I work around the corner from Clayton Imports and have been there for both repair work and regular maintenance. Sean has always been accommodating and have always felt they are honest and looking out for my best interests. They removed a nail from my tire free of charge and also repaired an issue I had with my tail pipe for a very reasonable fee that they could have easy charged more for a replacement. I recommend them to any in the Clayton area!

I thought there was more wrong with Betty (1998 BMW Z3) than there actually was. Clayton Imports did a fantastic job and fixed everything. They are honest mechanics and I feel so lucky to have chosen them to take care of Betty.

I found out the $2,000 it was going to cost to fix it wasnt the issue at all. Clayton Imports were able to correctly diagnose the problems and fix the vehicle at a fraction of the cost. We have taken my wifes Honda Odyssey Minivan there many times and have never had a problem with the work performed or the staff that did it.I dont normally recommend companies that do anything to friends because if something does go wrong I dont want them to feel like I let them astray. But in this case I have recommended them to two of my friends and I think that their experience was even better than mine.

Happy with the service I received. I got an NC inspection and oil change for my 2012 Nissan Frontier. No major work was done, but the staff was friendly, service was quick, and I was on my way in a timely manner. Cant expect more than that.

I just read a review on my phone that wasnt very complimentary so I thought I would share my experience.I took our GLC300 to them a few months ago after spending over $1100.00 on my last oil change. I had to wait and expecting to spend a few hours in the shop as they were going rotate the tires, alignment, top off all the fluids yada, yada....To the point, the problems were quickly diagnosed and fixed much sooner than I expected as were some other issues Carymissed??? this shop KNOWS German cars AND I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone with a foreign car, whether its a oil change or a new engine,I will trust Clayton Imports as long as we own a car and we live within 100miles of their shop.. imported car owners, this IS the place!

This company has consistently given me amazing customer service. Ive purchased a car from them, but before that, when I still had my beater, they treated her with the same dignity I did :)I got my first oil change with them yesterday and was surprised at the price.I spent about $20-ish less than at Jiffy Lube, for extra frills AND better service. I couldnt believe I had been wasting my time with Jiffy Lube for so long! Thank you guys at Clayton Imports, and keep up the good work!

Hard to win new customers and easy to lose them. Dropped Audi off on Friday for an easy tail light replacement and DMV annual inspection. Was told could not do the work on Friday but will have it Monday, Monday at 1::30pm I was told they will not have it Monday, so how does a company that wants customers handle this - “sorry for the problems we cause you let us offer the inspection for free”. How does Clayton imports handle the situation - hopefully we will have it for you on tuesday. So Clayton imports chose to not inconvenience themselves and lose a customer as I picked up the car to bring it somewhere else that actually wants customers

Have taken great care of my car for two years now, I highly recommend them.

Have used CI several times totalling thousands of dollars. Made an appt. for my car, told them what we thought was wrong, had to have it towed. Heard back a day and a half later. They said they couldnt fix it, didnt have the equipment. So after having paid $80 to have it towed there, I was going to have to have it towed again to Raleigh. He then proceeded to tell me I owed them for diagnostics!?! Like I would have brought it there in the first place! So, over $200 later we are starting repairs with a reputable garage. Lesson learned

I took my vehicle to have some weork done on it a few days before Christmas they could not locate the part which is a craw transmission crossmember I found the part myself. I ask about what the price be to install the new part .I was given a approximate, cost. I was told about 60-85 dollars .so I made an appt for byhev26 of December I was told that they would calle when the work is done. Well I was never called Had I not dropped by I would never known it was done. Next was the big surprise, not only was I not called but the bill was $265. I sure did not expect that.One lie after another. Why did it take 2 hours to replace a crossmemberAt the most it should only take 1 hour. I did ask other places what would charge and 3 of them said $85. So why did I go here? BevauBe of the prior conversation I had with. thank Plus they are only 1ile from me IsouI w have no problem paying $125- &150 for the job especially since I provided the part.that they ssis they couldnt find.If they even looked at all.If you want to be cheated, go there.Not me any more.

Do not go to this shop, They will do anything to try to get around on you or get more money in there pocket. Took my vehicle there for a pre sale inspection for one of there customers, and they wanted to tell me I had a radiator leak and transmission leak along with a few other things. Little do they know I had the truck up on a lift at my own shop an hour before and there was specifically NO LEAKS! You can see where they moved the pinch clamp on the radiator hose so it will drip, If theses guys were a real mechanic theyd realize the only thing it needs is an oil dipstick housing, because howd they check the oil?, first thing anyone or mechanic should do #justsaying

I do not recommend this business to anyone. shaun has a bad attitude and uses google as his primary source of car knowledge. i purchased a car from here and experienced problems soon after purchase. check engine light came on soon after also. requested past repair history and i believe repairs were false because everything they claimed to have fixed is broken ! i inquired about the past timing chain issue/repair and melodie asked “well, did they tighten it” whenever i told her i was informed by an offical GM dealer that the timing chain was loose. when i called back shaun answered, so i asked for a quote after telling him what i needed to be done .. he told me “there’s no way the timing chain could be loose” and they would have to break the engine down in order to find “the real problem”.. not once didn’t i blame them or ask them to fix the car for free ! i asked if i was still covered under the 1yr / 12,000 mile warranty and they said no. i asked if the timing chain warranty was still valid since it was purchased from thompson cadillac (according to the invoice) and melodie said no because “you didn’t pay for the repairs with your own money”. EVEN THOUGH I PURCHASED THE CAR !! so i called thompson cadillac and asked if the parts purchased from them could be covered under warranty even though i didn’t purchase them personally and they said yes, if the company allowed.save your time, money, and energy !! their service isn’t worth the nasty attitude they give along with it !! they don’t even deserve the 1 curtesy star ! KEEP LOOKING !!

My husband and I just moved to the area, and I was unsure of where I could get my Mini Cooper worked on (brakes), as not every mechanic is comfortable with Minis funky German quirks. The guy I talked to was very kind, knowlegeable, was able to get me in on the day I called, AND fixed the issue in a reasonable amount of time. Hooray!!

They are unprofessional and untrained. I went to this shop three times over the last year, which left the car doa ( Full story below if you want the details but here is the short version). Faulty work was done to both the break system and oil system. I was scammed into buying a battery for a dead car. After all this they lied about being able to return a battery until I called the supplier myself who said it wouldnt be a problem. Then Shawn created work that wasnt done and put it on the bill and told me to leave the car with us and you wont have to pay the bill. These guys are scam artists and if you have any other choice please take your car elsewhere.I first took my Miata with 265,000 miles on it to Clayton Imports to fix a seized oil drain plug. They tapped the oil pan and put in a larger plug. Didnt have any problems. The trouble started the second time I went in.I take the Miata back about a month later because the brake fluid light came on. I checked all around the car and saw brake fluid on the passenger side caliper. They replaced the caliper and told me the car was good to go. I take the car just a minute down the block to go home and at the first stop light, the car doesnt brake from the passenger side rear (where they did the work). I call and Shawn sounds irritated that I called but tells me to come back after insisting his tech did everything right but they can look at it if I want them to. Turns out they left the line off of the bracket so the caliper wasnt getting pressure, causing the brake to not work. Extremely unsafe but ok strike one.Driving to work 2 weeks ago, I hear a terrible noise and car cuts off on the highway. Power is on, but wont turn over, wont start. I have it towed to Clayton Imports because they have seen the car twice. I call and let them know when they open what the situation is and ask to be called to let me know what the issue is. Shawn calls a few hours later telling me the battery is dead and they cant check anything else until I agree to pay $210 for them to install a new battery (the power was on when it got towed, it was on when I dropped the keys in the box so I found it strange that they needed a new battery when that one worked but so be it). Shawn calls me in the late afternoon and says it looks like you ran it without oil and the engine is fried. 265,000 miles never an issue with oil, yet they change the plug and now its dead. I ask him if he can return the battery. I dont mind paying the $50 for the time and effort but paying for a $150 battery for a dead car wasnt something I wanted to do. He tells me he will call me back and let me know, he never calls back. So I send a tow truck to pick up the car and they tell me the shop wont release the car until I pay the bill, what bill I never got a call back to my knowledge they returned the battery. I go down to the office and Shawn has no one at the desk yet refuses to speak with me, at this point Im starting to get upset. He tells me to my face without calling anyone that they refused to take the battery back so I still owed them $210 for the car. I ask about returning the battery and he says they wouldnt take it back. At which point I call the supplier myself who says they will have no problem taking it back. Lied right to my face! He calls them back to verify then tells me he will take it off the bill. He comes back with a bill for $156 (My math is $210 - $150 is $60 but hey what do I know). When I try to disput it, he tells me You dont have to pay the bill. You can always just leave the car to us and be on your way. So now lying, faulty work and holding my car as ransom to pay for work that wasnt done.I strongly suggest taking your money elsewhere if you care for your car. These guys are scam artists and will do everything they can to take you for a ride over a dollar. It makes me sick when people work so hard to get one over on you but wont do the real work to keep the doors open.

I had a 2p appointment and it is now 4p. Shawn tells the owner of the vehicle on the phone that the vehicle just got pulled into the garage but Im standing out here in the parking lot with the car! So not only do they ostracize bad customer service but they lie to their customers when they think nobody is lookin!!

Setup an appointment because my CEL was on, they took care of it and did not try to up sell me anything un needed, quick and easy service was hassle free, will reccomend!
