Our experience with California Closets was superior! From our rep Kathy, who came out to our house for design and selection to Steve our installer, who did a fantastic job and had not 1 but 2 closets completed in 3 hours! Thank you for the attention to detail from start to finish!

I met with several custom closet companies before deciding on California Closets to customize my master walk-in closet. The 3D Design Software made it easy to design and visualize. They were very professional and on time for every appointment. I was very impressed with the quality. The only downside was it took 3 months from the initial consultation to the final installation because they are so busy. I would highly recommend California Closets to anyone looking to upgrade their own closets.

I had a great experience with California Closets! Our design consultant, Leah E., was knowledgeable and patience, as this was the first time I’ve had my closet professionally done. She took the time to listen, ask questions, and provided suggestions that I would have never thought of, for example the valet rod, which I love! In addition, she provided her both her phone number and email, and always responded quickly to my questions. The installer, Tom, did a wonderful job! I wasn’t able to be present during the installation; however Tom would text updates and sent me photos when the installation was completed. I highly recommend California Closets!

Had an excellent experience from start to finish. The design help worked with us to get exactly what we were looking for at a fraction of the cost of custom cabinetry. The installer even discovered a drawer that wasnt up to specs and came out later to replace it free of charge. Very pleased with all four closets they did for us

I used California Closets to design and install a custom pantry and mudroom. I specced this out with three different designers, and ultimately selected California Closets because of the amazing care and attention to detail that the CC designer, LauraLee, provided. Her amazing customer service lasted throughout the duration of the project. In the beginning, LauraLee took the time to evaluate my storage needs and recommend a custom solution that works perfectly. She listened to my feedback and concerns and helped through a couple design iterations until it was just right. She was responsive and communicative throughout the process, even checking in after the install was complete to make sure everything met our vision. I definitely want to come back and work with LauraLee again for future projects!

We had a great experience with California Closets. We found the pricing high, but you get what you paid for. It was worth it...they were responsive, creative, and high quality throughout the process. We are very happy with the custom Murphy bed book shelf unit they created and installed. We will use them again.

We started our relationship with California Closets on January 2nd, 2021 with an appointment scheduled for 10 am at the showroom in Cincinnati. Around 10:30 am the designer still had not arrived at the showroom, so we called him and he explained he had forgotten about the appointment. He finally arrived around 11 am.The installation was then scheduled for March 15th, 2021. The installers did not have the push to open mechanisms we had requested for the drawers with them. They called their shop and were told there were mechanisms available for pickup. However when they arrived back at the shop on that day they discovered the proper hardware was not available. We were told someone would contact us to arrange for the mechanisms to be installed.No one contacted us for months.Eventually we were told that the mechanisms would be installed on June 18th, 2021. When the technician arrived he called someone else and eventually it was determined that the technician did not have the correct parts with him. We were again told someone would contact us to arrange for the mechanisms to be installed.The installation was completed on July 16th, 2021.In between these various appointments we received virtually no information from anyone from California Closets.Needless to say we are very disappointed in the companys quality control as applied to their installations, as well as their poor customer service as demonstrated by the lack of communication and the delays in getting our installation completed in a timely manner.

We had a narrow walk-in closet that was a blank slate. We were unsure if we could afford a California Closets and what options were available. We decided to do a virtual consultation and are SO glad we did! LauraLee provided us with several designs in (and under!) our price range, based on our conversation about what needs we have for the space. She advised us very well on how to best use the space, and made the process from the consultation to the install so easy and efficient. All of this on top of being an absolute delight to work with! There’s truly a first time for everything. I have never written a review (which is why my first will probably be too long), but I felt compelled to do so regarding my service and experience with California Closets. Not only was Carly (my designer) creative in ways I never could have been, she helped to make my house a home. What started out as a small closet system, quickly turned into a closet system, a media wall, and built in nooks throughout our home. No more shoes in the entryway, there’s a place for that! No more lost keys, random mail, or even darling art work from our toddler, there’s a place for that too. The functionality is one thing, the beauty, and exceptional custom feel is another. LauraLee followed the information I provided to her initially and presented me with solid designs that were ready to be fine tuned. I worked with LauraLee to add closets and shelves to my older home here in Cincinnati. Old homes come with small closests, after all. 😊LauraLee spent a lot of time measuring my space and considering every detail of what I needed. She proposed things I had never dreamed of (a built in vanity! Pull out shoe racks!) While still being considerate of our budget. I love our design, and I also love that she was patient with us as we went through a round of edits, too. I am thrilled that I got *exactly* what I wanted & dreamed of from the moment we bought this house!Then, our technicians, Steve and Travis, were fantastic. They arrived on time, wore masks, and worked quickly and quietly. I overheard them quietly discuss that the closet doors were cut wrong, and my heart stopped because I feared this would turn into a multi-day project. Well, I dont know what magic wand they waved, because they put their heads together and cleverly fixed that issue without even skipping a beat. They are wonderful! I wish I could work with them anytime I need a contractor to fix something in my house - ha!Overall I had a great experience. Im very happy with my new closet. If I could give zero stars, I would. My small and simple closet design and installation was originally scheduled to be completed by Easter. It’s still not done, nothing has changed from the original design, and they cannot get the installation correct. Additionally, they haven’t showed up for set and confirmed appointments. Buyer Beware! At these prices, you expect professionals and high quality. Be ready for disappointment.

I wish we had more closets in our house that CC could transform. We live in a 100-year old house and closet space is at a real premium.

We just bought a new house - built 1905! In keeping with the style of the home, we wanted an area with built-in look shelves (it is an office) that would look nice. However, since it is not a public area, we wanted less expense. We got both. We asked for an estimate on a closet - we didnt think wed go with it at the time, we were going to live with what we had until we figured out what we wanted. The design was clearly so superior to what was there, we did the closet too!

Everything was as expected, clean and quick. Highly recommend for any project from garage to storage room. And of course closets!
