Staff was very friendly and suggested multiple cookie combinations. The red velvet ice cream sandwich was amazing! Prices were surprisingly cheap. Ill never go to insomnia again.

Rating: 4.0 StarsI am a huge Hot Box fan--just reference my reviews for the CWE location for proof. After a failed attempt to go to Crumbl Cookies, I decided to give this location a try. I ordered online and arrived for pick-up. The space was small, and it is not as nice or complete as the CWE location. There were several customers in the store.When I gave the employee my name, she informed me that they were out of Red Velvet Cookies and did not have my complete order of Gooey Louies! She was apologetic and let me pick other cookies. The cookies were as tasty as always, but they could have been a little warmer. I was somewhat disappointed that the cookies were sitting out on a tray on a wrack and not in a warmer! Oh well. If I am in the neighborhood, I will be back. Otherwise, I will stick to CWE!

What an awesome store with AMAZING cookies! The perfect selection, too. We found it by accident and we’re so glad we found it. Looking forward to the next time we’re in the area and can stop by again. THANKS!

Unlike some of the other reviewers every cookie was in available. They were not out of anything. I paid about $17 for a dozen cookies. I took a few pictures so you could see the size of the cookies. The inside was very clean and I was greated with a smile. That is always appreciated.

I was told my order would be ready at 10:10. I got there at 10:10. The big girl working said she had just started baking my order of 50 cookies. She did not apologize at any point. Also she only had a glove on one hand.

The cookies are fresh, soft, and chewy and the customer service is amazing every time! The staff is the best.

Cookies are always warm, gooey, and fresh. Theyre open at just about any hour that youll find yourself craving cookies. Nothing to complain about here! Id rate them as slightly better than the similar-styled business Insomnia Cookies.

I was sooooo surprised to see this place was still opened, pandemic and all. I walked into the store and the guy just stared at me. I know I’m breathtaking!! Lol 😂 I began asking about cookie availability and he seemed bothered by my geekiness about cookies. He just seemed perturbed, period!! DO NOT order cookies here for delivery. I ordered a small party pack for a friend on their birthday as I could not see them.The order never arrived, and when I called they argued with me that it was the wrong address, when it was correct. I am a customer service agent for a different company and the associate I talked to at Hot Box was EXTREMELY rude to me when I asked for help and continued to dispute with me even thought they had the wrong information. I eventually was able to get a refund and then was immediately disconnected. I was so embarrassed and disappointed that this gift never arrived and no one offered a solution to help correct it. I will be contacting the BBB if I do not receive my refund within the next 3-5 days. Absolutely disappointed and would never order from here again.

Somehow, my order was messed up, so leaving a note on the note section does nothing. I love these cookies though. I knocked off a point because the girl just threw the cookies in the box after fixing the order, and the sheets in between cookies was missing. Otherwise, no complaint.

I tried to order cookies online and the website wasnt working. Next, I tried to call the store and no one answered. This was shortly before 11pm so they werent closed. This would have been my first time ordering. First impression is a lasting impression. Not a good look.

Awesome place. Great selection and the cookies smell like heaven. Price is a little high, but dayum they are good. My 11 and 14 year old could only eat 2 each while at the store so plan accordingly.

Fantastic place with the best cookies Ive ever tasted. They really are hot and fresh too. Before now I wouldnt have thought about coming to a store solely to buy cookies.. But now I think I might make another trip tomorrow just to get more! If you havent tried this place youre missing out!

I scheduled a delivery for my brother and his fiance with Hot Box because I believed they used their own delivery drivers. Third-party delivery services often have issues, so I considered it a big plus that Hot Box offers delivery themselves.Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that Hot Box sometimes uses Door Dash to fulfill its delivery orders. I had mistakenly entered an address a few houses down from my brothers residence, and the Door Dash delivery driver carelessly disposed of or stole the cookies after minimal/no effort to solve the problem over the phone. She said she had arrived 15 minutes early, but was unwilling to wait an extra minute or two for my brother to make his way down the street. She claimed she would just leave them in the bushes, which is a ridiculous action in itself, but when my brother came outside a minute later she had already driven off and the delivery was nowhere to be found. The delivery driver would not answer the phone after that; I suspect she kept the order for herself.Since Hot Box outsourced the delivery, both parties were able to shrug their shoulders and place the blame the other direction. Nothing was able to be done.

Closed early tonight. Went by 15 minutes before close and the door was locked. Ive been by at this time many times before (working overnights this is about the only time I can come over) and never had a problem.

Terrible customer service. I called to place a curbside order and I was told it would take 30 mins at 8pm on a Friday night. There was a lot of ruckus in the background, which clearly let me know I needed to pass on placing an order here.

SO, so good! Every cookie Ive tried (which is close to all of them), has been great. That said, my favorites are definitely the Cookies n Creme, Monster, M&M, and Reeses Pieces Peanut Butter. They melt in your mouth and are great alone or with the ice cream they serve.I read the other reviews about bad service and waiting, but I never really encountered that as I always got delivery. Sometimes it might take a bit, but no longer than any other individual deliveries for smaller places. It never took more than an hour from when I was ordering and when I received it, and like I said, I was anticipating at least 30-45 min at least.That said, Ive recently had to move JUST out of their delivery zone, so that sucks lol. Maybe someday itll enlarge slightly. 😁Ive also been in the other location in Central West End several times, but never waited a long time or was treated rudely.

So wife decides she wants cookies. She says Insomnia or Hot Box. I choose Hot Box based on convince. Place online order through their website. Get told to wait till 945 to pick up. Its 9 pm and they close at midnight. We arrive on location excited for some cookies. This was our first time here. I felt prices where high for the cookie size (9 bucks after tax for 6 normal size cookies). I figured it should be worth it for fresh cookies. My wife heads inside and states shes their to pick up an order. The young lady working the counter states her system shows no orders. My wife then proceeds to show her the order confirmation. She still says nothing is in her system. She then says my wife can just order here and she will fulfill the order. So my wife does. The young lady rummages around some cookies and states she has 3 types of cookies available of the dozen options listed online. Only one of which my wife just ordered and paid for. My wife declined those 3 options and instead chose a refund. Suprise the young lady didnt know how to do refunds! She has to wait for her manager to get back. He was 2 minutes away from the store. He gets back and is nice. He states they have a new system and that orders go to a tablet in the back and she just didnt check it for orders. So its either an employee wasnt doing their job or didnt know how. Both of which are on the manager. Im not going to tell you how to run your business, but employees like that get reviews like these. Training goes a long way. Customer service should matter at 10 pm as much as it does at 10 am. Lastly dont advertise your self as a late night cookie destination if you dont have but a few overstock (what the manager called the options available while he kept trying to offer day old cookies again thats what he called them) options. From what your manager says is you make only a certain amount each day. As you sell out you sell out. Thats fine, but dont advertise on your door your cookies are made to order and you are open late for snack time with milk. When 3 hours before you close all you can offer me is some damn oatmeal raisin cookies.

By far the most epic cheat day in the history of fatassery happened here on this sacred ground. This is the mecca of delicious diabetes-inducing cookies and I might die actually, but it would be worth it. Sugar coma, here we come! What do they put in it? Crack. And Im addicted. Goodbye, abs.

Terrible experience. Customer service related. I have sent an email and I am waiting to hear a response. Do yourself a favor and go to the CWE location. The employees at the Clayton location will treat you terribly. Awful experience.

The service was very slow and customer service was pretty bad. I had to wait about 15 minutes for 2 cookies. There was no communication. I think he was trying to get a big pick up order ready but I would think more than one employee would be there at 7pm on a Sunday night.The cookies were delicious and worth the wait. I might just opt for online ordering next time.

Slow delivery- over an hour after estimated time. Forgot an item (milk) from my order that I had already paid for - no offer to refund, but instead delivered that another 30-40min later. Not great service.

DO NOT EVER ORDER FOR DELIVERY!!!!!!! If you MUST eat these cookies, I suggest picking them up yourselves. We ordered from this location for Teacher Appreciation. We placed the order at 11am on a Friday for delivery for 3pm on Monday. 3pm rolls around and they were never delivered. You cannot call the actual store, you call a call-center where they are rude and unhelpful. We demanded a refund by 4:50 when the cookies still had not shown up. A manager then called Tuesday morning and was unable to give us a full refund (???) but offered to have them delivered on Wednesday at 11am. 11am rolls around, no delivery. 11:10am, no delivery. We call. Driver is 5 minutes away. 11:45 rolls around and she finally arrives and completely rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. At least the cookies are good....Insomnia is better.

Really disappointed by the product at the Clayton location. Decided to stop by and try the cookies on Sunday and avoid the protesters in the Loop near Insomnia which is where I usually go. Monster cookie had a distinct burnt flavor while the Snicker doodles were mushy and under cooked. Nothing exciting about the oatmeal decided not to finish it or the chocolate chip.

The cookies are good, the staff is atrocious. Every time weve been in they are out of most of the flavors. You can wait 20-30 minutes... 🙄 This time the manager, I guess, kept being such a jerk we finally gave up. They rang us up for 4 cookies, then discovered they only have 2. We didnt want any of the few remaining options, so asked them to refund us the difference. The manger huffed and puffed about having to do so and then went back to the back. I asked the counter help for a receipt for the refund, to see that it had been a full refund before I paid for another 2 cookies. The manager angrily came up and shoved a slip in front of me and snipped that they need it for their records before storming off to the back again...We wont be back.

Decent cookies, although I wouldnt say there really much better than Insomnia Cookies. Didnt see the Cookie Dough Pucks at this location, but would have loved to try them!

I love these cookies but they are so over priced. I ordered delivery for the first time this week and never again!1st-The first thing that pops up on the website is a discount code for a free delivery but its expired, it should have been removed from the website but it was 3 days after the expiration date and it was still the 1st thing that you see on the website. I was very unhappy I could not use the code.2nd the delivery took an hour and 25 mins for 6 cookies and milk. I was having a really bad day at work so thats why my co-worker and i ordered. it did not help that our moods that it took so long i could have run to get cookies at Schnucks faster and it would have cost a whole lot less.

I have had the cookies before and they a good. I figured I would call my order in because I usually place an larger order for our family and have to wait min. 30 minutes. Well, 40 mins after placing my order I arrive at this location only to find they were just putting my cookies in the oven. Now I have to wait another 30 mins. 1 hr. plus still waiting...

Cookie are delicious but when you order online for delivery they dont tell you how long it will be until after placing the order. And the estimated delivery time is 60 minutes.

12-8-18: I guess the staff wasnt on their A-game today. There was a very small selection (3 types of cookies) available at 8PM and the person taking orders would let me keep making a selection just to tell me that theyre out of that option. Then he did the same thing to each group of people after me instead of just saying, we only have these 3 flavors available and it will be about x minutes for the others and/or we dont have the dough for these flavors.I thought it would be 30 seconds to grab the cookies since I could see the ones I ordered. About 10 minutes go by and I finally get the cookies, but I look and see the cookies that I wanted to order ready to be served! I would have rather been served those if I knew that I was going to be waiting.Also, no one was told why they needed to wait so long nor why so many cookies were unavailable at a time known for having customers.And I asked for ice cream but somehow that didnt manage to get ordered.

OMG...hats off to HOT BOX COOKIES!!!!! They are so amazing!!!! Their Snickerdoodle Cookie taste just like the sweet crust of my grannys peach cobbler. I have had every cookie except those with peanut butter...Sorry I hate peanut butter...LOL!!!! If I had more than 2 thumbs they would all be pointed up for these delish cookies. Oh and the service is fast, friendly and warm!!!

First time I ordered from them for a gift for my wife. They called her and said her cookies were done but they were waiting for a driver. Well it took them an hour to get them to her when she works 4 blocks from where they are located in Clayton. The cookies were cold and you could tell they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. Won’t be ordering from them again after this.
