Purchased a pair of shoes for my grandson, the size he wears. I took the tag off because they were his size and actually looked a little big. They did not fit, couldnt get his feet in them. I live an hour and 20 minutes away from the store otherwise I would have turned right around and took them back. Well, apparently even with a receipt you cannot exchange or take them back (it has been 4 days since I got them) unless the paper tag is attached. However, they will buy them back from you for 1/2 of what you bought them for. How much sense does that make? And whatever happened to kindness, that is the 2nd time Ive been in that store and been disappointed in the lack of it shown.

I have been taking clothes to this store for 15 + years and could not be more impressed. The owner addresses me by name. The store is clean and organized. I have always been pleasantly surprised with amount of money I have received with each transaction. Kidding Around takes quality items and it is evident with their amazing inventory. The staff is warm, friendly and efficient.

I brought in 3 trash bags full of baby boy clothes that are less than 3 years old and I only got $7.65 back. I think that is a little low on their part because I brought in stuff that my son never even used and they ripped me off.

Fantastic place to find 2nd hand, clean, and new kids apparel and toys! The vast selection of items on hand means you almost always find something your child will wear or play with. Its a great place to shop with very reasonable prices. The toys have all been cleaned and are wrapped in plastic to keep them that way. All in all a great place to shop.

I came here with high hopes and ended up leaving with almost everything I had brought. Never coming back.

Awful. Took in a bin of kids clothes - all Baby Gap, Joe Boxer, Gymboree, etc. (name brands). I got a text saying your buy is ready. When I got there the young gal at the counter bluntly stated were not buying any of your items. sign here. No explanation. The notes said too old. I dont think Baby Gap and Gymboree ever go out of style for denim and especially for newborn items. Super picky and the staff are rude. When I have sold stuff to them in the past, they hardly give you anything. Would rather just donate than go in there again, what a waste of time on a nice weekend to make two trips there from Waukee.

Rude employees, I went in to purchase some clothes and they were laughing at a lady for the items she was trying to sell. I will not be returning to a store where the managers and employees trash talk a customer.Edit to add-I was not the customer who brought clothing in, but your response goes to show that you have a strong ignorance towards customers.

Great selection of kids and maternity clothes.

I loved this store for clothes for my little one. I visited for the first time since COVID today and I was disappointed to see employees not wearing masks. They are selling them and there are signs about social distancing but they aren’t practicing either. I asked about why staff aren’t wearing masks and they said they get too hot. Please be careful if you’re shopping in the near future.

Love this store! They are selective about what they accept so you can count on high quality mostly name brand items. I love that their inventory is small enough to quickly go through yet they always have the one piece I need!

Easy to shop with good quality clothing and decent prices. You have to check back often if youre looking for something specific. Havent tried to sell clothing so I cannot attest to that topic. Staff isnt overly warm when they interact with you which is a little sad but it could just have not been a good day or time of day when I came in. I will continue to shop there and maybe get around to becoming a consigner.

Kidding Around is one of my most favorite stores to shop at! They have great quality clothing, and deals. Their prices are perfect for a teenager with a job getting paid minimum wage. I highly recommend this store!

This store is my favorite one stop shop. It has everything I need for my kids. My kids are involved in numerous activities and they have it for a fraction of the price. I love the boutique wall as well of new stuff for pictures or gifts. Its so easy to go in and grab some clothes and then match hair bows with their large selection. Its a huge plus they have a play area for kids too! They pay great for consignment and have the brands I want to buy as well.

This was the first time I consigned at this store and I was happy with what I got. They didnt take a lot, but they pay SO much better than another kids consignment store which will not be named. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the clothes are much nicer than other similar stores. Lots of variety and very clean. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!

I wish I could give this store no stars. The employees were extremely rude and barely took anything from the totes I brought in to sell. They have no winter gear and everything is overpriced. Biggest disappointment. I’ll take my money and clothes somewhere else! As for anyone wanting to give this place a try, don’t waste your time!!

This offers the highest quality in brand and condition of any of the consignment stores Ive been to in the metro. It is the only one I bother going to anymore. Also as many retail places start to fade away its one of the few places to buy maternity clothes in store!

This is my favorite place to take my clothes! They send you a text when your items are done which i find so convient! I love how fast they get your stuff done. Overall a great place to shop and sell.

Great store to buy items, NOT TO SALE. I was only only offered $11.00 For two containers of clothes, a baby walker and a baby monitor. They obviously did not buy everything. Ive consigned with them twice and both times they hardly let me see the receipt of the items they bought, they litterly just passed it through my eyes... And if you dont ask for the stuff they didnt buy back they wont remind you about them...The first time I just thought they were busy but it happened a second time :(Like I said its a good place to buy NOT sale.

I had 2 things to buy and stood for about 15 to 16 minutes to be checked out and the woman behind the counter helped a woman who just walked in before helping me. She saw me standing there and didnt help me at all. Horrible customer care survives and I will be spending my money somewhere else when Ill get better service.

Great place to look for clothes. Good selection. They don’t just have clothes! There’s toys-dolls-baby items and my favorite is the fantastic selection of Korkin Krazy bows (every color/team/Holidays). Staff is friendly.

I like shopping there, but when it came to consigning, it was not a great experience. I dropped my stuff off Tuesday morning and it wasnt ready until Wednesday night. Also, they hardly took anything. I had a ton of maternity clothes.. in style and like new condition.. and none of it was taken. Dont waste youre time consigning there..

They pay way more for my items than other places, they have a great selection of items in LIKE NEW condition, and they also ha e a huge selection of NEW hairbows and other boutique items usually only found at high end stores and Esty, but for a fraction of the cost. When I walk into a store and see 4 workers standing around the front is bad enough, but when u felt like u was bothering them when j asked a question is when I had had it. I took in some lightly worn items, They didnt take many things but yet when I look on the racks the clothes they had out were more worn than what I had AND in season. I just do t get it.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. I took 2 tubs to trade/sell they said items were too worn to accept. Many items still had tags attached as they were given as gifts.
