This thrift store is always pleasant to shop in. I love that the store is clean and items are displayed in an easy-to-shop appealing manner. All of the employees are kind and helpful, I have found some great treasures for myself and hard to find toys that my daughter loves. We always plan a trip to the store when visiting the area and have never been disappointed.
Most of this stuff is given to the thrift store. Ive even donated to them but they turn around and sell somethings for a ridiculous amount. Selling products is one thing but ripping off is another. I went in for a twin size platform frame they had them and said they were $120 he said they were new in a box I found the same one for $62 dollars exactly same brand so why is a thrift store charging so much more? For them to be a thrift store and over charge doesnt sit well with me as most there items are donated including my donations. I wont donate here again someone is making a whole lot of money from greed!!!!
The staff is amazing. If youre looking for something. They have it.
Always find great things. Prices are very reasonable. Staff friendly
Since new management arrived I went back and enjoyed shopping at the St. Vincent Thrift Store! We had so much fun, I love thrift shopping, you find so many great things. We bought a lot! Thanks for letting us know of the new management - really friendly staff, very helpful and just great improvements. Matt is terrific too!
I am 100% in favor of supporting local ministries: however, St Paul de Vincent in Clermont is outrageously overpriced. For example, today I visited, against my better judgement, to find a small table or bookshelf to fit in a small reading nook for my daughter. St Vincent had a short shelf that was scratched and a chip of pressed board was missing. New, I would estimate this Walmart item being $15. They had this very used item listed for $35. Even on their half off days, their items are still to expensive. I suggest visiting any of the local privately owned or non-profit thrift stores in the area. If you visit Goodwill, go there last because they are often overpriced as well; although not usually as bad as St. Vincent De Paul.
Not a thrift store. Everything is significantly over priced. You can find much better deals online. Some items in store are asking for more than it would cost new. Do not recommend.
This shop is a treasure waiting to be discovered 🎁 The store may be smaller than what Im used to but the variety, lay-out, prices, and quality are top-notch.The music is upbeat and trendy which gave me a real sense of joy while shopping. The staff is helpful and friendly which made my overall experience here one to remember! 😊😇
Got some good stuff there. Prices are good.
The store has been rearranged so it’s easier to navigate, and it is cleaner than in the past. But man.... many of the prices are insane. Ridiculously overpriced. Some prices were even higher than what you would find in an actual retail store brand new.
I like supporting local charities. They have so many things, from clothes to appliances. Everything is reasonably priced and I check here often if I am looking for an item that doesnt have to be new. I have purchased couches, chairs, kitchen gadgets and picked up a couple of ties. Parking can be tricky sometimes. If youre looking for a bargain that also helps the community, this is a great place.
I normally love shopping here but I will not returning due to the prices being absolutely crazy lately especially for a thrift store. I bought this totem figure for $20 and it doesn’t even light up like it’s supposed too and when I looked up the totem it said they only sell them for only $12 online in working condition -.- I was sooo mad
This was an interesting thrift store. It was well laid out and everything had a clear price on it. For a thrift store a lot of the items were top dollar. All in all it was nice. They did have furniture outside in the rain, don’t know if I would trust buying any of that. I would definitely check it out again.
No longer a stop for me. Not sure what has happened lately but the prices are totally unrealistic. I picked up an old used scuffed up Tupperware bowl missing a lid and it was marked $9.00? I also found an airplane figurine that was priced at $44.00 and still had the $9.99 T J Max price tag on the bottom of it. Lol. A pack of Easter window clings from Dollar tree with the price of, you guessed it $1.00 printed on it and they had it priced for $2.99. Not going back there anytime soon.
Very disappointed. Was here years ago and loved it. I know prices have gone up but a lot of theirs were very high.
Over price over price don’t waist your time
Nice thrift store. They layed it out well to check for thingsTruly a lovely experience, as thrift stores go
It was very clean and i see they are getting more organized which I like to shop on a clean store.
Very clean. Great decor items
Picked up several Christmas items on my list! Liked that everyone wore a mask too.
Always a good selection
I was donating some furniture, luggage, and household items. I was directed to the back of the building, so I parked and went to find help. A nice gentleman assisted me, removed a chain so I could back in closer to the dock area. As we were unloading, a younger person came out and was upset I had backed in and stated I was not allowed to park there. I explained I was simply dropping off some donations and then I was leaving. He mumbled to another person and grudgingly assisted with the furniture. I left and can honestly say that was my first, and last, time donating there. Disappointing to say the least!
They would not honor the price that was on a certain item. Said it must have been a volunteers error. Prices are high for things to begin with!
Wonderful staff little high on certain prices.
Always friendly service and Great prices!!
Clean, staff pleasant, hard to determine sizes on clothes.
Great mission, great store, great staff.
I go here quite often. Always seems to be something here I can use at good price.
I think I love the employees more than the store.Thay treat you like family.Always have great specials on half off days.I really like it
PRICES WERE 2 HIGH 4 USED ITEMS. BEIN BOUGHT. THERE IS NO BUY USED N SAY THE DIFFERENCE!!!
Not the cleanest Thrift Stote around and rather expensive for what they have considering items are given to them. Looking cluttered and not organized. Some things belong im the trash
LOVE THIS STORE! Go there often. VERY FRIENDLY staff & good variety. Prices are reasonable compared to other thrift stores. Older gentleman that runs the place is SUPER SWEET & goes out of his way to help! Like them on FB for a discount.
Enjoyed it alot. They have so much and easy to shop
Horrible customer service! Expensive prices for a thrift store! The employees look at people very awkwardly. I would never go back to this place. Didnt feel welcomed at all.
Great staff and great deals when they offer 50% off
50% off awesome
They have pretty good stuff but a lady name Daisy is not very nice
Great variety of good quality clothes kitchenware household items and furniture
Great little thrift store in town. Usually a good place for some used furniture and they can help you load up whatever it is your buying. Been coming here for years!
Today my partner and I tried to donate two bed and chairs and table and armoire, they would not take them. They turned up their noses. I will never shop there again. I will spend my money elsewhere
The people are friendly and helpful. I like shopping there for mostly Clothes. but they have reasonable prices on all their .things. Its a good place to shop.
Please go ahead and do your storefront a “good deed” and get WORKING BATHROOM for your customers! I will never shop here as long as I live while you continue to deny shoppers the right to a place to do business.I was here with my toddler a few years ago and literally WALKED out on a bunch of items I was going to purchase because my child would have had an accident on the floor and your workers/volunteers could not have cared less. Poor, poor customer care. Thanks, but no thanks.
I have tried to go here twice, following the google hours and both times the store was closed. Also both times (different staff members each time) the staff member stood at the door with their hand on the lock staring at me with very rude looks, as if they could not open the door and say they were closed, and idk ... tell me their hours?I’ve worked in customer service and I’ve never heard of training staff to just stand with RBF, staring at a customer to leave.I recommend that you teach your staff to properly turn a customer away at close, and maybe adjust your hours appropriately to reflect what times you’re actually open so I (and presumably others) don’t keep wasting time...
I have donated to this store several times. I read the previous reviews, and I have not had a negative experience as others have described. You go around the back with donations. A middle-aged black man and a teenager helped me the last 2 times that I was there. They were both very helpful and nice. They thanked me for the donation and offered the tax slip to fill out. No problems! :-)I have also shopped in the store. I did not find the prices to be high. :-)
I have bought end tables to winter jackets and martini glasses. My kids donate to them. They are very nice people and make you feel good to be there.
Excellent thrift store. Excellent prices and Customer service. They have a clean Restroom available to Customers. Will reccomend this place without hesitation.
Excellent prices when they give 50% discount I Love it
Have found a few items here and there. Decent variety but the issue is price tampering is rampant at this location. I have seen price tags removed and replaced with new ones showing higher prices or replaced with new dates so they do not have to mark something down after it has sat. A practice most common with furniture or anything they think might be a more valuable item. They had one dining set that was there for about 5 days that was $299 then it shot up to $599 and it stayed at that price for a while, then the tag got replaced again with a new date and they started it at $399 when no one went for it. I hate to see this happen with charities. The woman in charge needs a good lesson in business etiquette as most people who are or were regulars there see this happening.
New to the area and our puppy chewed up our daughters shoes so came here to look for shoes and the lady who greeted us didnt say a thing about our barefoot child, while looking around another lady said it was a law that my daughter couldnt be barefoot and kicked us out. I asked her which law was that because there was no signs indicating that. Ive never been so embarrassed in my life Never going back there again wouldnt recommend it to anyone
Nice people who work there
I am giving SVDP Thrift a 4 because their staff were very nice, otherwise I would give them a 3. However their prices are much higher compared to other SBDP stores I have visited. There is no color of the week discount on any item other than clothing. They said it was because they were already cheap enough on their items. Clearly they have not visited other Saint Vincent de Paul stores.
Excellent below market price..on most items.. friendly clean..good service! A variety of items..many placed out daily! Happy Shopping!
Great service, bargain prices, and very friendly staff! I’ve visited here on several occasions and have purchased many things. Always leave happy!
Been shopping there for years. Usually find a few good to great items. Today I scored a pair of $75 pants for $1
You can find good deals and good stuff at this thrift store however this location needs a serious organization. I am sure that they could sell more if the store was arranged differently. You always bump into furniture and the clothing racks.
Just went window shopping. Been there before great selection of used products at good prices. Recommend it highly.
Theres a whole lot of stuff to browse through. I think their furniture prices are to high. Over all experience was very good.
Very clean and well organized. The workers are very nice and welcoming. They are eager to help you find what you need.
Very good place to go
Great place to buy used stuff at great discounts. And moneys goes to help others on need. Great management.
Very clean and organized
Great items at very reasonable prices! Keep an eye out for different weekly sales!
A thrift store with pawn shop prices. Im of the mindset that a thrift store is a store meant for thrifty people. Low budget, money conscious. But this place is not that. They want $21 for a VCR and $12 for a VHS rewinder! Not even goodwill is this greedy. To whoever owns this store, fire the current manager or whoevers idea it was to match eBay prices on everything. I came into your shop for good deals or at least fairly priced items. If I wanted to shop for eBay prices items, I wouldve shopped on eBay. Also remember, you get all this stuff donated to you for free.
They discriminate against people with disabilities.
Employees are super rude. The selection of items isn’t that great either it’s honestly just all junk. Not sure how this store stays open. We got kicked out and lights turned off at 6:30 even though it says closes at 7.
The people are nice and is one of the best thrift stores if you are looking for mattresses and furnitures. I go here for stuff or furnitures, not for clothes. The prices are good and everything is organized and easy to find. I have had great luck several times ....
Very clean, friendly, lots of items to look through
St. Vincent DePaul is the best thrift store in Clermont Florida. The people are super friendly and the prices are very competitive for the quality of their merchandise.
Prices are higher than the Goodwill in Winter Garden, but the inventory is better curated and the staff is super friendly.
I was going to give a low rating just to keep this great thrift store to my self but you guys help so many so thank you.
Stopped in today while in town. Was excited to find christmas inflatables until I looked at the price and they were trying to sell them for 3x the price they are on Amazon. This store should be ashamed of themselves.
I love checking out this shop often. Always busy, nice people working, great deals and the money goes to charity.
Stored smelled super musty and hot as hell. Furniture is so insanely overpriced, it’s insulting!
DO NOT let this store advertising being a 501C3organization.With my only day off I showed up on a Sunday and unloaded 17 completely sellable wooden bookcases.I was about to pull away and was greeted by a man in a white corvette, saying that he cant accept.I was told to load them back up and leave.NON-PRIFIY ORGANIZATION MY ASS.
This thrift shop sold us a sectional for 201.00, unbeknownto us, when we got home the cushions did not fit right. The sectional was missing a piece so Stephanie gave us a cushion off the matching chair to shove into fill the spot. This has never worked and the couch came separated and I was not aware. So because of this i fell over the couch broke my hand and had 13 stitches.I called Stephanie today and TRIED to explain the situation 1st she put the phone down and then when I asked for a higher up in this non profit company she told me you won”t get your money back and was to busy to talk to me and hung up the phone. NEVER TRUST THIS STORE, THEY LIED TO US AND WOULD NOT MAKE IT RIGHT. I know have metal hardware in my hand and a scare on my lip because of her lie. Is this Christianity at its best?****UPDATE***. I spoke with a Mr. Darrell or Mr. Darrelled, he would not repeat his name. Told me they do not to keep so no proof of this happening (once again emplying I am lying).so with no records their is nothing they will could do. *News Flash* we have credit card receipt. After I explained that Stephanie twice in one day hung up on me, his exact words were he could have fired her for picking up the pone when he had customers. I suggested he should have fired her for selling us a couch under misleading information and basically stealing cushions off one of the additional pieces to give the appearance of this sectional being intact. I would take full responsibility for not checking closer on a piece of catholic charities (guess you can’t even trust church groups.). Stephanie should have been fired for lying to us for the almighty dollar and then hanging up on me twice in the dame day. Seems to be part of the training program, you fix your problem by hanging up on customers. So: BUYER BEWARE!!! On top of never buying anything from this “catholic” thrift shop I will NEVER donate to them again. If anyone wants to return my calls at the thrift store you have my number. In case you forgot the name is Susan Hacker.
The cashier was really nice and help me with my purchase today.
They tried charging me a higher price for an item I actually found at another store brand new. The item at this location was used (of course) and was missing a lot of pieces, was beat up alittle and I tried to work the price down alittle since slot was missing, but they charged a gave me a price I knew was too high, so I ended up checking out another store that had this item brand new for a way cheaper price. I wanted to purchase from this store because I wanted to help but I dont want to be jipped either. I rate two stars because the location is in a good place.
Great place to shop, youre actually making a difference in helping those in need with every purchase.
Super place to find little treasure s . Helpful staff also.
They always have some cool stuff to check out..but no air movement in the place..air felt stale
Used to be a decent place to check out but the quality of products and prices have steadily gotten worse . Have actually found items with Dollar Store stickers that they are charging 3,4 and 5 dollars for .
Horribly over priced. Its a shame
Nice gently used items at good prices. Good cause.
Ok
Very nice displays of goods. Parking is a bit tight.
Love love love this place.... great prices and they always hama very something unique!!!
Nice people. Willing to work with you on prices.
Fine I buys to things!
This is the worst place to donate, the manager was so rude and has no manner to deal with customers, her attitude and dedication to company purpose which is to help others, isnt adequate for her to be qualified for that position on that store. which requires, trust, professionalism, patience, interest on customers and knowledge of what shes doing. Where do st vicent de paul hire those circus people? Who denigrate the store .. Im very upset, no more donations from us...Ps. Were the one spending $ 964.. On the mattres... Remember?St vicent paul... Is better to hire someone without education well educated than hire some well educated without education to others! But that lady didnt have any education at all.
Ridiculously expensive
Great way to give back and find some hidden treasures
Friendly staff but furniture is so overpriced its incredible! Amazon is cheaper
Probably one of the best thrift stores in Clermont.
Prices were really high! Great selection if you want to break the bank!
Plenty to browse through, prices are good
Worthless things, been over priced, you have to spend some time to get something good at a good price
Huge store great selection prices ok
Lot of good things
