Wow! We have been searching for a place like this. A beautiful showroom and talented staff that listens and helps guide you through all of the overwhelming decisions that come with a remodel. They obviously take pride in their work and have quality cabinetry and countertops. Finally feeling excited and hopeful about the remodel!update: went back again to finalize our plans! So excited to see this beautiful kitchen come to life! We worked with Kim, she is amazing and helpful. Highly recommend!!
Earlene has been amazing to work with from the beginning of our total kitchen remodel to the very end of the project. Her customer service has been exceptional and she has gone above and beyond to help us create a beautiful finished kitchen. We could not have completed this project without her help. She was a pleasure to work with.
We had a great experience with Sims-Lohman! From Kim in Sales to the installers & Bob, everyone was friendly, professional and willing to help. We had a small issue with a piece being left out behind our slide-in range and Kim & Bob responded via email immediately and had someone back out in 2 days to fix! The first team of installers noticed an potential issue they brought to my attention and I was able to communicate with my contractor to ensure it wouldnt be a big issue.
We couldnt be happier. Great experience working with Kim. She is very knowledgeable and was a great help guiding us through the whole process of picking cabinets and counter tops. Everything came in on time or a bit ahead of schedule. One cabinet had minor damage during shipment but Kim got right on it and resolved the issue quickly. Installed the cabinets DIY and the Sims team that installed the counter tops were very professional and counter top install went without a hitch! Highly recommend!!
Great experience working with Tracy to decide what we wanted. Bob long was very quick to respond when scheduling the template and installing. Isaiah, Rick and Tom did our install and were very quick, friendly and professional. It turned out great and I would highly recommend.
I had a great experience at Sims. It was a pleasure working with Kim McCourt. She was super knowledgeable of all things counter tops. Even after changing my mind 3-4 times she was very patient with me and worked me thru my decision. They have a huge selection of granite and quarts. I wouldnt hesitate to go back for any future counter top needs.
Everyone at Sims Lohman were very easy to work with and professional. Monica Grosser walked me through the whole process and was great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Love my kitchen now!
Isaiah and Chris did a great job. We can hardly see the seam. Thanks so much. Can we get Isaiah back to do the island and backsplash? Great job
We recently moved into a 3.5 year old house that had Simms-Lohman cabinets. One of the kitchen cabinet doors had a rather large scratch that needed some touch paint to repair. I sent an email with a picture of the cabinets to Simms-Lohman in Cincinnati who supplied the cabinets to the builder. Within a few hours Monica G. had ordered and sent a touch-up kit to me at no charge. I have never experienced such exceptional customer service before. Thanks again Monica.
Horrible customer service and product not guaranteed. They left plenty of seams for us to clean and did not seal properly at installation. We were supposed to have one of their reps come out today at 3pm (09-21-2018) to tan the entire granite (cover up for the darkened areas because the tops were not sealed properly). The representative showed up at 1:15pm and no one was home. So they told me to reschedule. They just assume we are sitting around and have no other work to do. No respect for other people’s time.Frustrating!!This was all facilitated by Dixon Builders. They may be harming your reputation. I would like to leave you my contact information; but since this is publicly viewed, I am refraining from doing that. I recommend reaching out to Dixon Builders they should have my information. Or please leave me your contact and I can give you a call.
Had a great experience using Sims Lohman for my basement remodel. Kim McCourt was the designer I worked with for my wet bar cabinets and countertops. Made an appointment with her and once we met she was on it! Gave me great ideas and had some really good suggestions to make my wet bar look amazing! Was surprised how quickly I got my cabinets also. Highly recommend! If you see this, thanks Kim!
They are very helpful with a great selection to choose from.
Fantastic all around. Great products. Better people.
Our experience was exceptional. We were very happy with the outcome of our project from beginning to end. I would highly recommend Sims Lowman if you are looking to remodel your kitchen. Our designer Earlene Scheid was very professional and knowledgeable. She was there for us every step of the way with any questions or needs that we had.
I had a fantastic experience with this company! If you use this company I recommend going straight through them and not using a third party. We went through Lowe’s who uses Sims for their countertop installation. Every time I worked directly with Sims they did an excellent job with customer service and communication. They were quick to measure and set up installation. Bob Long and his employees made sure they took care of me. The only problem I had the entire time was with Lowe’s which is why I recommend you cut out the middle man and go straight to Sims.
Kim McCourt was amazing to work with! She was so helpful with finding exactly what we wanted. She made the process so easy and took away all my stress because I knew she wanted things to look as good as I did! It didnt stop there. The crew that came out and did the install couldnt have been better. They even had us go get our grill out of storage to make sure it fit perfect and even did some onsight cuts to make it fit. Thank you Kim and team for making our new home look exactly how we dreamed!!!
This company is a joke. After my countertop measure, they tried to install my countertops without even permitting me to pick my own slab. When I questioned them, they sent me to Cosentino to pick out my slab, but didnt provide me or the the Cosentino rep w/ details for how many slabs I would need. Cosentino tried to turn me away, because they would not allow me to secure slab(s) without knowing how many (very understandable).Additionally, there were supposed to install my countertops this morning, but missed their appointment window. Only after calling numerous times over an hour period and emailing, did I find out they had to do some last minute schedule changes, but they conveniently forgot to notify me. Ive now wasted my entire day and still do not have my countertops.Horrible, horrible communication and customer service. I wouldnt recommend this company to ANYONE.
We used Sims-Lohman for our kitchen remodel and were extremely happy with Dave Thaler. We wanted to bring more light in to the room. He came back with a plan and he brought ideas to the table we never even considered. What I really like is that he challenged us on some of our ideas and provided sound advice to help guide us. He didnt just draw up a plan and take our order. The process (and the selection) when it comes to picking out cabinets can be overwhelming. Daves experience in working through all of that was much appreciated. It seemed like his recommendations were centered around what was best for us. This was a big project for us and they really made it easy. The turnaround time on everything and the customer service from the whole team was impressive. Thanks Sims-Lohman - I LOVE MY KITCHEN!!
Tried to schedule an appointment with this location twice. Both times I was told I would receive a callback from a Salesperson within 24-48 hours. Over 3 weeks later, still nothing. Will be going elsewhere for cabinets.
Everything that goes with the kitchen sink. Great people, great prices!
Our contractor gave us Sims Lohman as a company some his former customers had used for cabinets/countertops. We made an appointment with Kim McCourt and had a great consultation. We were likely to use them as it sounded like they would come in around our budget. We spent two hours with Kim going over our needs. It has now been over two weeks and no quote. I have emailed Kim, called he cell phone but no response. Crazy way to do business. On a positive note for us, it led us to a lot of these very poor reviews with similar issues. I am actually glad it worked out this way, rather than after they have my money!!
I tried working with this company to get granite countertops installed. I dealt with 2 different people at the store trying to get something done. Neither one of them followed through with what they told me they would do and communication was almost non existent. After over 3 weeks of waiting, still no measurements taken or granite picked out, I finally cancelled the project and went with another company. When I emailed my concerns/ frustrations all I received back from them was “Thank you”. Terrible customer service
I have used Sims-Lohman for several renovation projects including my kitchen, laundry room and lower level bar. Kim McCourt and her team are wonderful to work with and my spaces all look amazing!
Left a simple voicemail on a Friday 2 or 3 weeks ago regarding new counter tops. Already knew what I wanted as my girlfriend had them installed top to bottom in her house. Call was routed directly to a females voicemail. I wish I wrote the name down.NO CALL BACK. A POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.Life lesson. . . if you cant get customer service in the sales phase, you can be certain after sale support will not exist. My money will happily be spent elsewhere.
Great place great people
Incredible sales department- very patient with our indecision on our granite.Professional and capable installers!Couldn’t be happier with this company!!!
Where to begin... Do NOT purchase from Sims-Lohman. Truly appalling customer service.I had high hopes of working with Sims-Lohman on our kitchen remodel. We wanted to match existing marble in our kitchen and we were excited when we found a product that worked at S-L. The salesperson who helped us through the project and install was great until she stopped returning my calls and emails. After installation was complete and we paid in full, we tried to work with S-L to get the following issues resolved:1. Team did not have correct drill bit to drill sink and soap holes in marble on day of install. The team did not show up on the day they were scheduled to return to drill the holes.2. There was “12” visibly written on marble. A team was sent to remove this. It was not able to be fully removed and has created a visible divot and has not been re-polished.3. The electric outlet cut-out was in the wrong place on the back splash. This required significant effort by our contractors to relocate the electric box in a brick wall. The measurements S-L took didn’t properly account for the height of the countertop.4. The wrong ends of the marble shelves were polished leaving the visible ends unfinished. Both ends were supposed to be polished to prevent this issue. I have confirmed this was in the production notes. Now I am told this cannot be done on site and the only way to fix this is to UNINSTALL THE PRODUCT.5. The marble shelves have the rubber mesh on the underside and it is visible. The shelves should have been polished on both sides per the install plan. AGAIN, I am told this cannot be done on site and the only way to do this is to UNINSTALL THE PRODUCT. THIS IS NOT AN POSSIBLE, IT WOULD REQUIRE DESTROYING MY KITCHEN.We are still trying to contact S-L and Our salesperson and her manager to fix these issues and they are IGNORING MY CALLS, MESSAGES, AND EMAILS.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND S-L, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEIR PRODUCT. PURCHASE SOMEWHERE THAT WILL RETURN CUSTOMER CALLS.Update February 2021:Sims Lohman never called us or reached out to us to remedy the situation after I posted this review. We reached out to their sales associate who said again that they can’t do anything to help us. We asked that they at least pay for the expense we incurred when our contractor had to relocate an electric outlet due to Sims cutting the outlet hole in the wrong spot. They said they would. We sent them the invoice for reimbursement. We never heard back even after following up.
Sometimes you can appreciate how a company handles if there is a problem. I received fast response to an issue with our counters and impressed how they handle our situation. Not every situation is perfect but how they handle it was nice.Thank you good customer service.
Chloe is a great professional at her craft! Knowledgeable, responsive, and extremely helpful!! Great job!
Sims Lohman did a great job on my Quartz countertops!
We had the pleasure of working with Karli for our granite selection for our new home. She was knowledgeable the product. She was also accommodating with our schedule and patient during the selection process.
Very interesting getting to go in and lick your own piece of Granite. Jerry was patient and extremely helpful in helping us narrow down our choices.
Ok, great place to work and advance. Granite, marble, countertops are all on point.
This is a review about the process (so far) we have ordered and am awaiting installation in a couple months... So why such a high rating... Kim McCourt is the reason for this rating. We encountered her a few weeks ago and man does she know her stuff!!! We have encountered easily 50 people trying to sell us stuff during this remodeling process and Kim is by far one of our favorites. If you head there made sure to ask for her, I saw some other reviews indicated the service may have been an issue but with Kim I never Ive felt like this!!! Well keep you posted after install, I hope that installation matches the service weve gotten so far! Oh yeah, and the prices are pretty good as well.Update at the renovation stage. Kim remains awesome... Awaiting finalization of the fabrication plan and I have come across nothing but red flags regarding the fabricator Bob... He seems to be having problems that literally no other expert we have talked to feel would be problems. Will keep you posted after cutting. This will be the final update.. at this point I have no choice but to downgrade what had been a 5 star rating to a 2... While Kim remained very good to us, ultimately I simply didnt trust the operations and fabrication aspect of this place. The number of issues I had with Bob (the operational specialist) related not only to technical aspects of the granite countertops but also professionalism in general. The specific issues I had were 1) Bob said he couldnt do more than a 15 overhang when the contract that is signed indicates that up to an 18 overhang will be acceptable to be installed. 2) the final drawing from him was missing an entire overhang (crucial to our kitchen). 3) when we finally did get a drawing close to what we wanted a seam appeared on the final drawing where a seam would ruin the appearance we were going for. 4) we needed to get a window sill and this was missed multiple times. 5) when I inquired about what was going on, I received quite a condescending response from him, stating that his job was to re-orient the sales team to what is possible... There are many more things I can say here. But the most telling thing is this. I have an absolutely amazing contractor and not 1 time did Bob reach out to him. Rather than having a conversation between 2 professionals (him and my contractor) to problem solve, Bob elected to simply take it upon himself to produce grossly unacceptable solutions on his own.In the end I am getting a refund, rather than moving forward with Bob involved. To be entirely honest Im paying nearly $2,000 more to a different granite manufacturer because I was certain I was going to experience significant headaches by moving forward. Frankly speaking if it wasnt for Kim I would have rated my ultimate experience as a 1 star.
Your two teams of installers were exceptional. Talented, very polite and clean. The install job they did met all expectations. They represent your company very well.Hats off to Matt and Ben who had the challenges of making the back splashes fit into an older existing house. They were great solution providers.
Kim at Cincinnati showroom was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting granite for our kitchen. Micah was great at scheduling and coordinating the installation and plumber so we werent without working faucets and the installers were fast and excellent. A great company to work with!! We are very happy with Sims-Lohman.
We were very happy with our counter tops from Sims-Lohman. We worked with Kim McCourt and she was very diligent in making sure we got what we ordered and especially appreciated her eye for detail. We couldnt be happier!
Really nice staff. And wide selection of stone. Plus loved to see actual big blocks of stone which made it easier to decide rather than picking based on small pieces as some stores.
It was a pleasure working with Kim McCort at Sims-Lohman. She really listened to what I liked, showed me different slabs of both granite and quartz, and advised me on what would look best. She was easy to work with, responded to all my questions, and had Bob Long and his installation team ready for install quickly. I also would like to compliment the installation team on their professionalism and timeliness. My counters look great and I couldnt be happier. Thanks Sims-Lohman!
Best service I have experienced in this industry. Fantastic price, and perfect installation.
I would not recommend this company. They installed my counter tops and destroyed my home. Dust was everywhere. Our front room, dining room, living room, and inside the cabinets. I Spoke with the operational manager and he said they would pay to have our home cleaned after sending him pictures. We paid a professional to come in, sent them the receipts and he never returned my emails or phone calls. Also they had to come back because they cut the counter tops wrong. Then they tried to adjust it. The counter tops are so far from the wall even after we applied tile that it still looks bad. I wish I could give them a zero. I hope the post helps someone else. Stay away from this company. They are unprofessional!!!!
Disappointed in communication. Series of mistakes and lack of accountability. Love our granite
After researching/shopping/comparing countertops we settled on granite, but discounted everything our designer suggested because it was schist (scratched easily). We found Canyon Dawn at Sims-Lohman and since the hardness factor was of primary concern, we quizzed sales person Darlene Bossert more than once on this and were assured that only a diamond or another piece of granite could scratch it, and that it could withstand direct heat. Imagine our surprise after installation when knives, keys, etc not only scratched it, but it cracked from a heat source sitting an inch above it. They returned once to buff out the scratches while they were replacing a small chunk that was sloppily installed, and later promised to return to check on addtl scratches/the crack. After mths of inaction, we reported the problem to the BBB; their response was that Darlene denied to the president of the co. that she made these stmts to us, and they have refused to do anything more. Lousy customer service, misrepresentations about their product...look elsewhere.
Great company to work with! Highly recommend!
Great place very friendly and helpful
Nice service, quick and easy
