I used this shop a couple years ago when I dropped my drilling with a horn trigger guard and broke it. This was the only place in the country who would even attempt to fabricate a horn trigger guard and it came back three weeks later looking better than I expected (good, but not perfect as the gun was old and weathered and it would have looked out of place). Reasonably priced and fast turnaround, I’ll use themagain. Can’t seem to get their page to load or I would buy a rail scope mounting system...better call them.Cory from Texas

I have experience with more custom gun houses than most. Overall, my experience with this broad range of specialists has resulted in only fifty percent satisfaction. That’s right- only half the time have I been satisfied with the performance of various custom gunsmiths. I have had written instructions ignored- even with outrageous wait times- and have even had pieces returned to me broken. Maturity and responsibility were lacking.Never so with New England Custom Guns. The wonderful quality of personal handling (proprietor to customer) begun by fine old Dietrich Apel (founder) continues today under Mark Cromwell. The workmanship remains top notch, and free of excuses. My latest- a 1910 Ross sporter- completed in spring of ‘19- is a happy testament to the continuity of the N.E.C.G. quality. Owing to the intimidating reputation of the Ross systems, many less knowledgable smiths would have balked at this project. The end result, with New England, was all I could have asked.Approach New England Custom Guns with confidence. Communicate coherently, and they will take care of your project.
