I recently purchased an ID.4 from Gensinger and found it to be a great experience. They kept in close contact throughout the process and provided me with updates and on the day where I went to pick-up my car, everything was ready to sign and drive.Highly recommend stopping here to consider a purchase. Staff was top notch. They even called me a week later to see how everything was going and if I needed anything.

10/10 experience leasing a brand new car from here. Every other dealership I’ve gone to in the past 2 weeks they push you to get a car even if you don’t like the number they come back with. Armen is a fantastic sales person and made the process of getting a new car actually enjoyable. The GM Ken was also very pleasing throughout the process. Will most certainly be returning to Gensinger in the future.

I shouldve known better than to go back to this place. I walked in ready to buy a car and perhaps since I was a woman on my own no one approached me. Stayed a good half hour and then left to buy my car at another place. Just recently, I had a problem with my car and brought it there for service. Its too long to detail but one of the worst experiences Ive ever had. Do not go to this dealership for buying or servicing a car.

I have been coming to Gensinger for two years now to have my VW Beetle serviced on a regular basis. I want to give a special shout out to Moe, who has gone above and beyond on my recent visit. My car had a difficult to diagnose issue related to the range of the keyless entry system. Moe personally tested the functionality and concurred that it was not normal, then managed the entire process to have the issue fixed under warranty. I am very pleased with how Moe handled everything and how he clearly communicated every step in the process to me over a few phone calls. It is people like Moe who make the difference between this and other VW dealerships, and based on this and my past experiences, I will be coming back to Gensinger for all my future car related needs. Thank you Moe!

On our family trip we were unexpectedly caught in hurricane Ida and our brand new VW Atlas was flooded and not drivable. Being from out of town a colleague of my husband’s recommended Gensinger and we are absolutely glad he did. Paul in the service department was AMAZING on every level. He got our car back to us as soon as he possibly could keeping us updated every step of the way while also dealing with our insurance company. He’s got a great sense of humor while trying to juggle many things in his department. Being from out of town, a completely different state at that, this process of repair was made very easy due to the hard work of Paul and his colleagues. I wish we had a Paul at our local VW service center! Thank you Paul and everyone at Gensinger VW!

Do not go here! I bought a 2019 Beetle and the salesperson told me there were features in the car that werent there. I have taken my car for oil changes etc for two years and I have never once had a positive experience. The service department was unprofessional and clueless. It took 9am - 5pm for them to complete an oil change. When I asked for another problem to be looked (which I made that request when I booked the appointment two weeks before) When I Called at 5:20 to see what the hold up was to pick up the car the person on the phone said she didnt think they actually looked at it and to leave it overnight. They are just not honest people and lack integrity. LOVE MY BEETLE but I am never going back to this dealership again.

The cars we looked at were beautiful but the sales person was nasty. His first words on lease price was high 500s for an atlas. Must be smoking that good stuff lol- in terms of cars Recommend The atlas or the new electric just don’t get it at this place- The guy literally wouldn’t show me any features and was annoyed that I don’t care or know anything about cylinders. It was like a super major hassle for him to show me how to open the sunroof and he just didn’t even show me. Super excited and sold on my own so hire better people I guess. Also quoted me high 500s for the atlas when it’s like $350 every where else- basically begging you to leave the store

We just bought a 2021 Tiguan from Gensinger and had the best experience working with Aika! She was extremely attentive, patient and kind throughout the entire experience. She answered all of our questions with honesty and transparency, and was overall so pleasant to work with. We received a very fair price for our trade-in and were so pleased with how quick and efficient the process was. We were at the dealership for less than an hour on the day we bought the car and basically signed the paperwork, was given a tour of the technology package from Aika, and were on our way! We highly recommend!!

Parts manager and mechanics are incompetent, they ran a diagnostic on my vehicle and said it needed a new transmission on a vehicle with less than 50k miles. So I took it to my own mechanic and found out it was just a loose belt!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! THEY DONT CARE AT ALL ABOUT CUSTOMERS . Worst manager at the “parts” department.I went there looking for a sensor . They didn’t have it in store so he just order it for me from other store. Happens that I didn’t need the sensor any more (i found out that 1 hour later ) .When I called back they said that there’s not refund in any special order or electrical . They never told me that . Not even a warning. The response of the manager was “ all my customers know that is like that “ “ the information is on the receipt“ “You ordered, i can’t returned (they don’t even have it .like I said,they just requested it an hour ago “How I am going to know if the receipt was given to me after the purchase ??? .They don’t care at all about the customers. They definitely took advantage of me. So basically if you don’t know much about cars or how dealers play dirty don’t even go to this place .

I can’t say enough great things about Armen. I had gone to a couple of vw dealerships in NJ because of the low inventory and I went with gesinger mainly because of Amen. I loved the fact that it didn’t feel like a shark was coming to attack you when I approached him. He answered all of my questions over email, then my husband went to see the car in person. He also was very detailed and gave us the best car “tour” showing us all the features the car has. Will definitely come back and refer my friends and family to this dealer. Ah, and his manager was also great (sorry forgot his name )

Unfortunately I have to give this dealership one star to write this review, they don’t even deserve one star. I’ve been going back and forth with them to fix mu atlas. Its been with them I don’t know how many times and they haven’t been able to fix it, the first time they put new part but the problem wasn’t fix so they said the part was defective, second time the guy who ordered the part was on vacation so they didn’t know where the part was, the third time they said that they changed the part but the problem wasn’t fixed again. They are not professional at all, THE WORST dealership I’ve dealt with. Save yourself from a headache and go to other dealership. I ended up going to another dealership and they fixed the problem the first time.

I paid $40 for two pair of shorts at Kohls.I couldnt find my receipt to return them, so they only gave me back $6.16 per pair. Thats $12.32, I lost $28.00, and the pants still had all the tags on them. Ill never go back to you. African lady was very mean

The experience was really bad. I took my 2013 Passat for trade-in they only offer me $800 and she told me we have 2021 Tiguan used for a good price however she came with $440 monthly for 72 months. Its just like a joke. Unfortunately, I have to give this dealership one star to write this review, they don’t even deserve one star as well.After I See their comment I would like to tell more and explain this store to everyone. I went to another VW dealer they gave me $3500 for my car in the same state (NJ)and the KIA car company gave me $5000 for my car. I have proof of the picture to show them. However, I would like to explain their Business Ethic (Gensinger VW). I didnt see this anywhere else in other countries and states. When I was looking for that car on this day I like the car and I was serious to buy that used car, then I went out to the showroom and go out to the see car before sign anything to show my wife and family, they were showing the same car to another people. I was shocked and I understand how they are doing this business. Go find another VW dealer.

Dropped my car off for confirmed same day service this morning- they did not call me when it was done and left for the weekend at 1pm instead of the 5pm per hours listed. Just called and got someone on from sales, they confirmed work was done but absolutely could not do anything to release my car. Please be ready with a substantial discount on services for the huge inconvenience of taking my transportation for the rest of the day, all day Sunday, and into Monday preventing me from getting supplies before work let alone getting there on time.

We just went home with a brand new Atlas and we had a great experience at Gensinger. I had gone into to get information and test drive before my current lease on a Chevy was up. Armen answered all of my questions and was able to find us the Atlas we wanted at the price we wanted. Armen was up front with us and remained patient with all of our questions. Do not go to this Volkswagen!!! They have had my car in and out of the shop 5x for the same problem over the last 18 months. Then decide on the 6th time that they were no longer going to honor their warrantee. Original problem was 3rd gear synchro. Instead of just putting a whole new 6speed in the car, management thought it would be a good idea to invest hundreds of man hours to try to “rebuild” a genuine vw part. It did not work! They expect their mechanics to be able to take apart a complex component like a vw transmission. This is not a Transmission shop! Paul is rude and has unreal expectations. I called a few days ago after having a loner car for over 3 months. To try to find out if I’m ever getting my car back. Paul comes on the phone who is the new manager. And tells me that they are not honoring the warrantee any more. That I have to have my car “towed” out of vw. Grainger motors/ Volkswagen destroyed the transmission. Now they expect me to just “accept” the ruined final product back. This has been a complete nightmare for almost 2 years with this company. And still going on. SAVE YOURSELF the time and headache and go some where else!

Brought in my 2019 Tiguan for a check engine light issue after scheduling the appointment through VWs customer care hotline. I will definitely be using them again for any servicing. I dropped off the Tiguan in the morning. They gave no promises on when I would be able to get my car back but were professional and managed expectations. I got a call back later that day saying the repair was complete and I could pick up well before they closed at 6. Professional and reliable.

Experience was horriable. I took my 2013 tiguan in march and spent 2300 on repairs and the original problem still there so again i took back and when i ask to speak to the owner the service manger said that the owner retired and he was the only person to talk to shop did not perform the work that i paid for and they did not perform a combustion test as they said because i but tourque paint on engine cover and when i got the vehicle back the cover was never removed. so i paid 2300 for a misdiagnoise and not evan an appolagy was given

I would highly recommend Gensinger Volkswagen . From the time I walked in the showroom and was greeted by Arman it was a wonderful experience .He greeted us as soon as we arrived, not making us wait or ignoring us as the big car dealerships had. He gave us the time we needed to look around but was available as soon as we needed him. Arman was great and helped us pick the right car for us. He explained all the differences between the models so we could choose the one that fit our needs. He explained our options for financing as well. Stay away. If I could give them zero stars I would. We leased a car from them and recently went through the process of buying the leased car. Aika was completely unhelpful and uninformed during the whole process. She promised to email me information about what to bring for the purchase then never did so when I showed up I had to go to the bank to get a certified check.Then she made me purchase new plates which I later discovered was unnecessary for my situation. When I went back for help, she and everyone in the place including the manager was rude and dismissive unwilling to help me cancel the purchase of the plates or refund my money. I could go on. They may be nice when they want to sell you a car but if you have any problems they are the opposite of customer friendly.Addendum:You see their reply below but despite their claiming that they will take great efforts to resolve any dispute, when I went to get help with my issue with the plates that were never supposed to be ordered in the first place they did nothing to help me they were only incredibly insultingly rude and dismissive. So do not believe a word.

The service to my vehicle was completed to my satisfaction. Unfortunately I have an issue with the policies regarding the discount offers that I received via email. I received an email offering 20% discount off of my next service visit. The fine print states the discount does not apply to special offers. I was told by the technician that the published price on the standard oil change is a special offer. This special offer is NOT listed on your website, and I have been bringing my vehicle in for oil changes at Gensinger for more than 5 years; the price has ALWAYS been $69.95. Im at a loss to understand how this is a special offer. Whether intended or not, I feel duped by a bait & switch tactic and was not happy with the outcome. I am generally happy with the service I receive @ Gensinger (which is why I keep returning), but this needs to be called out to management as a bad business practice.

About to put down my deposit and all the sudden over the phone the numbers raised $5,000 more to what we agreed to. He said them real fast hoping I wouldnt hear. Poor business model. Truly atrocious! My husband and I went into Gensinger after visiting other Volkswagen dealerships. We were greeted by Aika, she was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the car that we were looking at Tiguan 2020 SE. We knew exactly what we wanted and she was able to give us the car that we wanted and worked with our price range. When I went to pick up my car she sat with me and explained the car and all it’s features and made sure I left feeling comfortable. Walked in to see a car since lease was up in a couple of months and we dont wait till last minute since we had a few cars in mind. The elder sales person whos desk is right by the front door-think his name was Armin, was very rude out the door when we walked in. Then he states the car we were interested in was not available and only one was ready for pickup, even though we checked online and there was one in stock. We asked him again and low and behold he did have the vehicle. We stated we were still in a lease and was just shopping to see numbers but then he didnt want to be bothered with us once we told him we still had a lease. I have been leasing vehicles for over 20 years and payments can be rolled over into new leases. I am a 40yr old Asian who still looks young along with my wife. Seemed like he didnt want to bother with us at all thinking we were young and probably couldnt handle the lease payment. Never in our life with dealing with many dealers for leasing vehicles that we have been treated like this and even felt this way. I would not recommend this dealer ever. There is a way to treat/speak to people no matter what the situation is-if you are a sales person, you should know how to speak with any person regardless of age, sex, nationality, etc. The dealer themselves should be held accountable also since they hired this person.

I really enjoyed my experience as a first time VW buyer at Gensinger. Upon entering the location to take a look at a potential car, I was greeted immediately. I didn’t have an appointment, but it was of no issue. I was able to quickly test drive the car of my interest and start the buying process. Turns out, I was purchasing my car from the owner of the dealership, himself! Ken was such a kind and caring person to deal with. We just leased an atlas with Armen. I went in to see the car with my 4 year old son as I had been shopping around. We quickly chatted and he gave me what I knew was a great number. It took a few weeks to get back in with my husband but Armen kept in touch regularly. When we came back, my husband also loved the car and we decided to move forward. The process was smooth and seamless, and everyone at Gensinger was very kind and welcoming, especially with our tag along 4 year old (thank you covid). We went back the next day to pick up the car which was ready for us, no waiting around. Armen went over the the settings and functions and we were on our way. The staff at Gensinger Volkswagen is fantastic! I mean just walking in the door with a warm welcome, did it for me. Armen then helped me decide on the truck of my dreams. I got a car from Gensinger Volkswagen a few years ago. It was far and away the worst car dealership experience of my life. While I was happy with the vehicle. The salesman we dealt with Armen was not only difficult to work with, he outright lied to us twice. When we were pricing the vehicle he lied and said, “If I ask finance to run the numbers you can’t leave after that.” That was lie #1. Lie #2 was when he told me the vehicle I got came with all weather floor mats, which would be nice in the winter. When I came to pick up the vehicle the next day mysteriously the all weather mats that were previously in it had disappeared. When I asked him what happened to the mats he said and I quote, “oh this model doesn’t come with those mats.” That’s what I had enough I started arguing with him right outside in front on the dealership, calling him out on his lies. At that point the owners daughter happened to pull up in front and asked what was happening. When I explained the situation to her she pulled the salesman inside and then returned shortly after with our mats and apologized on his behalf and said “I’m so sorry please enjoy your car.” All of this happened on top of the fact that the salesman outright refused to sell me the car with a full tank of gas. He said, “oh we stopped doing that years ago, we only give half a tank.” Long story short, while I don’t hold it against Gensinger for Armen’s actions. They are complicit because I’m sure I’m not the only one that had a horrible experience with him. Buyer beware, I’d advise taking your Volkswagen business elsewhere.

Horrible customer service! Agreed to a price on a car that they did not have on the lot. Armen, my sales rep said it shouldn’t take longer than 4 days to have one ready for me to pick up. Paid a deposit and waited for the call when ready for pick up. After the fourth day, I try contacting Armen, went to voicemail. A few hours later he texts me to call him. I call him immediately. He tells me they can not locate a car because all 2020 models are sold out. Considering that we had a signed contract, it sounded like a personal problem. I was very annoyed that he didn’t reach out to let me know he can’t find a car. I told him I needed this car by the end of the week because my lease was ending on Friday. He offered to sell me FWD (I paid for an AWD) offered a gray car, I was specific in wanting a black car, and lastly he offered to sell me a 2021 model. All to which I said no because those were not the cars I wanted in the first place. I called the general manager, Tim, who was so unprofessional! Usually, dealers will work with you and bite the bullet if they can’t deliver their end of the contract. This dealership did not offer that. Tim ended up hanging up on me. I would never recommend buying a car from this dealership! I ended up paying for a deposit and not getting a car at all because they couldn’t deliver their service.

We had a wonderful experience at this dealership! We had been searching for the right car for our daughter, and went to many others and this one was the best experience by far. Laura went out of her way to make the process quick and smooth. Other dealerships are not even close to the customer service and professionalism here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mens Bathroom did not have soap. No sign of hand sanitizer in the showroom. No loaner car available if my car was to kept for further diagnosis as they could not find any error code even though gas gauge showed Empty on a full tank of gas. Service dept. was clueless. Everyone was polite though.

Do no waste your time and money and go somewhere else. I went there last Saturday and requested an oil change and tire rotation. My car was ready in 40 minutes!!!!!! They claimed that they did perform an oil change, tire rotation and the sunroof recall. No way they would be able to do it in 40 minutes. I did put hidden marks on my tires and they did not rotate them. My oil level was at minimum. This make me question if they did anything to my car and charging 140$.

Had a great experience buying a beautiful Blue Tiguan here! We were greeted by Josue who took us from hello to handing us the keys, he did an exceptional job of showing us a bunch of cars, answering all our (rapid fire) questions, and getting us finished up quickly. Its fun to see all the mounted trophy fish in main room too, cool eye candy. Mr. Gensinger Jr. helped us finalize the paperwork, super nice guy, and overall it was a low pressure, very pleasant experience. Definitely recommended.

I was at the dealer to buy oil filter housing for my 06 passat I read the reviews yes 100 percent they are friendly, I will get my future oil changes from here I have been going to vw jack Daniels for years worst dealer in the country rude and not professional they messed up my oil filter housing by over torquing it, I am a mechanic for more than ten years have worked on those Passats n BMW everyday I know about these cars in and out no one can just throw a story at me I dont have a lift otherwise I do my own service I am reluctant to let anybody touch my car but since i observed Ginsinger dealership is friendly and family operation I will definitely give it a shot .

Dealership service centers get a bad rep—people think of them as sleazy places where your service “advisor” is out to get you by charging you for things you don’t actually need just so they can make money. Let me start by saying Gensinger Motors is the EXACT opposite of that. While it was never my intention to test this out, the story I’m about to share is a true testament to just how much Gensinger cares about their customers.My 2018 Tiguan recently experienced an unfortunate situation: while driving, I suddenly heard a loud noise and ultimately the vehicle stopped moving. Luckily I was able to pull over. Long story short, the ball joint on the front right wheel assembly had dislocated causing the axle to dislodge (read: the wheel was free to move on its own, separate from the rest of the wheels—bad news). The car was not driveable, so it had to be towed. First, AAA towed it from the side of the road to a local shop where the problem was diagnosed. From there, VW Roadside Assistance towed it to the nearest VW dealership (while I won’t name the dealership, to be clear, it was NOT Gensinger). Once there, after sitting for 3 days, they finally had the chance to look at the car. In those three days, I did some research and found out that there was a recall on some 2018 Tiguans in which the nut that secured the ball joint may not have been tightened correctly and could result in the ballpoint dislocating (sounds familiar). While my specific vehicle wasn’t included in the recall, it affected other vehicles made in the same period in which my vehicle was produced. Despite this, the first dealership told me it would be at least $5200 to fix and would not be covered under warranty as it was the result of an “external event” (kissing a curb 6 months ago). Unwilling to accept that brushing against a curb could cause such significant damage, I called VW corporate and spent over a week arguing with them about this. In their defense, the only source of information they have about the state of the car comes from the dealership where it was, which, suffice it to say, was certainly not advocating for me. Knowing that the quote they gave me was definitely “padded,” I ultimately decided to get a second opinion. This meant having the car towed somewhere else...Having read positive reviews of Gensinger, I reached out to them. I spoke with Brian who gave me the name of a towing company they work with, but he suggested that I first try VW Roadside since that would be free. While they don’t generally tow from one dealership to another, he said it was worth a shot. Sure enough, they were willing to do it (at least $100 saved, likely more). They were able to look at the car within 24 hours of its arrival at the shop. He called and informed me that it “wasn’t actually that bad.” I hadn’t told Brian anything specific about what the previous dealer had said. He told me it would be between $1400-1500 total to fix. When I told Brian that the other dealership quoted me $5200 he was, needless to say, surprised. He then told me that he wanted to see if he could get this covered under warranty, despite me telling him that we’d tried on our own. He suggested I gather some documentation, and after many calls to VW on his end, he was able to get them to cover it. So to recap, the first place said no warranty and $5200, Gensinger said $1500 and fought for me to not pay a penny. Sure enough, in the end, I didn’t have to pay anything. If this isn’t a testament to how much Brian and his team at Gensinger prioritize the customer over profit, I don’t know what is. Despite the fact that there are 3 or 4 dealerships closer to my home, I will absolutely go to Gensinger for any service in the future.

1 star only because I had to! I purchased my Volkswagen touareg from this dealership in 2010. I hadnt had any major issues until I noticed the smell of gas in my vehicle. I have 2 small children whose seats are above the gas tank. Volkswagen, at the time told me that there was no recall for any such complaint. I took the vehicle to Gensinger motors (where I purchased it) to have the problem for the smell of gas inside of my vehicle rectified. They fixed a fuel rail and some other things totaling $1,212 and change. I had to charge it because I did not have that kind of money. The smell of gas persisted so I took it back after my boyfriend discovered the problem on you tube and they fixed the exact issue which costed about $375 dollars or so. To make matters worse about a year later there was a recall for the fuel flange, which was the cause of the smell of gas...Ive contacted them to refund the $1,212 and change they took from me as it was not the cause of my complaint. They have refused to get back to me. I will be taking this further.

I have been to a handful of dealers in the area and Gensinger is the only dealer that i will bring my car to going forward.This was the second time ive gone there and the service was no different from the first. Edgar, was exceptionally kind and understanding. He was completely transparent and anything you needed to know he would help you and was patient while doing so.The work done on the car was quality work. Ive been feeling disconnected to my car lately but after Matt worked on it i have fallen in love with my car all over again, shes running like a top.I felt like part of the family there, its the only real way to describe it. I look forward to servicing my other vehicle there soon.

I’ve been a VW owner and enthusiast since I could touch the pedals. Just purchased a ‘20 Tiguan for my wife. The General Manager ( Kevin) I believe was his name, outstanding professional manners and communication. While we were going thru the paper work, I decided to head over to the service department and talk to the guys about getting few things done to my wife’s previous car: ‘13 Jetta. Brian the manager was outstanding in handling all the info and making sure everything was done. Kelvin was also one of the service members that worked out the prices for me. I had recently went to another VW dealer, won’t blast them here. They over priced all the things I needed done. These guys basically cut them in half. Which was one of the reason I just left the keys there without thinking about twice! Note: my wife’s AC didn’t work for a year, we had it charged twice and still didn’t work. Found out I needed a compressor, those things alone are in mid $600. Brian had worked it out to fix my current compressor and change the valve and I tell you, I can’t put the AC higher than one. My face is frozen.. All in all, this is the place I will be going to from now on. I would highly recommend anyone to go here.
