Very cute, cozy space without being too closed in. Adorable little spot. Went for a chai latte, 20/10. Never been before and will definitely be racking up those little loyalty card stamps. Very friendly staff.
What a great venue. This is an intimate setting with outstanding staff, food, drinks and music...... The Eugene Goss Quartet. What a great treat. At first I thought that we were too close to the music and that the sound system would overwhelm us but it was like a concert in our living room. Just perfect. Eugene got visably younger when he started performing. My his spirit always be strong and his voice always young. Kudos to Sly and the staff. They added to the great vibe.
Nice place. Food cooked to Order and It Was Delicious... I Will Be Back For The Fried Green Tomatoes.
Music was great, cold brew was great. 10 dollar drink minimum is hard to hit when you dont consume alcohol or maybe you just want to drive. Tried to just give the waiter cash for the minimum and it turned a weird argument.Other than that, i loved it.
Loved this place! It was really a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed the live music, ambiance and the tea. I was visiting from out of town but would definitely visit again should I go back to Cincy.
I really like this place, comfortable seating, good coffee, fair prices & Im told they will eventually have some vegan options to eat. Staff is nice, good selection of beer and cool atmosphere. I am excited to come back for jazz. Would be a cool place for a casual date night. Im excited its open & will be back.
My husband and I went for the live jazz. Good drinks and delicious food were just bonuses.
Theyve combined two of my favorite pastimes: caffeine and jazz! Cozy atmosphere that makes you want to sit for hours.
Amazing place! Great music, good food, nice Intimate atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic date. Best cocktails, Sly is one of the best bartenders in Cincinnati.
Phil made up a delicious chai tea for my friend and I. He told us to check the place out and come back for some lovely jazz that evening. He was extremely friendly and welcome, which is a nice touch to the blossoming changes going on around the Walnut Hills in community. I will definitely be stopping back in.
Glad of wine. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Good location for amazing jazz concerts, very clean restrooms very good but slow service. Kinda like that bar that people keep going to for concerts and know each other. And as someone in the review below stated, way expensive with cover charge and expensive drinks .We too miss Harth for its ambience and ample space but this is not bad but just expensive for what it is.
I always have a great time here! They do a wonderful job keeping people socially distanced. Its a comfortable environment with great music! Would definitely recommend. Love the manhattans!!! Thanks Sly!
World class jazz with good food and drinks! Enough said. Try the hot chocolate.
Way too expensive and overrated. There is a cover charge for a table, plus a minimum $10 drink minimum per person. They charge you additional $10 drink minimum with every change in performer (new group). The drinks are outrageously expensive.Used to go to the Harth Lounge that is temporarily closed due to covid, but it is the best jazz club in Cincinnati. Its cozy, inviting, great musicians and reasonable drink prices - no cover charge or drink minimum.
Best place in the city to listen to high quality music!
Very cool coffee shop ( during the day)
Came here for breakfast and coffee. Loved all the windows in shop and the service was great! I would highly recommend this place!
Due who owned the blue whisp was there that night got a shout out from the stage saying this place is becoming the new whisp
Ive been twice and always have a cool experience with talented musicians. Sly makes a great Old Fashioned!
We love this place! The music was amazing. This was the atmosphere we needed! Mandie Gaines and the trio is a must see act! Thanks for a great show 👍🏾
We need more of these awesome places in Cincinnati!
I love this place! Everyone from the owner to the bar staff to the disc jockey James are all friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and it is a great place to vibe with a drink. The live music is a great way to wind down a hard work day or to smooth over a Saturday night. Food is good, but Im a vegetarian and so I havent explored the entire menu. All in all, if you are looking for a place to relax with a drink and mellow out to nice music, this is the place for you.
Came for the Jazz. Good show. Good service. Good people.
Amazing so happy to have this Jazz club in the neighborhood 😍.
Great atmosphere & delicious coffee. Cant wait to come back
Love it! Cool spot! Tasty coffee and friendly baristas!
Its clean and comfortable inside. Id highly recommend the stew. I like this place for any time of day!
Good food and great pianist. Cute place to hangout with friends.
Wonderful local jazz house featuring great music, quick snacks and a plethora of drinks for every taste. No percautions are skipped in keeping patrons and staff safe during this era of social distancing. By all means, get the tickets from their website and go as soon as you can.
NICE!Live JAZZ!Peanut Stew was Very Good!Mellow Atmosphere!
I really love their African Peanut soup. So delicious and their coffee is great too. Highly recommend checking it out.
The coffee is awesome. The service was great.
My husband and I have visited Caffe Vivace a couple of times to see some shows and we absolutely love it! We love going because its great for my husband, who doesnt drink, so he will sip on coffee as I enjoy a glass of wine or a beer as we listen to the music. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing night out. Just make sure to get our tickets online before going!
I really enjoyed my experiences here. The service is awesome. One night I came when a band is here and the music was great! Today I came to study, and it was peaceful, the music was nice and i loved my chai tea latte.
Such an awesome spot. My wife and I had a great time, wonderful music and incredible drinks.
Wonderful experience and a passionate crowd.
Took a walk over here after lunch today because the food and summer heat was making me sleepy and a friend recommended the coffee here (and the jazz in the evenings). First of all, beautiful place with an intriguing menu; I wanted to try everything including the alcoholic drinks. Secondly, service here was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I ordered their marigold mocha latte and Sly (new barista, seasoned bartender) told me he hadnt made one before so we were both a little nervous. I got it go and was just rounding the corner outside, enjoying this delicious drink that tasted like no other coffee I had ever had, when I hear someone yelling for me to wait. I turned around and Sly had RUN out to tell me that he forgot to put the espresso in my drink (no wonder it tasted so delicious). He literally went out of his way to make sure my drink was good, and took it back in to add the espresso and top it off. He even offered to make me a new one. It was somehow EVEN better when he added the espresso, and between the drink and the service, I am so touched and impressed. Go here!!
Great atmosphere, great musicians, great service great food great drinks and great prices!!! We came from lexington, ky to see JD Allen tonight early bday gift for me an loved it!
Artist are interactive with guests...small venue...perfect
Nice club, great music, good food and great service.
Love the cozy ambiance of Caffe Vivace! Came for ERMD last Wednesday, loved the seasonal white chocolate peppermint latte & chai latte. Music was good & socially distanced seating. Would recommend a visit to Caffe Vivace!
Very cool place. Coffee shop by day, local live jazz and crafted cocktails by night! You can make reservations ahead to guarantee a seat. There is a cover charge and a $10 drink minimum but the fantastic music and nice vibe negates this. Went there and heard a Cuban-Caribbean jazz band which were phenomenal. Can’t wait to stop in during the day and grab an espresso!
The band was good. Nice atmosphere. Modern yet cozy. The $5 cover collection process was a bit confusing for a first timer. Both owner and waitress were very nice and personable. Limited appetizers but they looked good. Warm (peanut butter chocolate chip) cookies were delicious. Beer selection and Mules were good. The Mule with the spiced rum was much better then the Bill Berry. Nice place.
Different type of venue offering a good jazz.
Date night during a pandemic. Love it!
Great drinks, great jazz, who could ask for more!
Love this place. Love jazz! Its just not practical for what they try to do, given how small the venue is.
Friendly staff. The decor is warm and the view is nice. The place is very small so only about 25 ppl fit so things are very snug. Remember there is now a $10 cover charge( no drink included) now on Saturdays and reservations are strongly encouraged. There is a vegetarian dish available on the limited menu, African peanut soup and some breakfast items. The local jazz talent is here regularly.
Had an adult date night here. Great atmosphere! The band was entertaining and the front man was very charismatic and funny! The service was a bit on the slow side. The $10 drink minimum and a $10 dollar cover was a double whammy also lol. Otherwise a great time definitely wanting to go back ASAP.
Pretty great all around. The reseeverations were a hassle for the staff to deal with and some people were seated with their friends who didnt have reservations while others who were there longer waited. We had a great experience overall but I do think they should look into some issues they have.
Our group of 7 came to see Camille Saba Smith and her quartet and we had a lovely experience.Caffe Vivace had a warm and welcoming vibe, great staff and unique and yummy menu offerings. We will be back!
Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. The hot cider was perfect.
Nice, pleasantly surprised. Music sounds very good. Dara Tucker has a beautiful voice and the band was exhilarating! One thing, Didnt know about the $10.00 drink minimum until the waitress came to our table expecting payment! We were only told of the cover charge.
This place is a nice venue but deceptive regarding covers. They charged a cover at the end of the night on our bill which wasn’t advertised at the door, wasn’t listed online (even though covers for other nights were listed) and wasn’t listed on their events board (again, where covers are listed for some nights but not on the night we attended). It would be appreciated if they were more honest and transparent about their cover charges.
Quaint and perfect for local jazz. Coffee bar and booze bar, something for everyone. Try and get into the front row lounge chairs, so comfy! That part of town is totally being rebuilt...I hope the jazz stays!
Bartender was very slow and rude! She said we were to loud even though we were mindful of the small and nearly empty room. If you plan on going, plan on not talking period. What a shame because its a cute place and the band wasnt bad. Now we know why it was nearly empty on a friday night.
Fantastic live jazz here - but come early. Warm and intimate, but there is a cover and a two-drink minimum per person. Drinks are reasonable and they provide table service. Small price to pay for all the enjoyment you will receive. Only parking is on McMillan or Kemper. Neighborhood is reasonably safe and well-patrolled but be aware of your surroundings after datk
A great place to listen to jazz in the evening. Good drinks and wonderful service. You must try the African Peanut stew!😋 A really nice evening!
Love the atmosphere nice place to.
Great coffee house by day and stellar jazz listening room by night. The best music, ambiance, spirits, coffee, food, clientele .....all a win - win combination. A must try if you havent already. A keeper!
Delicious coffee, excellent ambiance, fantastic service. Will definitely be returning. Love this concept of jazz n coffee. Wish them all the success.
Amazing!
Great music, great coffee, great staff. Theres usually a cover and a drink minimum so be ready for that -- its worth it, and it helps give some assurance that the musicians are making money for being there. Check out the Blue Wisp Big Band on Wednesday nights! One of the top jazz big bands in the city.
Great coffee and music!
One of my favorite places in Cincinnati! Absolutely love Wednesday evenings when the Blue Wisp Big Band performs.
Had a really great time here Saturday night. Live music was incredible, blew us away! We had reserved seats (barstools) and showed up 30 minutes early to claim. Once the show started, the emcee stressed that it was a show to listen to (implication, no talking) and said we could move to any open spots, so we ended up with way better seats (chairs with backs)! Got an oat milk latte and a pb & choc chunk cookie and was pleased with both. The staff was super attentive and very professional. Even came around and put little tealights on the tables to set the mood. Very intimate setting once the show started, a perfect date night. Thanks! We will be back!Only critique would be to add more vegan-friendly options to the menu. Burritos were sold out. :(
I love the nightly jazz artists they bring in! Their craft coffee is also a must have in the mornings. Cozy and intimate space perfect for dates, hangs, or study sessions!
Nuthin Beats Live Jazz! So happy the have the Blue Wisp Big Band!Fantastic menu & taps.
Very lovely place with great Cold Brew. I havent gotten a chance to see their jazz show but their set up is very nice! If Im ever back in the area Im returning there.
Nice neighborhood coffee house. They have lice music and entertainment on some days during the week. Unfortunately they dont open until 9 or 10 on Saturday mornings which just seems late in the morning for us early risers.
Great experience, great atmosphere, great service and fabulous music.
Lovely atmosphere great music and good service
Perfect ambiance! Super staff! Awesome drinks! Sweet live music lineup! Always playing great Jazz vinyl!!!!!
Featuring outstanding jazz talent, a quaint and comfortable club, also offers an outstanding food menu and bar. Felt like I was back in Chicago. 🎶🎺📯
Good food and music, great service.
Went for jazz & wasnt disappointed. Fair prices on drinks. Unsure how I feel about cover charge, dont know if the charge is an always or just for that night.
Great place! Sound is good, food and drink selection is good, wait staff very good, and absolutely awesome jazz performances!!
My go to spot for good coffee.
It was just ok.THE GOOD: Environment is eclectic and they have good bands and nice service. It also pulls in a decent class of people- mellow, no drama, (but mostly elderly people).THE BAD: The fact that you have to make reservations, and the row seating makes it kind of stuffy and doesnt allow you to be social with other people there. Everyone just kinda keeps to themselves and stares at only the band playing. Its fairly disengaging. Also, extremely small food selection and what they had wasnt very good. The food, cover charge, and drinks were on the pricey side: $8 for a half glass of moscato, $10 for admission, & $10 for some weird tasting flat bread thing with hardly anything on it. Oh, and they have a $10 drink minimum.... as if the cost of their drinks and admission werent enough. If this is your kinda thing, then go for it.
First time there and I really enjoyed my self, will be going back.
Small and intimate. Great place to listen to live jazz. Wait staff was friendly and efficient without interfering . Will definitely go back often.
Awesome venue for jazz music. Drink menu is pretty standard. Service is great.
Good beers, coffee, food and music.
