I am on my second car from Grey Epperson hyundai and they have been amazing both times. My last car turned out to have some major issues, and after not such great service from the service department, Billy West and Michael Charles went above and beyond to make up for the bad service and got me in a nicer newer car! I will always turn to this dealership when looking for a vehicle. You can tell they truly care about their customers! Thankful to do business with them!
I went in June 24th to have my sunroof shade put back on track. I was told they needed to order the part, they would call me when it came in. It was covered under warranty. They called and I took the care August 5th and left it. They had my car for 6 weeks to replace a sunroof shade that had come off track. I kept being put off and avoided by the service manager every time I called to check the status of my repair. I asked to speak to the service managers manager, and was told he didnt have one, as if he owns the dealership. I was put into 3 separate loaner cars during this time due to Service manger calling to tell me that they needed to sell the one I was driving. I ended up in a rental car. When I finally got my car back, it was filthy inside on the roof interior where dirty hands worked on it. You can see the silver track now even when the sun roof shade is closed. I also filled up with gas 2 days before I dropped my car off, when I picked it up, it was empty! I got SEVERAL notification alerts on my Hyundai app that my vehicle engine has been running with no key fob for 15 minutes or more. Not sure why the engine needed to be running to fix a shade. When I got a text to come get my car on 9/14, I was informed they had taken it to Mikes auto body for assistance with installation My car sit in the sun for 6 weeks, and my phone mount that was suctioned on my window must had fallen off, so they just stuck it on the dash and let it sit in the sun for weeks and weeks so now there is a circle on my dash that will not come off!! I have pictures of all the mentioned above. The service manager has the personality and work ethic of a used car salesman. It was terrible. My family have purchased 3 new vehicles and 1 used vehicle from Gray Epperson over the years. They lost my business thank to their service manager. I will never go back n recommend anyone else.

Looking to purchase a new car. Salesman approached me right away to offer any assistance if I needed it. Looked at several cars and decided to test drive the one I liked the most. Great experience. I was stranded and in distress. A stranger boosted me off at the post office. I had called Kelsey in Service and explained my plight. My husband passed away in Feb. and I was so upset. I was afraid Id be forced to stay home from work for multiple days or weeks. She was do knowledgeable, understanding and efficient. It was my battery and they were able to find the battery I needed and get it installed in a timely manner. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Kelsey, and all the unnamed staff at Gray Epperson who made my service possible! Awesome staff! Awesome service! Everything about my service experience was excellent EXCEPT for the Hyundai-corporate-created check-in app. Dont check in using that app. Just walk inside the dealership when you arrive.

Im giving a 1 star because Nicole in Service was great. However, I brought my Varacruze in on a recall to have some work done. I noticed it was acting similar to what the recall letter stated and when I picked the car up after work was done, got 1/2 down the road and the engine seized up and quit working. I got a ride back to the dealership where I learned they were aware something else was wrong with my car but failed to mention it before I left, leaving me in harms way during my commute. Quite frankly an apology really doesnt cut it. In this case no harm no foul, I was able to get off the road without an issue, however had their been heavy traffic it could have turned out much worse. My family has owned 5 Hyundais and this will be the last.

Horrible company. They false advertise and smooth talk you into running your credit and tell you they can approve you no matter the circumstances and then after your credit is ran and they tell you that they can’t help you, and then you call their bluff on their false Advertising Facebook AD they remove you from their chat and also blocked me once I told them I didn’t have a down payment, even tho I told them that before they ran my credit! Scammers just hurt your credit score and don’t help you if you don’t have cash on hand, even if you have a trade in they won’t tell you what they are giving you for it so they can adjust it to whatever they want!!! I will NEVER SHOP HERE!!!!! Imagine If they treat you this way before purchasing a car then you’re screwed after you buy one from them!!!!

I got a vehicle from Gray Epperson the people were very polite and did anything to make you happy. Then I went back to get just a oil change I told them needless the guy took it upon himself to do other things to my car which in turn cost me $350.00 money I didnt have to spend then the car acted up I left Gray Epperson the car lost speed had to go back then I was going to give a voluntary repo the lender told me to take it to Gray Epperson I did left almost home when I got not one but two very hateful phone calls from them telling me I had to come back and get the car it was private property and I could not leave it there even though I got the car there with all the stress I about had to go to the hospital but my son-in-law did having chest pains over how Gray Epperson had done me the company that Im talking about is the one in Cleveland Tennessee the way I was treated the last time I went there I will not tell anyone anymore to go get a vehicle there the date I was there was November 19 2020 and the guy that was so rude and hateful didnt even have the balls to come out and say anything to my face and never got an apology from him for acting the way he did I was took advantage of during the virus cause they took it upon themselves to do other things to my car that I didnt ask them to do I will never get another vehicle from them again it only takes one bad apple in a company that makes the company look bad the car was missing parts they said that they were going to order the parts and still to this day havent heard anything about the parts it took them close to a year to find the second key for the car and every time I turn around it says that the key needs a battery not long after I got the car I had to get a battery for my key
My father took his 17 Elantra to have the transmission serviced and flushed. The mechanic didnt properly tighten the drain plug and all the transmission fluid leaked out of his transmission over a 3 week period resulting in the transmission seizing. This is obviously not his fault and Gray Epperson Hyundai refuses to fix the problem. He was even told they fired that mechanic and they still refuse to replace the obviously damaged transmission. They filled it back up with fluid and told him it is good to go. Any actual mechanic knows that a transmission ran without fluid for any amount of time causes damage to that transmission. Shame on you Gray Epperson Hyundai for not fixing your own mistake.

Called today and told them I had a nail in my tire and I drive the interstate to work 6 days a week. I have three children and explained that my car isnt safe to drive these distances. All of my tires are through grey Epperson so now I have to find ANYONE who can help me after 9 years of loyalty? Heres the reason I was given: my manager said that we couldnt take you in if we wanted to because our air compressor is broken. I could have argued like a child but they decided to not serve me or my family today. The first 5 years grey Epperson was second to none service that went out of their way even when you didnt ask. These days it seems like any concern is gone. You have lost your passion to serve and have failed me and my family. Do you even care? Doubt it.

Buying the car was a great experience, everything after that has been a total mess. Each service thats needed to be done, within a week its needed to go back for something completely different. Car has already had a motor replaced at 30,000 miles. Just took it in Tuesday for a noise from a screw that was not installed correctly when motor was replaced and Im currently sitting in my driveway with the car that wont start three days later. The help from the parts department is practically non-existent. Unfortunately I wont be doing business with them, my car will be gone asap. Will never ever use them again for a brand new car purchase. Alison in the parts department is just plain awful. Her attitude is poor.

Im a single woman and had been shopping around in Chattanooga for a few weeks. Every dealership I visited pressured me and made me feel like I was in a hot seat. The rep would go find the manager and then the manager would pressure me And, when I would tell them my financial goals they made me feel like I was being unreasonable. One dealership told me my credit score was almost 100 points lower than it actually is and my rep here at Gray Epperson was shocked. Long story short out of all the dealerships Ive visited over the last 2 to 3 weeks have either been rude or just plain shady.Ron Carelli was my sales rep and from the moment I contacted Gray Epperson they met me with good faith, no pressure, and a much better financial scenario on the vehicle I needed.I cannot recommend this dealership or Ron Carelli highly enough!

The dealership has no ethics. Before you find out the price of the car they want to run credit. Never did find out the price of the car.shady business. The service department went above and beyond what I expected on this visit. I went by because some trim around the base of the passenger seat had come loose. I was surprised to find it covered under warranty. They made an appointment for me to bring the car by, saying they had to order the part. Simple enough. Then they noticed there were 3 minor recalls on my car. I figured they would take care of those things all at once, expecting a couple of hours in the waiting area. Instead they scheduled a rental car for me, and said they would keep the car from the time they ordered the part until the repair and recalls were complete. I was in a rental for 2 days, then picked up my car, good as new. I definitely didnt expect a rental car for a simple repair, but I certainly appreciated it since I am very busy. Great service!
All the staff I encountered were super nice and not just to me. My 2 years old was running around the entire store like a crazy person and dancing to their music. They all loved her. They made sure to keep me updated on the process. Very excellent service! Thanks guys and gals!!!
Great place to buy a car. I knew what I wanted and the salesman was very helpful. Other dealerships keep you there for hours and hours. Grey Eperson took care of me and had me home in time to watch the big games. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to purchase a new or used car.

They were great until I purchased the car. I have been having a lot of issues with my 2020 Elantra (low tire pressure, passenger seat beeping for the seatbelt to be buckled even when nothing is on it, hesitation while accelerating) and I cannot get an appointment to get it fixed. I cannot just take off work, nothing available on weekends, someone cant come pick it up, they close before I get off. Im very frustrated and they were unable to offer anything other than unfortunately, this is where we are at. Very disappointed and wishing that I could return this car.

I was approved online, so I took off work a little early to meet with them because I work past the business hours. I told them previously that I was looking for a used car because Hyundai doesnt carry any mini vans for my family but I do like some of the other vehicles they have on their lot. My wife and I along with my son had to wait for 45 minutes in the office just for the guy to figure out who I was. Then as we waited another 30 minutes we find out the only Offer I had was on a new 2020 sedan

I bought my first car with Gray Epperson. I was greeted by friendly faces and presumably employees that had my best interest at heart. My presumption was WRONG! I expressed the kind of car I wanted, the car note range I wanted, and explored the lot with a car salesman. After looking into a few deals, I chose a car and that’s where it all went down hill. My credit was pulled by over 10 banks with no strategy as to which they knew of would work for me. My credit dropped 60 points! The financial team as well as the salesman helping me, convinced me that because I didn’t have much credit and it was my first car that I would have to accept a higher car note payment and build my credit that way. A few monthly car note payments were thrown my way and, with their ... “expertise” and “advice”, we reluctantly agreed upon $408.67. 7 months later the car I love and cost - a whopping $18,000 - is only worth $11,000. No accidents. I had to replace my tires & minimal mileage. This is the WORST experience I’ve ever had with ANYONE providing customer service. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN & DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. If I was not required to add a star rating, I would give them 0 stars.

Had a recall on a Hyundai Sonata. They took care of everything. Secured a rental car and kept me up to date without promising the moon. Still, they delivered the moon. They forecasted that the repairs would take two weeks to a month. So, I was prepared for a long wait. Because the parts were available sooner than expected, they finished in a week. When I next shop for a vehicle I will start with Gray Epperson.
Even though Im in my fifties, this was my first new car purchase all on my own. Needless to say, I was nervous going into it. Ron happened to be standing outside the building when we pulled up and I feel blessed that he was our salesman. He put me at ease throughout the process and is just a nice guy to be around. I already have a 1990 Miata at home and wanted a new one. There was never one bit of pressure and, in fact, Ron spent nearly 5 hours with us until the deal was closed.I also met and spoke with the owner of the dealership, Mr. Gray Epperson. What a down-to-earth man, very personable. Everyone at the dealership that we came in contact with was so very nice.I know where Ill be going whenever I get my next new car. Thank you, Ron!
I had my oil changed here because they were one of the only dealers who offered a coupon online. After they changed my oil, the gentleman who helped me gave me a better deal from a special they had going. Also, he provided me with a rebate to mail in, which will save me more money the next time I have an oil change.This is honestly the first time Ive left a dealer not feeling ripped off. I highly recommend these guys!
I love the Service I receive at Epperson Mazda. Donna is always cheerful, attentive, and ready to help me and my wife whenever we call. The new Service Manager Ken is very knowledgeable and helpful as well. They are quick and fair priced on service. After purchasing 3 cars from them over the years my family and I will never take our cars anywhere else to be serviced.
Called a month before taking my wife’s Veracruz into service for new CV boots, alignment, tire rotation, and oil change. Discussed issue with service and to make sure parts were ordered and time needed for repairs (three-four hours we were told). Scheduled appointment for 1100 am on a Thursday. Delivered car at 9 am and checked in with representative in service. Was later informed the car wouldn’t be ready until the next day as they had a technician out. No problem as we would just pick up the car on Friday. Friday came. Received several calls about the multi-point free inspection and do we want this or that done, such as a coolant flush, brake flush, etc. (All of which has been recently completed) and told car would be ready by afternoon. 3pm came and we called, was then informed that they were behind and the technician didn’t think it would be ready. We told them this was unacceptable since my wife needed her car for work on Monday. Lady informed us that she would call as soon as they had it ready. 5:05 pm; Heard nothing, so called lady......no answer on work or the cell number she gave us. Called the direct dealership line to discuss issue with the Service manager. He apologized for her lack of professionalism, informed us technician had just finished working on it, and we could pick it up that evening or the next morning. We proceeded to pick up car that evening. Perhaps when a customer brings in a vehicle for service, your technician should focus on the service required, then worry about the “multi-point inspection”. Perhaps the service manager should hold some training with his staff on time management, customer commitment, and communications skill. This would have been a 5 star review otherwise. Thank you.

Worst service I have ever experienced. Brought my car in on a Tuesday morning for service after Hyundai issued a recall on a safety feature on my car. I was given a loaner vehicle till they fixed mine. Grey Epperson called me Thursday at 1pm while I was at work and told me my vehicle was fixed and I needed to return the service vehicle by 4pm that evening. I didnt even get off work till 6pm that evening (and I live about 80miles away). I tried to explain that I could not come in and switch cars till after 7:30 and it turned into a huge deal. THEY THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME! I had to leave work half a day to return they vehicle! (Because another customer needed it). If I could give them -5 stars I would. Most unprofessional group I have ever dealt with. I will never do business there again and would advise anyone I know to do the same.

I have bought my last two vehicles here. One a Hyundai and a Dodge. Excellent selection of vehicles and the service is what brought me back. All employees are top notch and when they are helping you there is ZERO pressure to buy. Highly recommended and wont buy another vehicle anywhere but here.

As always, I did a lot of online research prior to going in to the lot. Id noticed the Veloster over the past couple of years. Id noticed the Vitamin C color. It was just a matter of looking at the vehicle and determining whether the price was within our range. Jim made the process very smooth. We love the car.
I started with talking to David Elrod over the phone about a used Hyundai Sonata I saw on their website. I told him I was interested and where I wanted to be. He was happy to tell me what they could do for me without dragging me down to the dealership to pressure me. With all my information in hand, he put together a deal for me over the phone that was very fair.Once we got to the dealership, they were very helpful and friendly. We got to take a great test drive of the vehicle we were interested in, and as the deal was already prepared, there was no stress.By the end of our experience, the great sales team even managed to find better financing for us than we originally discussed. They also gave me a great trade in value on my 2002 Sonata as well.All in all, this was the best car buying experience I have had and we are planning to go back the next time we need to purchase a vehicle. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.
I have owned a Hyundai for many years and look forward to going through the process of possibly buying a newer model. On Saturday June 20, 2015, I visited Hyundai of Cleveland on APD-40. Unlike Honda, a salesman did approach me as i got out of my car...a good start but it didnt end that way. I informed the salesman of my needs (price range, model year range and that i was in the used car market). He instantly turned around and introduced me to the car his girlfriend had just traded in and it was several thousands of dollars higher than the extreme price range i clearly informed him of. Incredible! The car was practically new, not really used. So, I walked around and was keenly aware that Hyundais idea of a used care was a 2013 or newer model--at least with their cars. There are older cars from non-Hyundai models. Of course, money talks and i am old enough to know how the car buying game is played but i expect a better experience and will go elsewhere for my car buying needs. Hyundai will not get a referral from me and they will not get my money either.
I dont know what the deal is with this place. I regret ever buying a car from these people. Ever since I got the car Ive had to take it back, for things needing to be fixed. I guess being a lady made the car buying experience no better.
