Best liquor store! Great selection, nicely laid out, and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They know their products, make great recommendations, and have never steered me wrong. I used to live up the street but move to NC. I make a special trip here when I visit MD because of the selection and recommendations.

Great selection of all liquors. I was in there for the first time today to get some bourbon gifts for some family. The owner came to talk to me personally and discuss the selection. 100% will go back. Super clean and well organized store and everyone was beyond friendly. See yall soon.

The store besides the great products has a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, which is lacking with the larger stores. I stop in at least once a week.

Excellent selection of Scotch Whisky! Multiple Octomore and Bruichladdie Black Arts releases! Campbeltown’s galore including many Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow bottling’s. Almost every single Compass Box bottling, all reasonably priced. Much of what you can’t get from Virginia ABC or Montgomery County is here.

I would leave a less than 1 star, but that is not possible. I called the store to determine if they had an item available. The owner informed me that they did not and it was a very difficult item to find. Great...I already knew that and was calling around to see if I could get lucky. The owner went on and explained that even if he did get it in stock he would only sell it to his top buyers. The folks who spend the most money in his store. The ones who buy for their kids weddings and such. I explained that I was just a wife, who didnt drink, and whose kids are too young to get married, trying to find a bottle for her husband for Fathers Day. The owner said yeah well I only would sell it to my elite folks. WOW! I mean even if that is true...why tell a potential customer this?? The phone call ended and I was left feeling some kind of way. To confirm, my son, who had been listening because the call was on speaker said ....geez...he was mean! So I called back. This time I got JP. He indicated that he had heard the conversation as he was sitting right next to the owner. I kind of expected an apology and that no, they care about all of their customers. However, that was NOT the case. He reiterated what the owner had said. It is in fact true that they seem to care more about their elite customers than the average Jane and dont mind sharing that information.

This is my favorite liquor store! I would never go anywhere else! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The owner is polite and always makes a point to say hello while I am shopping.

Well designed & clean, reasonable prices, decent selection, decent customer service. Stopped by for some tequila (hoping for Codigo), Natty Boh and some other beer. Found almost everything I wanted, and the prices were fair. Customer service was a bit bland, but its a beer store. Wasnt expecting super chipper folks. Overall, I would absolutely return.

Small place with wide selection. Went for a case of wine and had excellent help from multiple associates. Everyone was friendly and informative. It was also conveniently located in shopping center with easy plentiful parking. I had a really great experience and was in and out without any hassle.

I was in the area for an appointment and went in on a whim on my way home. That turned out to be an excellent decision. Their beer and liquor stock is very well curated, and their prices (for the stuff you could even find elsewhere) are also better than and other store in the region. Like I said, they have a great selection of rare and limited beers and spirits, and its certainly worth the trip.

Ive only gone there for beer and liquor, but I think this is one of the best liquor stores in the area. Theres a large wine section but I havent purchased much wine there. Prices are good, especially on growlers and the selection is good. Wish theyd clearly price the beers out on the floor, however.

Shawn Liquors and proprietor Matt recently helped me and my fiancee pull off an incredible open-bar wedding party. From helping us think through the exact right amount of everything to having a buy-back policy, Matt and Shawan Liquors were outstanding customer service providers every step of the way. Prompt emails, detailed budgets, on-time phone meetings --- cant recommend them strongly enough. Additionally noteworthy - great selection and, again, this buy-back policy is just so helpful in planning for a large event because you can buy more than youll need to be sure you wont run out and then return what is untouched to minimize cost to you.

Bad management on site. Wow, havent experienced something like this before. Asked a simple question and had someone, who calls themselves the manager, freak out on us. First off, he admitted to having dirty items on his shelf, that are being advertised for sale. So, an inspection is probably something this place needs. Wont be back.

This review is for dedicated bourbon and scotch enthusiasts. Shawan Liquors is a retail store that truly trys to provide its customers with the best products available. Its shelves of bourbon are filled with second rate bourbons however.. unfortunately. They do not even stock barrel proof Elijah Craig, nor do they have even on the shelves the High West Bourye, (which is available everywhere) nor did they have barrel proof E.H. Taylor ( I admit harder to find, but they really didnt have any E.H. Taylor to mention), nor did they keep even a couple orphan barrel for sale, despite the new Rhetoric 25 release. Im not insisting that they keep the rare and elusive bourbons that you never see anywhere.. that would be unfair. However... they do have a top notch scotch offering. Second to none! However you will need to open your wallet wide open for those.

The shop is spacious, well laid out and tidy. There are staff on hand to answer questions or assist.

The carry a very reasonably priced selection of cognacs. Including the Napoleon and XO varieties. Beer occupied a full third of the store and was mostly craft brews. They also have frequent tap tastings and wine tastings.
