Our AC broke on our way back home from our 4th of July vacation. We were 4 hours away from home, no AC and 92 degrees. Looked for the nearest shop and found this place!!! And WOW! Excellent service, super professional and fast! They had great communication with us, explained everything they found and in just 10 minutes our AC was working like new!! Highly recommended!!!

I went to this location and not my normal mechanic because this place was the closest place to me at the time. I was having ac issues and decided to pop in. I told them my ac was blowing hot air and that my engine was beginning to overheat. They said they couldnt do much diagnostic work without doing a full evacuation and recharge. I agreed to it at the tune of $58 as I didnt see much other options. They came back with $1200 worth of problems with my car encouraging me to do the work to have it fixed. They suggested that I not drive my car much until the work had been completed as I could kill my engine. I decided to go with my gut and have it looked at by the mechanic I usually see with any issues and they couldnt find a single problem other than the fact my ac had almost no freon in it. When I went back here to ask the guy why there was no freon since I did pay for a evacuation and RECHARGE, he said its an additional charge to keep the freon and its not like its doing me good anyway he had been polite up until the point that I had said I took it somewhere else and my car was found out to be fine. Its so incredibly disappointing to me that I feel that I was attempted to be taken advantage of because I am a woman who doesnt know much about cars. I will not return here and would never reccomend anyone else here.

My autos A/C was taking longer than I was used to for it to get cold. I had passed Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair many times and decided to stop in. I didnt have an appointment but Kyle said that if I could wait, they would take a look at my system to determine the problem. There was a leak in the A/C. I was given two options for repairing the issue. The repair took about 45 minutes, the price was fair, and I drove off in a much cooler car.This establishment is a full auto maintenance / repair shop. And, of course, they can provide Ice Cold Air. Outright Scam 🤥😨😩 Seriously,Maybe it used to be a good honest family owned business... not anymore.Beginning this year I been diagnosed for the AC evaporator leak, took a bad advice from the owner to do a stop leak that did nothing, I found out is $20 additive they charged me $400 forNow 8 months later I have written estimation by Mike for leak in the evaporator, accumulator and orifice they want $700.Right now Im at the Bill Currie shop looking on the AC coil the only point that has the leak.$1100 out of the pocket for nothing...That wasnt the only issue, too.

Want to know why things stop working after your trip to this place? They will mess with other fuses and things in your car to bring you back to spend more money. They love taking advantage of older men and women. We have found multiple markings on our fuses that werent there before their shop touched our car. All we did was push them back in and some of our issues were like brand new. They want you to bring your car in and spend top dollar on things they didnt even replace. We are still wondering how our ac suddenly stopped working after taking our truck to get something else fixed.... So many fraud car shops in the area. Also do not respond asking me to contact you because I see how you handle other complaints. Very unprofessional and predictable. Especially coming from scammers.

Had an unexpected problem with rear passenger window on an older BMW. Dropped the car off, received a reasonable quote to replace the regulator (which was less than what a dealership charged 2 years ago.) Work satisfactorily performed; tech even replaced the interior trim piece on the window that was loose.Great service, will return.

For my Mercedes E320, Shawn charged me for my air compressor and condenser $1300 assuring it will last for years, unit broke down in 4 months, took it back, said their are leaks other places, they repair in such a way that your other PARTS WILL BREAK DOWN, plus they won’t honor warranty horrible service, brought it to owner’s daughters attention who is management, she won’t help . Lost lot of money repairing at this facility poor quality work which breaks down. Repair at your own risk!!!! Never Going Back . People who don’t have car knowledge are easy bait for them, I felt cheated :(

Brought my Toyota into these guys when the air started blowing warm. They diagnosed my car and said the ac evaporator and condenser was leaking. They gave me a price of $1800 dollars and was being very pushy. My car has only 62k miles so I was skeptical at this point that the evaporator went out. I took my car to another shop specializing in Toyota’s and was told that the high pressure hose was leaking covered in oil when the tech showed me. They retested the evap and condenser and found no signs of leak. My total cost was $325 for the repair 4 months later ac is blowing ice cold! These guys are crooks and should be shut down for there shady dealings!

Had a great and seamless experience, appointment was scheduled, dropped off the car and handed Cassey the keys she called me back couple hours latter for pick up. Price is super reasonable and the repair comes with 2 years warranty. Very pleased and highly recommended.

Very happy with the oil change service. You never know what you are getting...however after sitting in the waiting room and observing the service writer interact with customers I felt confident this is a good shopThey have a cool dog, but more importantly both customers who came in had obviously been there before and knew about the Service writer and each other’s families. I think she said her dad owns the shop.They very politely and professionally offered additional services, but I just didn’t have the time today...I will be going back.

I am extremely pleased. They are great! My car wasnt able to keep up with the Florida summer sun. I was able to get in right away. They found 2 leaking valves, quickly replaced them and recharged my A/C. Now the air is ice cold. Oh, I also had them flush and replace my brake fluid while I was there. I will be taking my car back here. They do great work, and they are quick, efficient and affordable. Oh, and my car is a Porsche, and they didnt try to treat me any differently. Im certain it was a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealer. And if I would have tried to do the work myself, I probably would have fiddled with it for a week since I dont do this for a living. Thank you so much!

Awesome!! Is the best word to describe the service at Ice Cold Air. I have taken my car to this location numerous times and have always left satisfied. On one than more occasions I left more than satisfied. My air conditioner wasn’t working and when I called today to make an appointment Joey answered the phone and told me to go ahead and bring it in now and they would take a look at it. When I did they were super-fast and the next thing I know Joey walks up to me smiling and I said “Well, you’re smiling hopefully its good news”. He says with a smile “The compressor wasn’t plugged in”. What a relief! And I was wondering how much it was going to cost me and when I asked, “How much do I owe you for the diagnostic at least?” He says “Don’t worry about it”. VERY!! Honest and respectable business owner. I would recommend this place to everyone! Absolutely the best in town!

I took my car in for a problem I had with my air conditioning system, and they fixed it beautifully for half of the cost of their competition. I then learned that they do much more than a/c work. They have very experienced technicians that can do just about anything. Kevin in the front office is great to work with and keeps me informed throughout the process. Very friendly! I purchased a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change. They were honest with my inspection and didn’t push or pressure me to have service done that I wasn’t there for. I was in and out within an hour for oil change, Fluid top off, tire rotation and inspection. Offering a 15% discount if I come back for the couple things I do need done to my car. My wife brought her Mazda in for repairs on her transmission and 4,000 dollars later she said to me I transferred my trust to the new owners and what a bad mistake. We used to be treated fairly there,but we will never use or recommend them again. If you make the mistake of going there,get a second opinion

I won’t ever go to Ice Cold Air again since I believe being a women they took advantage with pricing. They wanted $570 for brake pads for my Honda Accord. Other places were $320. After another place inspected my car they said the front brake pads were still good. Their recommendation was to wait and do rotors and pad when its needed(since they felt the rotors couldn’t be resurfaced again). Their quote was $630 for rotors and brakes which is a more normal price.

My AC went out. This place is open on the weekends, quick, good value, and within walking distance to the mall. Went to the food court. Before I was done, they called to let me know my car was ready.

I was having an issue with the ac system in my Honda Fit. It was blowing hot air at first for about 5 mins before eventually kicking in with cold air. I took my vehicle to a few shops for estimates and the first shop told me I would need to pay over $900 for repairs. The 2nd shop I took my vehicle to was Ice Cold Air. Immediately, I was impressed with their customer service. Kevin was the adviser who helped me and he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. I informed them of the first estimate I received. Using this information they couldve quoted me something right around this price but instead Ice Cold Air inspected my vehicle and found that I only needed to replace a relay and they fixed my issue for less than $70. They took care of this repair quickly and got me back on the road. If you are looking for a shop to be honest, fair and with pleasant staff this is the place for you. They have earned my business going forward for sure.

Very poor knowledge about auto refrigeration systems. They are making up any reason they can to charge the customer for items not required. I was a refrigeration engineer and know these people do not know what they are doing. There are many better companies in the area than these people. Do not go there.

First they fixed my AC replacing the seized compressor and other necessary components.Then, when the replacement compressor was faulty from the factory they were very quick fixing that.Next my car died on me in the road. They were able to diagnose the failure of the alternator and had it replaced same day.They have earned my future business and my recommendation to others.

These guys dont overcharge are quick to find whats wrong with your vehicle and keep you informed of the process! We are so happy with ALL the work theyve done in our vehicles!

I have had work on my Jetta two weeks ago and the engine light came back on. I was able to get there before work and Kevin did a great job of getting a tech. to check the code and printed the work they completed when I was there two weeks ago. Kevin told me that they would check it and make sure that if it was something they worked on that there would be no charge. Low and behold, the code came back for EVAP leak....fuel gas cap was not sealing. Kevin recommended I purchase new cap from dealer because the after market caps have issues and I was not charged any $$$. Nice people to work with. I will keep going back.

I have a 2011 Chevy Camaro that needed the AC evaporator replaced. Because the geniuses at Chevy designed the vehicle in such a way, replacing this part meant my entire dash board and windshield had to be removed. I had the repair quoted at a Tires Plus and a Chevy dealer. Ultimately decided to go with the Tires Plus because the dealers price was outrageous and they all but guaranteed me they would break the windshield and I would have to pay to replace it. Dropped the car off at Tires Plus and 30 minutes later got a call saying they couldnt do the repair because they couldnt remove the windshield. They recommended Eddie at Ice Cold Air and I went to see him fully expecting more bad news. Not only did Eddie and James get the job done but they beat everyone elses price! Even though they couldnt take the windshield out themselves, Eddie called at least 4 auto glass places until he found someone who would agree to do the job. Ive never had someone go so above and beyond to help me as Eddie did. This was a monster job that no one wanted to touch but Eddie and James did not shy away. This is wonderful shop and they have a new customer for life! Keep up the great work guys!

Long post but read this, it includes AC technical information as well that may save you from wasting a lot of money and unnecessary repairs!My experience with them - My AC was intermittently stopping, it would blow warm air awhile and then if I reset the system or on its own it would go back on. I went to Ice Cold Air based on advertised being a fraction of the dealers, will beat any quote, and free A/C check, in reality, none of the above.AC check is not free, if anything involving evacuation and charge is needed, then its $129. (the dealer charges that as well but then puts that amount towards repair) I said okay, tech then said pressure was way too high, (it was 40/225 on a 95 degree day)and that means there is a restriction in my condenser and it needs to be replaced. It felt like a guess in the diagnosis, and I said, Are you positive that is it, its not an electrical problem or anything else? He said its definitely the condenser. So I had them replace it. $650.After a few miles, it did the same issue AGAIN. I returned next day since already end of the day. I returned when the problem was happening, and the tech then checked the power to the compressor and said the compressor was bad. Now Id have to pay $1100 for a new compressor. (dealer about same price, seems their only discount is if getting non dealer parts that are cheaper, but labor is same as dealer)I was upset, and said that he said it was definitely the condenser and that would be it. The owner was in that day, he said well yesterday it was the condenser, and now your compressor is bad. I said No, it was the compressor all along, you didnt diagnosis it properly. They said, no your pressure was too high, the condenser HAD to be replaced, it was DEFINITELY a restriction, so unfortunately both things had to be done, if you dont believe me call another AC person. So I called Fitzgerald dealer, asked them if pressure was 40/225, does that mean the condenser was restricted? They said that 40/225 on a hot day 95 degrees is normal. The owner at the store said that is wrong and his tech did too. They also said they dont have a crystal ball, they had NO WAY to know that the compressor was bad too, until AFTER replacing the condenser. After back and forth arguing, we agreed to think about it and I would return the next day. I got it diagnosed at the dealer and found this out.....if there is a restriction, pipes can be hooked up or other ways to confirm beyond a doubt, vs just high pressure. A restriction would also have low pressure, not both having high pressure, as it would reduce the flow on the other side. AND since my AC was cutting on and off, if the tech at AC Cold Air waited for that to happen (which is what Fitzgerald did) then they would see that no power going to compressor, because if there was power going to the compressor, then that would be a relay switch, and either the issue of the switch or a bad relay.Point is, AC problems CAN be confirmed, you should NOT pay for a repair, then suddenly the same problem, and them acting like we dont have a crystal ball, we cant know for sure, if a repair doesnt fix it, it may be because they didnt do all the work to diagnosis it properly.I did research that night, also found general guidelines for pressure showing 40/225 is normal in mid 90 weather. And called another shop as well, who said the same thing. I return to ICE Cold Air the next day to speak with the owner again. They dont care what the other places said, said they are lying or wrong, I said I wanted them to put the old condenser back on, initially they refused, then agreed to put old one back on and refund me. Since it was somewhat hostile situation then, I made sure to watch from outside the shop as they did it. Then I went to the dealer and they replaced the compressor. Its been over 1 week since I have the original condenser back on, and zero problems with my AC, confirming never an issue with the condenser! Hope you learn a few things on auto AC from this and avoid the same problem.

Buddy of mine brings his car in for an oil change with a Groupon and starts it twice after leaving the auto repair center and the car has oil spewed all over the engine compartment. The battery light goes off and the car dies and wont restart. We check the oil level and the dipstick shows thats its over a half quart over the fill line not including all the oil all over the engine compartment. Repair center says its not their fault!! Thanks for the reply CAN YOU REPLY WITH WHY WAS THE DIP STICK RECORDING OVER HALF QUART OVER THE FULL LINE?

Ive ran into a few guys at the front desk over the past two years and never once have i left upset. The work ive had done as always been well done and at a reasonable price. Ive also been fortunate to have them inspect issues for me and they arent pushy about getting the business because i like to take care of the little jobs i can handle myself. Never once have they charged me to inspect, which to me buys my loyalty. I recommend this shop to anyone, especially you!

We were having trouble with our AC, Eddie and Mike fixed our Nissan for significantly less than Lokey down the street. A couple of weeks later we got a warning light that was technical service bulletin. The service was covered by Nissan, Eddie printed the information so we could talk it to Lokey. Nissan wanted to charge us several hundred dollars for the covered repair. Eddie got on the phone with the the incredibly rude Nissan service advisor and made sure that we werent charged. Ice Cold Air is high quality, great service, great value and most importantly you can trust Eddie and Mike.

My experience with Ice Cold AIr was first rate, very fair prices and fast service. I am a car guy and generally do my own work but there are some things I have to leave to the pros and A/C is one of them These guys took very good care of my vehicle and they have won my business.

I have spent $1,200 and my vehicle still has the SAME exact problem it had when I came in. So it is in their shop again for the third time. I will update this review depending on what they do. If they ask for more money to fix what they never fixed in the first place this review will not get any better.

Scam. Scam. The place in Clearwater scammed me into spending 100$ for absolutely nothing. Mechanic came back telling me it’s 1500$ for my quote. I can’t afford that for at the moment, who can? But of course the “Free “ A/C check up was 100$ and I drove out of there feeling like an idiot paying 107$ to be exact. Worse place in the world. Just want to make a fast buck.

Walked in at 4:45 with no A/C. Walked out at 5:15 with A/C!! Excellent service and great prices!!

Bought a brand new power steering pump/pulley ($90) from Advanced and took it to them. When I returned they had broken both, threw them back in the box and told me too bad, buy better parts next time. No apology. Started to complain and I was told to get out and dont come back.

AC quit working. Dennis and the team had my 2011Escape in and out in no time and the Ac was Ice cold.Very professional. I would highly recommend!!

I took my acura rsx to be looked after my AC did not work. They say it would be free for diagnostic however they had to charge to for filling the gas. It usually costs about $30 to fill. However, they charged me nearly $ 100 to get it filled. I asked they to inject the dye so we could find where the leakage. However, they did not perform that. In addition, they told me that the car would need a new compressor, costing approximately $ 1200. I refused. Apparently, the ac worked well after that after 2 years. It only needed to have the gas refilled. I do not recommend this place at all. Extremely dishonest. So if your car AC malfunction, take it to somewhere else. Always get second opinion when they want to charge thousand dollars to fix something. Someone should investigate on this business.

Let me start by saying Kevin (with a K) inside joke, and James worked hard to find out what my problem was with my 88 Monte Carlo and even went as far as to call ahead for the parts I needed to ensure they were in stock, so I had no trouble picking them up I was truly blown away by his willingness to assist and go the extra mile ! Saved my mom around 600.00. She had an estimate of 830.00 to fix her AC and they found it was an o ring and not what the other place had said needed.

Avoid this shop. I took my 89 Conquest TSi there when they opened and sat in their waiting room for almost 3 hrs. When I finally asked about the status of my vehicle, they said they needed to order a fitting for the compressor and the UPS man would bring it shortly. Paid over $200 to have the system evacuated and recharged. System was leaking on the way home due to a faulty pressure switch. I mentioned that I had a new one on order and would like to bring the car back in for a recharge and they said they would not quote me over the phone, but it would be atleast an additional $50. This place is shady... I waited 3 hrs for a 5min job that wasnt done properly. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!
