I was in a bit of a jam and in need of a key part that I could not find around town at different places. This business was recommended as a potential source for the part. Taylor at Eastgate pool & spa received my call, helped me find what I was looking for in stock, and even helped load the piece into my car after purchase. He was a huge help today and I really appreciated his customer service and knowledge of the trade. Thank you to him and this business; I will be back to shop more.
Visited the store last Friday to buy a replacement filter for our hot tub. Sales staff did not seem too eager or friendly, waiting on customers. Sales clerk looked up the appropriate filter for our hot tub and I purchased it--$40.00 plus dollars. When I returned home, we realized it was the wrong one. On Monday, I returned it----having to drive all the way back from New Richmond, again--sales staff not seeming friendly. I explained they had sold me the wrong filter. The new filter was $5.00 plus dollars more. I mentioned that I should not have to pay the extra because it was their fault. His response was Accidents do happen. Okay, I agree and I also realize (I) should be the one to know what filter MY tub takes. But, still---at least they could have thrown in a .99cent spa scent or SOMETHING, ---considering gas to drive there is $3.15 a gallon and considering-----as I found out that I can buy the same filter through Amazon for $16.99 and delivered the NEXT day AND not have to deal with their unfriendly attitudes and prices.
No need to look anywhere else there work is phenomenal and great pricing and JD is a hard worker.
Eastgate put our pool in 2005, weve enjoyed it for 15 years. Finally, the liner had seen better days and needed replaced. So glad we contacted them for the liner replacement. Mike and his team are working on the replacement now and while not finished I couldnt help leave a review this morning first thing. These people are the kindest, most respectful, and most importantly knowledgeable. I will update when finished but just a great experience so far.
Eastgate Pools usual has everything you would need for pool, spa, and outdoor entertainment. they are a large store with a lot of capacity. they will test your water for you and provide recommendations for treatment and maintenance. Ive been here for many years. they also have a rewards program available.
Disappointed with Eastgate Pools opening services. Frustrated with their follow up and customer service attitude. For two years in a row, Eastgate pools has made an error when opening our pool for the season. This year, the bottom drains were not opened in full and the skimmer was left only partially open for waterflow. The pump was also given a bad prime. This resulted in dropped pressure in the line, which could have led to a costly mistake in burning out our pool pump and pool motor. When we reached out to Eastgate Pools and spoke with John, we were talked over while John tried to justify a bad pool opening. No offer for follow up was made. Our pool was opened 4/20 and the chemical had not been circulated until today, 4/27. It seems we paid over $300 for just for a headache and our pool cover to be removed. We will be canceling future service appointments with Eastgate Pools and will be looking into another company for our closing of the season.
We purchased a vacuum head approximately 2 weeks ago. We have tried to use it several times, but it causes our vacuum hose to collapse. We took it back in, but unfortunately do not have our receipt. We were not looking for a refund, just credit towards something that would actually work. We were told no, thats why they give us the paper receipt. I understand not giving a refund, but a credit should have been issued for a product that doesnt work. After 20 years of doing business with them, this will be the last time.
Everyone at Eastgate Pools is always very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. And you can always find anything you need for your pool needs. Only problem is their higher priced than all pool stores around.
Very disappointed that Eastgate Pools cannot or will not give us credit for items purchased this year, prior to being offered a Perx card. We spent several hundred dollars on product before learning about this reward card. They can only add pints if I can find my receipt. They have a record of my purchases; they took my money for purchase.
They are friendly and helpful and if you call them and they are busy leave a message and they will call you back.
Friendly and professional staff. I bring my pool and hot tub water here periodically for testing. A few years ago they were able to help me turn my green pool clear again within a couple days, just in time for a family get together. Ive been a loyal customer ever since. Highly recommend for anything pool, hot tub, or outdoor furniture related!
Good product and the sales people were informative but not pushy and aggressive
I gave Eastgate Pools 5 stars because they did exactly as they said. Our pool was installed very quickly and efficiently on the day we were told. The installers arrived early and got the job finished in no time, on one the hottest days this summer. I would recommend Eastgate before any of the other pool companies in the area.
We have been a customer of Eastgate for over 20 years! They have put an in ground pool in for us and a hot tub as well. We have purchased patio furniture from them too. Great quality! We are always taken care of in a timely manner and their staff is very personable and accommodating. I would highly recommend Eastgate Pools and Spas!
Always great customer service and a nice showroom! Good selection of deck and patio items as well as pool and spa items.
The contractor who dug our pool out dug down more than what was needed. He built himself a landing pad for his bobcat to make it easier for him. Which instead shouldve been placed somewhere for easy removal for us the customer. What he did cost us an extra $1800.00 for dirt removal. On top of this our new liner was ripped at the seam. He called asked for a new liner immediately. Eastgate sends a technician to do a patch. Patch failed had to wait and additional 2 days for a new liner and fill our pool up twice. These two things cost us an extra $2000.00 on top of what the pool had cost. Havent heard a peep from Eastgate Pools after speaking with managers and them knowing this. Check cashed and thats all they were worried about.
We just bought a pool from them today. Charles Kelley, our salesman was great! He didnt pressure us at all, and upfront with the timeline we were looking at (about 2 months to be installed because EVERYONE bought a pool this year). We stopped in a week ago to talk to him and get information, and took a week to decide. He gave us all the information we needed and encouraged us to think it over. Other employees at the store seemed just as friendly, and attentive. One gentleman helped us locate Charles today so we could purchase.I just hope the next 8 weeks go fast!
Very helpful. I was looking for a part for my hot tub pump. They didn’t have the part but did take the time to help with other options.
Very helpful, we will be coming back
Great customer service!
Awesome customer service!!! Observative staff, knew I needed assistance. He was there right away, got all what I needed. Feels good to have that great customer service which we barely see any more. Thank You!
So far, so good. Will let you know the final rating once the final work is complete. Like the sales person, so far. I normally dont rate or comment until everything is done. Google is asking now...
We purchased a 24ft above ground pool in April. Due to Covid-19 they were unable to start installing until June so they put us on the waiting list. We were scheduled to have it installed at the end of June, they called and asked us if we would like it installed early (of course we said yes). Contractors were here at 7am as expected and they were completely done before noon. We will be enjoying our pool for many years to come!
Best place for pool supplies, great prices too!
This company sold us a pool over the internet without even sending a sales rep out to look at our yard! They required half of the money up front that is not refundable for some reason. Left the estimate open ended because its impossible for them to know the extent of grading necessary since all theyve done so far is run my credit card. I believe this pool will not fit in my yard without extensive grading that will be completely unreasonable to my finances . but still a month out and they still will not let me cancel without keeping my $1700 that they have absolutely nothing in. Shady business ethics and not looking forward to the nightmare to having to deal with a company who operates like this! Im afraid theyre going to slam this thing together and disappear. Highly recommend looking elsewhere
Charles was very knowledgeable and helpful. We never felt any pressure to buy a spa but we did. I felt like we got a good price and lots of very helpful information for hot tub beginners. I cant wait to get it delivered!
Absolutely great products and the best customer service Ive ever had. Went to Watsons to get a hot tub and they never gave me the time of day. Tried several other stores until we found Eastgate and weve been more than taken care of. Got my hot tub and couldnt be happier. Huge shout out to Charles, Kenny, John, and I forgot to ask the name of the fourth gentleman who came back out Friday evening to hook everything together for me. Couldnt be more pleased with my experience.tl;dr: This place is the best, Ill be a lifetime customer
Had to wait a little bit to get help, but eventually was helped by a knowledgeable employee. In their defense, they were very busy. Employees always seem to be helpful.
Very knowledgeable and helpful.
They have everything you need for your backyard, including great advice.
Very disappointed. Common sense would tell you that if you can get to the pile of sand by using Your bobcat on the driveway and not destroy someone’s entire yard then you should. Well the guy who installed ours does not have common sense. Came home to my whole back yard a muddy mess. Several other issues include the scheduled date being pushed around and the clean up I have to do after installation. Would not recommend
Have what i need wish the had a store near Mason
Had pool installed at end of 2017. As part of the installation, I used an electrician recommended by Eastgate Pools. Their recommended electrician did an inadequate job of running sufficient electric to the filter, heater, lighting and sump pump so breakers constantly trip.During the second season of having the pool (2019) we started getting water collecting under the vinyl liner and the liner moved leaving wrinkles all over. Sump would continually trip and water would continue to accumulate. Was told to drain most of water and they would straighten liner. Multiple phone calls and some no showed service calls, issue still not resolved and now (on 10/9/19) being told that its too cool out and will have to fill pool, cover for winter and deal with it next spring. While they are polite on the phone, the pool sucks. 40K thrown away.
We stopped by on a weekend looking to buy a pool, but after standing around for about 30 minutes, and asking several people with name tags on about who to talk to, we ended up leaving without ever getting to talk to a salesperson. And even with a large sign on the door stating that its their policy for all customers to wear masks, the only people wearing them inside were the sales staff.
Everyone was great, Chris was extremely helpful as usual. Highly recommend this place
Looked everywhere for a 16 pool. Only place that had one, and for a good price
Helpful and knowledgeable staff and got an amazing deal on a perfect spa. Only place in the tristate with multiple models instock.
Everything from outdoor furniture to pool chemicals, and more. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tested my hot tub water for me and helped me clean my green pool in no time. Highly recommended.
We want to thank Jeff Murphy & his crew for the excellent care given to us installing our pool. Were loving our new space & want to compliment the attention Jeff has given us with returning phone calls & explaining proper care of our new backyard gathering place. The other workers who initially prepped the area (as well as Jeff) certainly had great experience in making it all come together. Kudos! We love our automatic cover & we’re impressed with continued service we’re receiving from Jeff. He’s your biggest asset!
The best thing I can say about them is that their installation guys were efficient. Beware: you WILL need an electrician (look up: pool bonding), and they WONT be available within a MONTH of when you need them, and it will cost you about $2k, but Eastgate Pools isnt going to tell you that, because they want your money, and they want it NOW. We just wasted $3k on a pool we cant use until September...when we wont need a pool.Theyre smooth-talkers, though. I initially gave them five stars.
Great experience. Charles very experienced and helps guide you to making the right decision in pools for your family. Great experience, best prices we could find in the greater Cincinnati area.
Outstanding very helpful and friendly.
Its okay didnt find what I need but a ton of things for pools and I went to a bunch of stores and never saw what I saw
Today was my first time ever in that store. Im giving it 2 stars because 1, the store is nice, 2, because there is a nice selection of things. I did not like the employees, very dry/dull. As soon as I walked in they looked at me and began to follow me and ask me if I needed any help, I felt as though they were judging me like I was going to steal something. I felt very uncomfortable in the store and just decided to leave.
I called Eastgate Pools to come fix two large wrinkles from my pool liner lifting and pulled away from the bead over the winter. They did a WONDERFUL job. Cannot even see where the wrinkles were. Great job Eastgate Pool service department!
Terrible. Went for a gasket tryed to tell me they dont make what I need anymore. Tryed to get me to buy new filter system over 400$. Left went to Watsons Eastgate got what I needed only 14$ wont shop Eastgate pools anymore. Always miss lead people
I absolutely love the pool they installed. I would give them a 5+ for that. Our Project managed Jeff Murphy was great. After the install we went there a few times for chemicals. If I could, I would give them a NEGATIVE 5 for the support and chemistry after the install. They tried to sell my wife $200 worth of something they fully admitted would not solve our problem. Every time I would go there, they would throw out the water bottle I had brought in from another pool store and complain about it, showing a total lack of integrity. Then they would proceed to test the water samples plunging the same crusher into each test tube and when I question them they tell me It doesnt matter. It sure does! You contaminated the next sample with the chemicals you added in the last tube! Did anyone there take High school chemistry?Run, dont walk away from this place for your pool chemistry. They were great installers but end your relationship with them after the install.Leslies isnt great either but at least they are not sexist and absolutely a pain to deal with. I dread every time I went in that place. Not because of the cost of chemicals but because of the staff that work there.
Friendly and helpful. Great facility.
Nice place to find pool stuff
Kinda weird wearing a mask to prepare to swim.
Fair pricing, and very courteous staff.
Went to look at pools not sure if we wanted an inground or above. Scott was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Just wish it didnt take so long to get it installed but very excited about our inground pool purchase!!
Friendly staff
We purchased a pool and a spa. Both are beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for. The spa installers were wonderful. My only complaint is with the pool installers. While they did a nice installation job, they used my yard as their trash can and then told us that it was the customers responsibility to clean up the mess. Used cups, straws, drink lids, and cigarette butts everywhere.
Service and price was really good
Very helpful
A bit pricey
Huge selection of pools, hot tubes and all the extras. They delivered mine, put it right where I wanted. In store staff circle you like sharks, but service staff are great.
Outstanding service on all fronts! We have purchased a spa, multiple casual furniture sets and several other products over the years. The Eastgate Pools folks make it easy.
Awesome great staff. Finding us the best price and products that we really need!
We bought a big green egg from them, they said it would only take 15 minutes to put together which was a lie. Theyre impossible to put together!!! We finally got them out to the house to put the egg together and they said the band needed replaced. Well another 2 weeks passed and they finally got the band on it but didnt assemble the rest of the egg! I just called and spoke with Chris and he said it would be a $75 charge just to put the side tables on!!!!!!!??? I mean really??? We spent almost $2,000 on this egg and then we spent $7,000 on a hot tub and you all are going to charge us $75 to put the side tables on!!! Last time we will ever buy ANYTHING from you all again. And the only reason I gave it one star is because I had to in order to write something!
Johnathan came out to winterize our pool and was absolutely perfect, On time, Equipped, Friendly, Very Knowledgeable and thats comforting, We are Eastgate fans moving forward. Thanks EP&S
Good experience
Craig is a very honest and knowledgeable salesman. We bought from here after days of shopping and comparing.
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with the very knowledgeable staff at Eastgate Pools when purchasing our new hot tub . When your spending $6000 you want someone to be as honest as possible with you. We felt that we got that and more. We loved the help, the delivery and setup and the use of this new beauty. Thanks Eastgate Pools you all ROCK!!!
Eh......salesman was to casual. Not a good presentation at all. Asked for his card and he said, Oh you can just ask for anyone here. Theyll help you.Just didnt seem interested at all.
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Salesman was rude and acted like he had zero time to talk to us about buying a pool
We just had an inground pool installed and I couldnt ask for a better experience. Chris was very helpful in the store when picking out the pool and options. Jeff and his installers were great. It was very cool to see the pool building process and all the detail that goes into it. From start to finish I had a great experience and would definitely recommend them for an inground pool.
All I can say is if u r buying a pool better go buy it in April bc I understand that rain has alot to do with it but I bought mine on june 2nd and this is july 31st n the salesman and I have had 10 different emails between is n finally after a few emails today and I told him the installers were not here I guess he finally realized he was talking to me and not another person.Which when he called me he told me that he thought I was someones wife that was calling about the installation date now if I was emailing about someones elses acct. Wouldnt I mention the buyers name but no I didnt mention it bc the email says my name. So I wish everyone better service then what Im going through bc all Im getting is Im sorry not hey we will give you some chemicals or something since u did miss a whole days worth of work bc of us
Guy seemed put out to talk to us and really just detered us from buying a pool. Well from them anyway
After going to several pool companies to clear up an algae problem, one trip to Eastgate pools and talking to Ashlee pool is now clear. Thank you Ashlee and Eastgate pools.
Have been a faithful customer for over five years. The customer service has taken a noticeable downturn. The store manager was very rude. Dont want to stand behind their defect products lately. Pool service used to be top notch but this year it has been unreliable with shoddy workmanship. Very disappointed in the latest changes in attitude and service at the store.
TimI felt I was being fair when I mentioned unannounced. I refrained from using the word trespassing. The definition of Trespassing is entering the owners land or property without permission. The most important thing is that we still have our dog !Our delivery showed up unannounced and for whatever reason the delivery guys proceeded to open the gate to our backyard and let my German Shepherd out !! My husband and myself had to spend our morning chasing him thru backyards as both employees stood and watched ! We never received a apology from either one of the employees !!!The employee brings in the table and instead of apologizing..hands my husband the invoice asking us to pay the balance due ! UnbelievableI call the store after they leave and speak with Scott Who offers to knock $100 off for the inconvenience. My advice to Eastgate pools is to further train your employees to use common sense. My phone number was on the invoice a simple phone call would’ve resulted in none of this happening. I live five minutes from Eastgate pools my next purchase I will drive 40 minutes to Watson’s
My experience was horrible. Took a hot tub pump to have them replace a bearing on the shaft. They called and they told me it was bad had to replace the entire pump it was going to be over $400 so I said no you’re wrong. They made me pay $90 to get it back so I went to go get it and they said they put it together so I go home and hook it up to make a video of it running to show them the pump works fine just needs a bearing. They didn’t put it back together correctly and it speeed water all over. So I took it to Wheatley electric service and they replaced the bearing for $35 has been running for 8 months now completely fine.
Get all of my pool supplies there. Very helpful employees
Shaft Seal kit for Hayward Superpump: Eastgate Pools - $18, Watsons - $8Just sayin...I see the owner responded saying my facts are incorrect. I have included a pic of the shaft seal kit from Watsons Eastgate. Watsons price was actually $9 not $8. I do not have a copy of my receipt from Eastgate Pools to post. I called them for a price and they said around $16. Thats a 77% markup over Watsons.
Just started using them. So far so good. Actually great!
Edit*** Eastgate Pools called and agreed to make this situatuin right. Chris sent the installer over right away to fix the leak. Thank you for making this right. Bought a new above ground and had installed. The installer left his 2 employees there, but called every fifteen minutes, rushing them. I had to secure my cap piece myself, it was there but not hooked. Called about major leak at the hose and sand filter. He would not return my call and had to call main office ( the installer lives close to me) 2 days later he came while I was at work. He took it from a constant stream to a slow leak. I wouldnt recommend to anyone.
Zoe, you rock ! Thanks for your kind help and acknowledgment. Eastgate Pools and Spas = Number 1 customer service...Thanks Again.
Arrived at the store this morning looking to buy a spa hot tub talked with salesman we asked several questions about the spa and service department. The salesman told us they wouldnt be carrying that brand anymore. He did say that they would still service the unit. When asked about Pryor service department problems they had several years ago he said were done and walked away. Well I guess he walked away from a 6000 dollar sale that went to another store they were happy to take a cash sell!!!!!!!Just now I talked to the Store Manager and he was very polite and apologized.
Its a big lots of a store but you almost feel lost looking around
Guys just sitting behind the counter instead of helping people.
The person that helped me was very nice and loaded the product into my car.
Helpful staff. They knew I wasnt currently in the market for a new pool but they were still happy to answer all my questions and concerns.
Good luck getting a hold of the service dept. I had to actually show up at the store location before someone would talk to me. 3 weeks later I’m still waiting on warranty service and parts. In other words, don’t buy a saltwater system.
Good selection of patio furniture and gas grill that are a notch above the big box stores.
Too pushy on getting you to buy something, simply asked a question and the lady googled it. Literally baffled me. She had someone go in back and get a pump out for me to buy even though all I was doing was asking the prices on them first. Just assumed I would purchase no matter what, wont let you get a word in. Sticking to Watsons from now on.
Good equipment. But not very knowledgeable in what they sell. I bought a hot tub and the service tech could not set the dip switches correctly. I set them and when I complained to the service manager he just got irate at me.
Chris switzer is his name I think he sold me a patio set and we love it and him very smart guy and very customer service oriented I would recommend him and eastgate pools e anytime thanks Chris for all your service and knowledge
Friendly and helpful staff. Decent prices.
Polite helpful knowledgeable staff simple process in purchasing our first pool.
A great place to buy from. Happy with my new pool
My wife bought a large Green Egg from there for Fathers day last year. She did not pay to have them assemble it ($100). I put it together myself and it was never totally right and unable to hold low temperatures (100% my fault). My issue is that when I asked them to have someone come out to make it right for me they wanted to charge me a flat rate of $150 which is 50% more than having them install the whole thing. I asked to guy if they could at least charge me $100 like I would have paid to have them install the whole thing and they would not reduce it $1. This problem might take about 10 min for an experienced technician with the right tools to fix and they want to gouge me on the repair after paying well over $1000 for a grill. My first call tomorrow will be to Don Marcum Pool Care because I had a friend who bought an egg there with similar issues and they came out the next day and fixed it FREE. I also have a call into McCabe and was told they charge $65 per hour. So the moral of the story is that Egg places who don’t sell you your Egg will charge you WAY less for service than Eastgate does after you buy it from them. This is the first negative review that I have written on google and I always try to shop at local stores instead of the big box stores but I was really disappointed with how little they cared about customer satisfaction. If you are thinking about buying an egg there do yourself a favor and either but it online and save money or from another local dealer and get good service from a place who cares.
They always have what I need and are so friendly ave knowledgeable.
Huge disappointment to call about an above ground pool that has lost all the water. I was looking for guidance on replacement and felt the person answering the call, Charles was argumentative and not helpful on answering questions! His response was I have got to get water in the pool. What is the sense in filling a pool with a hole? I need the liner replaced and they dont do that. So now what do I do in January about this???
Always very helpful
There are some great employees here yes there prices are a bit higher I had an issues with my pump at first the few people I talked to had no idea what type of the filter I was talking about but the older gentleman that work there knew what I was talking about and in a quick description of my problem they told me what parts were broken and I was able to get the parts and they gave me a breif description on how to fix the issues and I was on my way
The gentleman I talk to very knowledgeable.
Little pricey but good service
