The refrigerator part of my refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling. I called several repair shops, never got a call back.I was thrilled when GWBWhims called back. They gave me an appointment time. Then I received a call to see if was OK if he came a day EARLY!Very pleasant, very professional. He explained to me what the problem was, gave me a a list of options on what can be done, then suggested what he thought was most reasonable.In less than an hour my refrigerator was purring.Excellent service!

I have used G & W Appliance several times to fix appliances in a rental unit that I own in Lakewood. The kindness, high quality of service and fairness of pricing provided by Judy and Bill is nothing but exceptional. They are the only company in which I would call to repair my appliances. I could not have ever asked for better service. On. Scale of 0 to 100, I would rate them 1000. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of the repair of an appliance. Bill and Judy, thank you very much for the services you both have provided to me.

The family went above and beyond for me. I was unable to pay for a part and they looked extra hard and found one in Parma and they took the time to go get it so i wouldnt have to wait till monday to fix my dryer. I am so grateful and i was able to pay with the little money i had. .

Wonderful experience today with G & W Appliance. Today, is my first day of vacation. I woke up thinking it would be a day of R&R only to discover a refrigerator failing to maintain an appropriate temp and leaking water. I had two another repairs I ended up working on, but at least I was able to get them out of the way and thank God these issues waited until I was off from work with more time to relax. Always have to look at the bright side of things!I called G&W, the first Appliance repair business with a 216 area code. I look for the 216 because of past experiences. Many businesses dont prefer to come where I live. Bill answered the phone and informed me that none of their repairmen are working today. Understandable because it is the Saturday before Christmas. As we were about to conclude the call, he said, I really wish I could help you, and then asked more details. Bill was very generous with his time and walked me through troubleshooting that got my refrigerator working. He gave me the details about the part that was going bad and suggested that I could save money by replacing it myself. He walked me through what the process would be. I checked online and Bills price for the part was very competitive. By the time I made it to G & W to buy the part, he had loaded a YouTube video to make sure I would be OK with installing the part. He welcomed me to call back if I needed any help.There is a broader story here that deals with race and location. Im black, Bill is white, I live on the Eastside of Cleveland and Bills shop is on the far Westside. I should not be so surprised that Bill was so helpful to me, based on those two factors. The world would be such a better place if we had more Bills in it. Bill thank you very much for your kindness today. I sincerely appreciate it and I hope this review brings more customers your way.

Great company!I needed my fridge repaired and called everywhere trying to find someone available. They were the first to call me back, schedule a time, and fix my fridge! It took 2 days and Will immediately knew what was wrong with my fridge so after a small bill later he assured me everything was good to go. Also the work has a 90 day warranty. I will definitely call them again if/when (the joys of homeownership) another appliance is on the fritz.

Everybody has different experiences. Here was mine: I found myself with a nonworking dryer at 9:30 in the morning and by 1 o’clock in the afternoon it was humming along just fine, having been expertly repaired by a fellow named Bill, with 40 years experience! Old-school service and fair prices.

Can’t say enough. Great service all around. Broken freezer and worried about losing months of breast milk! They were out and fixed the freezer within two hours of the call. Reasonable price too!

I called this company on the recommendation of the place I purchased this appliance from. I was immediately put on hold for at least 10 minutes & was ready to hang up when someone picked up the phone, said theyd call me back in 5 minutes. They never called back. I called them the next day & maybe 2 words into the conversation was hung up on. I immediately called back asking if they could hear me, which they could. The hangup was immediate, no second hello or anything, just click! They were to send someone the next day but call first. No call again. So I called & was given a 2-4:30 arrival time. It was pushing 4pm & getting very late. Were near 80 years & its getting too late to have someone working during the evening. My husband still works & would be coming home & I needed to get dinner. So I called saying it was getting too late & to reschedule. I had tried to get someone out all week long & here it is Thursday & Im still trying. I immediately got such an argument I couldnt get a word in as I was getting yelled at! Its awful when you get treated so rudely, so unlike the way I was brought up. So I cannot recommend this company & Ive told that to the person that recommended them as well. I then called J&J Appliance near me, he remembered me, & hes been so wonderful to deal with for nearly 50 years. Hes sending someone out today!

Way to expensive! I needed a thermal fuse thats maybe 5 bucks and thermistor same price.. They want over 40 for both! Save yourself the hassle and get them on Amazon! Im not going back to that place again to get ripped off! Stay away from here and save yourself money!

I would like to know if anyone has been charged $80 dollars just got an estimate. Does that sound right?First off my parents are mentally ill and easily taken advantage of. Our refrigerator broke, I looked at it and said it’s old and we should just get a new one. My mom has been using this guy Jim to Fox everything but he charges so much and the things just keep breaking again and again. I have been through 2 dishwashers, and 3 washers and dryers. Now he comes looks at the fridge and says there’s nothing he can do, that it’s just broke. Then charges then $80 dollars for just looking at it. That may not be a lot for some people, but they are on disability and don’t have money to just blow on a company that just tells them they are broke. I thought most places do free estimates nowadays? Or atleast 20-30 dollars. NOT $80 dollars to tell them it’s broke. I’m so upset with this company. They took advantage of us. I left a message I’m trying to talk to them for more info but if they ignore me I will go to the BBB (better business bureau) next. It’s not right to just take from the mentally ill like that. They could have given suggestions or something other then just saying it’s broke now u owe me 80 dollars. That’s so sad

Very courteous and helpful technician answered the phone and offered assistance, despite the fact it was his day off (Sat) and he just happened to be in the shop. Was very thorough and patient in helping me diagnose and temporarily resolve the problem. As a result we can use dryer until the necessary part becomes available. I will certainly use G&W to do the final repairs and trust they will be fair and professional.

Horrible customer service. The lady at the front desk was very rude and tried selling me parts that I had no need for just cause she thought I didnt know I really needed to fix my dryer. She wanted to charge me 70$ for parts that I ended up getting off amazon for 4$. This place is absolutely disgusting.

We have used this company 5-6 times in the past & we have never been disappointed in any aspect of their service! From making the appt on the phone to how accommodating they are with the appt time, to how friendly & informative they are when theyve been at our home, I cant recommend them enough! (We had them out for our dishwasher, washer & dryer.) Great, honest customer service can be so hard to come by these days...thanks to G & W Whims for knowing how to run their business the old-fashioned way!

Argumentative old hag refusing to take my money. Good luck staying in business with her has your first line of defense. I have a 6 inch span from my dryer to the outside. Im looking from the front of my dryer and can see daylight through the vent (while on the phone with her) wont sell me a thermostat because she insists i have an airflow problem. I wanted to buy thermostats, she wont sell them to me or transfer me to somebody who will.

Horrible customer service. We went in and asked for a fuse to replace a broken one in our hotpoint dryer and were told by the woman behind the counter that it doesnt have a fuse! When we questioned her about it, she became defensive and said it was a long weekend! I dont think they want to sell parts to the general public and would ever recommend or patronize this place again
