Brought my 2021 Nissan Rogue in for an oil change and had a great experience! I purchased the vehicle at a different dealership (in my hometown) and could not make it back there for an oil change (6 hours away) so I decided to go to College Station Nissan. This was my first time bringing a vehicle to a dealership for an oil change so I decided to call the day before and ask some questions. The service member who took my call was very knowledgeable, kind, and made sure to give me all of the information I needed to know ahead of time. He even proactively set up an account for me so that when I showed up for the oil change it would take less time to get me set up. On the day I brought in my car again, all of the service staff members were extremely kind and knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The wait time was standard for an oil change so I have no complaints there. Overall I had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

Josh, Izzy and Castro always call me by name when I bring in one of the families five Nissan vehicles for service. They are always considerate of our needs. So let’s start out with the great internet pricing. But when you drive two hours to get there it’s different, you kinda get mad about it. The list price on the truck I was looking at was 25,555… I’m actually good with that price. I even understand that plus TT&L. What I don’t understand is the Apex dealer protection package that is 2,800$…. I said I don’t want that on there. I was told I didn’t have a choice. I called Texas direct auto immediately and bought a comparable vehicle without the Apex dealer protection package, and I stayed well under 30k. Look out for the “extra fees” and “perks” from this place. I would not buy from this dealership. I was told “hey it’s not your money, just write the check “. Just because it’s not my money doesn’t make it right to try and over charge. If you look at the photos of the vehicle I was going to purchase you can see the “ internet price” plus the disclaimer. No where in the disclaimer do you see anything about an Apex dealer protection package that you are forced to buy.

I brought in my Nissan Sentra, with the hopes of getting a bunch of minor repairs fixed, because I am giving the car to my little sister. One repair was to fix my rear driver side window which had a broken lever that controls the window raising and lowering. Later, I received a call from Nissan stating that the technician did not have the service associates write-up in front of him when looking over the car, and looked at the wrong window. I was then told that the window he looked at was now not functioning, even though it worked fine prior to him looking at it. I was told I would have to pay for the repair of both windows. I declined the repair of both windows and stated I wished to inspect the technician’s damage upon picking up the vehicle. We agreed on a few minor items to be done to the car ($1200 worth of work) which was going to take a few days.I received a call a week later from the service manager stating that the car had experienced a “fender bender” while in the shop and would need repairs. When I got to Nissan, the rear end was completely totaled (see pictures). When asked how it happened, I was told by the general manager Chip Watkins that the car was “in idle”, whatever that means. Neither service manager or general manager were apologetic about the accident beyond a brief “sorry” in the initial phone call. When I reiterated to both of them that my sister needed the car, neither even offered a rental (later that night Israel called to offer one finally)! They said they would have the damage repaired by the local body shop they deal with. When I asked about the window their technician damaged (which neither managers were aware of), they agreed to have it repaired, as if they were doing me a favor! The general manager offered to “buy” the car from me at $1500; I was about to pay them $1200 in minor repairs!The service associate asked if I wanted them to proceed with the body shop repairs and I said no. I then had a follow up conversation with the general manager Chip Watkins where I was rudely berated into trying to sell the car. This was obviously something that would benefit the dealership and not me which is why he was so emphatic about buying it; he did not care what was best for me. I emailed Chip Watkins after the conversation and told him I would be taking the car to a 3rd party shop of my choice for repair. He responded that the car was already being repaired by the other shop even though I never gave my permission!Luckily, the body shop did good work on my vehicle to repair the damage the Nissan dealership caused. Five weeks after the dealership wrecked my car, I went to pick it up. Neither the service manager or the general manager Chip Watkins bothered to come meet me. I paid full price for the minor repairs, including “inspection” costs. I was not offered an apology or any compensation for the loss of value in my vehicle, which is not repairable, or the numerous hours taken off work to deal with this. They did not even offer me a free oil change; in fact, the car was returned to me with the “service engine” light on!Hopefully others will learn from my experience and avoid the College Station Nissan service center. And for those planning to buy a new car, be wary of the service warranties that are a supposed benefit. The general manager Chip Watkins confirms everyone’s perceptions of disreputable dealership salesmen. He is as shady as they come.(Note: Israel was always respectful and honest in our conversations. I feel bad for him being stuck between bad management and poor service shop)

The service technician, Fabian I believe, took my car and wrote his notes down as usual. He called me to update me on my vehicle and listened to my concerns when no problem was initially found. He then recommended a different test that could be done at no cost. He updated me with that test and informed me of a service that needed to be done to the fuel system. The only reason I opted to do it, was because of how helpful he was and how well he listened. He was very good at communicating throughout the process.

Went to test drive a vehicle. They asked if we were looking to trade in, we said possibly and they took my keys. Next thing you know the car we wanted to see magically already sold. Since that is the only vehicle they had that we wanted to see..we were done. When we asked for my keys back, we had to wait because they had taken my car without even asking me. (They came and asked the woman at the desk next to me if they could drive her car so obviously just taking off in someones vehicle is not standard practice). Got in my car and they had messed with everything. The whole time we were there everyone was rude. They could have my dream car and I would not buy from this place.

College Station Nissan did an awesome job dealing with me and getting me financed with some very difficult obsticles that they overcame and got me in my new Maxima (OK it is used with low mileage but new to me) A special Thank you to Jarmaine, Eli and Chris that worked very hard to get me in my new car. I can honestly say that my buying experience was a positive one. I have not had positive experience buying a vehicle since 1999, that is right my last 6 vehicles that I purchased, the buying experience (price), financing, and Customer Service was a nightmare.
