Local hardware stores are the answer to what you cant find in larger retail stores. I needed a fuse for my microwave,they had the answer for $4.98 pack of 2 AMA-------,wanted 12__to $15.00 SAME FUSE. I lv local hardware stores.

I have lived in Clinton for 58 years. Clinton Hardware has always been our familys go to hardware store. Always excellent service, great advise and friendly staff. A little store but packed with people who want to assist your needs!

I was trying to do business today. One of your employees was at the door let a white female inside and didnt ask her anythingWhen two black customers came to the door. She asked them what are you here for in a rude tone. She also shared she is married to a black man. The was very rude. My family has been doing business with your store for over 20 years. Sorry but I will not be back as long as she works there. I understand that she didnt want too people in the store. Other stores dont question their customers at the door. Thank you for the years of service

Family owned, its like Lowes but smaller. Customer service is excellent. Im impress with the variety they have in the store. I was trying to buy a 12V battery for my house alarm. Lowes didnt have the item, but they did. I couldnt believe it, they replace batteries in watches.

My heat went out recently & being the DIY type guy I am, I hit YouTube & was able to troubleshoot the problem & would you believe it, NONE of the BIG BOX stores had the part on the shelf, I would have had to order it & freeze for a week. BUT...BUT....thanks to Clinton Hardware...all is warm & toasty! Excellent customer service & the forethought to stock such a part (furnace igniter)! Ill always think of them FIRST for now on!

OMG I truly love Clinton Hardware. Have used them for almost 20 years and each visit I received specialized attention, from a subject matter expert. You guys should expand and start training courses or workshops because you are just that good. But Thank You for your many years of always having everything that I needed in the store and your advice and excellent customer service.

Great little hardware store more knowledgeable than the big box stores.

My go to hardware store for over 30 years. They have helped me with many home repairs over the years and always give the right advice. They stock many items for older homes. And Mrs Bee always greets you with a smile and has time to talk.

Employees need to learn to tell time or at least learn what their store hours are. Was there last night and they were closing up before 6 and yes I was pushing it close to closing but I was there at 5:56, which was enough time to grab what I needed and be gone before 6 and doors were being locked. This is not the first time this has happen to me at Clinton Hardware. Either stay open till 6 or post new hours! Unfortunately for them they lost several sales as there were a couple others pulling in to the parking lot around the same time.

Walked in employees playing on phone, not sure they saw me come in. They didnt say anything to me. Ran into another employee, who helped me (very helpful and knew his stuff). Overall I was happy(got more help then Lowes gave me) but customer service could be a lot better when you walk in

I always go here first, instead of the big box stores. Someone is ready to help you as soon as you walk in the door. They almost always have what I want. If they dont have it, they will order it. I have shopped here for over 20 years.

Horrible customer service. Had to get a key specially made while between classes. Unfortunately, this business has a three dollar minimum when they have products that cost three dollars and under.Because I only had my debit card and was short about $.50 in change I was told that I can either buy something extra or I would not be able to get my key.Through this whole ordeal I had to use the restroom something terrible, mentioned it to one of the customer service reps and was told that I would not be able to because of their no public restroom policy.After struggling to find enough change, with no success I went back to the cash register to comply and purchase an extra item so that I can get my key.I mentioned being told recently that it was actually illegal to not except someone’s debit cards in order to cover the businesses service fees.The white – haired lady at the cash register then proceeded to explain how I was incorrect and that her vast banking experience could prove me wrong.Needless to say, her banking experience at this point was it relevant to me as I am more concerned with their lack of customer service and helpfulness.It is clear I will not be back, I am all for supporting family owned businesses however I will not pay more; for less. Go to Lowe’s down the street, you can always use your debit card; and will never have to deal with know it all, unfriendly, customer service....at least not with them getting away with it.Good day :-)

And Mrs B will greet you with a smile at the door when she is working and always has a kind word or a few minutes to chat when you check out. This is my favorite go to hardware store!

I am a long time regular customer. Whenever I have difficulty finding something at the bigger stores, I can usually find it at Clinton Hardware. Last week I was looking for an electric heater for the basement. I could not find one at the big box stores. Clinton Hardware had 5 models to select from. I was very happy. The service is great and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. If you have a problem and dont know what to do, the staff will make recommendations and help you find a solution.

Pick up a shower divertor to replace my leaking one. It was old style with stem and washer and I wanted a washer-less one that I could replace the cartridge when needed. They had exactly what I was looking for. Picked up the needed plumbing parts and hardware and got her done.

The Clinton store is the BEST. They are around the block from LOWES but I go to ACE first since their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, always available and very helpful - unlike LOWES and HOME DEPOT.
