Everyone at the store was so helpful! I am new to knitting, and they were very patient with me. They took the time to explain things and seemed genuinely interested in helping me learn. Clearly very knowledgeable! The shop is lovely, with a comfortable, homey feel and a lot of amazing products. This definitely will be my go-to store as I progress on my new fiber arts path!

Beautiful yarns, including local alpaca! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they will wind your yarn! If youre looking for quality yarn, its worth stopping by!

This place is very snooty. Im embarrassed that I suggested the store since my son lives nearby. He was made to feel extremely unwelcome while shopping for a Christmas gift for me. I will never purchase anything from this store because of the way he was treated. Instead please visit Hey Make Do in Pleasant Ridge, Main Street Yarns in Mason, or Silk Road Textiles in College Hill. I have found all these yarn shops to be extremely welcoming even if you arent a rich Hyde Park socialite.

Beautiful products with such friendly, TALENTED, and un-intimidating staff. I didn’t know how to knit anything more than a simple scarf before I found this place. Now I have great community of people to cheer me on as I take on each new project. I’ve recommended Hank to so many friends. They’re just awesome.

I came here to learn to knit and they are great at teaching any age, but also great at helping. Since that first lesson i have improved greatly. What I love about hank is they will help you for free. They are also good at giving advice for yarn and patterns. Thank you Hank, for everything.

Just needed a small amount of yarn for a repair. Very helpful and gracious. Excellent quality, enjoyable atmosphere.

I absolutely love their selection and kind service! They offer to wind the yarn while you wait. There are lots of special, hand-dyed yarns in addition to the bigger brands. Lots of free patterns and examples of finished products in store to tempt the imagination! I’m not from the area, but I’ll be returning here whenever I’m in Cincinnati!

I love this shop! I just read a few negative reviews, so I thought I would chime in with a very positive review. 😄 I just took up knitting again after about 30 years, and so obviously, I needed help. I went to Hanks to find a easy starter project and the staff was super helpful, friendly, encouraging,...AND has been very patient with all my questions and very willing to help correct my crazy mistakes. What a lovely shop... in every way! Beautiful yarns, huge selection, and warm, friendly staff. I had never been there before and was in desperate need of help with a scarf I was knitting for a friend. They jumped right in to help me... even though they knew I hadnt purchased my yarn there. I DEFINITELY will be going back to patronize them!!!

The selection of yarns is very nice. Theyre mostly carry high end yarns, but they do have some that are a little more budget friendly like Cascade and Malabrigo. But I think the people who work there could be more friendly. Some of them are very welcoming and super helpful, but one has made me uncomfortable more than once just because of their attitude.

This is one of the best yarn stores and is my go to for everything knitting or crocheting. The selection is wonderful, the staff always helpful and the other knitters (usually knitting at the table by the windows) are a great community to be a part of. They offer all kinds of classes, for all levels of knitters, all the time (day & evening) and are happy to help with anything outside of class time. Truly one of my favorite places to hang out and be creative.

Ive been to this store multiple times; its a lovely store with some lovely yarns. But experience varies depending on which salespeople are present. Some are unpleasant and make me question returning; some are quite nice and helpful.

The associate who helped me find the original yarn was very helpful. However, I realized after I purchased the yarn, I no longer needed it. I went to return it and the woman said only store credit. This is printed on their receipt, however it is printed nowhere otherwise in plain view of the register and the original associate did not tell me. This is frustrating as I no longer have use for the item and poor customer service as I had told the original associate I had never been there before. Hopefully they can post this more clearly so others will not have the same poor experience. I will not be returning.

I have been here twice and both times the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the yarn selection is not the best in my opinion. They carry a few of the same big names you can get at any LYS (Malabrigo, Madeline Tosh, Baah, Rowan, Debbie Bliss amongst others) but they do not have much in the way of indie dyed or anything truly special.They do have a lovely selection of notions and tools such as buttons, needles, patterns/books, and yarn bags and bowls.I would much rather make the trip to Fiber Optics in Milford, or to Main Street Yarns in Mason.

Hanks is a nice clean store. The people working in the store are not friendly and dont really want to help. I have been in many times and spent lots of money there but when the service really counted they were totally rude. I will not be returning to this store. I will find a store that really wants my business or will purchase online.

I saw a couple negative reviews on this site and wanted to make sure I counteracted those with positivity. I called Hank, a Yarn Boutique with a very specific and rare request. The ladies at the store went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me. They were pleasant, kind and helpful! The store was conveinently located just off the highway and had parking. If I take up crochet in the future, this store will be my go to place. Thanks again Lauren:)

This shop carries high end yarn lines, mostly, and have a good selection of them. Only downside to this is it does tend be on the more expensive side, buts its not toooo bad....but hey, you get what you pay for haha. I only been in this shop a few times so I cant really rate the staff too accurately but I can say when I was there, each time was a friendly experience. My only big complaint is the parking is VERY limited...and its hard to find a place that is free to park-this shop is right outside Cincinnati but still within city limits to charge for parking. Since I know the shop cant control this I wont hold it against them-just something that I would like to mention.

I prefer to support LYS that helps everyone not just their friends. I prefer sales personnel who dont walk away in the middle of helping you with a purchase to help a friend, without returning or assuring you have been helped with your purchase. I prefer warm friendly staff who are open to new and creative ideas, fibers and people. I prefer a store that has enough inventory, at least once, to make an entire project in a size larger than an extra small. I have to drive a significant distance to any LYS and will now choose to drive 15 extra miles to go to a more polite, friendly and welcoming store.
