We have been using Tom Stevens Optical for years. As we age,of course, our needs change. He, and his staff, are always up the challenge, no matter how complex. If there are any questions, Tom checks with your Dr. PLUS, the premises are clean, modern, and inviting. There is a large selection of glasses from high end designer to equally attractive low price frames.. His prices are VERY competitive. My husband and I highly recommend this place. Go there. You will NOT be sorry.

After going to 4 optical places for glasses I was recommended here to see Craig. From the outside it looks small. When you walk in there are thousands of frames. Craig knew based on his vast experience what type of frame I needed. He did an excellent job and I love them. I had to have the lens remade due to the prescription error by the dr I went to outside of this office. They were wonderful, so knowledgeable about products, customer focused and spent all the time I needed to be a very satisfied customer. Loving my new progressive lens and Lily Pulitzer frames. So about 15 years ago I went to Tom Stevens Optical because I needed an eye appointment. I ended up buying a nice pair of glasses with nice lenses. The price was fair and I found something I really liked. The owner, Craig helped me and I liked him for his personality, knowledge about glasses and his help.Not even a month after buying the glasses I was sideswiped by a car that was traveling around thirty miles per hour. I was taken to Delray Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The force of being hit so hard made it so the glasses were lost completely. I ended up staying in ICU for a week.From the hospital I called and spoke to Craig and he reordered the glasses and lenses and handed them to me without collecting a penny from me. He then told me, “Don’t worry about paying me right now. Just pay me when you can. WOW, who does that? No one! But Craig did.I am telling everyone we go reads this review. If you need glasses and you buy them from anyone else you are wasting money. Craig is always fair on his prices and he gets the nicest frames on the market.I am writing this review while I sit in Craigs office getting my new Oakleys with Crizal lenses. I will never buy glasses from anyone else unless he retires! CRAIG IS THE BEST!!!

When everywhere else turned me away because of my high prescription, they went above and beyond helping me out. They were very knowledgeable about the frames I should look for to best fit not only my face but what would also work best with my prescription. They explained every last detail about the different lenses. They even kept me updated on the progress of my glasses. Everyone here is amazing. In the end I purchased two complete pair of glasses. When I picked them up I was so happy with how they came out i then purchased prescription sunglasses.

Ive been going to Tom Stevens Optical for roughly 10 years. Ive never had eye insurance, so as a 19 year old at the time i couldnt afford much. Dr. Marder is the nicest eye doctor to walk this Earth. He makes sure EVERYTHING you touch is sanitized, youre comfortable and that you understand everything. Craig greets you at the door with the warmest hello! We picked out an inexpensive pair of glasses that actually lasted me 6 years longer than expected.. These guys are so speedy on contact lens deliveries, its always a genuine pleasure coming in. Now as an almost 30 year old, Craig still helps me with the newest contacts for my dry eyes.. Dr. Marder still makes me see clearer than Ive ever seen. The other emplolyees are just as helpful, but these two will have an impact on my life forever. FOREVER A CUSTOMER.

Two places I never trust, car dealerships and optical shops. If you find a car dealership you trust, you stick with it for life. For the first time in my life, an optical shop earned my trust. Dude to convid 19 I could not afford much. My two year old son broke my glasses and I desperately needed a new pair. I let the folks at Tom Stevens know my situation and to my surprise I was still treated like a king. He showed me what was in my budget and helped me save money. I asked around through my Facebook contacts for recommendations for an optician in the area. Several people recommended Tom Stevens. From my first visit, the staff and the doctor all made me feel like family. They fitted me for contact lenses, put me in trial lenses to make sure I was happy, ordered my supply of lenses after guiding me to the brand and type that were best for my eyes. I couldnt be happier. That was over a year ago. I have since referred several friends & family members and even brought in my teenage son to be fitted for contacts. They had the patience of saints teaching my son how to put in, remove, clean & care for his lenses. Students in particular will find a huge variety to chooses from. Craig does many types of repairs and doesnt try to needlessly up-sell. The store honors all medical insurance prescription plans. The on-site opthamologist (Dr. Marder) dispenses accurate prescriptions for corrective lenses. We have been very happy with the level of customer serviced received and Craigs respectful and cheerful service. You will find the best selection and prices here, so no need waste time and money looking in the mall.

28 years, dozens of glasses, and regular eye exams – wouldn’t go anywhere else.First walked into Tom Stevens Optical 28 years ago because they were convenient to the Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach/Coconut Creek area where I was living. It was only a convenience-thing until Craig Lichtner purchased the store 20+ years ago. It has been a customer-service-thing ever since. They have the selection and prices you might find elsewhere, but also the customer service you can’t. I’m active and can be rough on my eyewear. Warranties – I don’t even keep track because they do. I put their motto “We Repair the Impossible” to the test regularly – they prove it over and over again. Family and friends have also become regular customers.At this point, I travel and haven’t lived in the area for over 8 years. I’ve been so happy with everything at Tom Stevens that I go out of my way to continue getting all of my prescription lenses, sunglasses, and eye exams there.

** They Wasted Our Time, Dont Waster Yours!! **My wife needed her DL renewed, and she had to get her eyes examined by a doctor. So, we did. We went to Tom Stevens Optical. When she received her new glasses, we did not receive the (Green) form as required by the state. Finally, we received the form a few days afterwards and we make an appointment for her DL on October 4th. We went to the DL Office three (3) times and they would not accept the form because of the following (A) it was not filler out properly, (B) Item 7 was chosen Yes and No, with No scratched out, and (C) a question arose if her Rx was for 25 or 2-. When we brought this to the attention of Craig and his wife, he told us, It is not his fault, it is the fault of the doctor. There is nothing we can do, you can come back tomorrow. Well, we were told to come in tomorrow (October 5th), the doctor comes in at 2pm, BUT....he has other patients to see. I see how it is! After paying $2 grand for glasses we got pushed aside, for new paying customers, and they still refuse to apologize. Do yourself a favor, save time, and avoid frustration, go somewhere else.

They were kind enough to let me try on a pair of glasses that I was planning to order online. The gentleman even took time to discuss the glasses with me even though he knew I wasnt going to purchase there.
