Buying a car should be a great experience. I have been buying cars for while, including top Germans or Luxury Japanese to mention some. Probably close to 20 of them. But I have never experienced such great care from a seller or a finance clerk during paperwork like the one I received from this dealer. For the 1st time I decided to take some time to write something about a car dealer.There are several places to buy a VW in SF, but I recommend to everyone to use this one. Won’t regret
Excellent service. Friendly and helpful advisor answered questions and explained what was done. Deducted one star because they didn’t call to let me know that the car was ready to be picked up, even though they asked for my phone number and stated that they would call.
Tiguan had the check engine light on. Took the car in and was called to say the battery needed replacing. I said it never had issues and was told its not at its best. That cost $410 ouch. I was quoted $320 BUT then extras added. Was told they were waiting on a censor but there is NOTHING on the worksheet about a censor only a water leak which was covered under warranty.I think we will find a different dealership.

ZERO stars should be an option. Forget about making an appointment here. It took me weeks to finally get one. My appointment was for 8:15AM very simple tire rotation and oil change. I called a few times throughout the day to ask when my car would be ready, no one returned my calls. EIGHT and a HALF hours later I was able to pick my car up. 8 1/2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. Customer service is horrific beyond belief. This is by far the most disorganized service center ever. I read the review last on Yelp and they were spot on as far as customer service and wait times. Such a shame that something so simple had to be dragged out all day with no communication from them whatsoever.“Feedback- both positive and negative – is essential to helping companies enhance their best qualities and address their worst so they can excel”.

I had great difficulty in getting status update on my car repairs from the service department on phone۔Phone is not answered and when answered I was put on hold for very long periods with no one picking up the phone ۔ I Had to call and disconnect 6 times because of long hold time and eventually had to go to dealership to get update on my car ، even in the dealership I had to wait long time before they could give me any information on my car۔ Left message for service manager، never heard back from the service manager۔ Service department appears chaotic and disorganized lots of room for improvement۔

No one answes the phone except the receptionist who then transfers you to someone who doesnt answer their phone & so you leave a message but they dont call you back. Youre just wasting your time calling. Best bet is to go in if you bought a car there & be sure not to buy any subsequent cars there

Overall, my experience was very good at this dealership. Ive shopped at many places and my observations about Gunther at Coconut Creek is that they are fair and friendly. The Sales person I dealt with was particularly friendly and easy to talk to, and did not have to speak with a 2nd or 3rd person, trying to apply pressure for a sale. I felt I got a very good deal and did not feel any pressure to buy at my visit to Gunther.

Greeted as soon as I arrived, very nice service tech named Chris took care of me, went above and beyond to look for what coupons I was entitled to. He explained how long it would take and was spot on accurate. He also came out to inform me I didn’t need a service I asked for- how many service shops anywhere are that honest? It’s a breathe of fresh car walking in and knowing that I’m taking care of each time I trade my car in. Appointment was at 10am. Arrived early and a service advisor did not get to me until 10:30. Very unprofessional. Watched the gentleman bring my car back from their car wash and I was not notified that my car was ready to go. I had to question the status of my service and then I was told that my car was still in the car wash when I was looking right at it. Wasted a huge amount of my time today. Will not be returning for any future services to my vehicle.

I was able to test drive 3 cars, do my credit application, sign paper work and drive off all in less than 1 hour and 45. I have never had such AMAZING and FAST service from a dealership. Car was brought in 1:15 because “low tire pressure” light had come on. All checks were made. Appointment scheduled. Also shared the car was pulling to the right. Tech stated that the car would be diagnosed and sounded like an alignment would be needed. $115.00 was quoted for Diagnoses & alignment. Requested we leave the car overnight. Agreed.As of 1:30 Friday we had received no call back / update / nothing. I called and left message of the tech on Norman’s voicemail - transferred to his Voice mail. An hour passes with no call back. I called again. Leslie did an knowledge me on hold once - but waited fir 13 minutes. Larry was speaking with me and A. Original text called and was speaking with Brianna/ driver. I ended my conversation with Larry.I am then told of extensive damage on the u derided of the car. This car has not been in an accident and is not driven off-road. Told $3,200 estimate; no alignment; no reference to original service issue. I Informed our tech we would be by to pick up the car. She said she would discount the normal 145.00 diagnostic charge to the 115,00 which was quoted to Brianna.We picked up the car and it was obvious I was/am not happy!We bought the car used from you! If this car was in a previous accident we should have been notified when we bought it!Not happy!
I went in with a specific car in mind and upon arriving Matt was our salesman who assisted us throughout the entire process. He was very patient with me and did not pressure me at all to buy the car. The car sold itself! (2018 VW Atlas SEL) The finance manager Lori was very helpful with the process too as she explained every single thing I was going to sign. Customer experience in service department has gone downhill. I’ve purchased two cars from Gunther Coconut Creek. Never perfect but always solid and reliable. Was pleased until now. I scheduled routine maintenance was told there were two recalls they would address during the visit. Arrived for my appointment and waited 40 minutes for someone to check me in. After he did, he sat down printing the paperwork for another 15-20 minutes while he chatted casually and joked around with another coworker. Then was told that one of the recalls wouldn’t be done Bc they only do that kind of work during the week. Was told 1-2 hours for the oil change and maintenance. Three hours later, no phone call, no communication, I approached the manager and asked about my car. He said he was sorry, started scrambling then disappeared. Four hours and counting… Still waiting.

I was interested in looking at a few cars while I was at the service dept. Norman recommend I speak to Moe. I was a little nervous/afraid going to sales because Ive had terrible experiences at other dealerships. However, Moe was the complete opposite! He did not rush or pressure me, he answered my questions and concerns I had. He took the time to answer all my fathers questions too. I appreciated his honesty and patience. I have a Jetta on lease almost 4 years ago. The lease will expire in about 6 months. I’ve found the battery was over so I took the car to the dealer and they gave me an appointment for almost 1 month later. It was the “best” they had for me. So my car has been in the parking lot for almost 1 month. Finally when I get to the Dealer to change the Battery I was told that it was the only one part out of warranty. So I had to pay $240 dollars for a new battery. I will return this car and I won’t renew with Volkswagen any more.
I called Larry and left a voice message. He called me, from his home, the next day. He apologized for the delay in his response and told me that he was out sick. He was able to make an appointment for the next day.He tested the car and found the problem. I needed a new battery. He looked back at my records and found that the battery was still under warranty. Because of his diligence I was able to save some money.I was able to get my car after 5pm as promised.

Quick and easy, I was able to do everything over the phone. I worked with Eduardo, and based on the situation right now regarding the market for cars, and actually everything, Eduardo was up front and transparent on the deal, which I appreciated. I called multiple dealerships in the area of South Florida and this specific dealership had the best price. I only had to spend 30 mins in the dealership, and Eduardo already had the car ready for me when I got there. Great easy going experience. Definitely will recommend this dealership if you are looking for a VW.

If you’re dealing with Jorge. It’s not the dreadful experience you expect when buying or leasing a car. He cares about your needs and your needs only obviously there’s a business side of things but he keeps it very transparent. He’s not interested in wasting your time but never rushes you with anything. Second car I’ve gotten through him and I won’t go anywhere or go through anyone else.
Never again. Went for factory software update. Supposed to be done between 1-3 hours. So I came with 2 cars. 4 hours later, no call, no text. I called but kept hitting same recording someone will be with you shortly. So I went there to see what is going on. Asked several employees to get me the manager, but no luck. Finally they brought someone from sales dept. He was nice, apologetic but that was not enough.I had issues with internet sales dept 2 years ago, so I went t Rick case. Obviously there is some serious problems in that facility. Good luck coconut creek Gunther. You will never, never see me or my friends again

My inspection was done, however i was not called for any updates and they were very lackadaisical in their approach for helping me. I probably will not come back here again. They told me they would provide me with an oil change and fix my entertainment system but when i got the car back, neither were completed.

Most importantly I got a VERY fair deal on 2021 Jetta. Miguel from the financing department was knowledgable and clear with the packages he could offer. Literally every person I came into contact with was professional and kind.
My vw sadly would not start and had to be towed. This was my first experience with VW roadside. Every person I spoke with was helpful and the automated system kept me informed of my progress. We were assigned Norman as our service advisor when the car got to the dealership! He was awesome, called to let us know our car was there and kept us updated on the repair status. He’s the best advisor we have ever had there! He deserves recognition!!
Took my car in bc it died was told the fuel pump was bad, thankfully my extended warranty covered it. Paid a flat $250, brought the car home, didn’t drive it for 2 days, turn it on and the engine light is back on. I was told to bring it back, so I did. After another diagnostic was performed I was informed that the battery was bad and the charcoal canister and N80 valve went bad, really!!!! 2 days after the car was serviced?! This was now going to cost me another $250 deductible plus the $225 for the battery. I asked them if they could please submit a “misdiagnosis”, under the advise of my mechanic. He’s done this for his customers to help alleviate the financial burden of paying another deductible. I called and was placed on hold for 17 mins. After informing my service rep of this I received a call back from Ms Walker the service manager. I explained the situation to her and she said the best they could do was go half and half on the deductible with me. After a conversation with her I was very disappointed so I called my warranty dept and they said that unfortunately they couldn’t waive the deductible but from her experience the servicer usually waived the deductible being they had just serviced the car a few days prior. Ms Walker had told me to call her back to let her know what the warranty dept said, I did but of course she didn’t answer her phone. I went ahead and approved work on the car bc I just wanted to put the experience behind me. A day later my car is ready, I go to pick it up and get a bill for $565. I ask to speak with my service rep bc basic math told me $225-$20 battery coupon =$205+$125 partial deductible = $330 plus taxes on the battery. Servicer says they input a coupon wrong, comes back 10 mins later with another bill for $440, again I ask what I’m being billed for, he tells me I have to pay taxes on everything bc it’s a service. I told him I paid a flat fee of $250 the week before for my deductible and nothing else. He takes the bill to the back and comes back 20 mins later with a bill for $353 which was correct if I truly was paying tax on the deductible but that shouldn’t have been the case. I pay the $353 and leave. I text my servicer today confirming that I didn’t pay tax on the deductible last week and all I got back was “ya sorry about the confusing”, this is completely unacceptable. I called the service manager again to express my dissatisfaction, of course she didn’t answer so I texted her and never received a response.I also want to mention that there were other customers there who were very unhappy with the service and their wrongly printed bills that benefit the service dept, not the customer, so please make sure to check your bill and ask bc they will nickel and dime you till the end.
I leased a Tiguan from here last night! I was impressed by our salesman Tony’s professionalism and knowledge about everything. He went above and beyond for us! Our finance guy was great! He gave a great deal and worked with us to get us what we wanted! A+
After looking at several dealerships online and test driving several cars, one of my options was at Gunther. I walked in and had the luck to be attended by Jay. I said luck because he was very patient and took his time to show me several options without being pushy. You can tell right away the difference with other salespeople because of the way they communicate and talk to other customers. We agreed on a deal and proceeded with the sale. The whole experience went sideways when we got to finance. We were pre approved by Capital One and we communicated that from the beginning. The finance guy set us up with a different bank because he said that Capital One takes too long to pay them (not our problem) got us an interest much higher, ran my credit 4 times (which lowered my score 10 points) and the paperwork was done incorrectly. Overall turned into a bad experience and now I see why they have such a bad rating everywhere.

Horrible experience every single time - purchasing my car was a blast - utilizing the service center has been miserable, aggravating and exhausting every single time. STAY AWAY - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!It doesn’t matter if you schedule an appointment - the service team is slow and has no sense of urgency or others time. If you arrive on time or early it will take 30 minutes for anyone to assist you. They never can provide an accurate time frame of expectancy for the job to be done. No one informs you when your car is ready - you’ll find your “specialist” just wandering/loafing around - again not consideration for others time. Twice I have waited at service center for my service and each time they have failed to alert me that my car was finished - given this prior experience I decided at my next scheduled appointment to let my “specialist” know about my prior experience and if I could please be alerted as I need to get back to work. Even doing so, I was still not notified. I was able to walk out with my car without hearing from my specialist on how the service went or any concerns with my car .... I am paying for these extra services and going out of my way to utilize the service center where I purchased my car instead of using a simple no-name auto mechanic. But the service at Gunther coconut creek does not meet my expectations.I highly suggest that you DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE CENTER. If you prefer to use the service center associated with the dealership where you bought your car then I suggest you buy a car somewhere else!!!
Great Volkswagen dealership with some awesome people working here. I have leased and purchased 5 cars from Gunther Volkswagen of coconut creek and you will definitely find what you are looking for here and make sure to ask to see Jorge if you are looking for a salesman. Whenever is time to get another Volkswagen will be going back to Gunther.

My vehicle keeps having electrical issues which I believe should be a recall. Imagine having to repair your car for the very same thing and paying more each time. This time after paying the fees I had to wait for 1 hour to get the car and it wasnt even washed. Extremely disappointed in VW. Will never purchase this brand again, going for a Toyota!

Working with my sales rep Mike Lair of Gunther VW was a great experience. He had the vehicles that I was interested in lined up prior to me arriving at the dealership. He explained the benefits of each one and remembered from a previous conversation what features mattered most to me. Bonus, a man, salesman who listens! The process was smooth and seamless. No pressure. I highly recommend Mike as well as Gunther VW!
Just rude - to the point that they looked lazy. The so-called inspection was fake - I know I need tires and one tire had just been plugged and wasnt properly inflated but it wasnt noticed on the so-called inspection. Returned the car to me without cleaning it because it was at the end of the day - oh but I can go any time for a complimentary wash - sure, let the inconvenience be on the customer! Since the dealer I previously used offered complimentary car cleanings anytime customers want to stop in for one, this offer was not the perk they tried to make it sound to be - as if they were doing me a favor. Just a bad experience. VW is simply not for me - this is my 2nd lease and the 2nd dealer I interacted with however this is absolutely the last VW that I will be leasing.
