The countryside mall / westshore mall continues to be a staple in the area, even with the pandemic closing a few of the stores and restaurants. This GameStop had the same energetic, informative, and helpful staff as they usually do. Although we werent able to find exactly what we were looking for, we were directed on where to find it.
Went in today and wasnt impressed. I had questions regarding a system and the worker seemed annoyed about me asking prices and was unwilling to sell me any of the 4 Nintendo switch systems they had without all their added accessories that I didnt need adding another nearly $80 to my final purchase price.Gme to the moon but this ape was not happy with the support I got from fellow ape.
Employees greeted as entered store and asked if we needed help finding anything. Store had everything stocked as online stated. Check out employee did great job explaining promotions.
Good gaming store. We were looking for game tshirys which they were very limited on.
Very friendly and amazing people. Peter and Neil both were very helpful with the questions my bf and I had and I left with more than I expected to. All in all, great employees with great attitudes.

I went to the local Gamestop at Westfield mall in Clearwater with my son and we were approached by one of the clerks saying You guys have masks?! No hello, no welcome, basically no manners, as you would probably expect from someone looking the way he did. Mommas basement all over this guy!We replied, We dont need masks! He responded, Yes you do! Its the policy! I said Whos policy? He said OUR policy!I didnt know Gamestop clerks are also doctors, but anyways. I said to my son OK lets go, its their loss To which the same arrogant clerk replied with a smirk on his fat face I dont think so!I have spent thousands of dollars in Gamestop for the last 20 years on collectibles and games!I believe its time to look elsewhere, where customers are actually appreciated and properly greeted when approached!!!
Was just browsing for an XBOX X for my husband. The store clerk laughed at me because apparently, they just came out, and have sold out every day, every where, for the last few weeks 😑Stores are unavailable to keep up with the supply and demand. Glad to know people are using their stimulus money wisely!
Ok more collectables then games
My husband purchased a SCUF gaming controller in June from this location. It is a professional gaming controller so we also purchased the 49.99 warranty on top of the price of the controller. Less than two months of use and there is something wrong with the pads inside the controller that cannot be fixed by replacing the joy stick so we call to ask to use the warranty which guarantees a replacement. They can’t find the replacement but promise I will get a call back. One week goes by, two, three weeks. So I call again and spoke to Thomas. Thomas tells me he can’t fulfill the warranty, and I can’t have a refund that I can only get store credit, but not for the warranty they can’t honor. I called Game Stop’s customer service which is clearly also incomplete . They took my information as well as Thomas’ and the store location as well as what had occurred over the last several weeks. It’s now been three weeks since that phone call and nothing. So I took the controller in to this location and Guess who’s there with an attitude? Thomas. So I tell him why I’m there and that I’m willing to take store credit for the controller and the warranty. He continues to argue with me about why he can’t refund the warranty that we couldn’t use and they couldn’t honor. He told me well you’ll need it for the next item you purchase. I tell him we won’t be purchasing anything further from GameStop. This back and forth continues until- GUESS WHAT. He gives store credit for the controller and warranty. The thing he said he absolutely couldn’t do. We will never be purchasing a thing. His customer service was absolutely abhorrent and I have worked in customer service for years. He practical flung the gift card at me and I quickly left because his anger is not a quality that a person who works with people should have and honestly I was scared of his demeanor. It’s not hard to do the right thing if you can’t honor your company’s warranty. Clearly GameStop has no concept of good customer service or good employees. My husband has spent thousands over the years and this will be the last dollar we ever spend. I’m annoyed that I even have the store credit because I don’t care to shop there ever again.
Oh the days before digital technology when I used to have to ride my bike to GameStop, trade in some games and pre-order Halo 2. Or the midnight releases of Gears of War and Smash Brothers where people had systems set up on generators just so they can play while they waited outside the store. But now all it takes is a couple flicks of the thumb and a couple presses of the other to get to the PlayStation store or the Xbox store or steam. And unfortunately just like Old yeller GameStop is eventually going to get put down. I know my homeboys on Wall Street Bets are really trying to resurrect this place but as a hardcore gamer there really is not much incentive to come here anymore. Amazon,Best Buy, eBay and the aforementioned digital stores are beating this place like my Buccaneers would beat a peewee football team.

Came here and bought two 10 dollar psn cards got home and one did not work. The employees cared more about having a conversation with eachother then they did doing their job. They did not seem professional at this location like other workers do at other gamestops. Had to call sony to fix gamestops mistake

Been a customer for this GameStop for over a decade and have never had a single issue in 50+ transactions. Went to a different GameStop one time and immediately had issues. This specific one is the best by far and highly recommended.

All the staff here are so friendly, they can always help me out, Ive been able to buy a Xbox 360 and PS4 from here and they helped me out with it.

Worst place to sell back your video games. They buy your used video games for 20% of what you paid for and then turn around and sell it for 80% of the retail. Even if you bought it days ago and dont like it, they wont give you anywhere close to what its worth or what you paid for. Its the same thing with used electronics, they rip you off when buying back but then sell at almost retail.
As well-stocked as any GameStop. Expect to pay a premium for the service and convenience factor here
