They buy a large variety of items and for a good price.... Very polite and made me feel welcome. The store is very well put together and very clean. This is one of my FAVORITE STORES NOW, AND I CANT BELIEVE ITS BEEN RIGHT THERE UNDER MY NOSE AND I DIDNT KNOW UNTIL THE GUY AT THE GAME SHOP A COUPLE DOORS DOWN RECOMMENDED I TRY THE USED BOOK STORE... WELL ITS BEYOND USED BOOKS AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Love this location! The staff is always friendly and willing to consider just about anything we bring in. Their selection of classic books and board games is amazing. Sometimes I go in just to relax and browse.

Normally, I love this place.However, I just had a Karin cut in front of me at checkout and the MOD (manager on duty) sided with the Karin and served her instead. Which was bad enough, but then the manager got into a conversation with the woman about which book she would put back (she had 2). I left my (would be) purchases on the counter and left.

A nice, clean store. Great big aisles that make browsing easy.The staff do not interact with you, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it, but a hello as you come in might be nice.Thankful for a HPB on this side of town nonetheless.

I like this bookshop, although its not my go-to Half Price Books location. They have a decent selection and I usually find something worth taking away. I wish they would update their stock more frequently, but then if people are not bringing in books to sell its not really their fault.

Nice selection in the store but not to friendly staff. My son asked an employee a question and his mask slid under his nose as he was talking and before he was able to raise his arm to fix it she rudely cut him off and asked him to leave if he didnt have his mask on correctly. Then as we left she pulled her mask off to talk to an employee.

Always neat to find weird media there... But a lot of what they have you can get for the same price (or less) new. Really not holding up the half price name like they use to.

Its a pretty good place to go and you can find some unusual items here, including some nice surprises on board games. If youre browsing, youre likely going to find something of interest, even if you werent looking for something specific. Also, the store is clean, including the restrooms, and the staff is friendly. If they only had a coffee bar...Selling media here is iffy, if youre looking to maximize what you get for selling them, but its still better than nothing or putting them on ebay and going through the hassle to ship a book you only received a dollar for or holding a garage sale. I dont consider it a negative, as long as you are aware of this (and you dont have to take their offer, either).

Its four stars to me because its a go in between pricey Amazon and a mildewed smelling thrift store. Cant find a lot of the books they have at Walmart and no cozy book stores around the corner. Used to sell to them and they always underpriced. However, someone reminded me that they were a business and in it to make money just as much as the other guy. Dont sell no more to them, it makes me feel better to just give it to Goodwill but will shop there because they have interesting books.

I love to buy here. The selection is huge and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. They have books, music, assorted other merch. Everything is logically organized so you can find what youre looking for. I like the children section, too. I always end up buying more than I went in for.Four stars instead of five because selling books here is a little disappointing. You dont get much for books, even for current best-selling hardcover books. I know thats how they can sell books as cheaply as they do, but its still a bit disappointing for a seller.

Half Price books was an amazing little find in my neighborhood. Ive been looking for a certain book and when I arrived to ask for it the lady said she hasnt been able to get a copy but she found one and it even an imported first edition. Thanks half price books.

Eh its okay. No one greeted me. I walked in looked for what I wanted and got no customer service whatsoever. So I walked out. 4 employees passed me & not one acknowledged me

Its a nice place to go to browse and waste time. Some ok deals here, and a pretty good selection of older movies and books here too. Prices are high considering everything is used, but sometimes you can find things that are harder to find elsewhere. Dont buy items you could normally get at a Target or Walmart as you can likely find brand new items cheaper at these places than you can buy used here.

Great store. Excellent customer service. Employee was very helpful and knowledgeable. Even ten mins before closing, he was still very friendly and helpful, not rushed or irritated about people still shopping. I dont know his name but he was working 09/16/20 @ close (cashier: NChr129). I want to commend him for his top notch customer service skills and professional attitude. Also, it was great to see a business like 1/2 price books still operating during these questionable times. Its been a long time since Ive been to one but the store was very clean and organized, safety protocols were in place & being adhered to.

Really try and get you to sell to them for pennies of what your stuff is worth never have new inventory same stuff everytime I go, makes sense since they try to give you so little for your stuff

Very good selection of books. Prices are ok. Many are used. They will buy some of your old books. Very selective about this however. Do not pay very much.

They were very patient and understanding. i had never sold before so i left thinking they would call me when they were ready. i called about a week later and the manager had answered the phone. she explained the process politely and allowed me to get a receipt and cash for my books that were technically “abandoned”. the guy i picked them up from was also polite and made sure the clerk gave me a coupon!

You dont get much back for yoga class books. On the other hand, I found a Suger Ray cd.

My daughter loves going to Half Price Books for her manga books! They have really great prices and any category you can think of! My son likes going for the funko pops they usually have!

My boys were blown away with the authenticity of this place! The workers were super friendly and answered all their questions! We truely enjoyed our time here!

I found a movie I love in the discount bin for $1 they also have some vintage Dungeons & Dragons books and lots of other really cool stuff

I don’t suggest shopping at this store or with their company. Apparently if you have a medical condition or disability that prevents you from wearing a mask they don’t allow you to shop there. I walked in with a mask on my husband didn’t who has a medical condition that prevents him from wearing one. An employee stopped him asked if he had a mask he said no she said he couldn’t shop with out one I stated he has a medical condition that prevents it she said it doesn’t matter their company policy is everyone has to have one on to shop. This is discrimination at its finest!

Not only will they give you next to nothing for the things you bring in, but now you can only bring things in during a four hour window in the middle if the workday. This would be a great place to open up a used book store.

Great! Lots of good choices at excellent prices. Well organized and accessible. Helpful staff. This was my first visit to this location. It will not be my last! Was hoping they d also have gift-wrapping paper, but thats not regularly available. I bought some really fun gifts, though!

This is an interesting place. They have copies.of so many wanted books at a great price. Although some of them are used, or maybe they are all used, not sure because they only sell books that are very well kept. I even asked if they had a particular book title, the clerk looked in his computer and transferred it for me from another store within two days. Its truly a busy store.

Half Price Books always has a great selection of books and DVDs. Their trinket selection is fun. Staff is helpful!

Went in for a very specific music book, they didnt have it. I knew it was a long shot, but Ive been wanting to go in there anyways. I bought a couple of books and will definitely be going back when I have more time. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

Great place for kids to find books to learn from. Its actually excellent for anyone who enjoys reading. Cant beat the prices.

Just left. Wife had some old Wii games she wanted to unload. Gave her 25 cents each. I get the low price. But saw a game (they just gave her .25 for) on the shelf for 5.99. Now thats a markup! Back in the glory days of baseball cards you could count on about 40% value

This place is amazing, they have just about anything and most things are at a great price. I bought the Grudge Trilogy Used obviously but the movies came in the original box case and the 3rd one was even still wrapped for only 10 dollars. Definitely recommend.

It was degrading and unkind experience. I have asthma and COPD,wearing a mask is not an option for me. I wanted to surprise my husband with a new Bible. I walked into the store a clerk yells across the store that I need a mask. I tried to explain that I have asthma and copd. She replied that it didnt matter that they require mask to shop. That I could shop online. I said thats on I will just go elsewhere. She said across the store once more fine you can call customer service if I wanted. No I just wanted to leave. She made me feel horrible. I dont go shopping much because of my health and to be told it didnt matter was not a very nice way of explaining police. The whole time she is yelling across the store she has her mask pulled down away from her mouth and nose. As for me and my family I will be getting my books somewhere they value all cistomers

First time visiting this Half Price. Not disappointed. Theyve got a good selection and the staff seem very friendly. I spent a lot of time browsing their books and they had a lot that were of interest of me. Would love to come back at some point.

Half Price books is one of our treasure hunting favorites. The store is filled with interesting reads on all kinds of subjects, both fiction and non-fiction. The staff are all bookworms and eager to help and advise.

Im a huge fan of all half priced books. Ive never had a bad experience. Im a buyer and dont normally sale here. I love that you can buy books at such a great price. Once I found this place I stopped going to the book store because why spend twice as much? I dont mind reading used books as long as they arent defaced or in bad condition. I will say if your looking for books in a series it can sometimes be more difficult because they may have some books and not the others which is why I shop at all the half priced book stores in my area. If they dont have a particular book at one store they may have it at another. They all have their own unique books because people come in and sell their books directly to the store your in. Shop around all the stores are great!

Prices are so low, I was able to get more books than I thought possible.

This group of stores carries a great selection of second hand and firsthand books. They also have some rare older books at most of their stores. They also have video games and board games. They know the value of their more obscure offerings, though. So, you wont snag any great crazy steals, but they are very fair.

Very good selection of books, both new and old. The prices are very reasonable. Fair trade in value as well. The store is very organized by each section and type of book and is ordered by author.

Best bookstore in Cincinnati, which is not a difficult distinction given the lack of them, but great in its own right. Great prices and selections. Wish it had a coffee shop in it, but no big deal. Best prices on books outside a thrift store. New,used, new releases, classics, obscure back list. Plus, they buy old books!

Such a cool store - tons of books, of course, but it has a lot more than that. It has old video games, vinyls, movies, games, knick knacks... Its a lot of fun. Definitely glad to have a store like this on the East side of town. Would definitely recommend!
