Neat store to visit. Unfortunately its owned by someone who is more politically motivated then knowing the markets they serve. No firearms and ammo sales anymore. Great for camping supplies. Dont believe we will be regular customers there but they definitely have a lot of unique camping items. Sales team was very kind.

Recently purchased Good Sam at Gander and came down today to use our discount to buy a cot, a new tube for the lake, boots and clothing. Much to our surprise the store looked as if it were closing down. Bare shelves. No clothing, shoes at all and an employee mentioned fishing is leaving also 🤯 and snapped a quick picture of this gem in the parking lot 🤔🤣🤪

Denny and Rich asked what we were looking for and started sending us options. They NAILED it! Joshua made financing a breeze stayed within our limits even with the warranties Justin gave us an amazing virtual tour so we know how it all works. We cannot think of the young man who delivered name was but he was Awesome too! Ours was not an easy delivery twisty turny drive backing it onto our lot just right so patient and kind. We couldnt be happier with this experience!!

To be clear, my experiences overall with this dealership have NOT been great (more on that below). The ONLY reason Im giving a 5-star review is because of one great employee who went above & beyond - Jamie Heath.Issues with the Dealership Overall:* Despite being the one to purchase the trailer, the one who initiated & drove 99% of the sales/service conversations & REPEATEDLY correcting the phone number in every conversation I participated in & form I filled out, the dealership has called my wife 99% of the time because her number was the one used to set the initial sales appointment.* The sales rep that we worked to buy the trailer from (an extended process since we live in a different state) would frequently either not be working, not know the answers to questions, or not have the authority to make certain decisions & rather than do that legwork herself, we would end up having to repeat ourselves to sales managers (plural, because that couldnt be easy either) who would claim to not know all the details.* Despite asking for the finance rate they intended to give us prior to coming in & warning them that I fully intended on ironing that out before committing to a sale, when we arrived at the dealership, the sales & finance managers acted as if the rate was a foregone conclusion and likely would not have even shared what it was going to be had I not pressed them for it and/or read it myself in the paperwork.* Having done my interest rate homework ahead of time (specific to the rv industry & my credit rating), I balked at the finance rate they tried to saddle me with, at which point they claimed that procuring financing was such an ordeal that they likely wouldnt be able to complete the sale until the following week if they had to go find a new rate at a different bank, at which point I had to threaten to walk out & leave unless they figured something out (which they eventually did).* Attempting to schedule service work for upgrades we wanted to make via email was an absolute nightmare despite the fact that we started the process MONTHS in advance of when we wanted those upgrades made. Service personnel RARELY responded to email, generally seemed clueless over the phone, and frankly didnt seem interested in the business when it came to most of the upgrades that we wanted to do.* When we finally got the trailer in for warranty work (and a couple service upgrades that had been agreed upon), they informed us that the parts they had either wouldnt work or werent identical to the originals & they would need to order different ones and keep the trailer longer than had been agreed in order to get the work done.The reasons why Im giving a 5-star review for Jamie Heath specifically:* She knows how to use email (youd think this would be a given for most adults at this point, but given the experience Ive had with other employees at this dealership, thats either not the case, or their IT department has failed them so woefully that they simply dont have working email accounts)* She was phenomenal at providing reasonable response times to email requests (anywhere from a few hours to a couple days)* She (from my understanding) is in charge of scheduling warranty work, but frequently worked to get the necessary service people to either write me back or call me back* Despite my growing frustration with the dealership & what was likely a good deal of frustration on her part trying to get things lined up for me with the service department, she remained calm, polite and professional at all times.* When I asked what the best way would be to communicate to her bosses that I was pleased with her work, she suggested a Google review.Honorable Mentions (once my trailer was actually in for service):* The service director (whos name I forget), and Nick (the service advisor who took delivery of the trailer & returned it to me when the work was done) were both extremely helpful, informative & professional.Response to the owner:I dont want anything, but please learn from these mistakes so future customers dont suffer.

Bought a used travel trailer from them, the trailer was in amazing condition, they gave us a great deal, the thing that amazed me most is they noticed my hitch was rusted out and was not safe to pull it home, they offered to deliver it to my house (two hours away) free of charge, they looked out for my safety which is huge in todays world! Great job guys

Bruce Covey was such a delight to work with. He listened, and he worked hard to put us in what we wanted and where we wanted to be in payments. From the moment we walked in, their receptionist Courtney was friendly, then handed us over to Bruce, then we were also impressed with the sales Manager who came over and introduced himself to us, forming our all around opinion of THIS is the place we want to give our business to!! I have to say that Traci is simply amazing! Not only did she take us out to the lot in the pouring rain, but she made sure our seats were dried between us moving camper to camper but she also made sure there werent any slippery floors in the campers. Had a problem with paperwork after purchasing a pistol, so said the police department I sent it to. Brought said paperwork back to Gander and the fine employees behind the counter not only called the police department but also went beyond that and contacted the State department and took care of everything. We just bought our new travel trailer at Camping World in Coldwater, Michigan. Working with our salesman John Rau was a pleasure. After looking at many different models(some several times) we picked out one and put a deposit on it.Two days later we were back because we had changed our mind and once again he was very patient and showed us many of the units again.He was very knowledgeable and if he didn’t have an answer he found someone who did. Id give it 0 stars if I could, this is not an outdoors store like it used to be, no fishing stuff or hunting stuff here. I know its not gander mountain anymore, buy it used to have all the good stuff here, its basically all RV stuff from here on out.

Brad was very helpful and very truthful up front about a couple of the campers that were interested in looking at their place. He worked with us in regards to finding the right weight for our truck and what we wanted for us and our dogs. Lots of room, and very clean and they will teach us how to use everything on the trailer. We highly recommend for people to go to Ganders Rv and see Brad. I’m sure the other salesman are good as well. Joshua from finance was very helpful as well. Both Brad & Joshua have been in contact with us in regards to getting us approved. We will be referring anyone looking for a camper to this place. Great people & place.

Sales staff was helpful and knowledgeable, we looked at all the trailers we were interested in, and they had all the information for us. They were not pushy and easy to talk to.

Had a very pleasant experience here. From the very beginning John went above what he needed to, to make us happy. They didnt have the trailer model we were looking for in stock so they checked the system and found one in a different state. Process was easy and very fast. Travel trailer was in the condition they promised and so far we love it. Richard the sales manager was very honest with us and we appreciated that. They didnt try to sell us what we didnt want, made sure they got us exactly what we wanted, and did it in a short time frame. They say they treat all their customers like family and we felt that throughout the process.

Eric Andrews, our salesman was outstanding. He was very welcoming when my husband and I arrived at GanderRV. It took us over 3 hours to get there due to construction so we were almost an hour late for our appointment. He was so nice, compassionate and understanding when we arrived. A great place to shop for a camper. No pressure and at your own pace. Sales people are not hounding you, but when you need to ask a question they are there helping you within minutes. A very good time for us shopping for what we wanted. Everyone has a job to do and they work together as a team very well! I recommend checking this dealership out before going any place else.

Spectacular above and beyond service. Returned damaged item bought at ANOTHER store to this store. Six persons including very kind and helpful store manager helped me 1) return the 130 pound item, 2) carefully examine the replacement item to insure it was good, 3) load the new item into my car, and 4) assure me that they would personally take care of things if the item did not work. All this for an item I never bought from them. 100% won me over as a future customer.

I always have fears when going to see a salesman about anything because I’m afraid of spending more than anticipated, but when we went to see Tom Klaiss at Gander, he never once pushed our budget until we asked him to. He did not show us anything that was over our budget until we asked to see it. He got us approved for a great deal and was extremely perceptive to what we wanted in a camper. We will go back to him directly if we ever need another camper!ETA a few days later: My glowing review must be amended as I would no longer recommend buying from here. Two separate times we were told specific information, for that to be a lie. We were told we bought our camper and had a delivery day and time set up, before we even were actually approved for our loan. They called us, the day after we thought we bought the camper and told us they needed 8-10x the down payment than what we put down and already signed papers for. Once that was settled and dealt with, (which was handled fine but shouldn’t have happened) we return on the day we were told to, to complete the “orientation” and finish all the paperwork and get the delivery done. Then they go back on their word for the delivery day and give us “maybe tomorrow, maybe the day after. We’ll see.” Because, as it turns out, they never actually scheduled our delivery. I try to not make mountains out of molehills but this is reaching the point of ridiculous. We were lied to, twice by this place. So, I would say, buy from here at your own risk. So now, after packing up, emptying, and cleaning our entire current camper, we will have to put everything back in it and set everything back up on our campsite that we tore down to make room for the new camper, so we can use it for our vacation, which we were told we would have our new camper for.There is no excuse to promise a day a time for a delivery of something like a new camper and never actually schedule it.

Great experience. We were treated like VIPs. We had made an appointment ( due to Covid restrictions) to see a few trailers. When we arrived, there was a table with our names, water bottles, a few free things. From that moment on we were treated like royalty. Our sales man, Bruce showed us anything we wanted to see ( it was only 41°) we didnt feel rushed as we looked each trailer over. Then when we made or decision Richard stepped in to help with the financial arrangements. He did did everything he could to help us get into our first trailer( pop ups dont count) ....I cant wait to go back for our 3 hour walk through before bringing it home.Our three hour walk through was exactly that...we arrived to find our Trailer inside, warm and did a walk through where we could ask questions and Josh gave us all the time we needed to examine and evaluate everything in our trailer. We have tented and pop up camped so alot of this is new to us. We feel confident we can go on our first camping trip and not make many mistakes as most newbies. Our tour was timed perfectly and we moved from one helper to the other. I liked the shopping part the best, we had an escort that told us what we really needed to have a successful trip and things that can wait. Then he left us to do some damage in the store. We always felt like we were the most important people there. One on one all the way. On a scale of 10 being the best, Id like to give Coldwater, Gander RV a 15!

The 1 thing I would tell individuals picking up their camper...take the time to look at everything... screws, caulk/silicone, wall board, ceilings. If not correct by manufacturer point it out. Traci did an excellent job. We went to Gander to purchase a new RV size sofa sleeper for our camper but due to the pandemic they are back ordered for months. We decided to look over the many model RVs that were on the floor on display and we ran into Traci. We told her that we were only thinking about upgrading because of the space issues we had with our existing RV. Traci asked us several questions and then made us aware of the aggressive trade-in purchasing that was available right now. We decided to take longer looking and she toured us through several models and compared features. In the end she made it easy for us to make a serious consideration on upgrading and in the end we moved forward thanks to her prompt service.

Grander RV at Coldwater was a fantastic experience with the help from Brad Fields, RV Product Specialist.We traveled 3 hrs to Coldwater, Mi. We were amazed at the number of RV’s on the property for sale. We bought a used motorhome, the staff was very professional. They have a cleaning team that went through our RV and made it shine like brand new, the unit is 19 years old. The service area has at least 10 bays and they were full, with each bay, they had someone (or a team) making sure that each unit was ready for the new owners or repairing things that had broken after they had been sold.On our way home with our new (to us) unit we noticed that our spare tire cover was missing, I called Brad, and he immediately sent us a new cover that we received the next day.Everyone has a job and they all were busy, but not to busy to stop and answer any questions we had. I would recommend this business to anyone that has an RV or looking to buy a RV. Everyone is happy, and very knowledgeable and willing to help. This store Does Not Price Gouge! Ammo is offered at appropriate prices and so are firearms. Any store, online or brick & mortar, that price gouges loses me as a customer forever. Gander has earned my business and I will make an effort to shop here when I can. I just wish they would come back to Kalamazoo. Sportsmans Warehouse Kalamazoo is great too; but competition is good for everyone.

So many items to shop for and we hit it on a day they had a 60% off warehouse sale. 60% off all fishing items, clothing & shoes. Well worth the almost 2 hour drive for us to get there.

The entire staff at Gander Rv was excellent. John Rau was very helpful and friendly and made it easy to look at campers even while handling our children. He helped us find the one we wanted and was helpful throughout the process.

Truly the worst purchase we have made in 35 years of marriage. There are so many major things wrong, I won’t list them all. We have spoken to forest river, gander, gander owner, camping world and no one CARES to help. We’ve had the camper two months and it has been in 3 times with one item fixed. They have it 3 weeks before they pull it in and then need to “order parts”. At all cost, AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Sales is good, but that’s all you need to keep going. I see good reviews on sales, but once you’re out the door you are screwed!

Easiest, fastest sale of a vehicle I have ever had. I liked the fact that they promise all mechanical items work which gives me peace of mind on an older RV. I also like all the perks and benefits offered by being a member of Camper World, the Good Sam Club and Gander RV.

Had a few questions for the service dept. they were great help. Really enjoy going to that store. From the receptionists to the retail workers everyone is so friendly. I will be back.

We came an hour and forty-five minutes from home to look at camping trailers. Tom was an awesome saleman, he was very patient with us. We looked around outside before even coming in to talk to anyone. We narrowed down to two different travel trailers. Tom really was an joy to work with in many ways. He made us feel like family. He even included our daughters when making decisions. My favorite part is once we put money down Tom allowed my wife to add our name to the sign saying sold, then he allowed both of my girls the chance to make designs on it too. Tom also took us back to the travel trailer we bought and helped the girls in adding their pretty sign to the window of the travel trailer. They bought my RV today, great experience all the way around. i was contacted via email and once I verifying it was legit and not spam, I worked with Matt who got me a fair price and setup an appointment to drop off (sell) my RV. Once I got to the dealer in Coldwater, I was greeted very professionally by the lady at the front desk and was turned over to Ron. Ron did a great job, made it easy and was genuine with his customer service delivery. Can say enough on what a positive experience I had over the past few day. The salesman was great. Not the most knowledgeable about the cost of add ins, but did a nice job. Problem comes with service department and communication after purchasing. We had slide toppers added. It has been 5 weeks and still not done. I call and get an update every week. They told me it would be done last week, now they are saying this week. Every week I call and ask for the guy we signed papers with and they tell me he is. It in today. I finally got a hold of Richard and he apologizes and says he is going to send me his cell number so I can get a hold of him when needed. Big surprise...never got that text with number. Very dissatisfied.

Awesome experience with salesman John Rau at Gander RV, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We were happy with the process and all the paperwork with Stephanie and the hospitality during our purchase. Summer took us on an Q&A tour of our Mallard Trailer and left nothing unanswered. They even installed the slide topper while we waited. The only hiccup was we wish we had better communication on what our monthly payment was going to be before the day we picked it up. Went to gander outdoors with my two impatient kids and a picky wife. The salesman was very patient and very helpful in picking out our first camper. The rest of the team was great also!

Clean store mostly friendly staff although they do have a tendency to talk down to customers until they realize not everyone is a first timer. The price matching policy is a bit of a joke. I came in to buy various products which added up to over $450 and thought I would buy a revolver also and showed the staff it was on sale down the street at Dunhams Sports and after 20 minutes of waiting they said they wouldnt match the price (it was $20 cheaper) so I left and went to their competition. So in the end Gander lost a $500 sale and my loyalty.

Traci was very helpful in the process of getting our fifth wheel camper. She responded to any emails and texts within minutes making it a very easy experience overall.

Gander Outdoors in Coldwater is wonderful place to shop for a RV. Our sales man was Matt a very very nice man . We walked in and told him what we was looking for in a used rv and showed us exactly the floor model that we wanted . I have never gotten better service like this anywhere else. Very friendly and really reasonable prices..

We actually went into Gander RV & Outdoors to purchase ice fishing lures, when we noticed the beautiful showroom of campers. We were thinking about trading in our tent camper for a bigger camper so we decided to go walk around. We had a question and found John Rau and he was extremely helpful with all our questions and showed us what we were looking for, not expecting to purchase a new camper until fall he was so great and so knowledgeable about the camper we were looking at we decided to go ahead and make the deal now. I highly recommend John to anyone who is looking to purchase a camper he is so wonderful and we are extremely happy and excited to try out our new camper.
