Rented a 17’ truck for moving in March, Max was so friendly and informative! He helped us rent the truck, and return it. Just completely nice, and easy going. I expected it to be a long process, but we were in and out with a truck within minutes. I hope management sees this and recognizes and acknowledges Max for giving great customer service during a stressful time (COVID and moving). Thanks again, Max! You’re wonderful! I also spoke to Charles on the phone asking for another hour with the truck and he was so eager and sweet in allowing us to extend our rental time. Will definitely come back to this location just for the friendly service!

Very friendly service! We had to rent a very clean full-size Ford Transit Van to move stuff out of storage. They were very friendly and when I move to my new house I will be using them.

Ive moved at least a dozen times using U-haul in my life and this was by far the best experience Ive ever had. The customer service was 100% on point from start to finish. The team member who handled our rental (Im so sorry I dont remember your name!) went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and was overall extremely accommodating and compassionate. Great experience in a high stress situation. Definitely recommend!

This review is for Edward the General Manager of UHaul Clearwater.I scheduled a UHaul for 1 week. I work 2 jobs and was helping my mother in law move from her home. The move ended up taking me longer then i anticipated, I got calls after my reservation had ended from UHaul about returning the truck. I answered the calls and told them I was trying to get the truck back I just needed a bit more time. This morning I received a text threatening to repossess the truck, I returned the truck they said it would be $300. They had already charged $2000 dollars on my credit card and now I have to wait to get my money refunded.Edward, I farted in the truck when I returned it and I hope you smelled it.

Rented here several times and also fill my BBQ propane here. Consistent mediocre customer service, the staff are generally disinterested but at the end of the day the equipment seems well maintained.

Every employee that i dealt with was extremely nice and very helpful. They got me in and out quickly.

They rented us a truck with holes in it that allowed tons of water to enter and drip down all over our furniture, electronics, clothing. We filed an insurance claim against them immediately. When returning the truck they attempted to argue with me about whether or not it was truly leaking. I have pictures of all water damage, and of the areas where the leaks were attempted to be patched previously. The jerk who runs the place tried to say it was because the door opened on me while driving today where its bright and sunny. They have now still charged my card and are attempting to fight me every step of the way. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CON ARTISTS!

Had a great experience here, rented a 10ft and 12 foot truck two separate days and both times had no issues.

THIS IS THE WORST STORE EVER!!!! I PICKED UP A TRUCK FOR MY DAUGHTER WHO WAS PAYING FOR THE TRUCK. THE GUY AT THE DESK TOLD ME I HAD TO LEAVE A CREDIT CARD. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED HIM TWICE IF MY CARD WOULD BE CHARGED. HE ENSURED ME MY CARD WOULD NOT BE CHARGE - I WAKE UP TO $313.78 CHARGE & 4 BOUNCED CHECKS. U-HAUL REFUSES TO REFUND MY MONEY BECAUSE WE JUST RENTED THE TRUCK YESTERDAY & THEY WONT DISCUSS THIS WITH ME UNTIL THE TRUCK IS RETURNED. THEN I MUST FILE A COMPLAINT AND WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 72 HOURS!!!! NEVER AGAIN IN LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was our first time moving and doing a rental storage. We arrived at 12 pm to pick up the truck and sign some papers. We were packing for 5-6 hours and when we finally finished we headed over to the storage. Turns out we can’t even put our things in the storage because the idiots at uhaul didn’t even inform us that we needed to sign more papers to gain access to the storage. Now I have to call out of work tomorrow to come during their business hours sign the stupid papers they shoulda had me sign in the first place to spend a whole other day unpacking. Thanks uhaul for making my first experience ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE

I got a van there. It was smelling so bad that I had to buy candles to get rid of the smell. I brought this up to the guy in the office and he ignored that fact. Not the best impression. Used to a better service from U-haul.

I have been to rent trailer on this place at least 6x for the last 2 yrs. They are quick and easy to work with.

!!!!!!!!!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!! If I could i put no stars. The worse service. Poorly trained staff the so call genaral manager was rude not helpful and when confront about his poor trained staff he reply not my problem there nothing I can do for you and when i wrote corporate about they stand with this poorly manage store. They didnt even sent an apology e-mail or anything. Do your self a favor and use Life Storage on (myrtle and drew) they have everything you need and more not to mention their awesome service unlike U-haul you pay for what you get. Is been 4 days and they still havent refund my card the reminder of the money they put on hold for the truck. Keep calling they keep saying my bank is holding but my bank is yet to recieve a payment from U-haul.

The location is easy to get in and out of with a big truck, unlike many smaller locations. Set up very well.

Terrible. I rented a 17 feet truck a week in advance. I called the day before to make sure it was ready to be picked up and they assured me it was there waiting for me. When I picked it up the next morning they gave us a 15 feet truck which in fact measures only 10 feet so I really dont know how they are measuring their trucks. I attempted calling them for 30 mins and they did not picked up the phone. I had to call a different store requesting help to get a hold of them. After a while they transfer me. I asked for an explanation and the guy, Vit said that he did not know what had happened but the 17 feet truck had been moved by someone and they did not have any available. BS. I had paid a moving company to help and since truck was smaller it took longer therefore I had to pay extra to the movers. Very inconvenient and horrible customer service.

Nice crew, just get there in time to get your rental prior to closing. Theyll wait for you, but its obvious theyre ready to go after a long day

We reserved cargo trailer online and drove 600 miles to pick up from Clearwater, FL to only have the price double on us. Online reservation was for $173 and when we arrived it jumped to $343. What a crock! Unethical business practices - not to mention we drove 600 miles and then had to figure out how to get our only family heirloom back to NC. I will never recommend Uhaul to anyone and will be filing complaint with BBB.

Joe was very polite,helpful and was very patient answering all of my questions.

I have several fraudulent charges on my card from this location. Luckily the back was able to correct the situation.

Short version: manager is very rude, staff has no clue what they are doing and resulted in damage to the vehicle towing due to improper trailer hook up.This occurred in the past but left such a bad taste in regard to Uhaul that I will never use them again - no matter what location.A while back I rented a vehicle hauler to transport a Jeep I was going to purchase and I needed it for a couple of days. This ended up costing roughly 300 dollars when all was said and done.Upon pickup the assistant (a younger kid) hooked up the trailer (you’re not allowed to hookup your own) unfortunately I made the assumption that someone working at a trailer rental place would know how to hook one up. *MISTAKE*Upon loading the Jeep the trailer shot forward and put a good sized dent right in the back of the truck towing it, not much we could do at that point but hook it up *PROPERLY* and carry on.After about a month dealing with insurance it turns out their insurance only covers their vehicles/trailers even if it was due to their mess up. Never saw a penny of refund to the rental or towards the damage. Upon confronting the manager about it he was very unapologetic and rude given the situation (I don’t care if you’re a rude person but when it’s costing me money I have a problem)
