Nice place, good and friendly service. My drink was terrible, but thats more my fault for trying to make a giant latte a low calorie drink.

Fast and delicious. Gluten free options, but the fraps are malted so not gluten free.

Id give 6, 7, 8 stars, if I could! Ive been coming to this location for years and it has always been a great experience! The staff is always friendly, despite hard hours and sometimes caffeine-deprived(nice way of saying mean) guests. They also appreciate their regulars quite a bit, even memorizing my order and looking out for when there is a discount or deal I missed. I go out of my way to go to this location in particular, not that they arent all good. It helps that Caribous product is great, but the staff at this location is exceptional!

Hailey Jane was super nice when she took my order! Every time I come here all the staff is friendly and very efficient. I will come here any day over Starbucks.

Decent location, quite a bit of seating and enough space where youre not too close to anyone. Though I have to say, the machines are ungodly loud when being used. Not sure if its just bad acoustics or what. It sounds like a Dementor sucking the souls of a group of feral cats (feral cats would put up a fight which would make them louder), all at the same time.Overall though, nice coffee house.

Cold presses are good and so are the Gouda and bacon pastries

Went there and got a spicy mocha. I have gotten this drink many times and have loved it, but this time it had no flavor, tasted horrible, and the cup was only 3/4 full.

My wife loves their coffee. She usually orders a Northern Lite with sugar free raspberry and dark chocolate or the turtle mocha. However the service is quite variable between stores. The one on University Avenue always gets her order right but the stores on Mills Civic Parkway and at Valley West Mall frequently get the order wrong. This seems to be related to staff turnover. The staff at University Avenue has been fairly consistent while the staff at the other stores always seem to change.

Unbelievably disappointed in a shop that I previously frequented but will no longer be back to. I entered the shop without a mask after reading the sign that said a mask is “recommended”. Last I checked, the dictionary doesn’t list recommended and “required” as synonymous. To go orders are the only inside orders permitted, it was obviously going to be a quick visit. After being screamed at by an employee that I need to step back farther from the counter to order because I didn’t have a mask on (even though I was on the other side of a clear partition), the same employee turned to the others and screamed for everyone in the shop to hear that obviously they would have to change their sign because customers keep having the audacity to enter without masks. I watched the same employee treat the next customer who wasn’t wearing a mask in the same fashion (after ordering about $30 worth of drinks compared to my one) and then was interestingly enough given the incorrect drink. I have to think this was done out of spite. I’m astonished at this employee’s conduct. I should’ve gotten her name, but was so shocked in the moment it didn’t even cross my mind. She may not agree with the policy that her company is following, but that doesn’t mean she should feel so entitled as to treat paying customers so horribly.

Wanted a good coffee while traveling I 80 not truck stop 3 hour old coffee. Not to far off the interstate, quick off and back on. We were heading west so off on university then to Jordan creek Parkway, simple and fast plus my coffee Jones is fixed! Oh and it is great coffee!

SLOWEST CARIBOU IVE EVER BEEN TO. I have had to leave like 3-5 times this month just due to how slow it is. (Along with other cars who are doing this). If there is ANY kind of a line in the drive, expect to wait a minimum of 15 minutes. They are insanely slow, and they never apologize for the delay. Half the time my order is messed up. I won’t be going back, I suggest people stop going back, and then maybe they will get it.

Depends on the help how good service is. It can be great, but can be slow. With some of the people they hire it has been really good. Coffee is always great. Service is the struggle. I love Caribou coffee and drinks.

Never buying on the weekend they dont know how to do coolers it just taste like caramel no coffee. And plus their prices are rising.

Great coffee in a clean and charming shop. Our last visit was marred by a poorly trained new employee who couldnt manage to ring up the food order. (And her nearby co-worker declined to help!)Im impressed that they can make my favorite old-school coffee favorites, but the service issue needs work.

I went through the drive-thru today, and Chad was the one who took my order. Him and I got talking about how I was also an employee (at another Caribou) and he was extremely nice. Tyler was the one who took my payment, and gave me my order. My order came out way faster than I had expected, and they were both very nice.Definitely 5 stars.

I like the very quick service and the scones are wonderful. Their lattes (I prefer them without syrup flavoring) are great and dont have a harsh flavor

We have made it a point to visit Caribou coffee establishments whenever we are in their area. Todays visit was a bit of a shocker. The drink board was something we’d expect in a Starbucks- a myriad of ways to make sweet coffee flavored milk beverages. My husband thought he would not be able to get an americano. He was able to get one by specifying but I was afraid to try for a properly made cortado if simple espresso drinks aren’t featured. We bought a bag of beans and hope they are as good as we used to enjoy. We’ll savor our old memories of a time gone by and look for independents next time we’re in Caribou-land.

Whenever we are north of my beloved StL, we ALWAYS start the day with a Caribou Coffee. It makes my Handsome Man smile for the rest of the day. Now, if only they had some quality tea to keep me smiling...

Caribou coffee might appeal to some, but it leaves me wanting more...The coffee is bitter and acidic through a combination of their roasting and brewing processes (based on my experience)...After more than 10 visits I feel secure in my views that this is a sub-par national coffee chain.There are far better places in Des Moines for coffee and youd be well suited to search for them!

They have the best mochas. Unlike other places, they actually steam real chocolate into the milk. Add some hazelnut and you have the best drink there, iced or hot. ;)

Caribou has better coffee than Starbucks, hands down. Service is always quick and friendly. I prefer going in as opposed to the drive-thru in the morning, as the line can easily extend into the surrounding parking lot.

Great coffee, good service. Strange parking. Drive thru traffic blocks in the parking spaces if you choose to dine in so allow extra time if you go during a busy time.

Not very friendly, nor very inviting. Just robotic i wouldnt recomend this place. The gals seemed put out. I did not get a help with the app or how to add myself to get points. The gal asked me for my phone number, and then when it showed i wasnt signed up, didnt even ask. Just dry and uneasy.

I come at 6 am to meet a friend once a week. Every time, without fail, my coffee is lukewarm. All I have to do is ask them and I get a new coffee that is piping hot, but why at 6 am would the coffee be lukewarm?
