Overpriced as compared to every other mechanic in the area and they tried to pull a fast one by charging more than promised. Dishonest. Would not recommend.

The manager gave me a quote to do a diagnostic. I asked if he wanted me to sign a work order, no, not a problem. The diagnostic would be done in half an hour. And he would call me to give me a quote for the repair...After several hours I had to call back to find out what the result of the diagnostic was. He then said he would call me back with a quote for the repair. Midday the *next day*, they finally get the quote to me. It was twice every other local mechanic.Then my girlfriend goes in to pick up her car, so she could take it to another mechanic. The guy working there tried to charge her twice the original quote for the diagnostic.I would never recommend this place to anyone. Slow service, trying to criminally charge more than the agreed upon rates. And the back smelled like pot.

John was great. I was in a pickle with an older vehicle. John didnt mince words and got me back up and running in a few days. Another shop had it two weeks and did nothing.

Sorry, John was a nice guy but after about 4 weeks of my car sitting there and these guys replacing random parts, the intermittent no-start issue still persists just days after picking it up. Now that just about everything fuel and ignition related has been replaced, I can only assume that Ive got a electrical issue or ecu failure. Unfortunately, I spent roughly $800 with them to get nowhere. In a bad spot, been out a vehicle for months now and have no funds left to have a professional repair it. I talked about leaving a decent review with them until I realized time & money was wasted...

I was referred to john at ace auto from another repair shop that couldn’t figure out a difficult electrical problem. John assured me he could fix my car, he told me he has been doing auto electric for 34 years. He found the problem the next day and got me my car back the following day. Didn’t charge me and arm and a leg and my car runs perfect again. He gained a customer for life! Thanks

Best auto mechanic in town. His shop is always busy, I dont mind waiting, because John and his crew are the best. His prices are fair and his work is recommendable.

Great competent group of mechanics

I called this place because it came up in a search for transmission repair in a search. It was also convenient because its in my neighborhood. My 06 Muranos transmission went out in June of 2020. At that time, we called another shop to find out how much we were looking at price-wise. CVT are not cheap. Fast forward to the stimulus time and we could afford repairs.They had to order my transmission, and when they went to install, found some other repairs that would be coming soon, and would be quite pricey if the engine was back in the car. Not at any point did I feel like they were trying to push repairs. Every step was communicated and left for me to decide what I wanted to do.I really would recommend them to anyone looking for a local, honest, and ( lets be honest here) interractions free from man-splaining/patronizing. They stay busy, but are efficient.

Brought my car by for a routine maintenance and it should have been done that day. Never got a call back to tell me other wise. When I finally got my car back, what was supposed to be done was not done and they charged me for it anyway. When I brought this up with the owner John, he tried to tell me some BS excuse and got angry and spoke to me with an attitude.I brought you my car to do a service. I payed for something that was not done and got yelled at on top of it when I brought it up. Totally unprofessional and what and AS*SHOLE owner for that. Obviously I wont be back. This is a real customer experience that got totally ripped off.

They took me right away and communicated clearly what my car needed. Fair prices and fast service! I won’t go anywhere else!

This auto repair shop is like no other he is the best and they are awesome at what they do. Before this coming here I had to take my car to two different places and they could not fix it. And I took my car to the auto clinic and they were very respectful honest and got the job done and was very fair on the price . If I was able to give more than five stars I would. I also would never go to another autobody shop ever they have earned my trust as well as my confidence in them to fix any other car issues that happened in the future. Thank you guys so much !

Fair prices, customer service is hit or miss, turn around time is pretty quick. im torn between 4 or 5. they are good at what they do

At first I thought they were very good but kept on bringing my car back because of faulty parts that were put in. Frosting on the cake after spending over 800.00 my car broke down on Missouri Ave. 5 minutes after driving from the mechanic. Faulty cable from spark plug replacement. Next day car car leaking from the radiator. Faulty radiator cap they had put on. Next day car chugged terribly at stop light. Told it was a bad AMI and replaced for 500.00. Next day engine light came on. Spark plug misfiring. John the owner when I questioned some things was very short and abrupt. I asked if Platinum plugs were put in and he abruptly replied I put in what Toyota sent me. Finally took my car to another mechanic who checked everything over and was told I needed Platinum plugs which I knew but they were not put in. Also the wiring Ace had done was all messed up as well as two hoses which were connected wrong. I learned a valuable lesson. Dont believe all those great reviews. I took a big loss but at least I feel confident in driving my car now that everything is fixed properly. Surprised Ace is in business. Smile in your face and rob you behind your back.

They are great! They replaced the power window motors in my truck and got everything working correctly. Worth every penny. Very honest shop and treat you like a friend and not just another customer. I will definitely be recommending John to anyone needing repairs. My truck will also see this shop again when needed. Thanks again, guys!

Ive gone back to this mechanic over and over again for our mini van. They have done professional work for very reasonable prices. I have been to several mechanics that have tried to rip me off and have done poor work. I was weary at first about this place as it is not pretty by any means. It is just a small place, but they do a great job. The go above and beyond and keep it affordable for the pocket book. They have even given me and my three kids in car seats a ride home when I needed it! You just cant beat that! I highly recommend this place.

My expectations of a mechanic are pretty high when it comes to my 2013 Chevy Silverado. The owner John has impressed me time after time. He has a passion for his work and it shows. Service to speak of is becoming scarce all over town in every trade and it is disturbing! Customer service is why I give 5 stars! My last truck 99 GMC Sierra 213,000 miles under Aces care and still ran strong! Fair prices, reliable, and backs his work. My first visit to Ace Auto was in may 2001. I have never spoken to another mechanic since.

I had my Honda Odyssey Van brought for an oil leak and engine light sensor malfunctioning issue. They did an excellent job repairing it with a great low price. I would highly recommend him for all auto related repairs.

Dishonest went in for a full inspection. they told me my battery was bad and needed replacement,little did they know I had warranty on it and went to double check at an auto parts. my battery is in perfect condition! they were just trying to sell me a battery...

John has been my mechanic for over 10 years now and going strong!

I only came to this shop for a front end alignment because I had replaced radius arm bushings and shocks, I do all the work on my car, but doing an alignment isnt something you can do at home by yourself. I brought my the correct camber sleeve that would be needed for the alignment and droped my truck off on a Tuesday morning. I got a call later that day from the owner John he said I needed new tie rods because they had play in them I knew they were not bad I and had installed them myself 5 months earlier and had it aligned at another shop, I explained this to him and he called back a bit later and said the castle nuts were loose on them so they just needed to be tightened and there was a bolt missing on one side of the Sway bar. I called back on Wednesday afternoon to see if it was almost done and i was told it was on the lift and he would call be back shortly I never got a call back. I called again the next afternoon and was told it was finished but they had spent 4 hours trying to remove the old camber sleeves and 2 hours to tighten the castle nuts on the ball joints and tie rods and apparently they decided to tighten my wheel bearings as well even though they are suppose to only be about hand tight. I have done all these things myself and I dont know how it could have taken more than an hour to do in a shop when I did all that and more in my driveway in a weekend. The bill came to over 500 they took two hours of labor off thankfullyof course I was extremely surprised as I just came in for an alignment and I had even brought my own parts. Now months later here I am cleaning up the mess of someone I payed to fix my vehicle, The bolt they replaced with in my sway bar was the wrong size and had about 8 washers on it to try and compensate it was causing my vehicle to pull and a metal vibration noise when I went over bumps. I would not recommend this shop I was out of a vehicle for 3 days overcharged and basically lied too

Not a good shop i had a fuel pump installed and it went bad 13 months later. we looked up the part number and they used the cheapest crappiest fuel pump they could find. they will smile in your face and #@$& in the back side. find another shop.

Run away greedy owner. Service is bad. They tell you your car is fixed and 3 weeks later you have the same problem. You go back and they will not fix but tell you its something more expensive wrong with your car.Beware!!.

Knew exactly what to do to keep me on the road and afford to stay there. My new go to shop.
