I am a local licensed contractor. The complete lack of attention from two of their staff specifically Xan and Jamie gives an impression they have no idea what they are doing. They cannot take a simple order of any type and get it into a purchase order without tons of mistakes. They have cost serious time to my projects and even worse when confronted they have literally done nothing. I signed a window order and 11 days later it was signed it still had not been placed. Total of six weeks later and window order still not placed. Takes over a week to get a door order correct with so many corrections it would be better for me to do it myself and I have no training with their system. I recently switched sales reps and these two have absolutely no real experience whatsoever in construction. Four months and not one order ever came back the same that I sent it. If you are placed with them make sure to ask for different Reps! The amount they have cost me in time and setbacks is going to be massive! In the last year this business has taken a turn for the worst. To be honest I am looking for a replacement due to how bad this last four months has been.

I have a Silverline window whose info was sent to me by my contractor and I needed technical info on and couldnt find it anywhere online. The Silverline website gave the option to search for a local dealer to talk to. This company was the closest to my physical location (my project is in another state, but I am also licensed locally). I had not yet used Builders First Source, (and based on this experience, I definitely do not plan to in the future).The first person answered the phone quickly and was able to redirect me to the correct person seamlessly. That was great! (if that was the end of my needs, 5 stars for service). Unfortunately, the person I was passed to, treated me and my request like garbage and was the majority of my experience (1 star). It went approximately like this:Me: My contractor gave me basic specs and I was wondering if you could help me get the missing information for this window type? Its an xyz size blah blah blah but I cant find the technical information online in order to complete the building code calculations for light and airHer: Did we give you this window?Me: No you didnt. But you were the nearest silverline dealer to my physical location so you showed up as my contact.Her: Well you should just measure the window in front of you instead of calling for that.Me: Im sorry, I dont have the window in front of me, I have the specs for it. Maybe I didnt explain well: I have the specs because the window was ordered but the window has not arrived yet and I need the information for my architectural drawings to submit to the building department so I hoped you could help.Her: Well if I had the TIME to look that information up I could do it but it is Friday at 3 pm on a HOLIDAY weekend and I have a desk full of things that I have to do and I didnt provide the window to you so you need to just call who you got it from because I dont have the time for this.Me: Ok, have a great day.Based on this interaction, I assume 3 things:1) if I WERE a customer, she would be too busy for me because she is clearly overworked.2) if I WERE a customer, she probably wouldnt listen to me (and when you dont listen, things go wrong) ie: this is a standard size window and there are tables of information I just cant find them so it could be as simple as sending me a PDF of the correct table or directing me to it so I can find the information myself.3) There are about 40 different, nicer, more professional ways she could have said what she needed to say but she treated me like a spam caller instead of treating me like even a POTENTIAL client (hello! I didnt provide THIS window, but heres an opportunity to have a new potential client who owns a business that needs my services so Im going to treat her like I would a customer, golden rule, or any other servicial way to speak to someone and perhaps Ill gain her future business).While I understand that it is advisable to contact the person who provided the window (there was an assumption here that I hadnt already tried that and not been able to get hold of them for 3 days which is an entirely separate issue I have to deal with), this person was straight up rude, and I wouldnt want to work with a company that finds that customer service acceptable. Whats more, if I were Silverline windows directing potential customers who want info on my products to this company, I would probably have just lost that potential business.Maybe its better if youre her customer, but Im no longer interested in finding out.

First time I actually been here. But I will say this. They do have surperior building materials. Everything that I gotten is straight and of good quality. Even had a bit of a billing issue and the man at the front desk took his time to make sure it was correct. Couldnt of been happier. Could of been a lil quicker but still happy

Ive never been to a lumber supplier even close to as professional and thorough as Richie was. Not only did they have clear Birch plywood cheaper than Home Depot but they were super helpful. Walked in to their air-conditioned showroom, which considering I thought I was headed to the lumber yard came as a pleasant surprise. A gentleman named Richie asked me what I was looking for as well as what the project was and provided alternatives I hadnt considered. Even when they found out I was the DIY guy (who is normally hated at most lumber yards Ive been to in the past due to DIYers just buying one or two pieces of lumber from a yard where theyre used to clients buying by the truckload) they were super informative about what they had in stock and assured me they could order anything I needed. Really impressed by this business overall. Would give it six stars if I could.

I went at this place on July 14 and I had really bad experience with the inside sales man (Pete Fife).He was so disrespectful and rud .when I was tried to make few cuestions about the cuote and prices he was mad and answered bad way wich make feel uncomfortable!!!!

Stay open a few extra minutes for me. I needed few sticks of base for a job I was behind schedule on and they accommodated me without hesitation. Good folks and excellent pricing on a good selection of trim board. They carry or can order lots of quality building products.
