We drive about 45 minutes twice a year to get cakes from this shop for our daughters birthdays. It has become a tradition and Cake and Candy Specialties has never disappointed. I look forward to their cakes in look and taste every year. They always respond quickly via email and are able to recreate inspiration photos. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!

This was my 4th attempt today to order a specialty cake and cupcakes for a baby shower. Nothing complicated mind you. It was a Bee theme single layer with accompanying cupcakes. I didnt need it until the second week of August. First customer service? It was like talking with a friend. She didnt upsell. She listened. She was honest about she could produce. Real quick they have multiple photo albums filled with cakes they have done for just about any occasion - I can pretty much guarantee you will find what you are looking for. During these covid times I know health and safety are priority. Know not only did they follow social distancing recommendations but they also took the time to wipe counters and doors between customers. I will update you with pictures and taste testing when we pick up. Until then- support our local stores *update 🤸‍♀️ The cake was perfect she went above expectations (see photos) and the cupcakes?? I had multiple guests ask which bakery. The frosting is a light mousse with sooooo much flavor . The cake/cupcakes were baked to perfection. Highly recommend! Take the stress out of your special day knowing they have you covered.

Ive been here twice so far, owners are very nice and helpful! I wanted to thank Waldi at Cakes and Candy for the 2 awesome cake that she made for my son and daughter’s birthday this weekend. They were not only perfectly made, but very delicious. The cake was fresh and very moist. The butter cream was perfectly balanced with the fondant and cake. Thank you so much again for making their birthday’s complete. I highly recommend this local bakery for all your celebration needs.

I telephoned in a birthday cake order from out of state to this wonderful little bakery and requested they have free reign and design a cake with a quilt as it was my sisters birthday and she is an avid quilter.They came thru with an absolutely beautiful fondant cake within a weeks time.I highly recommend this shop. Ive been coming here annually for about 5yrs for my sons bday cakes..I have taken pics of a hat/Corona boxes and just recently had MJ them cupcakes and Waldi never disappoints.Her cakes are always moist/taste delicious and always gets wows from guest!

I have been getting cakes from Waldi for 10+ years and i will not go anywhere else to get a cake no matter how small or big the event is. She is phenomenal. Every cake she made for me was perfect. She takes her time and focuses on details and does the best most amazing job i have ever seen. and not only do the cakes look breathtaking, but the flavors she has are to die for and my family has NEVER thrown away any cake shes made. it is always gone by the end of the night. She will tell you if she cant make something you might ask for rather than just take your money and not deliver what she promised. My family and i love Waldi and the cakes she makes. I was very lucky to have found her 10 years ago. Waldi you are the best!

We have used them for several occasions, including our wedding. We have had their cakes, cookies, bars, and cupcakes. Most recently we had them make a cake for our anniversary, and once again they did not disappoint. It was beautiful! BUT, not only do they make beautiful cakes, they are SO delicious! Some cakes rely on lots of sugary sweetness. These cakes do not. They are sweet, of course, but they have such wonderful flavors without being overly sweet, drowning out the flavor! Their customer service is just as good as their cakes and bars. I am picking up a cake tomorrow for my husbands birthday, and I have full confidence that we will be delighted as always. They are always so friendly and very helpful. We will continue to be customers for as long as they are in business!

I’ve purchased two birthday cakes from here and was so impressed. I showed her my cake ideas and when I picked them up the cakes turned out 10 times better than the pictures.They’re amazing people and make the best looking and tasting cakes I’ve ever had. I highly recommend them and will never go anywhere else for cakes again.

HAD CAKE MADE THIS YEAR FOR THE 3RD TIME AT THIS PLACE AND I LOVE THE OWNER SHE IS JUST GREAT ...BUT WITH THAT SAID I HAD A BEAUTIFUL CAKE MADE AND THAT WAS ALL THAT IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I decided to have Cake and Candy specialties make our wedding cake. We had no idea what design we wanted but we had the colors and the topper, so we set up a cake tasting appointment and we make our choices and, I forget his name but its the husband, he helped us out so much and helped us decide what exactly we wanted and when our wedding day came the cake was gorgeous and it tasted phenomenal. It is now almost a year since we have been married and we have already placed our order for our 1st anniversary cake at a great price. I love this place and when we have a baby we are going to then for the baby cake. Thank you so much for the wonderful cake and great customer service.

We ordered 2 1/2 dozen mermaid inspired cupcakes for my daughters baby shower on the Delta King. They were absolutely beautiful! Mermaid tails, sea shells and perfect colorings too. Delicious also! Not only did 8 children enjoy them but so did all the adults. They were the perfect completion to our new granddaughters welcoming party. Thank you Lindsey and owner, Waldi, for all that you did.

Shes great! I had her make my sons 6th birthday cake and she did an amazing job! It not only looked amazing it tasted great! I recommend her if your looking for a specialty cake.I will definitely go back !

Ok so this is THE most amazing place ever! I came into the store with a couple of photos of a cake and an invitation and they made the most amazing cake I have EVER seen! Not only did it look amazing but it tasted so good too! My daughter has a severe allergy to dairy and they made a vegan cake for her. Highly highly highly recommend this place!

This review is a little late but better late than never! I had contacted Waldi two weeks prior to my sons birthday and had asked if they could make him a two tier, construction theme cake for his party. Waldi was very professional from start to finish. I had sent her a picture of the cake design I was hoping for. She told me she could do this no problem at all and would take my order. I had read all the rave reviews on here but had never actually used Waldi so still had reservation. I can not even explain the delight when I saw the completed cake it was beyond anything I had hoped and imagined. The talent of this team is second to none and I honestly could never imagine using anyone ever again. We had over a 100 guests at our event and Im pretty certain every single person asked about the cake. Our son loved every tool, tire and truck on the cake and that was definitely the most important review! The cake was as delicious as it was beautiful! I honestly would not ever hesistate to recommend Waldi and the team! They are absolutely amazing and extremely professional! Thank you so much for the amazing cake!

WALDI is awsome !!! She delivered exactly what we wanted. Made a very yummy eggless marble cake with the Curious George theme for my sons 2nd birthday. Very happy, will be coming back for sure.

Absolutely beautiful cake for my baby!!!

I spent 70$ on a cake for my sons birthday. It was nicely decorated and ready on time. WHAT I WASNT AWARE OF IS... that they have their own version of Buttercream which tastes like citrus/lemon. Hense our chocolate cake with whipped cream filling tasted foul with lemon frosting on top. The kids were so excited till they put it in their mouth, most of them spit it out. THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICEOF FROSTING, SO BEWARE!!!. Half the cake is still in my fridge and the other half pretty much ended up in the garbage during the party. I called to let Waldi know that the cake was a flop due to the frosting, and told everyone else likes it so...sorry and Thank You! I just called to find out if I made the mistake in not being more specific about the frosting, but NOPE, thats what you get whether you like it/know it or not. White lemon frosting! After her disregard to my cordial call, not even the suttlest of apologies for a cake costing on the better side of $100, I WILL NOT ORDER A CAKE FROM HERE EVER AGAIN, and since the money was paid up front, they couldnt care less. Buy a cake from somewhere where they appreciate customer loyalty and satification. She has no idea how many Private School parents who make plenty of money will not be taking their business to her now. Thats her fault, she just lost TONS of business!
