My recent experience with AGL Auto was very positive. My 1st conversation with Ken about the car I was interested in was very pleasant. There was no push or rush to get me to do anything. Several days later Ken and I came to agreement on the purchase of the vehicle. Minor hiccups along the way out of the control of either party but In the end Ken went above and beyond to keep the process running smoothly. The communication from Start to finish was on POINT. When all was said and done Ken had the car at my doorstep when he promised in the condition promised.

Agl is a family business that treated us very kind. They made it possible for us to own a high quality vehicle at a very reasonable price. Excellent inventory a and straight deal. Gianni was quite a young sales rep and knew his tech info well. Anthony was a fun young man. It was as good of an experience as one could expect in these times where buying a car is so difficult. .

Finally an auto place with decency! A family run business thats honest, kind and thorough. We were shopping for our daughters first car and they made the whole experience an awesome one. You leave there feeling well taken care of. The young son was super knowledgeable of the vehicle we purchased and answered all of our questions enthusiastically. We had been to larger dealers, some that were pushy and rude & some that werent keeping up with what was happening with their inventory systems (so the car on the lot wasnt available or was already sold). Plus it was all business and nothing personable with no impressive prices to deals to offer because, there is a nationwide shortage of vehicles.At AGL, for a small dealership, they exceeded our expectations in everything the BIG dealers werent providing! After 2 weeks of non-stop looking and failure with several of the BIG dealers AGL had everything done with delivery in just a couple of days!In fact, Kens 14yo son Gianni was every bit just as good, if not better, than any of the other BIG sales people we dealt with when explaining the features of my new 2017 Volvo (a lot of features on that car). Anthony, Kens 12yo, was polite/helpful with his mother, Yelena, processing the paperwork with Ken overseeing all the activity.The prices were fair for the value of the vehicles, they take pride in their work, and they are genuine/kind people. We would HIGHLY recommend anyone to visit or discuss what they are looking for with them!

Awesome family ran dealership. Great people! Ken, Yelena, and their son Gianni made it a smooth, comfortable, and you can’t say this too often about many dealerships but my experience was also enjoyable! Their youngest son was cool as well and had good manners. I’m sure he will be a great salesman just like his older brother! I traded in my vehicle and got another as I do quite often actually(LOL) and I have to say this was definitely one of the better, if not the best times I’ve left a car dealer’s lot. Ken gave me a good deal on a used Tacoma, working with me to reduce the price even though it was a very reasonable one to begin with. He even threw in some running boards free of charge. Total disrespect. I came in 20 minutes before it closed yesterday. Chris answered a few questions for me about a diesel truck I was interested in purchasing. I currently have a Subaru forester sport which is my everyday car for work. Chris said I would get a call today about setting up a test drive. Since I didnt hear from the company I gave them a call and the owner of the company answered and didnt treat me like a customer at all. Once he knew who I was he assumed that I was looking to trade in my Subaru and simply said sorry we are not interested in your car; theres nothing we can do, have a nice day. I then stated that I was still interested in the truck, he had no interest in showing me the truck though. What he doesnt know is that I was willing to make a cash offer for the truck. Was it the fact that I came in an old Subaru? Trying to figure out why this company was turning down business. I make more than enough to afford the truck and I will not be supporting this business.

Just bought my first Diesel Pickup Truck from Ken, and I’m in love with it. The one thing that I liked the most about Ken is he was a No pressure/No BS salesman, he answered my questions and let me make my own decisions, I stopped in on a Monday and had my Truck 2 days later. If I could leave NO STARS I would. Agreed to purchase in a Dealer to Dealer (Wholesale) transaction, a 2013 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn. As is quite common in wholesale transactions dealers give accurate descriptions over the phone as a dealer courtesy. After I asked several times if this truck had any frame alterations or structural damage he assured me that it did not. My drivers arrive and pick the vehicle up on a Thursday where they dropped it off to my certified garage for Pennsylvania inspection. The manager at the garage called me and asked me to come look at this vehicle concerning the frame. I couldnt believe my eyes when I actually looked at the cobbled mess under that truck which was a $70,000 truck new. I will repeat that I asked Mr. Brown several times about the frame of this truck, to which he responded youll love it, NO FRAME ISSUES! This truck had been retrofitted to a Fair Type Pulling Truck with frame alterations and most importantly with a HOLE in the Right side Frame Rail from someone overheating the frame. Needless to say my PA Inspection Garage failed it for PA Inspection. I returned the truck back the Next Day. Mr. Brown was ticked at me because he was getting the truck back. In My 20+ Years in the Car Business Mr. Brown holds the record for the most underhanded dealer Ive ever encountered!!! Be very careful of this guy!!!

Picked up a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Clean truck, but when I took it my mechanic the front brakes were shot and the emergency brake was disintegrated. Ken refused to make any adjustment. His solution was for me drive 4 hours back to him so he could look at it.Before you sign the papers find a local mechanic to go over your purchase. My mistake cost me $500.

Disrespectful & rude. Called 4 x before visiting dealership with no answer & no return calls. Arrived 2 hours before closing & being there & looking at truck for over a half hour, guy decides he has an emergency & has to leave. Emergency I understand, but if he would of taken care of us in the 1st half hour, we may have purchased the truck from him. Just wanted to hear truck run.He he was still there at least 20 minutes after emergency.Drove 2 hours to see the truck!

This guys a clown. I stopped in yesterday with $21000.00 cash looking at 2 trucks. One for me and one for my son. I was the only one on the lot. He walked by me twice ignoring i was there, then when i walked to the office to offer him $16000 cash, as i went to walk through the door he stuck a be back soon sign in the door... pretty much like putting his hand in my face. Well your loss moron.. went 2 miles away bought 2 chevy 2500 extended cabs. One a 2001 and the other a 2004. Anyone thinking of going to this place????? Go elsewhere. Try Anthony motors. Run!!! dont walk from this highly dishonest person! he buys wrecked vehicles and spruces them up for resale. My fiance and myself went to AGL auto to look at a truck we had seen advertised. Ken was very rude on the phone before we even met him refusing to negotiate on the price. We test drove the truck and found 3 issues wrong with it. Ken said if we wanted the truck he would fix everything. A week later he called and said the truck was ready if we wanted it. We drove 3 hours. Ken rushed us in to fill out paperwork. After i handed him the $10,000 check, I asked him if he had found a spare tire for it. He acted suprised and said he had forgotten and for me to go to a junkyard and he would pay for it! I got in the truck and noticed the AC was still blowing out hot air! He again acted suprised and said his mechanic told him he had fixed it. Again he told me to take it to a repair shop and call him for payment. When I left, The truck was still pulling hard to the right and the check engine light came on! Again he told me to take it to a repair shop! The following day, I found out the truck had been wrecked and Ken claimed it never had been. Long story short, its been in the shop 4 times. $2500.00 in repair bills later, Ken has refused to help except for paying a small portion of the bill and it was like pulling teeth to get that! Ken has refused to refund my money and we are now saddled with a heavy debt from this whole experience. The head gasket has blown and the truck now sits off the road. Ken wrote a comment in response to this post saying its easy to bash someone online. Yes it is, when the person doesnt show up to the arbitration hearing that was set to resolve this situation! Ken refused to show! How lame! Also, Ken called the police on me for writing this review. A truthful account of my experience! Nothing more. Ive said nothing untruthful. Here or any other place online! I believe thats my right. No? Interestingly, 3 days after I wrote this review, 5 people wrote good reviews about agl auto. Obviously friends of his doing damage control! Thank God my father lets me use his truck. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a car or truck to steer far and clear from Ken Brown of AGL Auto in Cohoes, NY. Google allows only so many words to describe my experience in this post. I wrote a more detailed review on ripoffreport about my experience with AGL auto and nothing good! After he got our $ his whole attitude changed. He made comments like You bought a truck and not a Mercedes! Prior to that he complained the whole time about his life. His divorce, how his wife cheated on him, and even bragged about his 400,000 house! Im now struggling to make my mortgage payment because Im paying for a truck that I cant even drive! Thanks Ken! When I asked him why he refused to give it to me, he said, and I quote, Being that I went above and beyond to help your financial situation (referring to financing through Cooley due to a loan condition) then all you needed to do was ask im a very reputable business man you bash me on google sorry I had had a change of heart. Sorry, but the last time I checked, if you sell someone a car with a bad battery that poses a risk to those in the car, your probably going to get a bad review. Hey, would you look at that, now you have a worse review than the first review I posted. Oh and tip to Ken if your reading this: Work on your communication man. Half the texts i recieved took several minutes to decipher. Stay away from this guy.EDIT: Ken came through with a new battery and the valve cover gasket, after I finished the work the car is running great with no issues, no smells and no oil leak. Only paid for sparkplugs from advance auto parts.Bought a gti a few days ago. Clean car. drove less than 75 miles and the check engine light came on. P0303 cyl 3 misfire. Took it to my mechanic who noticed a massive oil leak from the valve cover, and also that all the spark plugs were completely coroded. Clearly no preventative maintenance had been done, nor was any of this noted before I purchased the car. I was told ken would be putting in a new battery, which he did, however the first night I parked the car, I noticed a sulphuric smell coming from under the hood. Sure enough, the battery was smoking and spewing liquid everywhere. Ken only offered to pay for the valve cover gasket ($25 his price) but no labor.A new battery, spark plugs, and valve cover later, the car seems to be running OK. Overall happy I got the car, annoyed that I had to spend so much just to get it running up to par. Oh yeah, the tires are completely dry-rotted. Not sure how it passed inspection. Not to mention how much time I spent waiting just to talk to Ken.
