Competitive pricing for the area. Easy access and friendly & accommodating staff. The rating would have been 5 stars if this facility didnt raise their monthly prices just as the COVID 19 pandemic hit the northeast hard in 2020. They didnt postpone the price hike or give consideration to those of us who lost their job and had to wait an entire year to move. They also do not prorate which would be helpful during an expensive move.

We needed to upgrade to a larger unit during our kitchen renovation and she found one in the same building, same floor and actually just a few units down the hall. Made the transfer so easy. Its our 3rd time renting short term storage here and we wouldnt go anywhere else.

As a longtime renter at the Allwood Clifton location, going back to the Lackland and Uncle Bobs days, I feel I can weigh in on the effectiveness and customer service of the complex and its management very effectively.Over the almost 20 years of utilizing a modest sized storage space at this facility, very little issues occurred, but when they did, nobody helped better/more than Irene and manager Carlo Cavani.During every transition to new ownership I had a lingering billing issue, in that I needed a paper copy of the automatic billing I set up with my company. The ONLY time this didnt take months to figure out is when Carlo personally took care of it.From there if I ever needed anything, he was my guy, until I found Irene who works with Carlo. She too was awesome helping me out and both are great people as well. I cant thank them enough as I sadly had to close out my unit tied to new company policy.Truly, thanks for all the help Carlo and Irene. We had a problem with a rusted lock and a spring loaded door that stopped working. As we come from Manhattan, we were afraid it was going to take all afternoon. Instead, the folks that work here, Irene and the young woman who cut the lock (I’m sorry - I can’t remember her name, but she has blue hair and was terrific!) were able to organize the work and get us in and out with time to spare. Irene was very helpful and patient with us! I highly recommend Life Storage. They’ve got people like Irene, who makes us confident that our storage items are safe - no little thing. Thanks Irene!Dan

We have had storage at this location through numerous owners . The current management has 2 outstanding employees Irene and Lily.We have lived out of state for several years and only occasionally visit this location, that said,on property personnel of excellent quality makes all the difference. Each and every time we have reached out to either Irene or Lily their promptpatient responses have been reassuring.We have 3 lockers currently and are organizing a major move long distance their customer care and consideration for their clients has been remarkable. I highly recommend Life Storage at 300 Allwood in Clifton NJ. The entire staff were all so very kind, and professional. I was worried about having my belongings in a storage space at first but when I saw how clean their units are and the climate control which kept my things just as I left them a year ago!! Lily was exceptional she went above and beyond to make this all a pleasant experience. Thumbs up for Life storage !!

The area is busy which is why I picked it. Its not tucked away and seedy looking at all, like some storage places. Its well lit, secure and clean. A bit over priced but u get what you pay for.

Poor customer experience. Tried switching units after finding out the one I rented online had steel columns in it which made the unit size smaller than advertised. Did it on a Sunday which they now have no store hours. I tried to go 2 days later on a work day and they said it was past the 24 hr window and that I would have to be charged again for the transfer! They called me back several days later to try and correct the problem. So I go to their office, but they wanted to charge me more by not allowing me to just continue the advertised free month and charging me the more expensive in-store monthly price! Ive been at this location for many years with other units and never experience something so frustrating. Watch out for the bait and switch tactic with their online and store pricing.

We have been a customer since this facility opened over 12 years ago. Given the specials they give new customers, we would appreciate their giving loyal customers a a discount, say 15% off one month out of the year. We do not have to be given a free month or say 50% off the first month to stay, so it costs Life Storage no free rent or marketing expense to keep us. We would like to feel the love. Tenants staying over a couple of years should be rewarded. Tenants staying over five years or ten years should be rewarded even more. Turnover costs money.

I love this place. I needed to get some storage outside of NYC and, after checking out a few of the Uncle Bobs in New Jersey, I settled on this one and Im glad I did. They are super responsive whenever I have any question or issue. The facility is clean and well-kept, and its easy to get to.

Im still smiling about the experience I had at the Clifton Life Storage (Store #736). I had never rented a storage space before so I didnt even know what I needed. Krystina talked me through the process and took the time to show me the different sized spaces. I have to admit that I was a bit apologetic about my indecision, but Krystina was very calming and put me at ease with the amount of time I was taking. She then offered to hold the locker for about a week. Later on after I had made a decision, I called and spoke with Irene... she was already knowledgeable about the arrangements and couldnt be any happier to answer additional questions. I later came in to finalize the paperwork and everything went seamlessly... These 2 ladies left an impression on me and had me wondering.... Why doesnt everyone go about their job with this level of caring, pleasantness and professionalism. Yep... still smiling! And I dont like writing reviews. - Gregg

I had thought I was able to get one of their advertised discounts, yet it did not apply to my particular unit, The customer service person at the store was actually able to find a particular discount, that actually saved me 50% on the first month!When something went wrong with the door on my unit they fixed it quickly and efficiently as promised. Great place!

My first point of contact was the Store Manager, Krystina, who immediately greeted me with a smile and a good morning when I first walked through the door. Very professional demeanor. She and the other ladies in the office make a customer feel welcome and comfortable. I noticed the cleanliness of the office right away also Krystine helped me find exactly what I needed and assisted me on another occasion with larger boxes by helping me put them in my little car! Even today--back for more boxes and tape! I found all the women in the office to be very cordial and helpful. Moving as exciting as it can be, can also be a bit stressful, and it is a pleasure to shop for supplies at Clifton Life Storage in the midst of it! Thank you!
