Great place to get ice cream on a hot summers day. Found this hole in the wall gem and waited in line for some of the best icecream I have had in a long time. The butter pecan was rich and creamy and the black cherry had an explosion of flavor. Will definently return if in Cocoa in the future.

This is hands down THE BEST ice cream I have ever eaten!!! Went Saturday for the first time and I will be back to try more of their delicious scooped ice cream flavors. My wife had 2 scoops with the Special Praline on top of Strawberry. I did 2 scoops with the Stellar Coffee on top of the Special Praline. We both absolutely loved them. Their ice cream is soooooo creamy and exploding with flavor!!!! There are so many flavors and they have a selection for anyone with any dietary issues. I also can say that the ice cream we got did not affect us like some ice creams due to lactose. I highly recommend that you get the ice cream in their waffle cone which was a perfect complement. We live in Orlando but have family all throughout Brevard and are over there regularly and thank goodness because we cant wait to get back. Amazing!!!!

Homemade ice cream with light airy coconut accents. Reminds me more of gelato. A lot of options. Recommend the coffee flavor with chocolate shavings. Wouldn’t get the jar again. Opt for scoop in a cup - much better.

Tons of choices and flavors, decent prices, and really neat art surround The Fat Donkey. We picked up a milkshake and 3 different cups of ice cream along with a Fat Donkey t-shirt and stickers. The kids loved the awesome murals and tiki art that surrounded the store.

We went there for the gluten free ice cream sandwiches, but they were out, so the nice lady there heated up a gf cookie and plopped a large scoop of ice cream on it. It was awesome! Highly recommended.

I thought it was good overall. They provide decent portion sizes and moved through the people pretty quick. Milk shakes are a little too thin, so I wouldnt recommend those, but most everything else is good.

Absolutely amazing ice cream that will hit the spot every time! Ordered a large mango zonkey this time and loved it, as well as everyone who I shared it with in my group. Since going to Cocoa Beach, this has been a staple that we visit each vacation and that will never change. Friendly staff, great location and only a short walk to the beach. Cookie Dough is my favorite and there doesnt seem to be any other place that can make their ice cream as smooth and delicious as the Fat Donkey. I will continue to make this a part of my tradition as I recommend you do too!

This place is decent, NOT at all as good as it’s hyped up to be. I ordered a vanilla soft served cookie sandwich expecting it to be like the pictures but it was a crunchy pre-frozen sandwich. Very small in size, taste like one you’d get at the gas station. My husband got the Churro sandwich, which was bigger but overcooked. The ice cream was tasty but not worth the expensive prices and not as described

Visiting the Fat Donkey is a ritual that has become a must-do activity on each visit to Cocoa Beach. Nothing completes the beach experience like sitting outside on a wooden bench and chatting with strangers while eating excellent ice cream.

Delicious little hidden gem in Cocoa Beach that serves amazing ice cream concoctions!

Asked for three scoops in a cup. Barely got one. Asked for another to at least make up the missing ice cream. I received an excuse to the extent that the hot fudge will overflow the cup if they add any more scoops. Which was confusing. Because the cup was barely half full. I would have asked further, but my significant other nudged me along to leave.Im not sure if the girls working there are new or had a bad day. Or perhaps they are instructed to dole out -very- tiny portions. Either way, a disappointment after seeing all the positive reviews.

My wife and I decided to try a new ice cream place this week causing me to Google locations. We tried The Fat Donkey Ice Creamery due to the high number of positive reviews and we thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream. For those that enjoy strong coffee and dark chocolate highly recommend trying their Stellar Coffee.

Plenty of ice cream choices (including gluten free options) to satiate a sweet tooth. Aside from the both regular and soft serve flavors you have multiple cone choices that include a pretzel cone as well as chocolate chip cookie one. Quick service, the cookies & cream flavor does not disappoint.

The Fat Donkey was the 2nd ice cream shop we tried Labor Day weekend and it will be my first choice on our next visit. The cost was comparable but the choices and flavors were much better.SO many flavors to choose from with tasty ingredients like the cake in my Chocolate Cake ice cream.The shop is colorful with lots of fun art on the walls and plenty of cover from the sun or rain.

Something for everyone. The non-dairy ice cream is delicious and creamy. The selection of flavors for regular ice cream is off the charts. You can order a cup or buy a pint to take home.

Nice varieties in a creamy, heavy, low air base that is a favorite when in Cocoa Beach. Take the time to study the flavors and you are sure to find something really good. Chocolate Crunch is a favorite with peanut butter and crunchy pieces mixed in. Also Prailine Special, a vanilla base is great as well.

Not only does this place have an awesome name, they also have a unique variety of flavors! They will also mix flavors for you! The Fat Donkey is the perfect place to cool down after a long day at the beach!

Obviously a popular place but my ice cream was half melted when they gave it to me and already melting over the side of the cup and no offer by the staff to wipe it clean. Id go when its not busy as they cant keep up with the crowds. I also got a take home dessert jar, wouldnt recommend. Again, Im the odd review as everyone around me seemed happy. But, had to be honest.

The new thatch overhang makes the experience even better and there is plenty of bench seating. No more eating in the sun. My single scoop cherry oblivion was very generous. The employees have always been very polite and helpful.
