We had done our research to find UNITS was the best value and happy to support a local business. They were able to maneuver up our steep winding driveway and drop it exactly where I wanted the unit in a tight corner next to our fence. The driver did it all quickly and professionally. Do not USE if you live in Downtown Cincinnati. I called to get a quote and ask a few questions about their services for our upcoming move. I prefer to work with local vendors and support local businesses. I was very disappointed in the service and response I received.Upon explaining where I live and that there is a dedicated loading and unloading zone for moving in/out of our building and that it is fairly easy to park there, I was told in so many words that they didnt want our business. I was interrupted and essentially this man did not want to hear any more of what I had to say or even work with me on this finding the best course of action for our situation. He kept saying how difficult it would be would to park on the street solely based on a previous job he did. I offered other locations to park the pod since he felt uncomfortable parking it in our dedicated loading zone. He said he had to turn this job away essentially explaining he was too busy this year, and that he doesnt need our business. Then also stated hes NEVER delivered a UNIT to downtown Cincinnati as if I was asking for an outrageous request. This is a Cincinnati based company and local business that doesnt work with people who live in the City. Very Disappointing.

This is the 2nd time I have used UNITS and Steve and his staff are top notch. Your review says more about you than it does about UNITS and the service they provide.

Ended up renting a storage unit for 2 months, we did the packing and unpacking of unit. Scheduling was fast and easy with Steve, and had no problem with pickup and delivery of unit. Truck driver was always courteous, and responsive to my needs. If I need their services again, I would not hesitate to use them.

We chose Units to store some things that needed a climate controlled environment, like antiques and a piano, about 3 years ago. Steve was extremely responsive to my questions, in a prompt manner. He was professional and just had great customer service skills. It took us those 3 years to get our house built and we just had the pod delivered two days ago. Again, great service! They delivered and picked up exactly when we needed it done. The things we stored are in the same condition as when they went in!! Steve was great to work with and the service provided was too notch!

I found the website. I submitted the online request for a quote and was called within minutes. The owner, Steve, was pleasant, friendly, and provided a lot of direction in what we might need. The experience from start to finish was great! The storage is well constructed, clean, and well maintained. I would highly recommend. Units is locally owned and that is what sets them apart. We rented 2 storage pods while we had our hardwood floors refinished. This was a great service for us. We were getting our hardwood floors refinished and we had to move our furniture. We didnt have space in the house to move it to so we rented a storage container from UNITS. We left the container in our driveway rather than have them store it off site.The customer service was outstanding. We werent sure if wed be able to keep it in our driveway because we thought it might block access to the garage. We originally signed up for them to store it at their site. Steve at UNITS, was always extremely quick to answer our questions whether it was a phone call or an email. Changing the service to keep it in our driveway and also to change the pickup date was no hassle at all.

These guys are the best! Steve helped us throughout the whole process to answer any of our calls/emails at any time, night or day. Very professional and courteous during our move. We had some tough logistics and timelines because of our dual move, but they knocked it out of the park! Sam and Gabe were great to deal with on site and we were very impressed with their punctuality. I hope to not have to move for a while, but Id recommend these guys 10 times out of 10.

We used the Units pod to store some of our extra furniture while we thinned out the house for sale. The pod was very nice and clean, delivery and pickup were on time, and the billing was exactly as we expected. No surprises. I wouldnt use anyone else in the future.

We used Units for our most recent move and had a great experience! The Unit was delivered to our home at the time we requested. The inside was very clean. After we loaded it, they moved it to our new location and were cautious of our new concrete driveway. They returned to pick it up the following day. Steve Miller, the general manger was very helpful and prompt in retuning my calls and answering my questions.

Steve has been great through the process of planning for a big furniture move before a hardwood floor installation. He provided lots of information about Units and answered all my questions. Our Unit delivery was delayed an hour due to truck problems, but that was no big deal. The delivery driver, Sam was an absolute wizard with the truck and the container. While I hesitated to post this, I did want to share our experience. Two stars says couldve been better and thats how we felt. For our recent move we elected to move ourselves. I decided I would support this local business versus the national one. We were loading our belongings around Thanksgiving and needed a few containers for the move. The company was very responsive, with Steve the owner calling directly. Unfortunately despite the positive reviews, our experience was mixed. We needed multiple containers. The first container delivered was very nice and seemed to be pretty new. That one went pretty smoothly, from delivery through unloading. We needed a second container and unfortunately this one didnt go so smoothly. We had them deliver it on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, as they were going to be closed for the entire weekend and we needed to be out of the house the week after Thanksgiving, so we were planning to load the remainder of our things over the holiday weekend. They arrived late afternoon on Wednesday and as soon as they opened the container to allow me to have a look I was almost knocked down by the smell. The container had a horrible stench and clear signs of something nasty inside (it was a dried yellow puddle raised on the wooden floor). I told the driver that we couldnt use this container to store our personal items (mattress, couches, etc) as they would be ruined by that stench. He then told me, during the height of COVID and after standing in my face and talking for a few minutes about the situation, that he couldnt smell or taste so he couldnt confirm if there was a smell, but that he would call his manager. Steve was on vacation but answered and was very unapologetic, telling me that they clean each container and have an inspection, so there is no way that the unit could have a smell in it. Despite not being there and having a driver that couldnt smell, it would be impossible and I was being unreasonable. I told him again that I couldnt use this one and he told me that they were really busy and this was the only container they had left, so I could either take it or leave it. This put me in a very tough spot and if there was not a horrid stench I would have kept it as we needed to pack our belongings, however I was not willing to ruin my things so we had them take the container away with no backup plan - this should indicate just how bad the smell was. Fortunately for me, PODS came to the rescue and was able to deliver a container on the Friday after Thanksgiving so we were able to complete our packing that weekend. Steve did contact me back via email the week after Thanksgiving and told me that he inspected it and sure enough there was an odor, however it was from the prior user that was storing cardboard. While I appreciated him closing the loop, I was the day of that there couldnt be an odor since they check them all before they go out. Ive also never seen cardboard that smells that foul and leaves yellow puddles on the floor. In the end, it worked out for us as we found that PODS ended up being cheaper by 10-20% and their schedule around the holidays was much more accommodating. We unpacked around Christmas/New Years and had no issues coordinating the container re-delivery with PODS, however UNITS had limited schedule during that time so we had to work our deliveries around their availability. While Id like to support local, Im not the type to inconvenience myself or do so at the cost of a good experience. If you are, UNITS did a reasonable job, but despite the reviews I read about them we found that PODS provided a more reliable, accommodating experience and did so at a lower cost.Edit: The response from the owner confirms the issues I had and the reactions are similar to the day of the delivery, so if things go wrong dont expect a customer is always right response, but rather a list of reasons why you are the problem. If I could have used the unit, trust me I would have - this caused us a lot of added stress. I hope your experience goes better than mine.

UNITS moving and portable storage company helped us out of a major jam. We had a one month window between having to be out of our old house and moving into a new one. Steve and his team had a pod at our old place as soon as we asked, brought another when that one was full, and yet another when the third was full. Each time, the pod was retrieved as soon as we let them know we were ready. They went out of their way to get the pods to the new place, and retrieved all three as soon as they were empty. Exemplary service! Our move would have been far more difficult without their outstanding work and commitment! Steve and Grover were awesome to work with!!!
