What can I say about this place? Wonderful product, great and inventive flavor combinations, and a solid outdoor patio. Its a little more than the typical trip to an ice cream stand, but as a special treat is fully worth the trip.

I love, love love ice cream but Dojo Gelato is even better!! Ive tried the unusual and the traditional flavors and recommend having a scoop of each. Such as Vietnamese Coffee with Shivas Head Band or Vanilla with Chocolate, Cinnamon & Cayenne pepper! Take a walk in Wesleyan Cemetery while your there.

Accidentally drove past the parking lot (across the street next to the convenience store). Great service, fun music, and a good range of flavors. They do catering too. Cart, truck, or a bucket.

This gelato is AWESOME! First tried these guys at Findlay Market, and I have to say, I was blown away! The gelato is smooth and satisfying. Their home location offers a patio to enjoy your treat, as well as a small stage for the occasional live performer. A must try!

Love this little local gelato place. I would strongly suggest the tahitian vanilla or the vietnamese coffee flavors. When its there, there is a turmeric ginger flavor that you would think sounds awful, but its heavenly.

Dojo is the best for unique flavors and sundaes. They are consistently putting out new exciting flavors and the quality cannot be beat. I only wish the Northside location stayed open all year.

I have food allergies, including dairy. I went here with family and wasnt really expecting to get anything. They had sorbet, though, and washed out the scoops and pulled from a different part of their sorbet container to make sure I could have dessert with my family without any risk of a reaction. The man behind the counter even went back and double-checked the ingredients to make sure there wasnt anything on my list that I couldnt have. He recommended another sorbet when there was an issue with my first choice. (Yes, multiple choices!!) So he saved me from anaphylaxis, which Ill always be grateful for, and then there was the sorbet itself.I got strawberry balsamic. Intense true strawberry flavor (none of this fake syrupy taste) - made with real seedy strawberries. Just enough edge of balsamic to make it complex and interesting without overpowering the strawberry. REALLY good stuff. Cant wait to try their watermelon!

Quirky and cute. Ice cream is da best. Pineapple soft serve has a different texture than typical vanilla soft serves (probably vegan?) Nonetheless, its still good.

Gelato is one of my favorite dessert treats and Dojo does it right! Tucked away in a nook of Northside, there is a lovely outdoor patio for you to sit and enjoy your treat, both during the day and into the night. Theres also a lot dedicated for customers so you dont need to worry about street parking. If you make it in before summer is over, I highly recommend trying their summer vibes sundae - made with olive oil gelato, cherry compote, almonds, whipped cream, and of course a cherry on top. Though, you really cant go wrong here - everything Ive ever gotten here has been good!

The Vietnamese coffee gelato was stunning! It was so soft and flavorful. There were even flecks of real coffee bean! So good!

First time going we went to the farewell to summer event. They had live music and Elis BBQ. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the gelato was rich and very tasty. Was a great event with plenty of people in attendance. Awesome way to end the summer. Looking forward to this years.

Yay, wipipo eating ice cream! Gentrification at its finest! Loud venue with customers blocking driveways to get a parking spot in a mad rush to slurp down some frozen swill. Complete disrespect and lack of consideration for families that have lived in this community for many years. Trendy food stand, only going to stay around until the next housing bubble, then leave another blighted building in their wake.

Lack of parking gives this pretty awesome spot a 4 star. Gelato is pretty good overall, some could use a bit more pop flavor wise, but still some good flavors here.

This is a real treat. You can taste how the natural the ingredients are. Also staff is very friendly. Will recommend and will be back for more!!

Amazing vegan flavors!

It is a trendy hip place that sells pricy gelato. I like the unusual flavors, but I really dont like the extreme price for what you get. I got a large soft serve, it was $4 and it was only about 3 above the top of the cone. I would hate to see a small, what is that, even with the cone? PS they were out of waffle cone, but I saw a waffle cone maker, so either they were not making them, or they are out of the mix. Bottom line if you have slick back hair havent shaved or showered in weeks and think a taste of Belgium is a good restaurant, then you will enjoy Dojo Gelato. If you are no to any of the above, then skip

Dojo Northside is my very favorite place. I wish I could go every day. The gelato is incredible. They also have vegan gelato and sorbet available. The fresh hand-rolled cones are amazing. Their espresso is perfect. I love the patio,its almost like being in Europe.

So many choices, and every one is amazing. Highly recommend the Cinnamon Honey Latte, the Dutch Chocolate gelato, and the Sea Salt Caramel gelato.

After seeing this place on Yelp my husband and I were super eager to try it. The guy working was hesitant to let us sample the gelato which was disappointing. I really wanted to try more than one flavor. I got a large sweet cream soft serve which was pretty good but awfully small. It was only two swirls above the cone. They also didnt have waffle cones which was sad (even though they had the waffle cone maker there). My husband got a swirl cone but when they first tried to put ice cream in it just liquid was coming out. They finally got the gelato to come out but his cone was super soggy. Pretty disappointed in this place. Also thought it was kinda pricy for the small size. Wont be returning here.

A favorite of mine when my wife and I lived downtown. I was so excited when I saw this location being built on the corner of Colrain and Blue Rock since we were in the process of buying a house in Northside. Not as good a greaters but a great local ice cream place.

I’m super excited to have this place in my neighborhood! I’m glad that awesome businesses are continuing to open and that Northside is really becoming a great place to hang out. This place isn’t on the Main Street of Hamilton so you’ll get to explore a book you might not have gone to before!While I can’t say I was super into any of their scoopable gelato, I really enjoyed their blueberry soft serve! It was uber creamy and not over sweet. They always offer vanilla soft serve, this blueberry was seasonal and might not be available when you visit.I recommend topping whatever you get with some of their house-made hot fudge or caramel. And probably some sprinkles for a crunch of sweetness.
