We’ve been using J and Spool Service fir many years. They are responsive and do a wonderful job of taking care of their customers. I highly recommend them.

Don’t use this company. Don’t waste your money!! They do not take accountability when their employees damage your property. The cleaning kid broke my fence, and claimed it was already broken. He lied!! Plain and simple, and completely obvious how it was busted!! Cost me $1600 to replace the fence/gate. They denied and argued it wasn’t their fault. Ridiculous. I paid for the fence. I gave them another chance. The poor service continued . My pool looks horrible. Green, algae growing on tile, water fall had weeds, and filter was never cleaned. Of course the office staff did what they do best. Argued that the employee did their job. That they were told their employee told them he never saw the water fall on. Well, that’s because you have to turn it on with the lever next to the pump !!!! Told them it was some brown stuff on the tile, and he brushed it off. Well, I have photos. It’s not “brown stuff” it’s algae. The employee lies to cover his poor service, and they defend that. They do not offer to fix the problems they create other than rack up more charges to fix the accumulated damage caused by their employee over time. The office staff tried to say notes were left on my door. Lies. I call their office every month to pay my Bill, and not once have they reviewed my account, and advised me of the cleaning guys notes of repairs needed on my pool. He arrives and leaves in three minutes. He doesn’t brush a whole side of the pool, because they said they are not allowed to stand on water fall rocks, so that side won’t get brushed. Ok, but the last time I looked, and words from several other pool companies, they have that long pole to reach that side, and J & S was giving excuses. Horrible customer service and horrible Poole service. Now, it will cost me a lot more money to repair what they did. I had enough and cancelled their service yesterday afternoon. Around 9 am this morning my cameras picked up a guy in my back yard taking my pool filter out, and using my water hose to wash it. Causing a lot of mud on my concrete and splashed on my fence. He then turned on my water fall and left. I am not sure how he got in my back yard since I had a pad lock on it, and service was cancelled. I called the business and Matt tried to say he didn’t know the service was cancelled, and sent someone to clean my filter. The filter was not cleaned, and my pool looks like it belonged to an abounded house. The way they serviced my pool, and how it looks right now they definitely would not want it on their website advertising the service they did. They had no business being on my property let alone go into a lock yard. Which I’m guessing that guy jumped my fence, and was sent there to take photos in case I filed a complaint to make them pay for the repairs. Ridiculous how they can take peoples hard earned money, and treat them and their property this way!!! I would post all the photos I have of how my pool looked because of them if it let me. Just awful!I can only hope whomever they sent out to my house today did not cause any damage to the pool pump. They did not call me to tell me someone was sent out. This guy rang the door bell, and when no one answered he let himself into my locked backyard!!! No phone call! After he left I still did not receive a call that someone had gone to my house to clean the filter. There is no way Matt did not know service was cancelled. I am sure Tammy informed them of my compliant and photos I sent the same day we argued on the phone. I do have a photo of the guy in my backyard, but I hadn’t posted it.
Fixed a small leak on one of our pool pipes. Quick service, reasonable prices. But more importantly-- outstanding customer service. Very polite and friendly. Spoke with Matt on the phone and Ken came to the house. Thanks!

I needed a new pool filter cartridge and since I bought the last one at J and S pool I decided to go back for the cartridge (last purchase price was around $200)The older man with grey hair waited on me and was curt/rude. He went to look up the cost of the cartridge and returned to tell me the price would be $495 and they didn’t have it in stock.....I explained that the last purchase was around $200 and he told me their cost was $300 to get the cartridge. Said NO thanks. Internet retail price $235. Maybe they need to get their cartridges from Amazon or the pool supplies on the internet? With business down and Clovis being a small town I can’t see how this is small town customer service and so again I’ll buy my products for my pool on the internet.
As the other one star reviews state, the owner is extremely rude and they did not show up for scheduled appointments. I took the morning off to be home to discuss the problem with the tech and he no-showed. When I called to follow up and tell them I was off work and at home waiting, the attitude of the response was oh well. Then I was asked why I needed to be there with the tech anyway. I stated because I would like to discuss the issue with the tech specifically and see what he was going to do to fix it, I have that right. I was told I didnt need to be there and they would get a tech out sometime and the tech would call when there. I received a call from the tech AFTER he left my house stating that the filter pump turned on and was fine. THAT WASNT THE REASON FOR THE SERVICE CALL. I communicated the issue to them THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. When I asked him on the phone if he was still at my home he stated no and that he cant wait around because he has work to do. Yea, kind of like me taking the morning off of work and waiting around for the no show appointment, I guess I can wait around but they cant. Rude and inconsiderate...DO NOT USE!!!!

I highly reccommend J&S Pools. They recently installed our new filter and pump at our apartment complex. They were patient during the bidding process, their staff is amazing, and as well their crew came, got the job done, were professional and wasted no time. Used this company to do a pool inspection on a home we were buying. Josh came out and he was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. Gave great advice, looked over everything, and explained everything to me very well. However, it took days to receive the Itemized quote for repairs. Heather in the office repeatedly told us we would have it soon but still did not send it. Not sure why they would blow us off on the quote as most likely the seller would pay what ever they asked to be able to close on the house.... Seemed to me like they didnt really want/need the business.

I asked to check my pool filtering system and my pool had turned green. I had two other pool services try and one claimed is was a leak in the pump ($180) and the second could tell what the issue was. I call J and S as they are a contractor. They quoted $90 to check it, then stated I need a new filter ($380). I have a knew filter and a green pool. They came out a second time, as the filter they put in leaked to the point the pump would not work-drained part pool before it stopped pumping. I asked about the bottom drain and they came again to see if they could get it to work ($90). They were unable to fix that, they assigned me some work to take the new filter apart and clean it (two weeks old). I finally paid them to go away. I did find other reviews later that the J (Jim) in the J and S apparently had a similar issue with two other customers. He apparently does not care if the work is done or solves the problem. My fault for not researching them more thoroughly.
Their drivers need to be more respectful of safety issues in residential neighborhoods. 40+MPH is not safe or courteous. SLOW DOWN!

I am the maintenance supervisor for scottsmen apartments J&S pools is top rate they are number one in my book.
I was happy with Janice at first with their cleaning of my pool filter in the changing of some of my pool equipment but then when it came to the weekly service the fellows it came out just didnt do a very good job actually they didnt do much of a job at all thats why I quit the service .

No communication and took them 3 months to fix my spa heater (ordered 2 parts apparently, found out after repeated calls from me to them). Gave them a chance and they lived up to the negative reviews. If you have 3 months ore more to wait to get a job done, then they are the people to call...

J&S were quick to respond & repair the problem we had to our pool fence.
Called last week to see if I could get someone out to my house to give me an estimate to do a new pool construction. Was told that someone would get back to me to set up an appointment. Still havent heard back from them. Guess they really dont want the business. Their loss, if this is how they treat people, then Im sure it would be the same with construction.

Used them for years, switched our pool from salt over to chlorine. They treated the pool as if it were still on salt even though we were paying for chlorine service. Pool went green several times, finally figured out they werent chlorinating it and they refused to reimburse us.
