I have been purchasing my steel materials from Alro since 1982. They used to have a full service warehouse about a block North of their present location. and back in the day some of my orders totaled over 10, 000 pounds. Through the years the staff and workers has always been great. Now that Im retired, I like the outlet because you can buy just what you need and not the full length of the various materials. This may be the convenience store of metal service centers, and they found their niche in the steel supplier industry.

Every time I call they say theyll call back take my number and never call me back. Once I find time to go in myself, after waiting around for a long time to just talk to some one. After that the its not bad at all. Hence 3 stars.

This place is a metals outlet so they might not have what you need. When they do, and they often do, they are a lifesaver.Their prices are a little hard to take at times. Remember though that it is a place you go to when you are in a bind. That is worth $$$.

I am a metal artist that uses Alro as my only metal supplier. They are a great bunch of guys that always get the job done in an accurate timely manner and make my life easier. The manager Jon Carney always makes sure I am taken care of and always on point. These guys rock.

Over priced. Check other vendors first. for what i paid for a 3/4 x4 flat bar5ft long i could of bought a 20ft piece at another vendor for less.
