Had my first visit today. Another well-regarded independent hardware store, that shall not be named, completely messed up the spare keys I needed made for my new apartment. Went to Cedar Center HW and had three perfectly working sets of keys for my family and myself ten minutes later. Will be back for my other hardware needs.

I have been going to them for years and years. It is my first stop (as opposed to going to a superstore) because of the friendly and honest service, no matter how small my need might be. It is really comforting that I can go to a place to ask how to take of a repair correctly and get the right hardware for the job without feeling intimidated. They are the best!

I love shopping here for the one on one service. Im opposed to the big box stores. Ive been a customer for over 20 years. However yesterday I had an issue. I was buying some screening material. I showed the gentleman the measurements 46 inch by 50 inches. The service was prompt. However when I got home I realized the width was only 36 inches. Due to Covid 19, I cant return the material. Ill chalk this up as an honest mistake. This will not prevent me from shopping there again, Ill just be more careful.

Amazing! They have so much inventory and in such a little space. Service is above and beyond, consistently. Way better than going to one of the giant chains where nobody knows where anything is and you have to walk for 15 minutes to find what you want. Owner is fabulous as ids all of the staff and I give them my business as often as possible.

Cedar Center Hardware its like the old Mam and Pap places and is completely stuffed with stock, but in order to find what you need you need to talk or ask the people who work there. the owner and the people who work there are very knowledgeable when it comes to all types of household things that you might need during the all year.

Prices are surprisingly close to the big box stores and Amazon, and best of all you can get in and out of the store in minutes and treated with respect. Highly recommend forgetting about Home Depot and Lowe’s and just shop here.

Leans more toward the old-school hardware store than the big box stores. For me, this is a good thing. They generally have what Im looking for, even when its an odd thing (I have an old, odd house).And their staff is good, too. Ive come in with a piping problem, we build it there in the store and then take it apart to find out the price. Very flexible.Did I mention they do screens, too?

These gentlemen have helped​ me diagnose more than one issue and have helped me save money by not leading me on to buy unnecessary parts. Businesses like this are hard to come by nowadays. I was told I could return an item if it didn’t fit only to be told when I returned it that it couldn’t be returned.The reason was that it was dirty (which it could’ve easily been wiped down and restored to new) there was no way to not get it dirty by trying to screw it in. By trying to screw it in I got screwed.

I had driven by Cedar Center Hardware many times but never went in. The water line to my refrigerator sprung a leak, and I had to replace it. In the process, I managed to mangle the brass fittings that connected on the fridge end, trying to separate them from each other and the old tubing. I called Frigidaire to see if I could order replacement parts. It wasnt even certain that the parts they were quoting were the parts I needed. One was $.78 cents. The other $25!! I was about to head to Home Depot to see if I could locate these small plumbing parts, but I sensed that would be a fiasco. I knew I would probably never find them on my own, and finding a knowledgeable (or any) employee to help seemed about as futile, based on past experience. I decided to give Cedar Center Hardware a try. What a great decision!I was amazed by how many items they had in what I thought was a small store. Not one, but two people (the owner Lenny and based on their website I believe the store manager Ken, if it was someone else I apologize) helped me right away! They quickly diagnosed what parts I needed, and found them in their bins. They took the time to show me how everything should go together. They were friendly and helpful the whole time. All of that great customer service, and my total cost was $.84 cents! I felt guilty, paying so little for such awesome service and help. I was so impressed with the great customer service they provided for such a small sale. The parts worked beautifully, and the ice maker and water dispenser on my fridge are back up and running. While they didnt make much profit on that sale, they won a repeat customer for life. I will use them for all of my future hardware needs, and highly recommend anyone else do so as well!
