I rarely do reviews, but these guys deserve a fair review. I brought in a vehicle for a brake job. They completed the work and I picked up the vehicle. On the way home, I felt the brakes were a bit spongy. I called and explained i thought the system had air in it. Heres is where this shop excels.. CUSTOMER SERVICE. They didnt question it, no resistance.. simply asked i bring it back. They sorted it out the next MORNING.Great customer service. This is my new go to shop. You cant put a price on trust.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST shop I have ever gone to. Came here for a change of tire which should easily take 5-10 minutes and left there FOUR HOURS LATER, I could understand one hour if they’re really busy but no they took hours! I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW A TIRE SHOP COULD BE SO BAD AT FIXING TIRES! Not to mention how ridiculous the prices are, i had no other choice but to come here but I really don’t know who would choose to.

ETD in Clifton is a great. I have always been concerned that women get taken advantage of when they bring their cars in to be fixed at any shop. Not only wasn’t I taken advantage of, the prices were cheaper than I could find anywhere else. They also offer a warranty on the tires you purchase there, at a very reasonable price. One of my tires had a slow leak near the end of the warranty. They fixed/replaced the tire with absolutely no cost to me. In addition, apparently the rim lock was not replaced in my car from the dealership so ETD could not fix the tire at first. They were patient with me and also told me how I could get the lock directly from the place that would have them instead of going letting me go to the dealership. It only cost me about $6 to get the new lock and they rushed it out to me. EDT was supposed how fast I got it. The dealership would have taken much longer and charged me about $100 for something that the likely lost to begin with. If you call ahead, ETD will tell you the best time to come so you don’t have to wait long for the work to be done. I highly recommend them, for tires and all of the other services they do there. I always thought they only did tires but they do so much more. And they are trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

Was there a week ago (Tuesday, March 23rd 2021) with my wheel off my car in the back seat, the easiest way to get tire service done! No need to make room for a vehicle in the service bay, no need to move any vehicles to get the job started, no need to jack up the car, no need to take the wheel off the car, nothing! Wanted to get a plug for the nail in the tire, simple quick job. They would not plug it, only patch. I did not have time to wait for a patch. I have had tires plugged many times in the past on many of my previous cars including this car at other places and never had a problem with the plugs coming out or leaking or throwing the wheel off balance or anything! ETD will not plug your tire whether its on or off the car. They prefer the time consuming and more costly method. After I left their location I went to Quick Check to get a sandwich and Seabreeze Automotive (NAPA) was accross from Quick Check on Broad St. in Bloomfield. Had the tire plugged in 5 minutes for $10. I gave the guy $20 because he did not jerk me around. That is the quickest way to get a tire leak fixed!

This is 10000% the place to go. And I guarantee once you try ETD you will never go any place else!! Not only are they at a convenient location with convenient pricing, Austin and his staff proved to be hardworking with amazing customer service skills. I went in today (December 30th 2020) with no appointment because I lost both my actual tire as well as my spare (an unlucky day unfortunately). While waiting in the waiting room I could see how quickly and dedicated everyone worked while maintaining a positive attitude !! In the process Austin and his staff made sure that they notified me of the procedures as well as any warranty information, and guaranteed that if any issues were to arise all I had to do was go back on Saturday (Though I know there will be no issues). Not only did they help me with that but they also recommended me to a nearby location for auto body work.Thank you team for your hard work ! Hope you all have a happy and safe New Year !

Austin and his staff were awesome! My check tire pressure light came on. I stopped by, no appointment, and fortunately they checked my tires right away. Turns out I needed a new tire. Austin reviewed all costs/options and his team quickly moved forward to put my new tire on. ETD is fairly priced and staff are knowledgeable and professional.

When for a quote got told something then the next day comes around and he tells me something else . Ive done the job on a smaller car and it dont takes 6 hours to change 2 parts.mind you I was 18 when I did it myself, unprofessional

1. My wheel sticks out further than the tires. Found scratches all over the face of the wheels. If you have a stretches tires, save yourself the pain and go to a place where they care for your wheels.2. Had two bent wheels. Vibrations were minimal but noticable. Only felt vibrations over 60mph but it was minimal. After they balanced/rotated(wrongly) it was WAY worse than before. I couldnt drive over 50mph. Keys were rattling and phone kept falling off its mount.Ended up with an undrivable car with scratched up wheels. Went to Ulerios to get everything fixed.

This is a great tire shop! Ray took very good care of us.

Came here and waited forever to be helped. I just left after 15min of waiting. Guys had total disregard for customers time while they were chatting with each other and just online.

I’ve been going to ETD for the past 8 years. I always have a good enough experience to continue using ETD but my most recent experience May 2020 was exceptional! They have had some staffing changes recently & they are even better than before! Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful... I can’t rave enough about how great my experience was. They team there is doing an awesome job! I highly recommend them. I had an oil change, 3 tires repaired, new rim & preventative maintenance. They do much more than just tires

After hitting a pothole which damaged two of my tires, I called in to ETD to see if they would work with the wheel and tire protection package that I purchased from the dealership. Raid Younes provided excellent customer service in making sure that my vehicle was attended to in a timely manner and verified everything with the warranty company directly. He provided me with updates and sent me pictures of the damage as part of the updates. Great work to Raid and the team at ETD!! 😊

Poor customer service. Made an appointment, waited an hour for them to begin my car (cars arriving after me were serviced first). When I paid, I handed Austin my card, he returned it by throwing it back at me on the counter. Very poor way to treat paying customers

I’ve been lucky enough to find ETD TIRES in Clifton and have come to know Austin the company manager through multiple conversations and visits for service.I’ve always been very very happy with the courtesy professionalism integrity and knowledge of Austin and the ENTIRE staffJust this Saturday I stopped in to have a minor repair done underneath the car. Some of the plastic covering had come loose under the car and yes I was in somewhat of a hurry to get to my daughter.All the bays were filled with cars and my wait time would’ve been approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Highly recommend this place. My wife and I have taken our Jeep Grand Cherokee here a few times to have the tires changed, rotated or aligned. I thought I had driven over a nail on Route 80 and my tire was slowly going flat. I googled for a local tire shop and found ETD. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left it was a friendly and professional experience.Based on the number of reviews and high rating here, it’s obvious that ETD does not need my endorsement, but I wanted to make sure to at least recognize Austin for his awesome. customer service.Upon closer inspection, it turned out that I didn’t have 1 nail in my tire. I had 3! Also, 2 of my other tires were near bald on the inside and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, ETD did not have the ones we needed in stock. Since this was a Saturday and already 11 am, AustIn explained that the tire delivery company could take a few hours to bring them over. Knowing that waiting another few hours was not an option for my personal situation that day, Austin generously offered to drive over to the tire warehouse, pick them up, and bring them back so I could be on my way in 1/2 the time.My car was repaired as promised, I was able tend to my personal obligations, and most importantly- my family was driving on solid tires when I picked them up later that day.As an entrepreneur and business owner, I appreciate the mindset and work ethic that Austin demonstrated. Arrived an hour and a half before closing with a reservation and the customer service was solid. The shop was busy with customers and work was being done non-stop. My tire had a slow leak and they patched it up within the hour at a very reasonable price.

I have been coming here for years. They are so professional and accommodating. Last week I had to get a lot done on my car. I came back this week because I didnt realize that my wheels need to be balanced. Now, my car is riding smoothly thanks to ETD Discount Tire Center.

Let me start off by saying that I researched a great deal before my final decision to go to EDT. I hit a pothole and had to be towed to the nearest BMW dealership as there was no other choice. Needless to say, they obviously ripped me off royalty, as expected. Having a brand new tire, I realized I should probably get the other 3 replaced as well. EDT was by far the most professional and well priced. Nick was super knowledgeable. He came out to my car and measured my tires to make sure they really needed to be replaced. He was honest and even told me that one of the tires was still in good shape and that I should keep it in case of an emergency, especially on a weekend when many tire shops are closed. Nick was understanding and more than happy to answer my many questions. I felt super confident that he knew what he was talking about, which is important for me since anything car related isn’t my strong suit. I didn’t feel pressured to purchase anything, and Nick made sure he explained everything in layman’s terms before I made my decision.All in all, Nick has made my experience at EDT pleasant and worth while. I will definitely be returning to EDT and will refer others as well! Nick for store manager!!!

Prompt, Professional, Quality Service from the team over in Clifton today. Had a flat tire that needed attending to and the took me right in, assessed if the tire could or couldnt be repaired first, then offered up a selection of tires to choose from to get me back in my car and driving off in no time. I had an emergency situation with one of my front tires so I called Mike at ETD at 9:45AM. I discussed my situation and what I need, Mike put all his efforts right away to help me out, not only he explained which tires would be good according to my car, what will the price and how soon he can get it. I needed to hit the road by 12:30PM on the same day, he assured everything will be done before that. I drop off the damaged tire, and got back in the shop about 2 hours later. Mike was super helpful and nice, he did what he promised. Amazing guys and great service.

The past summer I had a few issues with my car - one thing led to another. To make a long story short, something fell off a truck in front of me, and flew into my car as I was driving 70 mph. I had no choice but to either swerve into the car next to me, or drive over it. So here at ETD, it all started with a flat tire change. After the tire change, I/we noticed there were a few other concerning issues, which ETD tires was able to resolve. Great customer service from Austin, Mike, and Ray (I believe this is his name if iirc). Unfortunately, I did pay quite a bit of money but expected as a BMW owner. ;) The whole situation could of been a lot worse. Thanks, guys!

I first met ETD/Nick after the dealer who sold me my German car wanted an excessive amount of money to change my breaks. A friend of mine told me to first speak with Nick. Glad I did. I now have for life a mechanic I trust. Nick pointed out that although my car’s COMPUTER indicated a break job was necessary...my breaks were actually fine. Nick could have easily taken my money back then. Although he got nothing from me when we first met, he’s earned my lifetime business. Every time I need tires or I feel unsafe in my car, Nick gives me an honest thorough assessment and gets me the best prices he can find. So many people out in the world trying to get their hands in your pocket. I’m so thankful I met Nick and his team at ETD Clifton. They help me sleep at night me knowing my family is safe when driving the vehicles we entrust in ETD for repair and maintenance. I’m happy to write this review. I went here and my experience wasnt so great but Austin made sure my complaints were heard and addressed. I was a happy customer leaving! Bumpy start but at least i was recognized and treated fair. I would reccomend work here for tires just not mechanical issues.

When I went for my wheel alignment appointment at 1:30, I waited until 4:00 and picked up my vehicle again at 4:12. I paid $ 130 in return and unfortunately I couldnt see any professionalism when I said the same problems continued the next day.

First timer here. Tommy helped me out, super friendly guy made me feel right at home. Standard oil change with reasonable fee. They have a big customer base and seem to be reliable. I spoke to a couple of the regulars there and clientele are willing to travel far (Connecticut, Brooklyn). Will be coming backPS They have a waiting room with free wifi and a phone charging station.

PERFECT 5 stars for this establishment! Even during COVID, they were still exceptional and helpful. I thoguht there was something wrong with my tire because of the low tire pressure light so I took my car in. They took their time checking each tire and even removed a very small nail. End result -- no charge-- I just had too much air in one of my tire.Not many places (especially now) woud be so kind to do this. Also, the staff was professional & knowledgeable. Customer Service at its best!If I move, I will still drive miles to come back here.

Ive always been very satisfied with the work they do on my car. The guys are friendly and answer all my questions thoroughly. I always feel like Im treated fair and with respect. Whenever I have an issue I know I can just walk in anytime, although making an appointment saves time. Ive bought my tires here on numerous occasions and the warranty is always worth it. Being a first-time Tesla owner, Im very picky at who I choose to service my car and hands down I was totally satisfied with the service that I was treated with Tim, Tom, Art and the whole crew workers, also Im satisfied and relieved that ETD Discount Tires offer road hazard warranty on previous owned tires since my car was fairly new, they will honor your tires through the factory, even if you didnt buy tires through them and if the conditions are in good standards... Now Im able to drive with the confidence that my tires now are covered through ETD Discount Tires versus Tesla not offering road hazard warranty coverage on the tires or rims but ETD Discount Tires road hazard ONLY covers the tires, but not the rims just so that youre clear of that...Definitely worth every penny I believe I paid about $45 for the road hazard warranty on a tire through Michelin that cost about $350, you dont need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out, so I highly highly recommend getting road hazard coverage on your tires specially Tesla owners I will be spreading out the word to other buyers...Drive Safety!! 😎

Ive been coming to EDT in Clifton for many years now.....although the faces change the service remains excellent! Several times over the years EDT could have taken advantage of me for extra work, however many times Ive been told that a part still looks good and that I can wait for a while on it. If they do believe a part needs to be replaced they will give you the full story. An example is that I knew my brakes needed attention, Alex recommended that I change the rotors, I asked about that and he relayed that rotors can get thin, and thin rotors when heated can warp which leads to bad breaking. Since my daughter will soon be driving this car I really appreciated the explanation. Ive been a customer for over years and they continue to get my business.

Nick is always amazing and the staff is very pleasant. He is always efficient, he does everything right the first time, never tries to sell you or be the typical mechanic who you cant trust. I trust Nick and thats why I keep coming back. Tom is amazing. Best place to go in New Jersey.

I heard many great things about this place from folks in the area. I had a flat and my car was towed here. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. They are all knowledgeable as well. Their prices are fair and the service is great to boot. When my car is in need this is the place I will be returning to!

Weve been using ETD for years and their customer service has always been very good. However, recently their customer service has gone from GOOD to GREAT. They went way beyond what could be expected, in order to get us back on the road again quickly. I have not been here since 2010 due to the mechanics not working consistently in order to solve the main issue in the vehicle. Due to long wait times even with appointments and mechanics always thinking they are right. For example, today I proved to one of the mechanics about the issue I had in my car. He said he did not hear a noise in the engine. I had to sit down in my car and also open the hood of my car to make him listen to it. I knew he felt dumbfounded but yeah lo and behold I heard excellent reviews recently online and also about an individual named, Tom. I had made an appointment earlier during the week to come in today in which I did bright and early at 7 AM. Turns out there was a line already and it seemed like a first come serve basis. The work that I had to do on my car should have taken 2-3 hours at most but ended up being a little more than 6 hours. I was not too happy until something happened. Today I was finally able to meet the man, the myth, the legend (TOM) and I was not disappointed. He spoke to me professionally and assisted me step by step with the situation with great communication skills and great customer service skills. Tom went above and beyond to help me and I really appreciate his hard work. I was nervous coming back here after 8 years but I would like to say after meeting Tom I will return. Without Tom this place would crumble to the ground. I commend him for his very hard work and will come back again. SO PRETTY MUCH THIS 5 STAR IS FOR YOU! :)

Very nice people. Polite. Speedy and cost effective place especially for alignment. They are under costco auto program so good discount is on offer.

Best experience at a tire shop/mechanic they are really fast with what they do and really good. Definitely not going to any other place for tires from here on out THEY ARE THE BEST !!

I have been going to ETD in Clifton for over 10 years, from fluid replacement (Trans, differential, anti-freeze to oil changes) and engine code repair. Always a pleasure to go there, they will go out of there way to find the cause and deliver the solution. Great service with reasonable prices, they can save you a good amount on tires, brakes and regular oil changes. Try them out you will be greatly satisfied.

I cant believe how great these people are. Nick is my new favorite person. They treated me well, were friendly, the price was reasonable and they made sure while I was comfortable while I waited, which was a very short time. Ill go back gladly.

Great experience today! Tommy worked with me on new rims, tires & brakes for my car and did an awesome job! Very knowledgeable staff and the service technician Hugo was great as well! I highly recommend getting your car serviced here! My father has been coming here for years and has me coming here now as well.

Made an appointment and when I showed up for it not only did the 7 guys at the counter ignore me for a solid 2 minutes (and no, they werent busy helping other customers) ...I still had to explain all the same stuff wed talked about over the phone ...asked for a simple tire patch which instead of being reassuring or just checking the tires to see if a patch is possible he goes on about why its probably not ...anyway not at all helpful or confidence inspiring so I took it to a small owner operated shop in montclair, no appointment they took at a look at it, found two other nails patched all 3 and I couldnt be happier. Likely will never consider ETD again due to the poor costumer service. I highly recommend finding any other owner-operated shop bc its better for your local community anyway (plus youre more likely to get a service professional that actually cares :)

Being new to NJ I was in need of a trustworthy place to bring me car. I had a great experience at ETD Discount Tire Center. The service is great and extremely thorough. I originally went for a simple oil change, but learned that due to replacing a single tire in the past my alignment was off and was in need of new tires due to the wear. Tommy took the time to show me the tires and discuss what options I had. He gave me options for tire replacements and provided the ones on sale. Moreover he provided additional discounts as I was a AAA member. I would highly recommend ETD Discount Tire Center because the staff are friendly, trustworthy, and always willing to explain everything they are doing with frequent updates throughout. They do get busy so I recommend getting there early when they open if possible.

Been coming here for years.. I have brought at least 2 different cars. I try to make an appt when I can (usually through email), but Ive also been able to just walk in. So grateful for their help! Honest and always do their best help. Ive referred several people here, and Ive never heard any complaints.

I walked into the shop yesterday telling them that my tire popped on the interstate and that I have to drive back to work in Long Island, NY by the afternoon and Nick kindly helped me!! Although his shop was full with cars that needed to be worked on and what would’ve been a two hour wait he asked his main technician to change my tire right away. I really appreciate the service and the discount as well! All you Cliftoners and surrounding cities they are the place to go!!

Customer service was amazing!!! Tommy gave me advice, wasnt trying to sell me the most expensive tires, he gave me options and an opinion based on his expertise. I came in at 8am, my tires had to be ordered. Tires arrived before the hour. Highly recommend ETD. I bought tires, but will go back in the future.

Good service.i suggest you drop your car off though unless you dont mind waiting for 2 hours. By the time you purchase the tires plus the labor plus taxes plus old tire disposal oh yea and theres also a tire tax besides the regular tax and then they check if you need a wheel alignment and of course your always gonna need a wheel alignment so after all that it can get expensive. Other than that nice tire center!

Awesome place. Came to change all 6 tires on my Chevy box truck and they were able to do it. Best part is they balanced them and mounted them and it was all done in a timely manner. A++

I always have the greatest experience here but this last time Nick, Tom, and the entire staff outdid themselves! They were all patient and kind to me - not always something you see toward a woman in a stereotypical man’s world. They answered all of my questions and genuinely listened to every detail of what I was telling them. Nick even checked on my car himself to look for more possible issues AND put in a call to Autozone for me because I wanted to purchase a portable jump starter. Everyone was all hands on deck for my car. They treated me like family and I can’t thank them enough. I have also purchased tires from them and will continue to get oil changes here too. Great people and great service!
