In all candor, my passed experience with Fremont has been mixed, but Jason and the Ford-Technician, I can’t recall his name, performed very well in replacing the cam-phasers on my 2019 Ford Raptor. The repair was driven by a wide-ranging, two-part “Field Service Action” impacting 3.5L EcoBoost motors.As luck would have it, the first set of OEM replacement parts were defective requiring the repair to be performed twice. While this took a good bit of time, communication from Jason was timing and complete and the end result seems great.Many thanks.

I purchased a used F150 online from 1200 miles away. I was moving back to the area, and Fremont had always been where the family bought vehicles. In fact I had purchased a car there myself nearly 25 years earlier. I trusted this dealership. I understand that when you buy a used vehicle you are taking a chance, and Im realistic about that. I took delivery of the truck, and I didnt drive it much for the next several days. When it was time to pick up my camper in Billings I hopped in the truck and headed up there. Around 75 miles in to my trip the truck misfired a few times, but seemed to correct itself. Once the camper was hooked up and started heading back to Cody, the truck began misfiring severely. I almost didnt make it back to Cody. I then received an email from the sales person who had been very helpful with my purchase, checking to make sure that everything was going well. They stated that if there was Anything that needed attention, to let them know and they would make it right. I emailed my salesperson back letting them know that it wasnt going so well, and that the truck was misfiring severely and that I almost didnt make it home. The attitude of We will make it right, suddenly wasnt there, and the next email was one explaining that according to the sales manager there was no warranty on the truck. That was disappointing. I never asked for anything for free, I didnt ask for it to be fixed for free, nor did I even ask for it to be fixed. I simply stated that it wasnt going well, and the truck had a misfire. I did respond to the email explaining that there was a 30 day warranty on the truck, but thats all I said. I bought this vehicle site unseen, and paid 18k for it in cash. Maybe thats not a lot of money to some, but its a lot to me, and the truck was a very important part of my new life plan. I trusted this dealership. There were many different ways to handle me, but right up front they wanted to let me know that they werent paying. Its tough out there for all of us, and I understand bottom line profit, but there really wasnt any reason to make me feel like I was going to automatically complain and want something for free. All the truck needed was a tune up. I changed the plugs myself, and about 30 minutes later, it was running great. I will throw this out there, that according to the comprehensive check that is supposedly done on all used vehicles, mine was perfect. Let me tell you that it is far from perfect. The next thing that I will be doing is a break job, because the rotters are warped. Very sad, and just plain old disappointing.
Coming home from Billings and a check engine light service DEF system, see dealer, notification came on. Not what you want to see late in the day with a corral full of ewes lambing. Called Shannon at Fremont and she told us to head in ASAP. We were there in an hour, they got the truck right in and fixed the problem. Then they even washed it, washed the bed and cleaned out the dust from the fueling area. Best wash job that truck has had since we bought it there. Thanks guys for being there when we really needed it!
Well Sunday I cleaned up my 2008 Toyota Camry to trade for a Toyo RAV 4 suv. Id reviewed the Forester it seemed theyve had ongoing transmission problems so I called the Toyo dealer in Billings MT for a RAV 4 test drive. In the mean time Sunday nite I was reviewing all SUVs and found the Ford Bronco Sport and really liked the looks and the Badlands model with the eco boost 2 ltr. engine. I watched a video of a RAV4 TRD vs a Bronco Badlands. The Bronco won in every comparison except the steering wheel feel!? So I starting searching Ford dealers for a Badlands on line not much luck. In the mean time we had about 4 of snow over nite. So I decided to shop closer to home I went to Fremont Ford in Cody, WY and Casandra found me a Bronco Sport Badlands in Sheridan, Wy. She got it shipped over the mountain to Cody and I picked it up on Tues P.M. I didnt have a choice on the color unless I wanted to wait several months to get a FBB in my color of choice. Its not a bad color its dark blue and my first choice would be a lighter blue. Anyway it looks black at a distance and where I live ion Wyoming there are lots of grave roads and dark colors show dirt sooner than lighter colors. Love the Bronco and Ive had people look at it and have questions about it. The back deck has a really nice cover/shelf. It hold up to I think 35# and has legs to help, it also folds up and slides out of the way on its own track.

I actually enjoyed my experience at the Freemont dealership in Cody! Ive bought many cars--many, many cars, my husband just threw in--and this had to be the lowest pressure experience Ive had. We did our research and, frankly, we expected just a test drive from our local dealer and then a 500-mile trek to a low cost dealership who could, reportedly, give us a much better deal. As it turns out, I got a great deal on my trade-in (better than the other guys) and a better deal on my new Ram pickup truck, which is a thing of beauty!Everyone, from the salesman to the finance manager, was so nice. And the finance manager did not twist my arm to buy a whole bunch of service plans, paint protection, windshield repair plans that I would never use and did not want.I would definitely recommend Freemont Motors in Cody, Wyoming to friends, family, and you!
The 2020 F350 Powerstroke truck is amazing. I traded in a 2015 F350 and the 2020 runs circles around it. I love the new 10 speed transmission, it is great for towing my 5th wheel. If you drive a new 2020 Super Duty you will buy one.

While changing my oil tried to convince me that I needed $850 in repairs to my oil pan which includes 5 1/2 hours of shop time. They couldn’t tell me where the leak was coming from. Only saw oil on the oil pan and said I needed to replace the oil pan.Second opinion at another shop. Revealed that the seal on the oil pan needed to be replaced after they cleaned the oil pan and determined the source of the leak. Price is the part was under $10 and two hours shop timeWon’t be doing business at Fremont again. Didn’t explain the problem. Only offered the most expensive solution.Crooks in the service department!!!

Found ourselves Stranded 1300 miles from home in Yellowstone due to a defective DEF Pump module on our RAM 2500 and we contacted Fremont Motors. They are very quick in getting us is and diagnosing the issue. They we very helpful and offered a loaner even though the DEF system was out of warranty. The dealership we bought our truck from would not do that! They made a very timely repair on the vehicle and got us going again. Thanks to Brandon and Shannon for their excellent customer service and thanks to their tech who made sure we were good to go.

Was in the market to purchase a new truck from long distance. Contacted them on one of their trucks that I was interested in and took a couple of days until we were in the process of getting the pre approval and figuring how the shipping costs were going to be negotiated since there are alot of things that need to be figured out. Then they sold the vehicle from under me informing me of the truck being sold a day prior. I just thought it would be more of a professional experience. I guess business is business so dont get your Hopes up.

Our truck broke down and had to be towed to Cody Fords dealership. Was very happy reading the reviews. We were told yesterday that it would be done by close of work today.At 4 pm we called since we had not heard anything. The person on the phone told us they were having problems with parts and it wouldnt be ready until Monday. Yesterday they said they had all the parts.They have provided us with a loaner but only after we were told the man who was suppose to get us a car wasnt there today. When my husband objected to that excuse, a very nice lady did get us a loaner. When my husband got there to get the loaner he asked why his truck was still on the lot and was told that they hadnt even got to our truck today. What? Really? So what was the problem with parts?Very disappointed in the run around. Also that stories are different depending on who you talk to.
Fremont was incredibly accomodating during our cross continent trip from Alaska to Virginia. They squeezed us in for a service, enabling us to get back out on the road safely and efficiently!

226 for an oil change. First oil change and learned ecodiesel oil changes are expensive. Something didn’t sound right so I called Other dealers after their manager swore until they were blue in the face their price was excellent. 2 dealers called after and they are much cheaper. Good thing the part numbers for the oil and filter were on Amazon. Next time I’ll do my own oil change using the exact same oil and filter for 46. Nice try Fremont. I’m Feeling a bit robbed.
Large selection of trucks. Clean facilities. Texted with employee prior to going there, due to my son-in-laws urgent need for a truck. That employee said no sales people were available until the next day. Went to dealership anyway on the day of texting. Employee came to lot immediately and son-in-law purchased truck.
Tried to schedule service in their Service Department.. STILL WAITING on the promised call back that NEVER came! These guys will not answer the phone. Wont by my next car there either.

In West Yellowstone MT when the change fuel filters NOW warning came on my Ford diesel. Heading east anyway, so called Fremont Motor and service lady said they would get me in. Told them Id arrive sometime in the afternoon. On a Friday.Drove through Yellowstone Park and arrived in Cody about 3PM. I was worried about having to remove the large truck camper I haul on my truck, but service lady said not a problem, leave it on the truck.At 4:15PM we were back on the road, fuel filters changed. Id consider this excellent service since no appointment made and most know it takes days sometimes to get a vehicle in for service.Id HIGHLY recommend Fremont Motors.
Recall of cruise control was scheduled quickly. Free carwash, and bumper to bumper check per warranty. Very satisfied with that service.My new Jeep has a sound of something rolling around under the seat. I asked to have someone drive the vehicle and check it out, by accelerating and stopping-sometimes rather suddenly. When picking up the car they said they found some small rocks between the skid-plate and vehicle; a common problem. As soon as I accelerated to pull out of parking lot, I could hear the sound of an object rolling around again. Not sure if someone really checked out the sound I was referring to.
Very professional, worked us in for a oil change and tire check in our motorhome same day as called. Efficient, was in and out within 1 hour, accommodating for wife and our pet cat. Price was unbelievable cheep.

I was passing through the area on July 23rd (Sunday) on my way back to Texas, when I developed a fuel problem with the 6.4 diesel in my 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty. I was able to get in to Cody that night, and then showed up at Fremont Motors first thing in the morning. I didnt have an appointment, and they were busy. I explained my situation, and asked them if they could squeeze my truck in and change the fuel filters. Within a half hour, they had it in the shop, and within an hour after that, they had me back on the road. They even invited my dog inside (Labrador) to wait, and gave him a treat when we left.Its a bad feeling to have mechanical problems 1,200 miles from home. Im thankful for both Fremont Motors quality of service, and their hospitality.

Sales staff is incredible, financing staff is fantastic, but the service department is lacking. I’ve purchased two vehicles here within the last year and few months and never had a problem getting a loaner vehicle every time I needed a recall or warranty work done. I’ve always let the service staff know to just get ahold of me when a vehicle is available and I’ll gladly get my vehicle to them ASAP. I live 60 miles from where I work and their shuttle isn’t able to bring me home like most locals so a loaner is all I have to go on. I recently tried scheduling my pickup to get multiple recalls addressed and upon calling I was bascially refused the potential option of having a loaner even looking weeks out. I’m hesitant on even doing work with this service department anymore because of this. The service writer basically did everything possible to avoid taking note that I’d need a vehicle to get home. They offered a shuttle ride to work but I’m not off before they close so I’d have no way to get back to the dealership to even get MY vehicle. Completely irritated with the treatment I’ve received.

We left Washington state on July 15th and traveled to Indiana. On our way home my 2017 dodge diesel duely needed an oil change. First, I searched for a Lithia dodge dealer in Wyoming and found none in our direction. I called Fremont Motor in Cody twice and got no answer in the service dept. So I called a third time and left a message that I wanted to schedule 2 oil changes. (Brother in-law and our own pickups) after waiting for a call back, over an hour, I called again and told the receptionist no one has returned my call. She said she would run the msg over to service dept. Finally! Someone calls me back and I scheduled the 2 oil changes for 2:00. We got into Cody about 12:30 checked in at our camp sites and take the pickups over to Fremont by 1:15. We left our contact # and left to have lunch. At 4:00 I called and ask the receptionist if our pickups were ready...a gentleman got on the line and he needed to check. So...the lesson Fremont Motor needs to take from my review is: service dept needs training on phone etiquette and GOOD customer service.
