Its nice to know theres a local craft shop I can browse in. Shopping online for art supplies isnt the same as walking around in Michaels... so much to see. Im giving my mom a piece of art for Christmas and Im have Michaels make a custom frame for it at an AMAZING price. Im extremely excited!UPDATE! The frame is OUTSTANDING!!!

This is a really great craft store. Theyve got any excellent selection in every department. I primarily shop in the paint/brushes/canvas area and I always find great sales and random discounts. I highly recommend this store for whatever your craft, especially for the painter! My only negative critique is that the store is often messy and its shelves in need of conditioning. Other than that- A+!

Me and my Wife Love shopping at Michaels!Especially when they have Sales on Art supplies.As far as Retail Art and Craft Stores you will be hard pressed to find lower prices then here, they for sure have better prices then Hobby Lobby, plus Michael’s offers Military Discounts and join the Reward Club for Free you will get other discounts Emailed several times a week usually stuff like 40% OFF etc.

Need to clean up, and more people to hire.

My wife loves this store no visit is less than an hour. They have a good variety of merchandise and are usually well stocked. The store staff are consistently friendly, cheerful and helpful. Parking is convenient and plentiful with adequate handicap access.

Hobby lobby has a larger selection.

I went in for paint and canvases. They have a good selection of both. The prices are reasonable. I didnt look at the other items.

This is a good place to get craft materials and its conveniently located. They did an excellent framing job on my custom framing order. Id probably give them 5 stars except they always have some kind of scented products in the store that trigger my asthma, so I have to hold my breath half the time Im in there or use my inhaler. If scented things bother you, beware!

Awesome place to find the stuff for hand crafts. Employees are great and always ready to help. Also prices are good besides most of the times they give coupons and special offers. Also you get items out of season for cheap. The store looks neat with a wide range of brands so you can get whatever you need with the option to get it online.

Got in and out quickly and thought staff was helpful.

They always have a very good selection of everything that we could need craft wise. If they can just have a few more employees or train their employees to be a bit more helpful that would be great. their online system and in-store systems do not work well together and makes ordering and returning from one to the other a hassle. The store could use a little cleaning and updating but still a good shopping spot.

Good selection, friendly folks. They even let me use their teaching room to have a conversation with my daughter about why we couldnt get the item she wanted. Since she is five, her half was crying and screaming, but they were understanding. Very family friendly, for customers at least.

I love this Michaels location. The atmosphere is nothing but pure enthusiasm and love of crafting and ideas as such. I go at least twice a week and if Im in a indecisive mood the staff always seems to make time to hear my ideas and ultimately make a decision on what project to go with and 96 percent of the time their input usually helps me successfully complete anything that has me baffled.

Michaels is a good place to find multiple craft items. From yarn to painting supplies to childrens craft projects, Michaels has it. They also have items that can easily be used as gifts, such as candles, photo albums, and decorative items. They do not have fabric, yet they do have so many other things, and their workers are always willing to help with a smile.

This chain is a bit pricier than its competitor (HL) on some items, but finding a digital coupon or a recent flyer will allow you to grab some huge savings. I can always depend on this store to have items I need in stock and it is a very clean store. Shelves are well organized, staff remains friendly when giving assistance, and the checkout is usually pretty quick. Clean store and a fun place to shop. Framing center usually does a good job but can get pricey.

It was well organized and neat in there. They had a few items I was looking for, so that was a plus. They had a sale going on, which was great. First time going to that store was pretty cool. I created my on baby shower mum with the items I received from there.

I find that most Michaels has a slow check out, but one of the managers was able to help me with an online order immediately. It could be bc of covid, but the sewing parts section could use restocking.

Its great and always has a vast selection of crafting supplies.Their coupons arent as great as Joanns, but they have much more inventory to choose from.For some reason the staff leave giant movable staircases in the middle of aisles every time Im there which is annoying.Other than that, its a great place to get creative!

This store is well organized and clean. At the time that we visited they had very good deals on game sets and toys, including drones. My only concern is that not all prices were clearly listed and at times it was hard to find anyone to get help.

Worst customer service. I waited outside for nearly 20min and they wouldnt let me in. The super rude manager told us that only one of us could come in. That we had to wait for more time until more people got out. Also i was told to return an item that i bought and they sent wrong and i totally needed. I needed to send it back via mail and after they received it they would send mw a replacement. So i wpuld have to wait nearly 2 weeks for a replacement Avoid thsi place .

Love this place. Its small but they have tons of stuff. The only bad thing I can say about them is that their on item prices are not correct. Bought a vaporizer and it was marked at $40 but at check out it was only $16. If I would have known I would have gotten two!!😁

Went in looking for some unglazed/painted pottery for a gift. An associate we asked for help was completely apathetic. asked again, and sent to the wrong aisle, asked a third time and blew us off and went about their business. At Least with online sales you get low prices.

Nice store but some prices are outrageous.. however, with your coupons i typically get the items to be affordable lol below is a picture of a school project we made with all items purchased at michaels a few weeks ago. Came out perfect. My daughter was to build a movable car out of anything she wants, as long as it can roll down a ramp on its own. It was great!

I am so disappointed in Michaels. The store is crowded and stuffed with very cheap looking merchandise.I also will NEVER take anything to be framed at this store. I had a cross stitch picture on which I had worked very hard framed there. It had to be redone three times before it was acceptable and I still wasnt please, but was just tired of dealing with them. The lady who waited on me was very rude and insisted that I was being overly critical. Seriously?? At the same time, I also took a print Id purchased in Vermont to be framed. They CUT off part of the print and the margin around it was clearly uneven. I insisted that they pay for the print as they had ruined it. Fortunately I was able to order another print and have it framed elsewhere. DO NOT take anything to Michaels to be framed if you want a good job done. Even with their so called 50% off sales, the prices are about equal to local shops who do a much, much more professional job.

This place has all of your craft needs. The location is convenient via University and Highway 6. Definitely check the online coupons before you come as there are deals that arent advertised in the store.

I really like going there. But 2 or 3 isles closed up because of the freight that was out. I said I guess you didnt want us to shop there today. She said no, we just got a shipment in.

The lady doing the kids crafts has been great, my 4 year loved yesterday so much we went back for another one today. I love shopping in here so much shame its not as big and as much stuff as hobby lobby, if it was I would definitely get all my supplies here, staff are always so nice

My husband and I visited the Micheals in College Station today (10/13) we were greeted by Tegen, at the framing counter. She was polite, professional, and an amazing example of customer service. She was just finishing up with one customer when we approached,and had another couple ahead of us. She asked us to go ahead and place our items on the counter. The other customers also seem extremely pleased with her options, and her opinions on their framing needs. When she was completed with theirs she began helping us. She was knowledgeable and had lots of options for our needs. After a few minutes of chatting we made our decision and she stated she would be able to have it completed within a few minutes. We returned after a few more, and pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the results of her expert framing skills! We will be returning to Michaels for all of our framing needs purely because of Tegans customer service, attitude and confidence.

Very dangerous place to go if you have a budget! I love browsing for great ideas for gifts, and crafts. Employees are half and half. Some are very helpful others it so much.

Its a pretty standard art supply store. Navigating to their online coupons is somewhat annoying but no complaints for the store. Its clean and typically well stocked with the supplies I need.

All around the best customer service in the frame department from Sara, Teague, and Jennifer. I had 20 × 30 family picture on canvas. They showed me the options that fit within my budget and worked with me to make it the most fabulous hanging art work in my home.

The restrooms were put of order and I only went there because I was nearby and needed to pee!!!!! Other than that, I found a cute book and really cute pack of earrings!

Takes a bit to check out every time I go. And their Recollections glitter is never fully stocked so theyre always missing a color I want. But overall theyre pretty awesome

Michaels is nice and has some things hobby lobby does not have, but their prices are outrageous, especially in the floral department! Im not a religious shopper here, but I also dont feel like they have as many sales as hobby lobby does. Their selection is a lot smaller too. I will still shop here when Ive exhausted all other outlets, but it will definitely not be my go to craft store.

I always enjoy Michaels! They often have just what youre looking for whether seasonal, arts or decor. They have handicap parking and toliets.
