Typical grocery store with nearly everything you could want. The best aspect are the non- grocery services like the pharmacy, the florist, and the coffee shop, which is a Starbucks. They have a pretty good deli, too.

My first time visiting this Vons store. What can I say? it was very clean and the cashier person was very nice. I purchased Nyquil and a half piece of cake.

Very nice store, just didnt have what I needed

I like to shop late to avoid crowds and move through store fast. I debating going because I was worried I might hit some long lights. Instead I made to Vons quickly. I was there at 10:52 and was getting three items. Two other people got to the doors and they wouldnt open. I checked the other door and it was already blocked by carts. I decided to check again. A box boy said the store was closed to all three of us I said I was just getting three items, he repeated the store is closed. I suggested on Google review to change their closed time to 10:45 pm to help people not make the rush out there.

Changed rating from 4 to 5 stars! Pharmacy got us in to get our Covid vaccinations earlier, and store has good selections and great buys (with card!). Only issue is need more cashiers during peak times to shorten line.

Today I went shopping with my 2 year old to grab some items. When I got home I noticed I was missing 3 items macha powder, açaí powder, & a small box of kiwis. I called this location to see if they had a bag and if not, if we can go back and possibly get reimbursed for an item that either wasn’t bagged, or if it was bagged, to go pick it up. When I called in I spoke to “caprice” who claimed she is the manager of the store. When I spoke to her and explained the situation, she said “will you come pick it up right now? Or tomorrow” to me, that’s insinuating that they either have the bag or are going to reimburse us by letting us select the items again. Once she said that I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to go right now, or if she wanted me to go tomorrow. My girlfriend chose to go right now, so I told caprice that she would go now and she said to just bring our receipt (which we have). Once she got there, caprice was EXTREMELY rude and condescending towards her. My girlfriend is literally one of the nicest people you will ever meet. And for her to call me almost on the verge of tears claiming that CAPRICE is giving her a completely different response and in a rude manner telling her that she has no bag there for us. First off, why tell me to go pick something up today or tomorrow if you don’t have the bag there? That makes absolutely no sense. So I ended up calling caprice back. And in my end, I’m already livid simply for the fact that she mistreated my girlfriend over some simple items that in all reality, we would have paid for again. When talking to her, I asked her what was the reasoning behind her asking us if we wanted to pick up the items right now or tomorrow? I asked her if she had any common sense because at this point, she CLEARLY and abruptly called me a liar and hung up the phone. I called again and this time she chosen not to have a back bone and put someone named Michael on the phone. I let him know the situation and how she directly called me a liar and how she is claiming she is the store manager, when that is simply not the case. I was provided with both store managers names “Colleen” & “Ryan”. And told me he would try to have them call me tonight, if not tomorrow. I’m still waiting on that call tonight. Because best believe I don’t take being called a liar lightly, and especially when she decides to tell my girlfriend that I’m lying as well. Believe me when I say, that I will not take this lightly and will be expressing this to the highest chain of command possible. If you’re in customer service, don’t be a “caprice” be a “Michael”*update*Spoke with the assistant manager “Ryan” and let me tell you, this is how someone in customer service is supposed to handle things. Very courteous, and understanding of the situation. I really appreciate him being on top of things and making sure we’re taken care of. Thank you Ryan.

Staff is always very friendly and helpful

One of the better Vons/Albesrtsons stores I have visited lately. Their variety is pretty good and the store is looking well maintained and well stocked. My only complaint is, there is one single checkout line due to COVID-19 concerns and it is at the far end of the registers. I have seen people coming directly to the registers on the other end, cutting the line while others like me waiting in an orderly fashion and the cashiers are not sending these people to the end of the line. It needs to change.

Best super market to shop, associate are extremely polite, especially the cashier: Paola, Jocelyn,Wendy,Dimora, Angel the manager. Everyone there give a good impression to customers. I recommend this shopping store.

We come here for sushi, fruit, snack, and drinks before the beach. The sushi chef always appreciates the business as they are a separate entity. We love to support small businesses! I love to see the creativity and passion of people especially when their profit margin is small. It means they dont do it for the money! Anyway, masks required here too. 💜✌🏽

In close race for worst managed store have seen. One line to all registers, and automated and human routing to open registers broken. Some isles made one-way but some are dead-ends and others very narrow due to merchandise placement. Not going back to this Vons.

Nice micro brew selection

Vons is my grocery store!! The staff remembers regulars from the neighborhood and always says welcome back. They are very helpful if need assistance finding anything and they keep the shelves very stocked. You guys do an amazing job!!

The smallest VONS Ive ever been in. Often out of basics especially when running specials. Often forced to buy most expensive brand or do without. Important to read expiration dates too.

Offered to decorate new ones more fitting for the day. She did a wonderful job and i appreciated the thought and time she took from her work to help me out. She is a great employee. Hoping this is seen by management and that she gets a job well done. I threw my receipt away on accident so couldn’t fill out the survey. Thank you Kari!

Went in today and was looking for something specific... Deanna was SO extremely helpful! She stopped what she was doing and even went the extra mile to search for the item I needed. Had my favorite, difficult to find bread.

Why do they advertise sandwiches but never have the right bread to make them? It says with focaccia bread, dont they have focaccia in the bread section? Really?

I mostly like my neighborhood (a block from my home) Vons; the employees, especially those working in the deli and the cashiers, are friendly and efficient. My problem is with the parking lot, especially on Friday mornings. I had to park in my community and walk back across the street to the store yesterday because the parking lot was so packed. I’m not the greatest driver, and parking is more difficult for me than most, so driving around the Vons parking lot, looking for a space, raises my blood pressure. I’m sure I’m not the only older or more impatient customer who has left (I did it twice) and gone to a different store just to avoid the hassle. The Vons managers need to stop bicyclists (and maybe some of my neighbors who have more than two cars) from parking in their lot, especially during peak hours.

Been here now three times to do light shopping and buy from the deli. Severely incompetent management. Terrible service from every aspect. Obvious lack of training and leadership here. Won’t be returning a 4th time. I recommend everyone to shop at the La Verne Vons instead.

Good grocery store. Clean, neat and organized. They have a Starbucks inside as well as a bakery and a good produce section. Also a good wine, beers and spirits section for a grocery store. All in all a good spot. Prices are comparable to other stores as long as you have a Vons club card. Parking lot can get full so be aware of that. There are also other places inside the strip mall. Round Table, Baskin Robbins, Euro Cafe (I especially like this place, European style food). There are also varying other businesses there as well. But overall Vons is a good store. A lot of variety and well maintained.

Third time in as many months I have found Mold in a dessert Bought here. Strawberry shortcake today and the other two items (eclairs) had mold in the whipped cream also.This store also has a cashier shortage so plan on waiting 10 minutes or longer just about any time of day including the express lane.

Its a good store that has plenty of space in the aisles usually no longer wait great selection including gluten-free things and its always clean well at and the staff are very friendly.
