While in the Circleville area today I dropped into the Sutherlands here for some solar lights for a fence and foursome fence post caps.Sutherlands here is a no frill outfit but it is very nice all the employees seem overly eager to help you and very friendly friendly. There’s selection might not be as big as some of the big box chain stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s but their hometown atmosphere and friendly customer service certainly make up for it.Bottom line I found everything I was looking for and more I would highly recommend the store if you were in the Circleville area needing some home improvements

Extremely overpriced with a terrible selection. Expect twice the price for lumber compared to Lowes. They do not honor their store hours. They do not update their Google listing when the change their hours.

Cashier is a little crabby but they have most of what you need for your lawn and home repairs. More expensive than other places

Horrible horrible horrible experience if I could give them a negative score I definitely would. I called before I went over and asked if they had what I was looking for gay explained that they have 4 items and I only needed 2. When I get there they have 1 then waste 30 minutes of my time looking around to see if they can find one in the back.

One thing about Sutherlands is that they usually have what I go in there to purchase. Sometimes its difficult to get an employee to assist you. I know the clerks are busy and they may even have a staffing shortage. I usually know what Im looking for when I visit their store.

Love shopping at Sutherland they always have what Im looking for. The people are helpfull.if you cant find what your looking for. GREAT STORE.

Well only issue with this place was the wood they said they had instock online didnt reflect on the actual amount of wood they had on hand other than that it was a good trip

For a mid-size store, they have what you need with a good selection.

Sutherlands has a little bit of everything. Paint section has okay paints. The lumber usually has everything you need from treated or non-treated lumber. Hardware and tools usually have everything you need, including the best brands. As do electrical and plumbing / gas. Lawn and garden has a little bit of everything, but not quality brands overall. They do sell windows and doors, but do not carry good brands. Employee knowledge is usually sparse, as they tend to employ high school or college kids. Im a contractor and already know what I need when Im going in so I usually dont rely on anyone elses knowledge. If I do need something, there are several employees I know who usually know their stuff. I ask the front desk if I really need help with something. I have never gone to sutherlands and not found what I needed. I give it three stars because of overall quality of their products and employee knowledge. Other than that it would be a 4.

Its the only legit home improvement store in town and is usually busy. They need to spend more time restocking shelves and bins and keeping clutter out of the aisles.

I drove an hour just to go there to pick up a large purchase (I called ahead) cheapest price I could find anywhere. I spoke to Colin when I called, excellent customer service.

The flea market of home improvement, this place is always a dump. Merchandise is never correctly stickered, nothing is in the location its supposed to be in, half the stuff has been opened and tossed back on the shelf or in the aisle, store hasnt been swept since it opened in 1973, the parking lot is a complete disaster, its a total joke.In my most recent trip I went to buy some 2x4s and 10ft vinyl siding pieces, and all the lumber carts were missing, and the only thing available were these small 4ftx4ft low carts. I even tried to use them, but the vinyl siding was dragging on the ground making the cart unusable, so I tracked down a lumber associate to ask him where TF the lumber carts were. He had no idea and just drove away on his forklift. So I went and found them all at the back of the store filled with returns and cull lumber.So I finally get to the register where a bunch of females are squawking about the latest town gossip and when she scans the vinyl piece, of course, it doesnt come up in the system, and she wants to call an associate to come all the way to the front of the store, then go back to where I got the siding from, and get the item number. Since Ive been to this sh!#show pretending to be a store before, I knew to take a picture of the shelf tag with my phone and showed it to her. She laughed and was amazed, and thought that was a really good idea, and the whole time Im fuming at what a joke these people are.The split second they open a Home Depot or Lowes on SR23 near Walmart, this place will immediately go out of business.

I took my daughter and toddler granddaughter with me on National Garden Day, thinking there would be a tour since the local paper said there would be. There wasnt. So, we strolled through the Linneas Teaching Garden by ourselves, but every plant was marked. These plants are all things that are native to OK or the surrounding area that will...

Only hardware store in town with a selection.Its very good overall, but you have to watch prices. I regularly buy at Menards and the price difference sometimes can be 100%, especially on specialty items that are hard to find, meaning if Sutherlands has them in stock on that day, the price COULD be high. Construction lumber is of great quality but also higher than almost everyone else most of the time.

We came here because we didnt want to go to Lancaster for drainage pipe. The prices are a bit higher here, but that didnt bother me. What bothered me was the lack of knowledge of the employee I dealt with. We have a truck and a trailer. They directed us to behind the building to pick up our order. We got back there and there was no place to turn around. There was scattered trash outside and it wasnt appealing. Definitely not going back.

I called and asked if they sold refrigerator water filters. The girl answering the phone said that they did & that they are in aisle 11. So I drove over and in fact they do not. So, obviously their employees do not know their merchandise nor do they even check to get accurate information before telling a customer they have something.

Great customer service

I ordered a deck package. They were almost $200 cheaper than either Home Depot or Lowes. I didnt realize until after I started building the thing that the floor boards were very ratty. I had bark strips and more knots than a paracord bracelet. They also gave me more ballister rails than Id need for a deck twice the size. Since I had already cut and used the wood for the framing, I kept going. Im very disappointed in the quality of the product provided. Had I noticed, Id have returned the lot.

Forced to go here because there is no other competition in the county. Place is always a wreck: open bags and debris in the yard. Inside the lumber isles are cramped with other materials, half picked orders. Cashiers slow because they have to fill out archaic paperwork for anything in the yard.

Location of items often makes little sense. Usually spend lots of time looking for something only to find out they dont have it. Employees are friendly but usually not much help.
