This is a review of the Circleville location. Their customer service is good as well as their knowledge. Ive had transfers done here and they go smoothly. Their prices are a little high. I recently made a purchase that was priced a little high but they had it in stock. Ive been keeping an eye on pricing and stock and havent been able to find what I was looking for. I asked if it was their best price and they said yes. I was there, they had it, so I bought it. A week later I find it at 2 other places for $30 less (local) and $40 less (Columbus, on sale, and with a range pass). Definitely disappointed with that. These guys are usually at shows and have a decent amount of inventory there. Ive purchased from them at shows, mostly accessories, multiple times. Most times Ive been to their store their inventory has been light. This visit they had a decent amount of stock. The main reason for the lower rating is their pricing.

Knowledgeable sales staff, awesome selection on hand, plus direct relationship with mfrs., you can go in and tell them what you want, and they will order it. Great place, just good ol mom and pop gun store. Prices are good too!!

Bought a Military surplus rifle And had it transferred to Excalibur for the transfer. Great experience! Very professional people, excellent communication, very knowledgeable about firearms, this is the fourth time we’ve used them over the past 18m and every transaction has been top notch!

Put my gun in there for their gunsmith to work on. I had already diagnosed the issue and was told it was a 2-3hr fix. It took them 3 months to even start working on my gun. The gunsmith literally only told me what I already knew and suggested expensive fixes for a budget gun. After I refused these costly fixes my gun was broken further by their gunsmith and no effort to make it right was made. It then took another month for my gun to be returned and they still had the audacity to charge me $42 for a service charge. When I picked my gun up the owner asked why I wouldnt let them fix the gun so I explained my reasoning and he became very defensive and stand offish.Within 2 weeks I was able to order the parts and fix my own gun for less than half of the money it would have cost them to do the exact same.Do not let these people rip you off!Poor customer servicePoor pricingPoor business ethicsPoor quality of workDamaged my gun further when I said no!If I could give 0 stars I would!

This is by for the best guns store around. They dont screw you in price and will always work with you. The one thing that most dont understand is why they never really have stock inside. Gun shows are every weekend. Everything goes to those. Plus in this day and age its difficult to get your hands on anything. Just be patient.....its worth it

Employees are friendly and helpful, firearm prices are better than they have ever been, but transfer fees($35 + $15 per additional on same form) are atrocious. Have been a loyal customer since Mike opened this first shop, preferring to do business here than with our local big box stores. Had no major problems, until today.I bought a Micro Roni conversion accessory on Tuesday, learned that it wasnt the one I needed, and had my request for return/refund denied on Thursday of the same week(today). Despite the item being unused, having never been removed from the box. Have returned accessories to this store multiple times in the past, even a Glock 20 once when they incorrectly ordered me a CA compliant model. Have never been told there were no refunds, until this specific incident. Owner should be more consistent, not pick and choose when the return policy is honored.Lost this customer, in addition to any future referrals or positive reviews I would have given.

Don’t take your gun here to be repaired. Took them a month to return my firearm to tell me to call glock and have them repair it. Charged me 45+tax again they did nothing to it. Then when I call Glock and explain what the firearm was doing they tell me it’s normal for new Glock 29’s to do. So in short they have no idea what there doing and charge you for nothing. Will not be returning.

Went to buy some shotgun shells. The open sign was lit up but the door was locked. There was a sign on the door that said be back in ten minutes. Waited ten minutes and no one showed up to open the door. I hope they were just taking a bathroom break and were not being murdered. In either case I will not be returning.

Helpful staff but inventory was slim to none, they did have what I was looking for in stock and I was given a pretty good deal. Ammo prices on 6.5 creed were expensive compared to other places

Indianola store....Well, dont let the website full you... This place doesnt stock anything...they had maybe 8 guns for sale? Two stripped lower receivers, and two barrels... Thats about it... Was definitely hoping for more. The website makes it look like this place is an actual gun shop... I was not impressed with it at all .

Shop elsewhere. Owners are disingenuous, will rip you off in a heartbeat.

I absolutely cannot recommend this dealer.Excalibur Outdoors appears to be unable to handle a simple FFL transfer,.They recently took over what used to be Gun Envy on Indianola, where I used to do quite a bit of business - this is now the Columbus location of Excalibur Outdoors. The staff at the Columbus location is the same as always, but since the merger/name change, it is an absolute mess doing business there.Nobody on the phone at Excalibur knew where to find a copy of the FFL for the Columbus Location. I was eventually told to e-mail the owner directly, which I did, asking specifically that he forward the FFL for the Columbus location to some specific shippers.The owner sent the information for the Circleville location, and then tried to blame the shippers for using the incorrect address. I confirmed with both of them the details of the mailing/shipping information they received directly from the owner - wrong FFL in both cases.The guns are due to arrive in Circleville today, and the owner told me they would have them sent to Columbus this week. Rather than risk any further hassle, Im just going to take the hour drive to get them out of their hands ASAP.I will update this review if they make it worth my trouble, but otherwise I will absolutely be finding a new local to handle my non-C&R transfers.

When I asked why their prices were so much higher than other stores in driving distance I was told that they get most of their business from gun shows and flea markets, so they didn’t care if they sold from the storefront. I suspect they only have it for ordering purposes. The inventory was extremely low too.Update: decided to take away a star because of their untruthful response.
