Its Its pretty good sized store. I prefer Home Depot to Lowes. They have a little bit better selection, and theyre cheaper on the same items even just by a little, but their generic brand is way cheaper comparatively to Lowes. I always recommend them, and you can get some house hold items pretty cheap as well. Worth a look around to see what gems you might find.
Wow Im 62on the computer checking out something at Home Depot, all of a sudden areview pop up that I done visit Hone Depot over 1200TIME. Threw the years know one thing I done Spend. Lot of MONEY 💰 I AT LEAST DESERVE SOME KIND OF GIFT CARD DISCOUNT. REALY I DO AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER.... GOD BLESS 💪🙏🙏💛
I’ve tried to give this store so many chances. But the incompetence is absolutely incredible. From people telling me that “I don’t know bout that” to people just walking away from you when you say excuse me. There is absolutely NO ONE in this store that is knowledgeable or knows the basics to even be a good associate. PLEASE challenge me on this and go see for yourself.Tonight was the last straw- I went to get a propane tank. I asked customer service who called an associate who never came. I found an associate who did try and help, but couldn’t open the cages to get any available tanks. Finally he gave me an uncapped tank, I said it’s empty. He said it was good. I said okay- took the light tank home and it’s empty.Went back to the store- told them the issue. They called ab associate who never came. Went the the store front outside and there were two associates trying to help another gentleman looking to purchase a propane tank. They kept hitting buttons that opened every cage but the correct ones (3). They were laughing- myself and the other gentleman were annoyed. I went back into the store and they pulled the manager he was no helpAnd had no knowledge whatsoever.I got refunded for my 60 dollars. Realized wawa had tanks- got one for 20 dollars less and in just twoMinutes. I will never go to this Home Depot again- ever. This is a very poor quality business.
This is my fave local Home Depot. I live 5 mins away, and its tax-free, so thats cool. The staff generally knows what theyre doing. And if not, theyll take the time to get you the help you need. Each are pretty well knowledgeable in their departments. The lines at check-out arerent super long. Quick & efficient experience every time I shop here.
Had a terrible experience while bringing my aunt here to have wood cut. Marcus was amazing and helpful but an employee NICK KING must have thought he was superior or perhaps “King” because he interrupted the employee Marcus who was so kind helping my aunt, just for Nick to stand there and tell the other employee what he can’t do, which he ended up being wrong. He was very much giving Karen vibes in male form. The other employee Marcus, who is African American remained professional and advised us and this bitter employee that he is in fact taking care of us which we appreciated. Nick then stood over him, waited for him to cut the last piece of wood for my aunt and then immediately got in front of Marcus and shut the wood cutting machine down. Honestly it just looked so disrespectful and made me and my aunt uncomfortable. Nick was on a power trip and couldn’t stand that we were not only being helped but that he had to wait his turn, it was a power thing with him. You could tell he was so mad that he had to wait for his african American coworker to finish using the machine first. It was so unprofessional how he kept trying to find reasons why this kind employee couldn’t help us. Once Marcus finished, Nick immediately started loading his wood while Marcus tried to load our cart. I’m not sure who spit in Nicks Cheerios today but being paying well respected customers, my aunt and I deserved better and honestly Marcus the employee who went out his way to help us deserved better also. Thankfully he remained calm courteous and professional through it all, as did my aunt and I. We refuse to let one hateful spirit ruin a beautiful Sunday. I’ll pray for you Nick, no need for me to take on the hate you gave us today. God bless.
Ordered blinds online and was able to pickup from story with no issues. There was a wait at pickup location as the same location is used to handle returns which doesnt always happen in a timely manner. But otherwise no issues.
Why is there nobody to find to ask a question? And we need you to find somebody they have to find somebody else because its not their department. Completely ridiculous. Big box stores might be cheaper but I miss the personal achievement you get at a local hardware store. And a side note when you do find somebody they race through the store and you have to try and keep up with them and stay dont stay with the customer. Very annoying.
I typically don’t review these types of stores as my purchases aren’t custom or complicated but in this circumstance I relied more on the store for help than ever. I made an online order for some shelves and marble tile (13 boxes of tile to be exact). The only reason this gets 2 stars is that the shelves were ready, but the tile was another issue. I placed my order for the boxes of tile and shortly received an email saying my order was ready for pickup. Since this store was a bit of a trip for me to pick up I waited a couple of days (still within the time frame) to pick up the order. I finally had the time to get to the store to pick up my order. When I arrived a woman at the pick up desk assisted me and first brought out my shelves. She then told me the wall tile would be a few minutes as someone in the back had to bring it up. 40 minutes later she came up to me and said that they don’t have the wall tile in stock. I proceeded to ask her why I got an email saying it was ready when really it wasn’t set aside or guaranteed at all. The only response I was given was that a refund would be issued. To me this is poor customer service. I’m not sure how you can tell me something is ready when it’s not even in stock and have me waste my time.
All of the staff Ive interacted with at the Naamamd Rd HD are fantastic and go above and beyond to help when needed.
Its a pretty standard Home Depot in many aspects. However, there are a several of their departments that look like this with many things, including things listed as in-stock, missing and nothing where its supposed to be. Its pretty sparse for employees to help away from the register area, too. The Home Depots in Christiana and New Castle are a lot better stocked and organized. I would highly recommend going there instead.
This location refuses to price compare with their own online prices, I purchased a propane tank and the cashiers called for an associate to come outside and meet me at the propane tanks in 95 degree weather and no one came to help me. I went back in and had them call for help again and after speaking with 4 employees outside the key for the propane tanks was left up front with the cashiers and they had no idea absolutely terrible service
Young man in flooring saw me looking at linoleum, but did not offer help. Finally when I moved towards him he asked. When I picked out the huge roll of flooring, he said I would need to find a hand truck. I searched up and down this huge store only to find out from a customer, there were a bunch of them outside at the far end of the building. I had to wait for another customer to finish loading his truck to get one. It took 2 people to put on cart and me and my daughters had to put in my truck, no assistance was offered. Next time Im going to Lowes. Ill let you know how that turned out.
Great this store in Delaware had just what I needed. Grill pellets. Good price. So I bought 2 bags.
We were so disappointed with recent customer service over the phone that we had no choice but to go in to speak with someone in person. Our appliances purchase experience was horrible. Waited a whole month for delivery then no call no show no refund. We spent several weeks getting nowhere over the phone with empty promises. We are so appreciative that Dee in customer service at the Naamans Road store was so helpful today and quickly resolved our issue (at least the one about the refund). She gets 5 stars.
Bad business! Bought a 600$ grill paid for assembly and delivery. Delivered wrong grill. Then delivered damaged grill with wire hanging off starter switch.Didnt even try to rectify said it was not their issue. I had to hire someone to disassemble and put wire on starter. Claymont is not a good store!
They dont seem to have enough staff. Waited 45 minutes for someone to try and find something for me.
Great store. Friendly staff. Store flows easily. Youre main items are in the center and it fans out from there. With lumber and gardening on the flanks.
Young man in the flooring dept was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Well sorted, well staffed and has a great Home Depot smell to it.
Its okay, but Ill always prefer Lowes to here. Its sometimes really difficult to find what youre looking for, and its also sort of difficult to find an employee to help you out. I would just go on my phone and look for the aisle and bay the thing Im looking for is in, but their website doesnt even have that information available to customers. Unless you know exactly where the thing you need is, youre going to be spending more than half an hour looking for it.
I didnt like the cash register lady she was very ignorant and unprofessional
Great selection,good prices.
Super small store. Check before you go to make sure they have it in stock.
Parking is terrible, Trying to get in and out of the parking area is nightmare at times.
Nice place to shop but didnt have the paint I needed when the website said they had n in stock... 😓 But the employee laughed n said yeah so I hear. Well we dont have everything it says. I said why then do u have false advertising then he said I just work here n for a pay check. Not my business
Place a online order for curbside at 4:06pm. Boxes and shipping tape. Thats it. Nothing difficult. I had to call them until I got there. My order still wasnt ready at 6:30pm. So I had to wait, standing, at the store. When it rolled out finally, was near 7pm. I asked if he could help with loading them and he goes I guess. Well thats because curbside stops at 6. How is them not having my order done within 2 hours is my fault?Staff just doesnt seem to give a sh*t about their customers.
Can always find what Im looking for for my repairs around the house. Good prices also.
I always know where to find what im looking pretty much at home depot, but yesterday morning i needed a particular size and i needed help. I asked a young girl at the window and door desk and her answer was i dont work in this department, so that was the end of that conversation . So i walked down the window row and found this other guy who also answered that he didnt work in that department, so im starting to believe that homedepot is starting to train there employees with the answer i dont work in this department.
My daughter and I had to stop in there late one evening for some help making flag poles out of PVC pipe and such. I wish I would remember the names of the two guys that helped us, but I cant. They were fantastic and went above and beyond with their help. Thanks again so much!
If I could give 0 stars I would! My husband and I purchased a suite of appliances from Home Depot. We also purchased the installation. This has been a nightmare!!!Our scheduled delivery and installation was set for Friday 7/12/19. The crew came in, delivered the refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and range/oven. They were rude and argumentative from the beginning. They never introduced themselves to me. We paid for them to move the fridge from the kitchen to the basement and take away the broken fridge in the basement. One of the guys, Gabe told me they could not do it. That they did not do a triple move. I called my husband who had made the purchase with Jane at Home Depot. He informed Gabe that it needed to be done as it was in our agreement and we had paid extra for it. He said it was company policy not to do a triple move. Gabe did do the triple move. He and his partner took the broken fridge out to the truck loaded it up and took off. They left the 3 other appliances in our dining room still boxed up. The doors on the fridge did not have handles, the doors opened the opposite way and were supposed to be switched around and there was no automatic ice maker with the fridge. He left sheet 2 of 2 on our counter and had scribbled a signature on the contract where you would need to sign the contract delivery section. My husband proceeds to try and contact his rep Jane at the Home Depot to get this situation resolved. Jane happened to be off that day and he got in touch with her coworker Rich Hall. Rich was very helpful and notified the manager on duty Kim Nicholson. Kim assured him this will get resolved, however she was going on vacation for a week and would get someone else on it. She wanted him to take pictures of everything and send an email to them with exactly what was wrong. She said she needed it documented so she could send the info up to corporate to prove what was wrong. He informed her that something is wrong if corporate could not trust a managers word of what happened. He took pictures of everything. Rich called back and got him in touch with the appliance manager Jason Kowalski.Jason contacted my husband on Saturday and said they really could not do anything till Monday. They had a plumber scheduled for Monday to install the gas range/oven because they needed someone to turn off the gas. The plumber came but could not do the install because it needed a flexible pipe.On Monday Jason let him know that the earliest he could get someone out to install everything would be Saturday 7/20. He said he would try to escalate the matter and see if he could get someone out quicker, but if not Saturday would be the earliest.Saturday 7/20, my husband received a voice mail that Kenny would be there between 9-9:30 am. Kenny and Cory came about 9:30 am and said they were here to put the handles on the refrigerator and switch over the doors. My husband asked about everything that was not done the following Friday and all they had on their paper work was to do the fridge. They said they would look at everything and see what they could do. Kenny informed him they could not do the dishwasher as it was an older dishwasher and the water line ran to the basement. We would need a plumber. We have a plumber coming in on Tuesday. Cory switched over the doors but could not put the handles on because we did not have the hardware. Kenny took out the microwave, but when he opened the box to the new microwave he discovers both sides were dented. He was not going to install a dented brand new microwave and we would not have wanted him to. He brought the old microwave back in and we set it on the oven so we still have something to heat things up with. My husband called Home depot again, but he just got the voice mail again. So a week later, we only have the fridge in and everything else in our living room. I would never pay Home Depot to install anything at our house again. I would contact a licensed contractor to do the job!!! If they cannot control the installation, they should not offer it!
Clean, the employees were helpful.
I go to this home depot a lot. It is convenient, right off of i95 on my way home. They usually have what I need. This store can get messy at times. Popular things out of stock, or in the wrong places. Possibly due to the high customer volume. I have also been agrivated on several occasions that I have had to look all over the parking lot for a lumber/flat cart, then when in the store it gets taken from me. Multiple times by employees, that Ive even chased down the hall. I think that they use them to prepare orders for pickup. My cart has even been taken with stuff on it. You need more carts, and tell your employees not to do this!!! Traffic in the parking lot can also be a real hassle.
Very good . Helpful .. pickup 8 echo weedwackers . The 2 season . Employees . Went out and above the call . Got a forklift . And got me the trimmers . . Thanks . . The delivered .
Typical HD... clean well stocked. Parking lot is nightmare at times...one exit shared w kfc wawa and liquor world
Got all the way to my property in north east philly to realize no hardware in shower part 2
This is pretty much for all The Home Depots anymore there always out of what you need you cant get anybody to help you and when you do they tell you its not my section or I dont know. They wont even help you get somebody to help you. Their customer service went down the tank
Pleasant staff, plenty of choices between brands. 🇺🇸
Great selection. Organized and clean.
They usually have everything we are looking for except a associate when you need to ask a question as long as you dont mind asking 3 different people of you have a question about a product your good to go. Good selection staff could be friendlier but that normal as this point.
Best customer service and material availability!
Basically a waist of time no stock
Customer service experience was wonderful.
Claymont (Brandywine) store probably provides the worst service in our New Castle County. Stuff barely loads the items on stock from the shelf in time, particularly, the painting department does the worst in this store. For example, I went to buy the GE advanced silicone (item #362646) this morning. Homedepot.com showed this store has 265 tubes in stock but I didnt find any on stock. I did see they were stored on the top shelf but no one could help me move them down although I had asked help at the painting service desk. This situation has happened multiple times on me in this store. For another example, I once ordered an item for curbside pickup from this store. After waiting for about half hour in the parking lot, I noticed the status of order became curbside pickup unavailable in this store. I walked into the store to pick up my item and saw at least 4 stuff members at customer service but only 2 were severing the customers and the others were gathering, chatting and laughing. This is your so called excellent customer service???Now I am willing to drive couple miles far to shop either in Wilmington or Glen Mills homedepot.I hope Homedepot management could look into the problem in this store and fix it.
Always have what Im looking for never have issues with the products
Would give 0 stars if possible. The girl who works at the service desk was a unbelievably rude. That was after waiting 30 minutes for curb side pick up. I’ll never go back to that store. Rude! RUDE!
Ordered a 20 piece mulch pick up and i was still in and out faster than you can say in and out, great job.
Never have what they tell meOn the phone so I drive thereFor nothing..
Great customer. Store associates were extremely helpful with helping to decide which power drill to purchase.
Had what I needed. Had to search for it myself because the only employee I found to ask has no idea what caulk is....
Curbside pick up was down...but they did not bother too put up any sign to let people know so I foolishly waited 20 minutes before going inside. Lets just say that the Customer Service reps have ATTITUDE of the charts. Had to end up speaking to the store manager who gave me lip service about being sorry but this feedback will allow him to address it with the employees. NO ATTEMPT to say that hopes I would give Home Depot another chance or anything...the savings was not worth the aggravation. Lowes--here I come!
Very knowledgeable employees to help when needed. Leaving the parking lot is a very interesting experience!
Salesperson were helpful, found everything I needed no prob, In and 9ut the pro check out lane in minutes !!!
This Home Depot always seems to have everything I need unlike the Home Depots in folsom Pa and Clifton Heights
Very well stocked and clean. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly and eager to assist.
Really Great service and the Employees are great
That store is horrible. They rarely have the basic inventory. I went for a old work plastic 1 gang box. Shelf was empty. While I was searching 2 other customers came looking for the same item. Very common item. Didnt find 1 associate to get help.
I do not recommend for flooring. I purchased new carpeting, scheduled someone to come measure, and he canceled at the end of the window he had given me that morning. Home Depot wasn’t able to send someone else out until a week later- delaying the completion of the job. Very frustrating
Looking for storage containers, which I found as soon as I walked in the door. Bought several and even had help loading the car. I really appreciated that service.
I was shopping for plants and a young lady danisha I hope I spelled it right if not Im sorry she was absolutely amazing she makes me want to drive from philly to continue shopping at this store
Everything I needed for my building project was available and easy to find. But can you get the car key cutter repaired or replaced soon at the Brandywine location?
Home away from home.
Great pick up for all my essential needed home projects. Will be constantly coming back here for the foreseeable future and beyond. Good employees here as well that they will walk you to where you need to find exactly what you are looking for.
Everything I needed for an exterior door painting project and drywall repairs. Helpful rep at the paint desk. In and out in about 15 min for less $$$ than I thought it would be.
The very clean store with friendly stand and plenty of items to choose from a great prices
Pick up was easy . They helped me put it on top of my car thank you
Because; 1. Low on stock, difficulty locating associates, otherwise helpful and friendly
Great Experience! I went there for a self to hang up my Sound bar and Roman, who is the tools specialist guy made my experience remarkably beautiful! Made sure that I had everything that I need plus More! Need more Guys like him! Thanks Roman 😄
Customer service was lacking. Picking up an order of very heavy items. No offer of assistance to get the items into a vehicle was given. 3 people were at the pick up desk. Not one offered to call someone to help.
Every item we needed was where it was supposed to be.Great shopping experience.
Nice store always stocked with what u need
In and out. Great customer service..
Picked-up an order I placed on line last night. 3 persons in line before me. Items delivered to me in several minutes. Excellent! Easier than roaming the isles and possibly asking for help.
Employees worked fine and provided assistance. However, labels on key items were missing, such as lumber, making it difficult to tell the measurements or price.
Thank God - they had the fuse i needed to get the AC back up after 9pm.
Waited half hour for help that never came. Had to get a customer to help me. Asked 2 different workers to get me help and nothing. I need a job where I can get paid to hide
Homedepot is crowded and there are no associates to assist you. I walk around for 2 hours looking for stuff. Only time someone will definitely assist you is when your checking out. I dont need help then I am self checking out.
Not helpful rude employees worst parking lot Ever not at all a good place
Love this place and the people who work there! Has everything for your home needs! Shout out too the electrical dept!😊
Well organized and good spacing for the pandemic. All but one employee was masked. (exception was in paint Dept mixing paints) Payment line moved quickly. Would prefer to see sanitizer dispensers after checkout.
Horrible phone program. Not one person can answer the phone?!
Store personal was great they helped me with the snow blower I got they put it into my car
I couldnt work here because I would never have a paycheck. I love this place.
The store is ok. The parking lot is a war zone. You pass an LQ and a KFC before you reach Home Depot. The civil engineer designed that chaos should be sent to the Gulag.
Been going here for years. Definitely not enough carts for picking up larger materials. Plenty of little carts. It seems like a lot of the big carts are in the store, with building materials on them. Never enough registers open and the new setup slows the contractor check out down to a crawl. The employees are nice and they have most of what you would need.
This store has some of those heard to find items at other only Solar at Homedepot,
Always nice to go to home Depot
Need to be cleaning done in and around areas
NEVER ANY HELP!! THE MOTORIZED CARTS ARE NOT AT THE ENTRANCE AND THERE IS NO SIGN TELLING YOU WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY POOR AT THIS LOCATION.
Crowded on Saturday with not enough workers to open more checkout lines.
Always love a trip to the Depo
Poor customer service. Incompetent, over priced, and useless. It literally took 5 people over 30 minutes to figure out how to handle a return. And the merchandise was shipped in such a was as to guarantee damage (see photo). This was after they couldnt give me a straight answer as to whether or not they would be able to install it.
People leave things in the aisles to trip over
The Claymont Home Depot is one of the best organized and managed stores in the region.
Very helpful staff
Best time to go empty
