I love this store! I have been able to find multiple treasures for different events! The staff is so sweet and sooo helpful! Nancy runs a lovely store that fills a special niche for vintage and costume aficionados! Natalie and Mary Anne are so helpful and friendly! They all take extra time and give that personal touch that only in-person and small locally run businesses can! Cannot recommend enough!

This is literally the BEST costume shop in the area! Great staff who know exactly what YOU need, and if they dont have it, you dont need it! How have fun! We send all of our Actors from the Cincinnati Actors Studio there, and they NEVER disappoint!

Store is bursting at the seams with fantastic costume and vintage items. Jewellery, apparel, shoes, hats and more for men and women. Accessories and eclectic items to keep you busy shopping for hours. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They are also very knowledgeable of their considerable stock.

Nancy is the owner, and she is just so very knowledgeable, and so kind. This little quaint shop is the epitome of nostalgia. Clothing from the 50’s through the 90’s. She also has a Halloween costume rental upstairs. Items can be purchased, or rented.

My band does 60s 70s and some 80s music. Myself and the other guitar player were looking for platform type shoes. Amazingly they had a pair for both of us and the right size! Also grabbed a pirate shirt and other goodies. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a TON of cool stuff!!

Amazing selection and helpful employees. However, make sure you make note of return date on your invoice. The date on ours was different than what we were told verbally and the owner chastised my husband like an irresponsible child upon return.

By far the very best place Ive ever visited for vintage clothes, hats, handbags, luggage, jewelery, shoes, and outerwear. Also good for costumes. The owner, Nancy, is fantastically knowledgeable about each piece; and the whole staff is genuinely helpful and welcoming. We always find treasure when we visit!

This store has a great selection of costumes. But be VERY careful in your selection because if you want to exchange it for something else (even if it is the exact same item ...in a different color...and that item has not even been removed from the original bag), they will not allow it. This is poor customer service in my opinion. I can understand not allowing a refund, but not allowing a simple exchange of the same item in a different color is ridiculous.

I rented three things from the store and paid $29 to rent a pair of suspenders, a tie and a hat. Prices here are extremely high for secondhand costumes. I returned it a few days late and was expected to pay $50 in late fees due to a $10 late fee per day! Be very careful when you rent from this place because this is apparently how they make their money.

Terrible customer service, would not allow cancellation of a rental for legitimate reason and charged the full price for costume that was not even taken out of the store. Probably not wise to do business with a place that is more worried about their money than about their public image and word of mouth among clientele. Shameful.

Because of how much product they have it can be overwhelming when u first walk in. However...the people that work there know where EVERYTHING IS LOCATED. they have 3 huge rooms on the first floor. Go upstairs and its a themed, Halloween, cosplay dream come true. They will seriuosly hook you up.

For several years I did costumed interpretation at a local museum and when I was in need of period clothing for the 20th century, I came here. They have some of the best clothes from the early 20th century and for very reasonable prices. The condition of the clothing was always good as was the variety - two piece suits, three piece suits, jackets, ties, and hats. If youre looking for vintage clothing, start here. Odds are youll find what you need.

The real deal! If you cant find what youre looking for here for vintage or costumes, theres something wrong with you. There are really only a handful of real vintage shops in Cincinnati, Talk of the Town, Gayles, Pixel 19, Sweet Dahlia, and Chicken Lays An Egg.Talk of the Town sits at the tippy top of that list! They are definitely the #1 spot for selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff (ask for Nancy with vintage help if possible, shes an expert if there ever was one), and value. Theres no price gauging at this place like some other pretentious upscale Im cool because Im in the latest soon to be unaffordable neighborhood vintage shops that I wont mention. I mean, 2 floors packed full of killer vintage awesomeness at beyond resonable prices! Why wouldnt you go here first? Another really cool aspect of the shop is the ability to rent most of the costumes and some the later vintage.This is and will always be my go-to shop for vintage, costumes, hosiery, jewelry, and so much more. You wanna look like a million bucks and get friendly personal shopping help? Then skip the pretentious city shops that charge you $75 for a shift dress and go here first.

Im not 100% sure how to rate this place... but even if you dont buy anything its still awesome to look around and try stuff on!This place really has 2 (maybe 3) basic parts to it. When you walk in and go to the right, there are costume pieces galore! You can find just about anything here. Wanna 60s style flower power dress? 80s poofy prom dress? Wanna rock out like MJ complete with fedora and sequined gloves? I mean seriously, theres a little something for everyone!Then back to the entrance area and theres a bunch of jewelry, mianly costume, some vintage, some normal, and random nick-knacks.Then up the stairs to the right is a vintage shop heaven. Theres outfits, hats, purses, accessories, just about everything you can think of. Need a derby hat? theyve got quite a few to choose from! I think the coolest thing about this place though, is that they give you a rental option, even on their vintage stuff. If you decide you want to buy it after renting it? Theyll put your rental towards the price of it! Theyre very nice and helpful here too.Yes the pricing can be a bit steep but when it comes to vintage pricing, its not too horrible.
