This facility has been wonderful to work with. They are knowledgeable, keep me informed every step of the way - no surprises. They also responded with assistance during a snowstorm when my car died. Offered to bring me and my groceries home while they fixed my car. Nice people!

Thank you to Tom and Lloyd who took the time out to replace a botched tire job I had done at a dealership. I couldn’t be happier with the work that was done. Even though this tire wasn’t their mistake they replaced it and made sure my car was safe to drive. Monro is amazing! Went last weekend for brakes because my brakes literally didn’t work and you guys went above and beyond! You got me in immediately, you didn’t have the parts on hand but called around and got the parts I needed and got it done that day! I will definitely be going back!

I have been taking my Hondas to Monroe/Clinton for almost 20years. I have always felt treated fairly and never been sold a repair thatI didnt really need.

These folks are so nice and helpful. We were passing by on the highway and our car started acting very funny. They took us right in, diagnosed and fixed the problem. It was 4 pm on a Saturday and we were worried they would be closed or too busy, but no! They charged us as little as possible and were so kind. 💕

Highly recommend. I was told they would be great, and they were. For the first time in 5 years a mechanic was able to fix my dashboard tire light, and I didn’t even ask them to. They went out of their way to fix (and clearly not charge) by checking the spare. The manager, John, couldn’t have been nicer.

Tom and Caleb were extremely helpful! I went to Town Faire Tire to get my tire replaced— I called ahead and they told me to come down right away. When I got there, they said they were too busy and were rude when I said they had told me to come down.... I went over to Monro auto service and they helped me immediately. They picked up the tire I needed and replaced it in an hour. Super friendly and helpful!

Came in with a flat tire late in the day and these guys were able to help patch it quickly. They could have easily sold me a new tire, but instead we’re honest and offered to patch it for much cheaper. Tom and Caleb were great! Thanks for the help, guys!

Was in the Clinton Monro yesterday because when I was braking my whole front end was shaking. The manager John took me right in even tho he had three cars in the shop already. Him and his tech Caleb I believe worked on my car together fixed the brakes and even was able to do a coolant exchange for me! Those two worked awesome together got me in and out in two hours. This shop is by far the best Ive found anywhere whether its on the west coast or east coast and everything in between. I cant remember the last time I had such superior service!! There were plenty of places I could have driven to near my home....and you cant blink without seeing one kind of service center or another but I chose to drive over 30 min for the exceptional maintenance (tires and oil change), high caliber customer service, and just superb care that you can only get at the CLINTON MONRO MUFFLER/BRAKE & SERVICE!!! Thank you to JOHN (best manager ever!!!) AND LLOYD (tech extraordinaire)for like making feel like a truly treasured customer and for doing such a spectacular job...going to be a fan for life!!!!

Fair, HONEST, and Polite!After visiting my local dealership I replaced my front brakes (per recommendation) and was about to schedule an appointment to replace my rear brakes, but my gut told me to get a second opinion. I went to Monro for a free quote and was taken care of by Christian - he was great ! Come to find out my rear brakes have much more left than what I was told, almost double about what the dealership said I had left! Will definitely be going back for future concerns.

First I would like to state John the manager for Monro Auto service in Clinton CT is one of the best in the industry. His staff of Tom and Lloyd was amazing and knows their stuff. Now lets start with my experience in CT. I am NYer that came down with my family on vacation to CT. My Jeep ended up overheating and I took to a meineke repair shop. (The auto repair guy told me my thermostat was gone and he needed to replace it. He ended placing the thermostat and the car was still overheating! Long story short I was trying to get back to home NY and I ended up take my Jeep to Monro Auto Service in Clinton. The minute we walked in, I told John the long story what had happened to us and he assured me him and his staff will be able to get us home. As myself and family was waiting we met a few of his customers and they raved off how good these guys really are. Even my family seen how respectful they were to their customers and fulfilled their every need. The prices were more than reasonable and they work with all their clients trying to get the best deal for them. Now to the mechanic who was fixing my car, Lloyd! This man knows his stuff. Before he even touched my Jeep he already figured out what the problem was. Meineke end up putting my Thermostat wrong and it was damaged while they did service. John ended up ordering a new one for me and Lloyd installed and did a full service check on my Jeep. We ended up getting home and followed their directions. I and my family are so thankful for these guys and they deserve a lot of recognition for what they do. Thank you for getting us home and being great personable people.Kudos to John, Tom and Lloyd!

Worked with the staff and specifically spoke to Christian on a complex tire installation (large oversized tires on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited). He expressed an extremely in-depth knowledge of both the tire install process (difficult at best) and additional impact the larger then normal tires would have- specifically to the alignment. I am and will be highly recommending this Monro to friends and family. The staff was unbelievable and the service beyond the call.Sean O

Called for an appointment thinking I’d be scheduling for days in advance and they got me in same day for an oil change and warning light diagnostic. Late night and Sunday shop hours are super convenient. Quick and friendly service and I was on my way within an hour. Will return and highly recommend!

I have just visited Monro and I got a oil change and the service was the best I have received anywhere. Christen was very knowledgeable and informative. Also I was here a few weeks ago to get tires mounted and balanced and they couldn’t have done better for quality of work.

I had a flat tire and had AAA tow me to Monro in Clinton. I was in and out quickly. Christian was great. Very professional. It was very cold that day— and he made sure I was warm enough in the office while I waited.

I went in to get my tires replaced and an alignment on my vehicle. When I arrived I was greeted by John the manager who was very polite and friendly. He was able to provide me with multiple tire options that fitted my needs. The pricing was very reasonable and he was able to get me what I needed that also fit with in my budget. I wasnt sure if I needed the alignment but after the technician Tom mounted and balanced my new tires he did confirm I needed the alignment. I appreciated the fact that they checked it for me rather than just doing it if I did not need that. Not knowing much about cars alot of times they will try to sell you more than you need. I did not feel presured or taken advantage by John or Tom. They where up front, reasonable and treated me with the upmost respect. Highly recommend them to all my friends and family! I will be returning for my future tire needs! Thank you guys!

Two times in the past week I went in for unexpected, unscheduled service. Both times the work was done quickly and professionally. They quoted me a good price and stuck to it. They even had a battery driven over from two towns away and put it in for me on a busy Saturday. I had to wait there for my car both times and was given periodic updates which I really appreciated. Very happy to have this place right here in town

Took over an hour for a simple oil change. The people workers take their sweet old time and do whatever the please. I am not happy with my experience, and I will not be coming to this place again.

I was in a real pinch with my car today and these guys delivered! I work crazy hours and was so relieved to find out that Monro was open late. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional and really went the extra mile to help me out. Issues with my car were explained clearly and pricing was very fair. When I noticed a difference in the way my car was handling as I drove, I took it to Monros to find out the problem. As a single woman I wanted to take it to people I trusted. I had done business with them in the past, but just for oil changes. They thoroughly went over my car, taking over an hour, with no charge to me. They gave a detailed account of what was wrong, and were very accommodating about servicing my car in 2 separate appointments to make it affordable to me. Christian was super cool. I had a slight emergency with a plastic shield under the car. It was Christians day off, but he happened to be here. He took the car in, put it on the lift and fixed it. So awesome.

I had a problem with a headlight that kept blowing and a few other places had just popped in a new bulb and tell me I’m good to go. But Christian took the time to find and diagnose the actual problem which was a faulty connector. The guys were great. They explained everything to me and they were kind, professional and efficient!

After blowing a tire and waiting for a very slow response from AAA, I called this shop and asked if they would stay late on this summer Sunday. They were very kind and reassuring, told me theyd be there when I arrived. Once I got there, they quickly replaced my tire and got me back going in less time than it took to get my tow, and at a reasonable cost. Thank you Ed and crew!

I was able to be accommodated the same day I called and my brakes started grinding a little over a week prior and needed to get this done. Although I only had so much money to work with, Ron was able to make the numbers work so I was able to get my brakes and rotors done for an exceptionally fair price.. thanks Ron for working with me seeing that my back brakes were shot.. I’ll be back to get the front ones done very shortly..

Christian was great. Come in for an oil change and he was able to take me right away even after a hiccup of the online system. He explained to me what work would have to be done till next oil change and I was in and out within 30 minutes. Give the dude a raise he did me a solid before a long trip and was only time I could do it. I’m sure to be a repeat customer now.

The other day I came in with what I thought was a relatively simple task... turned challenging due to poor manufacturer part quality. The job became much more difficult and required me to purchase new parts, and Bryan Brouillard, one of the store managers, ensured that this experience was as easy as possible for me given the situation. I usually don’t like to go to Chain names for automotive work but here is one of the few places I trust. Quality work and I don’t get services offered if I don’t need it like some places do. I’ve been offered to get my coolant system flushed by one of those quick drive thru places. And I had my coolant serviced a month prior! That place said oh it didn’t show on our database. Which means some places offer services when it’s not necessary! Here they actually check if it’s needed and I know they aren’t just checking their computers but actually checking the fluids properly. That’s just one example of why I trust this shop. Thanks

I came in on a Sunday which was really convenient because I work all the time. Bryan took care of me right away. I explained that I had a noise in the front end. Bryan determined that I needed new struts. He got the job done in a jiffy and the front end is as quiet as a mouse. I will definitely come back.

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with this place. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and work quickly to get you back in your car. Their prices are competitive and reasonable and I have never felt they have pushed anything that isn’t necessary. I discontinued service with the hyundai and Kia dealerships both of my current cars are from and others I have tried to service with prior because in comparison it has been an over all cheaper, friendlier, and more positive experience.

As a woman I try to stay away from these places as much as possible for the fear of being ripped off. But not this place! I had a very loud grinding sound coming from my brakes and needed someone to take a look. I was greeted by the manager Bryan upon entering the building. They were very busy at the time but he assured me he would get my car in ASAP. It was only 15 min later and my car was on the lift. After the tech checked it out, Bryan let me know all I needed was new rotors and brake pads. He quoted a great price and the work was done within a hour. Can’t beat the price and service I received! They are definitely my new mechanics from here on out!

I came in looking for a quote. I decided they would do the job but it would take hours for the repair to be completed. They offered me a ride home and pickup later when job was completed. That was great!

Went today for a typical oil change. I have been here many times over many years and have NEVER had a problem like this!!The young “manager”, Christian Hernandez, “greeted” me with a tired almost frustrated tone. Proceeded to do the normal paper work.After doing the oil change told me I was due for tires soon, I said I wasn’t getting tires today. He quickly retorted with a slight attitude and said I’m not asking you to buy tires Miss.Then told me that he couldn’t test my battery Bc their device wasn’t working. Apparently they only have one battery tester in the whole place. And he couldn’t check one of my fluids Bc they were out of testing strips. What a way to be prepared on a busy Saturday in the summer. Then he told me that I had a small leak.Then paused and looked at me. When I ask where the leak was he again seem irritated and said I was just about to tell you. Like it was my fault we sat there staring at each other for a few moments.Then he told me normally it was a $120 diagnostic fee to tell me where a leak was in my car, But that he normally waives the fee unless he finds something.Turned out it was a $0.49 washer that just needed to be replaced. Such disrespect. Won’t be returning anytime soon if that kid is working.Upon leaving a nicer gentleman (Mike) told me to have a nice day. I told him I would now that I’m leaving this place. He said oh I’m sorry. Can I do anything to make it better. I said yea, tell your manager to have a better attitude towards their customers.(That’s when I learned that Mike was the actual manager and that Christian was the assistant manager.)I then said that he needed to make it clear to the other kid that he wasn’t the actual manager. I explained that he was very disrespectful in the way he spoke to me. That he seemed irritated and impatient. I asked to speak to the manager or supervisor, he said he was the manager. I asked to speak to anyone higher up then him he said there wasn’t anyone, but I could first yo mike, but he never got mike.As I was explaining all of this to Mike, Christian walked by and heard me say that he was not the manager he retorted with that I was being very rude and then I couldn’t speak to him that way. Mike stepped in and said let it go. I explained that he can’t speak to me that way that he was the one being very disrespectful.I got in my car and was about to leave when Mike said what can we do to make this a better experience for you and I explained that I had been a customer there for a very long time and I’ve come in several times and I’ve never had a problem up until now.He said well I’m very sorry for what happened the next oil change is on me and I left.after being there for an hour and 15 min.And I had made an appointment. I wasn’t a walk-in.I will not go back there if that pompous self righteous “manager” excuse me....assistant manager is working.
