Very friendly, helpful when I bought a vehicle I was WELL AWARE of that needed extensive engine work --fully disclosed known problem to me -- (which is the reason I was buying it for a good price--before it went to salvage!). Not only am I sure they have good cars for shoppers who are looking-- They also has some for guys like me who like to wrench on some and give new life to them! (I do major/extensive work on vehicles such as complete engine rebuilds etc.) Turns out this car was a slam dunk buy for me and may buy more from them in the future.PSA to all used car buyers-- Always remember --with used cars--one gets what they pay for..And sometimes a seller doesnt even know about an underlying problem at the time of sale -- (you want a $1,000 vehicle with 275,000 miles on it! You have to EXPECT repair work will be needed!-- If you spend more $ youll likely get a car with less needed repairs!) There is a reason most are sold as-is---- I expected more major work with mine was needed--but ended up way ahead on this deal! --Thanks Christopher! (sure we will deal again)
I met the owner Chris and he is an honest, hard working guy. As for the people who say nobody was around when they came probably didnt walk the lot looking for anyone. He told me he has no employees and does everything himself. Including repairing vehicles he intends to sell. So with that in mind, he most likely was there but under a car doing his own repairs. I did not purchase the vehicle I came to buy, or any for that matter. The prices are fair, I was just looking for something in particular. I write this positive review because I had a positive experience with Scully Motors. America was built on the Average Joe to make something of themselves and Chris takes the bull by the horns and works tirelessly for his business.
Lots of cars annoying dog but fast and simple
Purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee April 20th for $3200. Was told nothing was wrong other than it may need a speed control sensor! Chris said he just put some new parts and a new heater core in it and that the motor and transmission ran strong! He said it was a friends car and that he has done all the maintenance on it! Fast forward to May 28th when I was on my way home from Myrtle Beach and the transmission went completely out of it in Ashboro, NC, 420 miles from home, leaving my 4 child, husband, and I stranded for 2 days! $1,500 dollars later and almost a month without driving it I got it back. Front end was acting funny had it looked at and at this point I wasn’t surprised at all when the mechanic told me that it needed about 700 worth of work! Had that done and was back on the road again having to fix little things here and there! Now are you ready for this???? The freaking heater core completely busted and the power steering up has went out! I knew it was a bad idea to get the Jeep but because I was a women I guess he thought he could get over on me! I just hope you know Chris you lied to me even after you knew I had 4 child and wanted something reliable, and you sold me a piece of trash that has made me broke down and stranded more than I ever have in my life!!!!!
I was late to my appointment was happy to still let me come later. Sold me a great car for what i paid told me exactly why the service engine was on been driven it everywere few days now n runs great. Very kind n told us upfront title could take 30 days. Would recommend this auto place will be back
Looked at a car. Couldnt get in the car. The car was filthy and looked like there was blood all over inside the back. Was told I couldnt take a test drive. Seemed really put out that I was interrupting what ever was going on in the office.
I bought a van from them and I am very happy with my purchase, they were fair and honest and I highly recommend them if your looking for a good used quality car, van or truck .
Thought I was buying a car at a decent price, was told their were no issues with the car and it ran great. Less than a week later my car broke down and needs over a thousand dollars in essential repairs :(
Great guy to work with. Bought my 07 Malibu from him and he was honest about everything telling me he just replaced the fuel pump . The check engine light gave a code for the evap sensor $48 he was willing to fix it for me. Cant complain about the lot at all I love my car . .
Over priced and rude. They dont have reliable communication between staff. Wouldnt buy a vehicle from them. Most are from trade in anyways.
Called ahead to look at a ford ranger. I was told someone would be there until 7. When I arrived nobody was there. Waited 20 minutes then gave up.Edit: owner responded saying business hours are clearly stated. I arrived at 4PM and waited around with 2 other customers. Owner is a liar and cant even keep open during normal business hours.
Great people and great deals! I would recommend to anyone looking for fair deals and pricing.
Went to look at a vehicle I saw on Facebook. When I arrived nobody was there even though sign said 10-6. I waited around but nobody showed up.
Nice place to buy cars or trucks!
This guy is super lazy, dont expect to have your title for at least 30 days after you buy the car. Also the car was leaking a massive amount of coolant, which im sure he would have let me purchase had i not shown it to him. Naturally batteries go bad after sitting for a long period of time but he failed to mention that he had to jump the car before he let me test drive it, even having to entirely swap out batteries cause the one currently in the car was awful... of course after he couldnt get it started in the parking lot of an auto zone. The guy seems to be honest... if you ask the right questions... dont expect him to tell you whats wrong with the car.He fixed everything i personally found wrong with the car (not including the 800 dollars i had to spend to get the brake pads, rotors, calipers, and tire rod replaced)He gave his word he would submit the paperwork the next day to receive my title within the week... 27 days went by with nothing but short answers and false claims to do it this week... 3 times. So to save yourself a huge headache, no i dont recommend buying a car here, go overpay somewhere else.I gave two stars strictly because he fixed what problems i found.
Had an appointment for 4 and arrived 10 minutes early and no one was there. Waited 25 minutes and after no one showed we leftYes I did try the door, it was locked. I even knocked on it! I had cash money ready to buy something, and NO ONE was there.
Great price on tires, Ill definitely be back. Thanks guys!
