor. The blue berry muffins are just as delicious. I am going to make it my goal to try their macaroons on macaroon Wednesdays. It also gives you a quaint, and comfortable vibe when you visit. Dont pass up this opportunity.

1541 is a great place. It’s one of a kind place in College Station. You will have to go out of your way to get this kind of atmosphere in a coffee shop. Every time I come into town I try to stop by and get a 20oz cafe latte, which is a whopping $4-ish. It’s meant to be read with sarcasm. Other coffee shops would offer this drink in the $5+ range. I also usually get the 12oz chai tea latte for $3. And based on their to go cups, they brew Lavazza coffee. Which is a very good coffee brand and great in flavor. They also offer a variety of other cold and hot drinks and special menus that vary depending on the season. And but wait there’s more. I’ve only talked about drinks. They also have pastries. I have yet to have one but they look delicious and amazing. And based on their motto, “ yes taste just like grandma’s, it’s made from scratch” I take those patties are made fresh everyday. And finally the decor and atmosphere in 1541 is really nice. It is very fitting for a coffee shop. The only recommendation I can give is that the times I have stopped by the clientele seems to lack a younger crowd which makes staying there to enjoy a cup of coffee or the pastry a little more difficult. I am unsure about their WiFi situation but I’m sure they provide connectivity as well. It is definitely a must check out for coffee lover.

I had heard such good things about this place that I was a bit disappointed. The 3 lattes we ordered took more than 25 minutes to make which is basically unacceptable. They were good and there was a design in one of them but they said they did not have time to do the other 2. Will probably try it again as the manager said they were short handed but if it is That slow again, my business will not return

This is my go to coffee shop in BCS. The coffee and espresso beverages are consistently delicious. They have multiple brew options such as pour over, french press and siphon pot. They also add latte art to every drink with foam, which is quite entertaining.The pastries are also a must-try item. In fact, many patrons visit 1541 for the pastries alone.1541 is on my list of places that i always recommend you must visit if you are in town.

The service is incredibly slow!!.. if you go in and order a sandwich it takes them over 20 minutes to heat up a pre-made sandwich and bring it to you.. if you call in an order, they are unorganized and you have to tell them again what it was you ordered, although they have a name..

I visited this place today. Its a cute little place. Their menu is a little scattered looking and hard to read. Some of the things they have are not on the menu at all. That was confusing. I like to see what my options are. They have paninis it said Mon-Fri except for today because they ran out of bread and since apparently the cook is out on vacation they couldnt reorder or walk across the street to get some at Walmart. I dont really understand that kind of stuff. I had the Mexican hot cocoa though. It was alright. I expected a little more spice. The drink orders were slow to come out. I will try this place again and see how it goes but it wont be my first choice and will update to see how the second visit is. The design on my drink earned them an extra star as did the cute little mug style. They also have a cute little bakery display case but no signs to show what anything in the glass case is so you have to kind of assume and guess.

Love everything here! Desserts are so delicious! Highly recommend cheese cake, muffin, chocolate cake and tiramisu!

-This coffee shop has recently been renovated and it feels a lot more welcoming.Probably the best coffee as well as pastries in town. The atmosphere is now well lit so it feels a lot more open. Not many college students come here, so mostly just quiet conversations going on. Its easy to do work here. It doesnt feel like the coolest place youll ever go to. But if you care more about the coffee and pastries than the atmosphere you wont be disappointed.

The coffee is really good, and so is the environment. The staff is very friendly as well. My only problem is the laminated (croissant like) pastries are VERY waxy. I dont know how else to describe it. They leave a waxy film coating your mouth when you eat them. Other than that, its pretty great.

Latte art is next level! And on top of that the coffee tastes amazing. The feel inside is so cozy and great for studying or meetings.

If you like good coffee, STAY FAR AWAY. If your thinking about going to study... please reconsider your options. Their wifi was terrible, at the beginning I was the only one there. After a few people showed up, my wifi completely stopped working. I went today and my cold brew tasted like nasty old water. The employees were nice and that is the only thing that deserves a star. One guy was extremely nice. This elderly man (maybe the owner or the manager) was quite rude.Then a couple hours later the wifi wasnt working again. Also, it smells pretty gross in there.

I love this place! The setting inside is not necessarily the cutest layout (compared to a lot of cool ones in College Station), however everything else is perfect! The customer service is always amazing and my favorite part is they draw little pictures in your coffee. Its always fun to see what you get!! There prices are fair, and definitely worth the price. Every coffee I have had, has tasted great! Very cool and chill place to grab a coffee with a friend or study. Its also nice because its not as crowded as other coffee shops in the College Station area. BEST COFFEE

The employees were very nice but the coffee tasted like water. My hot coffee and my daughters iced coffee both had no flavor. For $13 I would much rather sink to the Starbucks level and that is against everything in my soul!

AMAZING! This place is a wonderful place to meet friends and relax. There could be more furniture, but this coffee shop is fantastic for its products. I get the cafe mocha and it is so smooth I dont realize there is coffee in my cup. Also, if you are NOT a coffee person their Mexican Hot chocolate is a MUST TRY! Finally, their pastries are also out of this world. Who thinks of a pineapple turnover?! And I get that and the Apple turnover every time. SO good!If you are a student, teacher, or family member, you MUST give this place at least one try. I love it and will always visit whenever I come back!

Maybe the 4.5 star rating set my expectations too high, or perhaps I kept ordering things that they arent known for but both times I went I was underwhelmed.They only have breakfast sandwiches on the weekend....when people are not working. So I had a turnover on both occasions. They were fine, very flaky but nothing special. Coffee was good both times as well.However the second time I visited, it took 25 minutes to pull out a turnover and a muffin from the case and bring it to the table. They werent packed with people, just took a long time. I will probably choose another place for breakfast next time I am in the area.

Friend got an iced coffee that tasted like water sprinkled with coffee beans. I got an iced latte and they burnt the living hell out of it, very watery too. Even worse than Starbucks, if you care about coffee stay FAR away.

I just had a salted caramel frappe from this place and it was delightful. The staff was kind and courteous. They asked me in detail how I wanted it. If I wanted extra sweet or if I wanted it salty. They made the drink to perfection.
