Its the type of place where...... they do latte art even though they give the drink to you (during Covid times) with a lid on it.... the staff ask for your name if you come often.... the staff make their own music playlists.... the sun floods in through windows past plants and onto old wooden floors.... you can make new friends or hide away in the corner and get work done.... the drinks can be customized with single origin beans....where a coffee can also be just a coffee.... local baked goods tempt you or treat you after turning in that paper. This is many peoples other living room in Cincinnati. Regulars and newcomers alike, all seem to feel welcome. I know I do! A sign hangs above the coffee grinder... We filter coffee, not people.Try the cortado, find your favorite spot, check out local artists work, enjoy the vibes.Started in 2003, used to be just pots of coffee in mugs in the basement.Different than other coffee shops (as of March 2021): local baked goods but no food (means you can bring in take out).
Great little coffee shop. Love the boxed lunches they have too
Been here many times. I have never had a bad drink. Plus they have macadamia nut milk!
I find the ambience lovely. The coffee is great, and good for groups. The only reason for down one star is I ordered a muffin which was so hard I could hit it with my fist and wouldnt make a dent. Went in the trash.
Always super busy but the dinks always seem to be lacking. Last time I was there I got a chai latte and it tasted super bland. Cool environment though
Rachel and Owen are my 2 favs. Great business. Great service. Even better coffee 🙌🙌🙌
Im no coffee expert, so Ill have to get coffee here a lot to form an opinion on it. The ambience is great, spacious cafe, cute aesthetic. Seems like a good place to go and hang out. Wish I had gone here before COVID-19 ruined public places for me. Cute place, comfortable atmosphere, feels like i could meet the love of my life if I hung out by the door every day. Gonna have to start doing that i guess. Green materials too! Whoo!
This cafe is located inside a working church. Which is kinda different. The place is spacious and pleasant and the coffee is good
Good coffee, good pastries, and great atmosphere. A great place to sit and work for a while while.
Love the repurposed church space. My rosebud latte was a unique experience
Rohs Street is a great, casual, consistent place to study or grab coffee with people. Great coffee and espresso drinks. Good selection of tea. Baristas are friendly and welcoming. Some fun seasonal drinks. Great art around and usually some for sale. Baked goods are amazing and brought in by a local baker too. I almost always get whatever baked good is there for the day with my cortado
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The coffee is ethically sourced so youre getting some of the highest quality beans available. Josh, the manager, is so inviting it makes you feel like home. And they Tokyo matcha latte is imo one of the best things on the menu
Rohs is the best coffee place for working on a laptop
Rohs is definitely a hidden gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. The setting is comfortable and stylish. The coffee is amazing. Josh was kind enough to make me a pour over and walk me through the process so I could up my coffee game at home. I cant speak highly enough of these folks. Go see for yourself. You wont be disappointed.
Went here for the first time this morning. The owner, Theresa was so warm and friendly! The cold brew I ordered was reasonable in price, but so delicious I could have drank 9 of them. Definitely heck out this gem if youre around! You are greeted warmly each time you visit and the staff is top notch! The seasonal drinks are delicious, although I do miss the Highlander Grogg Latte they had a few years back.
A home away from home with lots of regulars and is very popular as a quiet study spot for students since the WiFi is reliable. They also have excellent coffee thanks to talented baristas and their long partnership with Deeper Roots.
Met some friends for Saturday morning coffee here and loved it! They have about 4 parking spots in the back and lots of street parking around the building. It was very quiet when we got there around 10:30 and was noticeably louder and more crowded when we finally left around 12:30. I love that it is so big with lots of tables and chairs and a variety with booths out in the middle of the cafe or tiny tables tucked in the back for whatever type of mood youre in.
This place has the worse Wi-Fi. Really Bad internet .
Rohs Street Cafe has the best lattes and macchiatos ever. The lattes and macchiatos are so delicious.
Visited about four, it was not full. I will be back with my friends. I can see why they have so many reviews.
Small, intimate place. The vendors were really nice and helpful. Also instagramable :) There are many places in the city where you can get amazing coffee
This is such a great place to get work done and have a great cup of coffee. The staff is so nice and welcoming! Also its so cute inside(:
A popular spot to go study and have a cup of coffee. I love their rotating speciality coffee selection. Great choice of music for the cozy laid back atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff as well.
The people who work here are absolute sweethearts and has a great vibe. The parking is a NIGHTMARE. My car was towed by an adjacent apartment owner and I was in Rohs parking lot. If youre walking its a great place. Good luck if youre driving.
Very friendly workers with great quality of beverages. The atmosphere is very nice too for chatting, studying, or just to enjoy the moment.*** if you are easily distracted then studying may be not be the best thing. They have quiet hours, but there are times when its full of people, music playing in the background, and on top, a band practicing in next room. But still, its a great place to be at
Love the ambience of this place. Come here when you want to work for longer hours. Friendly staff. This is the best cafe I have been in Calhoun Street.
This place is great to sit and study or get some work done. While here, I enjoyed a tea latte which was quite delicious. They have a nice variety of coffee and tea offerings, so theyve got something for everyone.
This is a great spot! I live at the Deacon and love being walking distance to this cafe :)
A breath of fresh air! Great offerings from Deeper Roots and ample, various seating suited for hanging out, studying, or just stopping in.
Great service and coffee. It is right across from University of Cincinnati, so they dont mind you sitting there for hours. They have power strips laid out on floors and have nice music playing.
Good coffee, friendly service but no food options and pretty much a student hang out spot...
Very yummy coffee and helpful staff!
I love coming here as a UC student, but I see how parking could be an issue if you do not go to UC or live in the area, but if you can get here it is worth it. A nice atmosphere and yummy teas! Great place to get excess work done
Nice spot on UC campus. Cozy atmosphere and good coffee, but definitely feels like a college hangout (which is great for those still in college!) Looks like there is sometimes live music too. Would be a good place to study or get some work done.
Hands down one of the best coffee shops in all of Cincinnati. These guys are practically the first to bring specialty coffee and great espresso to our city. I have been enjoying the vibe and drinks here for 10 years now and have never been disappointed. Staff is approachable and engaging.
It was lovely! Coffee is a bit bitter compared to surrounding shops in the city - but its also stronger comparatively.Nice service. Good atmosphere. Very Cincinnati.
Lots of great seating options and great coffee. Stopped in for a meeting and found it very inviting. Staff is super friendly too and even offered a to go cup when I didnt finish my drink and filled me up before leaving. Parking is street parking which can be troublesome, but it is Clifton so I wouldnt expect anything different.
The staff here is so sweet. Drinks are very yummy. Love the large space & the old church it sits in. They also often have many creative, fun events
Quality coffee, spacious, helpful staff - Ive been here a few times. Ive had a normal cup of coffee and the pour over. I found the coffee is really flavorful especially if youre a coffee snob. The barista answered a lot of my questions about the area which was nice. There are different spaces for different feels (studying, dinner table hang out) which is cool. Cool place to be a regular at if youre on the area!
Terrific staff and great atmosphere and vibe. Highly recommended.
Rohs Street will always hold a special place in my heart. Seriously some of the best coffee in the area, and served by the nicest people in the area. The staff and space is so friendly and welcoming. Whether you come for a quick shot of espresso, or stay all night to study for a final exam, youll feel right at home. The shop has been around for 15 years and is deeply rooted in the Clifton community. I definitely recommend the Cortados and the Tokyo.
Rohs Street is a great local coffee shop, and I have nothing but praise to give it.The staff are always very courteous, and prepare drinks very well, the coffee selection is always diverse and delicious, and I love the atmosphere. Whenever we have company from out of town, I always like taking them here.If you need a homey, comfy place to crank out a paper, meet with a friend, warm up in the winter, or relax to a great music selection while enjoying a great cup of coffee, look no further than Rohs Street!
Excellent hours, extremely welcoming staff, good prices. Tea/Coffee offerings are always listed, with knowledgeable staff. Great environment.
Love this place. Easy to focus at, and they have a great coffee and tea selection. Limited food though, mostly just unhealthy sweets. Dont come here hungry!
This place serves the best coffee in the town. Very happy with their service. The place is amazing. Every day, in my break during work, i visit this place and have their coffee. I couldnt survive my work without their coffee.
Rohs Street Cafe has been an essential part of my living in Clifton. Whether Im getting coffee or beans to go, or sitting in a corner, sipping a latte, Im always super happy with this place.
Nice atmosphere, excellent coffee of course and good food. The beans are too expensive for what they are. Sure they are small batch and the highest quality, but for that much money, I want the taste to match.
Great coffee and an awesome atmosphere. Since it’s in an old church the decor is unique and memorable. The music is eclectic, but a little loud. Definitely worth checking out.
Cute coffee shop in an old church. Its a great space to hang out in.
Some of the absolute best coffee in town with a mellow vibe, good music and most importantly of all for those on campus, an amazing spot to study.
Love the place. Kind and good service.great hours to work/study. Very less cafes are open till 11!
They take their coffee seriously, and the building (a church) is cool. Could offer more food choices, and the parking lot is very tricky. Lots of students working on their papers, also live events.
Decent coffee, very little parking.
Had no idea about this little hidden gem but was so glad to stumble upon it. Great iced tea and snacks. Fun atmosphere, lots of young people.
Open floor plan and friendly baristas allow for a positive environment to study, read, or do whatever it is that you do in coffee shops. The coffee is simple and the menu isnt bogged down by specialty drinks or frappes. Its perfect.
The coffee and tea is fantastic and the service is quick and friendly. Baked goods like scones and muffins are good. Only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because they occasionally feature live musicians that play too loud
Really good atmosphere. Great service. Youll enjoy the vibes!
Rohs Street Cafe has been an essential part of my living in Clifton. Whether Im getting coffee or beans to go, or sitting in a corner, sipping a latte, Im always super happy with this place.
Exactly what you would expect from a Cafe. Quiet enough to study or have a conversation, but not so quiet as everyone will over hear you. Plenty of outlets for laptops and phone chargers. Everyone I have encountered are friendly, the staff provides table deliver for your drink. A few larger tables for groups or spread studying, but the majority are smaller two person tables.
I dont think my opinion should be totally trusted because Im not a big coffee drinker, I just gave it a 3 because I wish they had more non-coffee choices. Its a nice place though.
The vibe is definitely chill and a space to study and relax! They have nitro coffee! Yum yum
Amazing little spot just off UCs campus. Super popular with the local community.
Very skilled baristas can make you excellent coffee drinks! Local milk, local honey, fair trade teas, housemade chocolate syrup in your mocha. (Though i prefer a cappuccino! Theyre excellent.) Laid back atmosphere and plenty of power outlets for your laptop.
One of my favorite places to go in the city—spacious enough to meet with people, but cozy enough to be motivated to get work done. Plus all the people that go here are AMAZING.
Always good to great, but took a while to get my drink. They may have been understaff at the time.
Solid cafe for working - good but not overly impressive coffee selection.
I love Rohs St. Lots of great nights studying here. Great atmosphere for studying and just overall friendliness. Highly recommend!
Nice cafe serving fair trade coffees with decent musicians on occasion, a large open space and quieter rooms, reasonable prices, and delicious scones. Parking can be tricky but usually youll find something. Its nextdoor to a church, but theres no churchy vibe in the cafe.
Really great atmosphere with wonderful art everywhere plus great coffee. Great coffee spot when you need a quiet space.
Great cofee and pleasant staffs.
Always a great experience here! Love the atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone.
Great coffee. Amazing chai. Close to UC.
Ive been going here since I was an undergrad at UC and it will always be one of my go-tos for studying, relaxing, or meeting up with friends. They also have live music pretty often and sell some coffee accessories.
Lots of room inside, and not too busy.
Management and staff are very friendly. All of their roasts are ethically and sustainably sourced (which makes it a little pricey). Some of the best espresso in Cincinnati. Try the Americano, hot or iced.
Mmmmmmm. Deeper Roots coffee. Mmmmmm
Really, the best espresso drinks in Cincinnati. Magnificently friendly and highly capable folks in a laid back space with lots of special events.
Best place to get single origin coffees and some of the most flavorful shots of espresso Ive ever had. Baristas are enthusiastic and skilled and service is quick and friendly.
The coffee was okay but every time I try to get a chai latte it just always tastes watered down
All you could want in a coffee shop: cool space, great coffee, friendly staff.
Coolest coffee shop Ive ever been to! My wife and I have been called coffee snobs by loved ones, and we dont like Starbucks. We always search for local coffee joints when traveling. This place is a jem! The setting, atmosphere and service are excellent. Really enjoyed talking coffee with the staff. They use a local roaster. 😊 And I tried Nitro Iced Coffee for the first time!
Great coffee and a great atmosphere to hang out, get some work done, or have a business meeting.
I owe a good portion of my Masters to this cafe. Thanks everyone!
Great place to study or read. Great music and decent but well sourced coffee.
+ great hours+ friendly staff+ artisan coffee & rotating selection of tea+ plenty of seating with different sized tables- crooked floor makes some of the tables wobble
Very unique and relaxing atmosphere, love to do some studying here or just grab a quick coffee to go. Definitely prefer it to chain coffee shops.
Friendly environment, typically always busy. Frequent loud talking and occasional live music make the cafe a bit difficult to get school work done. Good, expensive coffee and cookies/scones, but not a place to get a real meal, even in a pinch.
Awesome staff! Quick and friendly service and comfortable place to chill or work on the laptop!
Rohs has both great coffee, and a relaxing atmosphere. The space invites you to study for an exam, curl up with your favorite book, meet new friends or reconnect with old ones over a cup of joe, and everything in between.
The Best in Cincinnati. Great Service, friendly staff, and the best espresso in Ohio. Though the clover is missing, pour-overs are coming soon.
Great place to read and write and enjoy amazing chai latte. My new favorite place in Cincinnati!
Very nice people and good and quick service
The baristas here are consistently top-notch, and they offer a great selection of freshly roasted coffee to take home.
Very good and consistent coffee and espresso. Better than Starbucks, not as good as collective.
