The place is really pretty, good service, but the cupcake we tried wasnt amazing. In overall a good experience... And in their defense we only tried one cupcake... The blue velvet. Need to give it a second chance. Great ambiance.

Ill have to agree with the other recent reviews that the cupcakes just arent that great and especially for the cost of $5 per cupcake. Even the water bottles were $3! Do price aside, the cupcakes were dry and nothing amazing. But the staff was nice and the decor of the place is really fun. So... maybe go here, split a cupcake and take some pictures.

The decor is fun, and the location is fab, but dont go spending $5 a cupcake if you expect a good treat! This is not worth the calories. If youre going for location, ambiance, service, or gram pics, then fine. However, if youre counting cals or coins, you should go elsewhere. Frankly, Heinens grocer had better treats IMO.

Ordered 2 cupcakes off Doordash. The red velvet and the raspberry lemon. Packaging 10/10, overall look and asthetic of the cupcakes 10/10. Taste 2/10 so so so very dry. Made it really difficult to eat because of how dry it was and the frosting was just meh. Definitely not worth the price.

The cupcakes are made from the same batter. The flavor changes are made in the frosting, not the cake. Example: No strawberries in Strawberry Cream Cupcake. Exact same cupcake as Vanilla Cupcake with different frosting. The Vanilla Cupcake is an average yellow cake with the vanilla flavor in the frosting. I dont want flavored frosting. I want a great tasting cake made from a variety of interesting batters.

This was my first experience at Colossal and I was BLOWN AWAY! Decided on a whim to get a sweet treat for my birthday and left with a 6 pack box of cupcakes and three macaroons. The atmosphere is, okay, it’s adorable. Reminds me of a life sized dollhouse and the gold themed vending machine is very eye catching. Lots of great photo ops that I wish we would’ve taken advantage of. The gentleman at the counter was incredibly nice. I’d actually say this is the best customer service I’ve ever received in the city! You get exactly what the name of the establishment suggestions; COLOSSAL sized desserts that come with equally large flavor. The prices are very reasonable for the size of the treats! We will definitely be back!

The cupcakes are dry. The frosting is good but its really all about the cake. I would say Im disappointed. While the cupcakes are big, 1 for $5 or 6 for $26 is way too much for the quality of the cake.

My experience at this shop was pure perfection. Root beer licorice twists. Blueberry pie flavored cotton candy. Boston cream cupcake that was STILL moist and delicious after a day in the refrigerator. Gigantic macarons (we had Cookie Monster and Cotton Candy). And then there was that Chaos Cookie, with potato chips and pretzels and chcolate chips and just hush already and take my money.

I was excited to visit the shop from out of town. Won’t be coming back again. Very disappointed in these cupcakes. Cute shop, but the cupcakes were very dry and the icing was oily and not edible. I spent $30 and even my kids wouldn’t eat the cupcakes. I also bought one macaroon. It was way over baked and crumbled completely when I tried to take a bite of it. I bought five kinds of cupcakes and one macaroon. One bite was taken from each item and the rest was thrown in the trash. I really wanted to like these cupcakes but it was a waste of money. I cannot recommend them.

It was great to revisit this adorable cupcake shop in downtown Cleveland. Im happy to see the new renovations and of course the big blue chair for the photo opp! The cupcakes are displayed so perfectly in the case its hard to choose a favorite youll go home with. Be prepared to leave with a box of them!!

Me and my husband went to this place a while ago. There was a male associate working and I was very happy with his customer service. It was the first time visiting so asked him what flavor is his favorite. This guy was happy to recommend some of the cupcakes.I presonally like Oreo dirt.

I seen Colossal Cupcakes on the news and how the shop was damaged, so I was excited to try it and support the business.I can honestly say the cupcakes were not good at all, I bought 5 and and got 1 free which was around $27. I had 6 different flavors and not 1 was good. Very dry, to much butter flavor in the icing, the cream cheese filling extremely sweet and the flavors are not strong in the cupcakes. Mint chocolate and the lemon both lacked the flavor in the icing and the cupcake. The customer service was great though, but not enough to give higher stars.

I wish I could give a more stars.I would give the shop itself 4.5 stars for the whimsical design, however the cupcakes (which is the shop not the decorative store) are extremely dry, frosting overload making the cupcakes clossal.The cost is $$$ for a single clossal cupcake not worth it for a dry cake, and if you are planning to buy a half dozen or more start saving your $$$$.I will not stop again very dissatisfied & disappointed dry clossal cupcake.

They have very nice new decor but the owner Kelly is very rude and disrespectful. Do not let the fake act that she puts on fool you. She doesn’t pay her employees and treats them poorly. All the money she received from go fund me, insurance and PPP loans, she should be paying her employees. Pay those lady’s Kelly! I wouldn’t recommend spending any money here, until she pays all the workers that she never paid. Shame on you Kelly!

I traveled 2 hours to try these cupcakes and when I got there I had every plan to buy every cupcake left in the display until she acted like she wasn’t looking directly at me and proceeded to help the lady behind me. I rarely ever give out 2 star ratings. Seriously! I wanted to like these cupcakes but they were absolutely disgusting. They dont even taste like cake. I had a strawberry toast cupcake (recommended by one of the workers) and its not good at all. The cake wasnt moist, it crumbled immediately, and tasted like it was 4 days old. Huge disappointment because decor inside was cute and the cupcakes looked good on display. Avoid if you can!

The place was really cute and made for Instagram selfies. The cupcakes were good, not amazing. The staff was okay helpful. It was like pulling teeth to get questions answered. I didnt think they were dry or old tasting. They just didnt taste spectacular. I doubt I would spend as much money as I did, but I might buy one if I really wanted cake.

First time coming, i was wanting cupcakes. Place is very cute and “sweet” looking for girls or any kid that loves sparkles, they even have a cute vending machine. The cupcakes i tried were very pretty but dry and tasteless. The buttercream frosting wasn’t good. I like that the cupcakes aren’t refrigerated but they’re so dry! Also i like drinking milk with my sweets and they dont sell a cup of milk. I wouldnt go back sorry.

Not sure why this place has such a low average review, I thought that were spectacular. They have dozens and dozens of different flavors of cupcakes, which are all absolutely delicious and enormously colossal. You can also get one mixed with ice cream for a milkshake, which is every bit as amazing as it sounds.

Not as good as it used to be. My cupcake was soggy and sopping wet on the bottom and the macaron didn’t have much flavor other than pure sugar. Hopefully they’ll get their groove back but this was a disappointing first visit back

This place was recommended to me by one of my best friends, Stacy. I was intrigued to try it because she truly talks highly about it and loves working there. I honestly couldn’t say there would be a better place to get my cupcakes when I visit in town.

Hard to get lemon and raspberry flavors right, but mine was just perfect. Super succulent, moist and rich... if you dont want a flavorful dessert, why are you ordering cupcakes?!

Highly recommend colossal cupcakes! It is one of the coziest and most unique locations in Cleveland. Best cupcakes and sweets I know of. I have never had a bad experience and always leave wanting more. Go for the lemon cupcake it’s simple yet decadent. Also a huge fan of the carrot, red velvet, strawberry shortcake and pretty much every one I have ever tried. Their cream cheese frosting they have is the best frosting I’ve ever had.

I have to agree with other reviews. I got these as a gift. They were dry, not fresh, the taste of old cupcakes that had been sitting a few days. And the frosting was overpowered with almond extract. Even the peanut butter was filled with almond extract. Seems they use that as the base for every other frosting. Even if the flavors dont mesh. Was weird. I wouldnt order from here. Many other bakeries with FRESH cupcakes, moist, and flavored icing. Try elsewhere. They look cute. But not worth the flavor and poor quality.

We have been here twice while visiting Cleveland. The first time, the cupcakes were so-so. Nothing to rave about. Yesterday we visited again. We bought 5 kinds and they were ALL horrible. My husband, kids, and myself all hated them. We all agreed the frosting was barely edible. I got chocolate. Tasted like it had been sitting in their display for days. The ones with cereal as garnish, the cereal gets soggy and chewy. I will never go back here again.

Cool spot for a little girl. Cupcakes are sugary instead of just sweet. Frosting too buttery. Also staff has no clue what the cake actually contains, probably cause they dont bake them and possibly cause they dont even eat them as they are overwhelming as opposed to crave worthy. Has good potential but not there yet. Cleveland really doesnt have good cupcake options but Campbells is a better option.

This store is ADORABLE!! The girl working was super friendly and helpful!! She was very knowledgeable about all the different cupcake flavors! I didn’t particularly care for the icing, but the cupcakes were beautiful and the staff was wonderful!

I just ate a salted caramel chocolate cupcake, and I was shocked at my first bite. There was so much almond extract in the icing that it ruined the taste of the whole cupcake. The icing was awful! I asked the girl at the counter if the icing had almond extract in it, and she said that it did. I then told her that it was WAY too much extract in it. As I turned around, my sister said that the girl rolled her eyes at me. I really was just trying to let them know that their icing was really bad and should be adjusted. I hate almonds, and I can’t imagine kids eating cupcakes and liking them with fake almond flavoring. My sister and I did not finish our cupcakes, and I don’t think I’ll ever be back. Why pay $5.00 for an awful cupcake AND rude employees?

I ordered a custom birthday cake from this shop and I highly recommend using them for any custom desserts.They were super helpful and very quick! I sent in pictures and color schemes of what I wanted and the finished product turned out so much better than I had imagined!!!

The gluten free cupcakes are great! I recieved half a dozen instead of a birthday cake and i couldnt be more pleased. The cake was flavorful and the icing was just right. Its hard to find a gluten free baked good options and this place makes it easy to satisfy that desire.

Best bakery to do last minute orders! Place an order last night at 11:00pm ( 4 mini platters) so around 240 cupcakes and got them delivered to my office at 10:45am this morning!
